What readers are saying: Debra always delivers... Couldn't put it down! Debra gives readers what they want. I've read every book Debra Clopton has written and as usual I couldn't put this one down!
I am enjoying this Cowboys of Ransom Creek series! However, if you haven’t read any of the other books in the series, don’t worry. You can jump right into reading Shane with no problem, as it can stand on its own.
This book is sweet, romantic fun! Shane and Reese find themselves very quickly attracted to each other, yet it seems like an impossible situation. Reese is determined that she is only visiting the small town that Shane calls home, even though she is drawn to Shane like she has never been drawn to any man before.
Their romance is swoon-worthy and so much fun to watch develop. The decisions and risks to their hearts that these two took made this a story that I loved reading from start to finish.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions were my own.

However an unexpected ice storm has her sliding off the road and into the ditch. Fortunately for her a very handsome cowboy names Shane saw her accident and stops to lend a hand! The sparks start to fly but can this city girl go county? You will just have to read to find out!!! Join the wonderful adventure in Ransom Creek and you can jump right in with Shane and then catch up with the rest of the characters! I can hardly wait for Vance's story!
I received this book as an ARC,however I was not required to leave a review and the review is based on my own personal opinion.

He’s a whole lot of country, and she’s a whole lot of city…can love bring them together? This is Jenna Emory and Shane Presley's story. Jenna Emory gripped the steering wheel of her rental as she felt the wheels of the small car slide on the icy road. It was dark outside and she still had a few miles to go before she reached Ransom Creek and her aunt Sally Ann’s place. She’s a city girl with a big career in advertising. She is not a “junk” dealer…And that was what she was doing to help her aunt. The wind was howling and pushing against the truck and trailer as Shane Presley drove down the country road toward the family ranch.it was the out-of-control car that ended up in the ditch.Reaching the car, he grabbed the door and yanked it open. In the beam of his truck lights, the driver’s gleaming blonde hair was the first thing he saw. “Are you all right?” after rescuing her from her car on a freezing winter night, Shane finds suddenly that he is as disappointed as the aunts are that she’s engaged. Will love bring Jenna and Shane together? I highly recommend reading. I am looking forward to reading more books by Debra Clopton. Shane is a handsome cowboy who loves his ranch and his little town. Jenna is a beautiful city girl whose love relationship has just terminated. Her beloved Aunt Sally lives in Ransom Creek, Texas, where she owns a B&B and an antique story, which she refers to as her junk store. Sally has a best friend, Aunt Trudy, who is aunt to the Presley boys, five of them. These two dream of marrying Jenna off to one of the Presley brothers. Therein lies some of the humor in the book since these ladies are quite forward in their comments, embarrassingly so at times.
Aunt Sally wants Jenna to partner with her in the B&B and antique store and eventually own it. Aunt Sally is childless and sees Jenna as the one who will inherit everything. Jenna, however, has a career in marketing and isn’t really interested in small town life; her dream is to work in some big city and do her marketing. She does it all on social media. After her breakup, she comes to Ransom Creek to get away for a time and send out resumes. However, she does not tell people her engagement is broken, but they notice she has no ring. Well, she lies; in her packing to come to Ransom Creek, she left it back in Seattle with her other stuff. That gets her in trouble.
The story is straight forward. Boy meets girl in a mild rescue situation. Sparks fly. The lie comes out and adversely affect their budding relationship. Feelings are hurt, but the attraction is strong and overcomes the difficulties. It is all quite predictable. The humor was helpful. Are there never any plain women or men in these stories? Is everyone always handsome and strong or beautiful? Nonetheless, It was a good little diversionary read.
Ah this is a nice book about a girl, Jenna, who lives and works in a big city and who got engaged to her boss only for him to dump her. She has an aunt who lives in Ransom Creek in the outback in Texas who runs a guest house and a junk store and as she is getting older would really like her niece to take over both. Jenna gets on a plane and then gets into a car and drives off to find Ransom Creek but it's getting cold, dark and icy and she begins to slide on the ice some way to the town. A passing trucker pulls over to see if the car and driver are ok and to help get them out of the ditch.
Then he spies the girl of his dreams!! Those are my words not the character's! Meanwhile whilst being pulled out of the car she finds herself looking up into the eyes of a very good looking young man! Ahhh! True love never runs smoothly, she is resisting all advances by her aunt to come and live with her and help her with the guest house and shop and he would love to marry her and for Jenna to live down here with him. But Jenna loves city life and all the colours and sounds and excitement that it brings. The idea of settling down in a rural backwater where it's an hour to any big city and shops is an anathema to her. But she goes to the new year's dance with her aunt and Shane whom she's rapidly falling in love, that's what comes of bottle feeding calves and kids and going to a rodeo with him does for you! Soo you know now how it's going to end, wonder what sort of wedding dress she chooses!
If you are looking for a clean Christian romance that is sweet and entertaining, this one is for you. We are back in Ransom Creek , the home of the handsome Presley brothers . This time, it’s Shane’s story. Jenna Emory , has been dumped by her boyfriend in Seattle and decides it’s time to visit her aunt Sally in Ransom Creek. On her drive to her aunt’s, the rain and treacherous weather causes her to lose control of her car. Thankfully, she is rescued by Shane. The attraction is immediate but they attempt to ignore it. Jenna, because she’s just off a bad relationship and has no plans of moving to a small town. Shane, because he thinks she’s engaged, and besides, he knows that small town living is not what Jenna wants. It was fun to watch these two interact. As well as spending time with the residents of Ransom Creek, that even though are very nosey, are also endearing. It’s also a reminder that dreams can change when you least expect it and frequently for the better. I was gifted this ARC copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Shane by Debra Clopton Cowboys of Ransom Creek Series Book Four Shane Presley thought he was just fine in his single state. He's happy for brother who recently married but he wasn't ready. Or so he thought. Too bad the girl he stopped to help is already engaged because just meeting her sure changed his thinking.
Jenna Emory is a big city kind of girl. Not a small-town girl. She finally has an opportunity to go visit her aunt in Ransom Creek to let her know in person that she appreciates her aunt's offer to partner her in B&B and junk shop, but no way will she ever fit in a small town. Even when there are such handsome cowboys like the Presleys around.
Loved the story. If you cry at stories, you may want the tissue box handy. Looking forward to reading about the rest of the Presley brothers finding their happily-ever-afters. http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
4.5 I enjoyed and getting to know JENNA & , Jenna Emory's Aunt Sally Ann in Ransom Creek. What's even better was how "Jenna met SHANE" ... and the outcome of that meeting. ... and to add to it Aunt Sally Ann is best friends with Shane Presley's Aunt too ! I enjoyed this sweet romantic story with humour and challenges too. ... sadness which is overcome with love, happiness, joy & laughter and the great folks of Ransom Creek. too ! .... & stopping by a for a bite to eat at the Diner in town ... stop by: you won't be sorry. possibly getting a full scoop on what news is being dished out !
Meh. So very innocuous as to be utterly boring. I get it. This is a 'sweet' romance, etc & yada, yada, yada. Also, the author needs to take English composition classes & buy a good thesaurus. She uses odd phrasing, completely unrelated to the idea that she's trying to convey. One example: she used the word 'craved' when she should have used starved or crazed... That's only one example of the odd way this book is written. I couldn't finish it. It's not my job to mentally correct somebody's writing skills. It totally detracted from the storyline. I don't recommend the book or this author.
How would it be possible to resist a city girl foolish enough to wear high heel boots while driving in icy conditions? And what better way for Jenna and Shane to meet than when her car slides off the road, and he ends up needing to carry her to his truck because she can't stay upright in those heels. And is Jenna really a city girl who wouldn't be able to live in the country? Or will making friends with some of the other women her age help her see that it is possible to live in Ransom Creek? You won't want to miss reading this story.
Jenna Emory loves the city life but she has decided to visit her Aunt Sally in Ransome Creek and doesn't intend to stay very long, until she meets the handsome cowboy, Shane Presley, and begins to appreciate country life. Now, she must take a leap of faith and trust in the love she shares with Shane and begin to rebuild her life in a new setting.
This story is for anyone who loves clean and wholesome romances and believes in the beauty of love and trust.
I still get a kick out of reading Debra Clopton's books which take place in Texas. This one was just as good. I loved the dynamic between the MCs, though the heroine's actions toward the end made me want to shake her. But that's part of what makes her books so easy and such a joy to read. They're believable enough to immerse into the story and fanciful enough to keep me reading to see what's going to happen next. If you enjoy sweet, clean, cowboy romance, then you'll likely enjoy this book.
This was a sweet, small-town cowboy story. Jenna's boyfriend had canceled the engagement, leaving her with unresolved feelings. She quit her job and took off to see her aunt in a small town. Jenna got stuck in the ice, and that's when Shane was driving by. Jenna and Shane had instant uncontrollable feelings for each other. Jenna planned to get her emotions in control and find another job back in the city. As Shane and Jenna got to know each other, their feeling grew. Jenna is a city girl, and Shane owns a ranch with his family. That is a major concern for them. There is a great ending.
What’s not to love with Shane Presley?? Handsome, cowboy, considerate, thoughtful, lovable!! City girl Jenna is not looking for romance in a small town but she is a caring niece who wants to be closer to her aunt. She might consider a Texas city but not a small town. Debra Clopton has written another sweet, wholesome romance with Shane! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance! I received an Advance Reader e-book of Shane from the author. This is my honest opinion.
I enjoyed reading this book. Jenna was lucky to be rescued in the snow storm by Shane. In spite of their matchmaking aunts pushing them, Shane and Jenna found they really enjoyed each other's company. Jenna was able to forget the heartbreak that had made her decide to visit her aunt. Never say never--because Jenna the city gal came to like the small country town.
This is a fun, lighthearted romance that's perfect for a vacation.
Jenna and Shane are the perfect match, but Jenna isn't convinced that she wants to remain in a rural, small town. Can Shane convince her to stay? Will he be enough?
Romance - Steamy PG / lots of kissing and thoughts lean toward the physical Language - PG / clean My rating - 4 star
Shane rescues a beautiful lady from icy roads. Even though his “princess” has told herself she doesn’t want to live in a small Texas town because of her marketing degree, she can’t help but fall for the town and Shane. Christian romance with no cursing. Debra Clapton writes great romances.
I still get a kick out of Ms. Clopton books. This is the story of Shane and Jenna. Shane recuses Jenna from the icy roads and he wants to know everything about her as they fight the attractions to each other. She is not sure they can make it work as he is whole lot country and she is a whole city. Can they help each other get over their fears? A great series so far.
I'm really enjoying this Ramson Creek series. There's so much going on,mystery, thrills and romance. The stories are great, there's something for everyone.I laughed until my eyes tested up.
Shane is falling for Jenna, but she’s only in town for a little while. Grab your copy and see what happens, when she lands her dream job in New York. I just love this series.
I enjoyed the book very much. So far I have enjoyed all the books on the cowboys of ransom creek. Looking forward to reading the next book with vance and the waitress. I enjoy reading the vbooks by Debra Clopton.
A very sweet read. I loved Jenna and Shane’s story. Sometimes as was written in the book we have to take a moment and step back to look at things. Jenna had to do this. Enjoy this story
The author Debra Clopton uses the backdrop of Texas ranching to remind her readers to rely on God. It’s a sweet clean romance between a city girl and country boy
The characters are fun, caring, so very easy on the eyes. It makes me want to move there. Even the elderly busy-body, match-making ladies are fun. This is another very enjoyable cowboy romance you don’t want to miss.
Shane is the fourth book in the Cowboys of Ransom Creek series. I never fail to be pleased when reading a book by this author, and this was no exception. I really enjoyed it.
