A very quick, digestible and entertaining young-readers version of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
I wish this was how I started reading his work as a kid vs in high school and college with the real deal.

This quick read was a fun story to read. I find that when Shakespeare's stories aren't written in old English that they are far easier to enjoy and understand.

Bit of a cheat for the book count! Very short but gives an overview of one of Shakespeare’s classic comedies. Just another 14 of these to read!

Twelfth Night in this series was not as good as Romeo And Juliet. However, still a good read.

Recommended.

Funny, interesting, easy to follow. Perfect way to introduce a kid to Shakespeare (or, if you're like me, a perfect way to introduce yourself to Shakespeare so you'll understand what's going on when you join the big leagues and read the real, unabridged version haha). Would totally re-read this, it was so entertaining.

Every single star.
I fell in love with this version, and the illustrations (especially the illustrations). When I get to read it, hopefully the original is just as good.

While I did like The Tempest more than this play, I still found it to be entertaining. This was the first play by Shakespeare that I read even if in simplified modern-English. Now that I have read both Twelfth Night and The Tempest, I plan on continuing to read more of The Shakespeare Stories by Andrew Matthews as I am now finding the stories to be better than I had originally assumed them to be.

This retelling of Twelfth Night by Andrew Matthews, is a fun, clear and engaging version of Shakespeare's classic comedy, full of funny mix-ups, exciting twist and memorable characters. Matthews does a great of of keeping the charm and humour of the original play while making it easy for younger readers or for anyone beginning to explore Shakespeare's work. Definitely a lovely and enjoyable way to experience one of Shakespeare's best stories.

I want to read more Shakespeare's but didn't know where to start so I bought the kids versions of his works. They are easy to understand and have some nice illustrations to look at, plus the covers are in my opinion so cute. Twelfth Night is entertaining and I will defiantly be reading the original.

A well-done retelling of "Twelfth Night" for children, it's simple and flowing without trivialising the story. Two afterwords explore the theme of appearances in the play and give some historical context. Good introduction to Shakespeare.

What a fun way to get kids (or even adults!) interested in reading Shakespeare! This is the wackiest story with crazy twists and turns, and the fact the we are still reading it, even in abridged form, over 400 years later, is astounding!

A tale of hidden identities and love.

The story and illustrations were good.

Reading time around 30 minutes (abridged version aimed at children).

This was a funny retelling. It allowed the boys enjoy the humor of Shakespeare without too much old English. I think they would like to hear the original now that they know the story.

Very simple, funny and easy to read without all the complicated parts of the real play. I loved the illustrations which reminded me of Dahl's books.
