His Eternity

Rate this book
Fiona's has had a tough life. She's experienced more rough patches than good, but none of that has ever got her down. She kept going, choosing to see the positive in life. Since she was young, she dreamed of being saved by a prince charming. However, she never thought that he would rescue her from an alien planet auction house.
Fiona and ten other women were abducted by little orange men who dropped them off on a foreign planet; to be sold to the highest bidder. It was not fun staying in cramped spaces while they awaited their fates, but then one of the other women overhears that space pirates are going to steal them.
They don't know whether to be afraid or relieved of their change in fate.
The Pirates might be their only chance to get away from the auction, but are they better than the monstrous aliens that were going to buy them?
Fiona is about to find out because the handsome pirate captain, Graviel, claims she is his mate.

Standard alien abduction romance, nothing new to add to a standard trope/subgenre.

Compared to some of the other reviews, I think I had a later edition. There wasn't really an issue about repeated paragraphs, so at least that editing issue had been dealt with. Still, there are several issues with tense agreement, correct word choice etc. and some continuity details (Like he was waiting for her for 4 months, but his brother's been sick for 6, 4 of which his mother was scrying - so actually doing the math, he's only known about her for 2 months? Or, how he was abandoned at age 5 and has been missing for 20ish years, but he and his brothers all act like they were all major parts of each others' lives for ages before being separated - to have that sort of emotional reaction, you have to remember being part of the family, and how much does someone remember at 5?) Overall, enough to distract but not enough to really pull you out of the story.

My biggest issue was Fiona herself. She's been abused from age 12-18, and she's only in her early 20s (i.e. her escape from it all is still fairly recent). She's been abducted, held prisoner, about to be auctioned off, yet sometimes she's so happy go lucky, especially when it comes to Graviel (H) and their relationship, that it doesn't ring true. Not that I like moody, angsty h characters, but she just feels off - like the events are there to give her backstory, but she hasn't actually been given the baggage that comes with it. She's hopping into bed with Graviel with no qualms, and she's totally accepting about the pregnancy, no reservations at all, when she's barely known Graviel a couple weeks. It was just a weird character to read, especially when Graviel himself doesn't feel very developed.

Side characters were a little weird, too. I have no idea why Karen was such a flat-out bitch. Unrealistic, since most people aren't that unrepentantly bitchy without a reason (something we never got a hint about). Especially when you're stuck with people like that - isn't it human nature to try and make the best of things in order to survive? Still, I liked that Gher saw something in her. They'd actually be a story I'd be interested in.

1st person from Fiona's view. No OW/OM drama or love triangle nonsense. Kinda a flat H and a weirdly developed h. HFN ending for the leads, but a cliffhanger for the overall story of the tribes and one of the other rescued women.

Would I read more by this author? Probably not, but if it's a free find on Kindle, some of the other characters had started pairing off, and frankly, they sounded more interesting than Graviel and Fiona. So, maybe?

Fiona was kidnapped by aliens weeks ago and has accepted that she will be sold but then auction house is raided by pirates.
Fiona has been captive long enough to have accepted that she is going to be sold to an alien owner and is sitting waiting for her turn to be sold. Suddenly everything goes quiet and Fiona and the other women wonder what has occurred. The place had been raided by pirates and they are all ushered aboard their ship. Once on board they are treated with respect and told that they will not be sold. Fiona is told that she is graiel's mate and that they are heading to his home. A fast paced space adventure to snuggle down and enjoy.

When a young, abused woman is abducted with ten others and about to be auctioned off as property, she learns that pirates are there- who grab them all in what they hope is an effort to save them. She has to come to term with leaving her past life and her feelings for her new alien rescuer.

This story was good but lacked the angst that makes you want to keep reading. It could be because it was a first in the series and was introducing so many people along with a new world and characters.
The spelling and grammar did need work but I hope the author continues on improving and writing the next book. The premise was promising!

This is the first book I've read by this author and it seems appropriate to me that it's at the start of a new series. I am hoping that the next book will be just as good! This story is filled with strong, loyal, masculine alien men and fiercely independent heroines brought together as they overcome hardship and challenges on other worlds.

This story ends on a cliffhanger, but there is a HEA for now. One of the characters' future is uncertain and it will most likely be dealt with in the next book.

I welcome this new author and hope to read more of her books in the (near) future! I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Be prepared for repeats, be prepared for get it..

I liked the story then suddenly I was reading the same page over, and the next page over, then third page over... Very confusing the first time then by the third you wonder if it your down load of just a production good missed..
I had cliff hangers, and this one had a doozy.. No warning no go to book 2 just boom that's all folks so kidnapped friend...pregnant female going to birth an egg, don't even ask. I was hoping it would say how a human births a baby in a egg... No clue now.

A sci-fi romance. Fiona and eleven other women were abducted from Earth. Now they are to be sold into slavery. They have one possible hope and that is pirates. Would a master be better? Fiona is a caring woman and from the start there is a bond between her and the other women. The story will throw a lot at them but they try their best to stay together. Expect anything when it comes to space and alien planets.

This was a pretty good read. The characters were good; they had good chemistry and were really likeable. I liked that the Fionna never let anything get her down, since I'm not a fan of weak female characters. But in all a very decent story.

Graviel and Fiona have a rocky journey after him and his space pirates save her and her “friends” from the alien auction block. After they make their way to his planet things start to change. Fun and interesting characters and a good read

This is an interesting plot and one that I enjoyed reading. The characters are interesting, love can be difficult at the best of times but between an abducted human and an alien, well that’s bound to have issues! I thought it was a nice fun read with lots of action.

In desperate need of editing!!! Took a long to finish due to the poor sentence structure and confusing writing.
