I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This was an absolutely brilliant ending to the series! This book was full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling storyline. I am enthralled with the characters of Princess Sophia and Pax. Pax has a tendency to use humor as a way to cope with situations. Pax will do anything for Sophia and in order to prove to her how much he loves her, after healing from being shot by a stalker fan, Pax and Sophia travel back to Montovia to have a royal wedding. Will Pax be able to succumb to the demands of the Sophia’s father, King Edmund, and prove to him that he is worthy of his daughter? Pax has to learn Montovia’s traditions, customs, history and laws in order to appeal to King Edmund of his worthiness and to win him over, but then circumstances turn for the worst. Will Pax be able to convince King Edmund that he is worthy of Sophia? What happened that caused the family to almost turn against Pax? Sophia and Pax have had to endure many predicaments during their time together. You get a chance to see the progression of their love—theirs was not a quick and easy love story because they had to overcome some issues, but loves does prevail. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. The collaboration between Ember Casey and Renna Peak is amazing. The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.
