Living on the road; motorcycle travels on a budget

Rate this book
Believing that life surely has more to offer than spending the majority of time either in a corporate office or an apartment block, one day they decided to embark on the biggest adventure of their life. Inspired to spend the rest of the life travelling, they sold everything and hit the road on their motorbike. They chose to become homeless motorcycle wanderers, without a set deadline or destination. It didn't even matter that their budget was meagre, their bike nearly a quarter of a century old and their tent from a discount store; freedom and adventure awaited them. This book is a continuation of their personal story. It isn't meant to be a guide to motorcycle travel (though you may find some helpful tips inside).

After reading the first episode, I was curious to follow the couple's adventure.
This time I read the other´s reviews as well of the book, which was quite different. Some people didn't like the honesty of the book, but I think that's what makes the book real. The author instead of making up a fantastic fairy tale, he was honest about his feelings and about all the people they met during their journey. Please bear in mind, this book has been written about real life.

This time the story has taken me to a new country, Iraq, which I was always interested in. Iraq is not quite a popular holiday destination thanks for it’s near past, but I knew it has a lot to offer, such as all the middle east countries. The author tells about their excitement as well as they heard a lot about the country from fellow travellers.
I was unable to put the book down as I was so excited, about how the journey turns out. In this chapter, I found a lot more information about the country and its sights as well, although a lot of detailed experience about the Iraqi culture.

I was once again delighted with the explanation of cultures, how different they react to the foreign couple and I was amazed by all the nice and warm hospitality they offered.
It really made me happy to see, that there are people around the world, who would share their food or house, doesn't matter if they are rich or one of the poorest. It's really important to not forget about the importance of giving.

I recommend these books for everyone who is interested in to read about different cultures, who loves to travel and who feels the ultimate freedom once left his/her apartment to hit the road (or airport).
