ML Millard has written an amazing story of bravery and sacrifice. From the very first words, “I was bred for slavery,” I was pulled into this beautifully written novel. I’ve always been a fan of Millard’s writing, and this novel is my favorite one yet. If you haven’t read any of Millard’s work, I highly recommend this one. It will capture your attention from beginning to end, sharing one woman’s courageous story of heroism that is sure to inspire many.
