I’m a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA, my crazy imagination, and ok, let’s be real, my dirty mind, I fell easily into writing romance.
I’m a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I’m an obsessive reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to signed books.
I’m married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.
I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Until Rayne by Elle Christensen is part of the Happily Ever Alpha World. This is my first book by Elle.

Nick Stevenson is a lawyer and works for his father’s firm in their small town in Tennessee. He is a conservative man and knows that he’s expected to take over his dad’s practice one day. But he’s been surprising himself lately discovering parts of himself he didn’t realize were there. Like enjoying working on the house he recently bought. He was out with his friends at the local bar when his eyes landed on the new bartender and “boom!” That was it. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He knew in that one instant that she was meant to be his!

Rayne Summers is a free spirit like her parents were. She goes from one place to another, one adventure to another. She is not meant to stay in one place for long. But her car chose now to break down so she decided to take a bartending job for a few weeks and hang around. It’s her first night at work when she can feel his eyes on her. She shouldn’t like his bossy, alpha attitude but for some reason, she finds it hot!

Rayne isn’t staying but Nick isn’t planning on letting her go. Will he be able to convince her that the only adventure she needs is him? This is a short, steamy read that is perfect for a lazy afternoon.

I've been reading a few of these HAPPILY EVER ALPHA Over the past week. None of them have inspired me to pull out my pimp it up review style...sigh.

description

This one was one of the better books from this crossover series. It was cute. I ADORED Nick. Rayne was a little annoying, but not overly much. It was way too short for the price though.

Nick is all about rules, to him, the word risk not only doesn't exist, but it's associated with swear words. *wink* He's always been the reliable friend, the one others know they can count on, and women overlook...until Rayne.

In Rayne's life, chaos rules and you aren't living unless you take a chance on things. She's new to town, and though her life previously involved moving from place to place, never having roots, you can tell that's exactly what she wants now. In her personal life though, a stable man was never one she would be interested in...until Nick.

When Nick and Rayne meet, he finally understands the power the boom holds over the Mayson family, and he's all in. He not only throws the rule book out the window, but sets fire to it first, because Rayne changes everything. She brings out a primal side he never knew he had, one that just chants her name, needing her to calm the beast her very presence created.

Will Nick and Rayne, two people who couldn't be more opposite, heed the call of the boom? Can Nick function without his usual strict way of life as long as Rayne is in the free spirited one he's willing to embrace? Is a HEA possible?

One-click now and follow along as these two discover opposites truly do attract.

I was really excited that Elle was bringing Nick's story to life. She definitely did him justice! She let us see a side that we didn't see in Until November - the sexy, ott alpha side.

HERO~ Nick Stevenson - who knew he had those alpha tendencies in him. He came across as a little stuffy in Until Novemeber, but I just knew he had it in him. He was a great hero and proved to be not immune to the boom!

HEROINE~Rayne Summers was the opposite of Nick. She was the free to his regimined. She had grown up living a gypsy life but you could sense then longing for something a little more stable.

SEXUAL HISTORY~ neither virgins but their pasts wasnt dwelled upon.

OM/OW DRAMA ~none

VIOLENCE No violence of any nature

SECONDARY CHARACTERS a glympse of November, Liz, Nico and Trevor

SAFETY Safe - neither are with others after meeting

ENDING~ the epilogue was cute but I needed much more. I need to know how their lives pan out!

Nick is a sexy beast!!!

Rayne is driving through Tennessee and her car breaks down. She gets a job as a bartender as she is waiting for her car to get fixed. Nick is one of the characters from Until November. November meets Nick at the bar on her first date with Asher and Nick is also the son of the lawyer November goes to see about her grandparent's will. Nick and Rayne meet on her first night of work and BOOM! Nick knows her has found his one. He just needs to convince Rayne to set down roots and stay with him.

I would've loved to read more about Rayne's parents and and Buck's parents and meeting each other. I did love the sexy scenes they were well written and so very, very hot!!! I am definitely going to check out more of Elle Christensen's book. I already read all the Fiona Davenport of which she collaborates on, but in will be checking out her books only she writes.

Good

This was a really good, enjoyable story. I liked both main characters Rayne and Nick. Nick was a pretty laid back, kinda boring guy but the moment he sees Rayne she brings out the animal in him. I liked how both characters brought out different sides of themselves. Nick and Rayne were perfectly suited for each other and proves that opposites do attract.

A rush of something dark ran through me like a freight train and almost knocked me on my ass. I’d never felt it before, but I instantly recognized it as possession. My hands balled into fists as I took in the lust-filled gazes from the crowd of men surrounding her. I wanted to shout that she was mine and use those fists to send every motherfucker there running in the opposite direction.

Nick. Finally.
I’ve wanted this man to get a story since I met him trying to take November from Asher (like that was ever going to happen … but still). I have to say, he was absolutely nothing like I pictured him from my initial encounter. I enjoyed all the layers that were Nick, especially since each of those layers seemed to be a contradiction to the others. In meeting Rayne, I think it was the first time even he was truly able to delve into himself and really decide who he is.

I’m a little undecided on Rayne. I loved her sass and quick wit, her free spirit and how she was able to peel away at Nick’s layers, but there was something about her that just didn’t click with me. I can’t quite put my finger on it, because there’s nothing inherently wrong with her, just on a personal level-I don’t think we connected. With all that, I do think she pushed Nick to get out of his comfort zone and allow himself to actually live a little more openly with exploring all the facets of himself.

A good read and I am so so so happy Nick finally got his boom!

Until Rayne just sneaked on me, much like Nick. Elle Christensen is a new author for me, so I went in hoping that I would at least like her writing style. I don't like. I LOVE it! Until Rayne is easily my top 3 favourite book in ARR's Until kindle world series.

For those of us who are familiar with Aurora Rose Reynolds "Until" series, we might remember Nick Stevenson ... the pretty much "bland" button-up shirt "boy next door" guy who dared approached November in "Until November". Now because of this Nick is not Asher's favourite person because Asher is super possessive of November. I'm so happy that Nick has his own book and wow, wow, wow ... it's always the quiet seemingly boring ones, eh? I love this Nick, his OTT Alpha shines through and he's so panty melting. I also love that he could see through Rayne's perceived bohemian lifestyle. He knew that what she really longed for was to settled and he vowed he would be the man to give it to her but at the same time to let her inner gypsy run free.

I ended reading this book with a swoony sigh and a satisfied smile. A must read!

Nick lives by a strict set of rules that is until he meets Rayne. Rayne never stays in one place that long. Rayne and Nick’s chemistry is immediate and he wants more but he has to convince Rayne. Rayne is very good at not letting anyone in but Nick is just as good at staking his claim.

I really enjoyed reading about Nick and Rayne. Nick and Rayne are total opposites but Nick is very determined not to let that stand in his way. The chemistry between them is immediate and very hot. Nick has his work cut out for him but he determined to win over Rayne at all costs!! I really loved returning to the Until Series and getting to see some of the characters!!! This book was a page turner and I wanted more!!!

This was a cute read. I gave it the rating I did because I thought it was way too rushed. There just wasnt enough development for me...character development, story development, etc. Don't get me wrong...I love a short, quick and dirty story (I read a lot of them) and I know its hard to pack a punch into a short story. But there was something missing in this novella for me and I found myself wishing for so much more.

I gave up

It started out promising. I mean, I was all for a straight laced, buttoned-down alpha that was hung like a p*rn star. But somewhere around 50% I just didn't care anymore. 🤔😇😀

What was that???
I'm kinda shocked because I didn't expect to swoon so much. Don't get me wrong, everything I've read so far from ARR Kindle Worlds are fantastic and swoon worthy. BUT. Until Rayne is the top. From the beginning I've had a goofy smile, I was sighing left and right, had butterflies in my belly and stars in my eyes!
What can I say about the characters? Badass chick and a freaking double Alpha male ( me man, you woman, drag you to my cave and f@ck you in 257 different positions). Their chemistry over the top. Their love? For-ever!
I won't say anything else, just read it!!!

P.S.
Well done Elle Christensen! You effing nailed it!

Flip of Coin 💏

Nick Stevenson by most might seem like a wholesome type of guy. Rayne Summers is a free spirit. When these two come together it's an explosion.
Nick finally finds himself when he meets Rayne. Rayne finally finds something that she was not looking for. The chemistry between these two are 🔥🔥🔥. The sex is hot.

So, I’m going to put this out there and hang my head in shame. I totally put off reading this book for one stupid reason. The leading man isn’t a tough guy, construction working bad ass. I’m not sure why, but when I read the first couple of pages my heart sank a little. I was like, oh he’s a dork. Um hello. I have no room to talk, first of all. I was queen of the band in high school, for crying out loud. ANYWAYS. Thank you lord Jesus that I got over my judgementalness, because Rayne and Nick are hashtag goals.
Story Line: Anytime I hear the name Rayne, I think of that one episode of Friends. You know, the one where Ross and Rachel are trying to think of names for their baby? Ross is all like “Hi my name is Rayne, I have my own kiln and my dress is made out wheat”. Obviously the name has sort of a hippie vibe to it. And Rayne totally embraces that. It’s in her nature to float from place to place. Which clearly poses as a problem for Nick since the moment he lays eyes on her, he’s hook, line and sinkered. She makes it very clear to him that she’s only going to be in town for 2 weeks or so. But when the time comes to leave, Nick channels his inner alpha and makes sure his leading lady knows where her home is.
Interaction: When I had my judgemental jerkface hat on, I was really skeptical of straight laced Nick. I mean, he wears ironed dress clothes and God forsaken loafers. And then there’s edgy and stunning Rayne. Clearly opposites attract. She is sassy and quick witted. Nick may be more reserved than some of the alphas in the ARR Until world, however, his inner dirty talking, possessive sexy beast comes out pretty much the moment he talks to his “boom”. He dishes out some delicious dirty talk and she throws so much sass back at him. Oh lord, I loved it so hard.
Laundry: Let’s be 100 percent honest here. Is there any doubt that the laundry scenes in this book are anything short of spectacular? I mean, come on now. Elle Christensen is the master of writing amazing laundry scenes. So, duh, Rayne and Nick get down and dirty. And duh, it’s so hot I had to fan myself. Nick surprised the hell out of me. For him being Mr. Straight and Narrow, he definitely put out on the first date. And he definitely has a mouth on him. I think I may even have a thing for clean cut guys now.
Depth: This story isn’t just about laundry. And it’s not about the bad guys coming to hold someone hostage either. It’s a perfect balance of naughty and heartfelt. Sexy and sweet. Hard and soft. Ying and Yang. You see where I’m going with this. Until Rayne is a story about people being different on the outside. People having different spirits. But once the heart recognizes its counterpart, none of that matters. Because in the end, the heart wants what it wants and all we can do is hang on for the adventure ahead.

Sigh....
I want to love all of these because I love all things Mayson's! I love the BOOM, and the insta-love, but sadly, some of these ones are hit and miss for me. This one, I think is more miss.
First, let me say that this one is about Nick... the lawyer that told November about her grandparents leaving her money.... Remember him? I wasn't sure when he'd become friends with the Mayson's, but... whatever, that's cool. He was the buttoned-up, lawyer type, right down to his loafers and sometimes flip-flops...which, to me... not cute at all.

Rayne was a gypsie, never in one place too long, she stumbles into their little town and meets Nick on her first day of bartending at the Stumble In. November likes her immediately when she goes to the bar to get her an Asher a beer (yeah, I was surprised by that too)
And how annoying is it, that these guys and girls keep getting warned off....like, I know you haven't even spoken to her yet, you're just looking at her... but don't break her heart..
What? And he's just like.... chin tilt... okay. I won't.
First, you don't know her... Second, he's not said a word to her... Third, who's talking about hearts when you haven't even met the person yet. I find that so, incredibly annoying.

I dunno, maybe I'm just too dedicated to the Mayson's, and ARR writing of them... but this one just didn't work for me, as much as I wanted it to... cuz I really liked Nick.... and I liked him in this one too, but just.... it wasn't doing it for me.... I'm sorry :(

Until Rayne
Elle Christensen
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m in 2 bids about this one, I love an alpha male, and instant love stories, but Nick was almost stalkerish, so it took a little shine away from a great story.

Free living Rayne Summers, has just landed in Tennessee , her newest town to stop in at. She’s found a job at a local bar, something to top up her bank account before taking off to find another journey. She doesn’t do long term, in life and love…. Until Nick Stevenson shows his gorgeous face at the Stumble In.

Nick 1st sight of Rayne told him this was not just another woman, she stirred feelings from that first glance, and damn he’s nit letting her go. Waiting fir her to finish her shift he walks her gone in true gentleman fashion. But that’s about where it stops, and he becomes infatuated with her. (If I didn’t know this was a romance, it would have all the perfect signs for a serial killer). Nick pursues Rayne, and over a few days, smart words turn to hit, sext nights.

Rayne might have just met her match… letting go was never going to be easy, but Nick is very easy to give it to. He just has to convince her running is the wrong answer this time. He wants forever, and won’t stop until Rayne gives in as well.

Nick & Rayne- okay so I'm going to rate the story overall a three. I felt like there was no real connection between the characters. I felt Nick was way more into Rayne than she was into him. It was more of a lust thing. As far as how it connects to the series, 🤔… almost but not quite. There were several characters from the original ARR series and they seemed to add a little more depth and explanation to what the series is about at its core. But again, there's no suspense, no danger and quite honestly I didn't get alpha male vibes from Nick. He was insecure from the moment Rayne called him “loafers” and it showed later when he was trying to decide what to wear for their first date. While he's a little confident it was more like a Clark Kent type of confident. He's not overly assertive or aggressive. I just felt more beta from him. Rayne was annoying for most of the book but I felt like the author was leaving something out with her. The way it was written, I felt like there's more to why Rayne is always moving from place to place but the author never touched it. So overall it was okay but I'm really hoping this series does not have another book from this author.
