As I read this, I thought it had a very intriguing story, albeit not terribly original. I had read Game of Thrones before reading this, and they had comparable feels. I enjoyed the fantasy aspect of the book. I'm always a sucker for dragons and magic and battles. So if you're a fan of the Fantasy Genre, then I'd recommend Cataclysmic Ascension.
