Wow, I did not expect this book to captivate me like it did. The story was full of love and heartbreak with a very lovely ending. The characters where so real I felt I was in the story with them. For a 1st book this was truly an amazing read. In her acknowledgments Lindsay thanks Jessica Martin for opening Blue Umbrella Books which opened a lot of doors for her and the town of Westfield. I could not agree more with this statement. I was out of town when the store open and my 1st day back I walked around town and saw we had a new book store. And without this store I probably would not have had a chance to read this book. Looking forward to Lindsay's next one.
The assignment starts off by making you think it’s just going to be another cheesy high school romance but will very quickly laugh I’m your face as you fall in love with the characters and watch them go through realistic relationships and high school drama. You’ll start to care for every character as if you are part of their circle only to then hav that ripped away from you while a knife is inserted into your stomach, I didn’t stop crying through the last 30+ pages and just when you think you can collect yourself another knife gets added in until there is nothing left of you and all you want to do is restart the book to live in the happy and cheesy love again. So if you love having your heart ripped out of your body over and over again definitely read this book and if you don’t your lying to yourself and you just haven’t read a good enough book that rips your heart out so you should read this one.
Enjoyed this book very much. Reminded me of being in high school and what it was like to be a teenager again. Many twists and turns, kept you on your toes.
