Prison Moon #2

Prison Moon: Dragon Fire

Rate this book
Abducted by aliens and housed in an airtight room with twenty other girls wasn't Sara's idea of a good time. Neither was being dropped into the jungle of a Prison Moon, but for the rest of the galaxy, it was. She was the entertainment. The game? Survive the lawless alien criminals who ran wild or die trying, but there was no outrunning a dragon, and he didn't seem to be in any hurry to let her go.

Toren has spent the last several centuries sleeping beneath the rubble of an abandoned temple. The wars decimated his world and now was used as a dumping ground for the most vile creatures in the galaxy. A Prison Moon where it was kill or be killed. He slumbers to escape but awakes when a female, the first he's seen in centuries, stumbles into his lair. And now that he's seen her, he's not letting her go.

But the corporation that runs the Prison Moon One has other plans. Broadcasting a televised event across the galaxy of an Arena fight between a live dragon and any willing to fight him will bring in more viewers, and money, than they could imagine. All they had to do was catch him and to do that, they had to take the girl.

Sara and Toren

Sara was kidnapped by aliens along with other girls in her college dorm. These aliens dropped them off on a prison moon. They had two choices, either go into the barren waste lands on the left or into the jungle on the right. The wasteland had no water or food available. The jungle was filled with dangerous animals as well as the worst prisoners of any species in the Galaxy. Sara ran into the jungle.
Toren is Draegon. He was one of the planets original inhabitants. When the Draegon allowed wyverns to also occupy the planet a war started. The wyvern betrayed the Draegon and helped another group kill the dragons. Toren thinks he could be the last dragon left alive because he hid in a temple for at least two hundred years. He hopes that some dragons still live in a hidden place called Dra'lera.
This story is about the survival of these two beings. The book is a little bit like hunger games in the way that everything is documented by cameras and fights are fought in arena games. People in the Galaxy can pay to view what happens to the captives and the inmates.
I enjoyed the story but wished that there was an epilogue to show if they ever got to Dra'lera and if more dragons were alive there.
I will be getting more of this series as they come out.

Dragon Fire by Lily Graison
Prison Moon Series
Sara was abducted by aliens. Really, she was. Right in her dorm room and unfortunately, right after she walked out of the shower. So...abducted naked. Poor girl. She makes a run for it when they land on some weird moon. And life just gets crazier and crazier as her life becomes what could be fodder for a sci-fi book.

Toren has been asleep for centuries. Then...a stone falls and wakes him up. He's hungry and figures whoever trespassed into the temple he's guarding will be his meal. Only...its a female. And a different hunger takes over.

Lily Graison and Alexandra Marell are writing this series. Each book is stand-alone, but they will all take place on Prison Moon One. Alexandra's first book is Ice Heart. It's a really unique series and I enjoyed reading both of the books. Looking forward to the next stories of the women introduced in each of the previous books.

I’d give this 3.5 stars. It held my interest and I found the characters likable. I feel like there was some things to be desired though.

My largest complaint with the story is how fixated the heroine is with “being a slut” when she first finds herself attracted to the hero. I’m not even someone who considers myself “super sex positive” but it just felt like *too much*. I think there are better ways to show that characters wouldn’t typically jump into bed with someone than constantly haranguing about how giving in to your desires are going to make you “slutty” and “have to wear a slut-stamp across your forehead”. Come on.

Other than that, the ending felt kind of nebulous and their story isn’t anywhere close to finished, but I'd probably read another one when it comes out. I wasn’t super impressed with the world building, but maybe that will change as the storyline continues.

I really wanted to like this, but it all fell apart after Sara meets Toren. At one point it's decided that he can't understand her and she can't understand him. However as he saves her and escapes through the jungle together, the narration seems to imply that they are having a regular conversation and everybody understands each other, which then annoyed me because they do the i'm sar touch chest epeats a few times, you touch yourself and give name and we have a word or understand name, but as he talks they both understand then it doesn't compute
At this point unfortunately at 30% in, i cannot be bothered so returning it and moving on.

Sleeper alert

When I 1st read this prison one series I was a little lost as to what and how things came into play. They say stand alone but puzzle pieces fall so much better into place when done in order. Ice heart is 1st, stone Dragon is 2nd, Dragon fire is 3rd and warlord 4th. This way when a reference is made you get it. Other then that I kinda enjoyed the series. The women are for the most part mentally and emotional strong. So far none are skilled in protector arts or real survival arts but if it continues we may see something a little different. Thanks

I am not a fan of spicy literature but since I know this author personally I decided to just skip over that. I loved the concept and execution of this book and am eagerly awaiting the next Keep them coming please.

This the second book in the series that I have read and it's totally cool . We get to read about awesome aliens . This book is about a radically cool dragon and his mate . Plus we meet the evil overlords .

Awesome

A little sad but still fantastic. I feel like all of these books are a little cut off at the end. I hope one finally ties them all together. I would like to find out how they end up.

Love It

I'm a big fan of dragon shifters and this one did not disappoint in any way. Lots of action, great story, and hot love scenes that sizzles from beginning to end with awesome characters. Truly enjoyable and a must buy.

Okay book

I liked the characters and the plot was fine. Enjoyed the world and the description. But especially disliked the lack of ending between the couple. Otherwise I would have given it a four star.

Endearing, low-cast adventure story.
Mr dragon is a perfect guy... a plot seams like variation of "the Blue Lagoon" on alien planet.
Enjoyable read.

I liked this one. It was a dragon shifter romance but the heroine doesn't know the guy she's with is the dragon she's quite rightly scared of. They have to run from and fight off the people who 'own' the planet. There is a language barrier for most of the book.

It got a bit boring in the middle as they kept settling and running as they were found each time the hero thinks he's found them a good spot. The climax was definitely gripping though. I don't think there was too much spice in this story.

I loved the establishment of the dragon community where they're trying to head to. This series only has two dragon books though that is out of four so who knows if or how it will continue. I think I would go for more of this after reading book four. I skipped books one and three though.

The climax of this story is intense as the fight with the planet owners builds and the book returns to it's darker edge. I mean it is set on a prison planet full of terrible and violent men. I wouldn't say it gets dark exactly but it gets close.
