Okay I discovered another jewel in the out of print oldies.
Immediately began reading and so far (110 pages in) so good.

Finished this morning and I can only say I am sad it is finished. What a writer Jim Henderson is!

With this book he is up there with my beloved Jack Olsen and that is definitely a compliment.
A story with a lot of surprises and I suggest to you just buy this book, see if you can find a copy and do not read the book description.
If I say that to you it means I have really faith in this book because I am always worried people buy books because I say so and then they might hate it. That is not a worry I have this time.

This is a story so excellently told you will be immersed in the story very rapidly and you want to keep reading.

If you have not yet read it and plan to do so do not read the spoiler in my review!

It feels appropriate that this is the book that makes me finish my 2016 reading goal of reading 112 book.

This was a great read! I love a good mystery book. This book gives you all kinds of details about the characters and their lives leading up to the murder. Major page turner! Some language.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting all that much when I picked up this used paperback, but what a surprise! It held my attention (and then some) from start to finish, and you can't ask for more than that. As far as I can tell, this is Henderson's only true crime book; if he had more I'd certainly read them.

Excellent true crime! Do not read the back of the book or look at photos to avoid a major spoiler. I read a lot of true crime and this is one of the best. A lost gem. Excellently written, as well.

This is one of the better written true crime paperback novels I have read. The story held my attention from beginning to end with the interesting details that came to light. There were surprises after surprise after surprises that i couldn't believe actually happened. I'm not going to lie I laughed at the situation Dan Willoughby put himself in (karma gave him exactly what he deserved). Trish Willoughby, her children, and her parents deserved a better man in their lives than Dan Willoughby.

While the story was a typical run-of-the-mill crime (man kills wife to be with the other woman) the writing was superb. The story kept me engrossed and interested all the way through. And yeah, since the other woman started life as a man I guess it wasn't quite that typical. Definitely one of the better true crime stories I've read.
