Jesse Matthews - a grizzly shifter - is a musician who has been on the road playing gigs for far too long. Something deep in his gut is telling him there's something missing from his life, something meaningful and important, but he just hasn't quite figured out what it is yet.
Liz Haskins is fed up with being a trained culinary professional and only working in quick order burger joints. She has been looking for something, ANYTHING, that would give her life back a bit of sparkle for years with no success. But, after discovering an employment ad for a head chef for a small resort and campground in Central Idaho, suddenly Liz starts to see the sunshine that's been hiding behind the storm clouds in her life. She's found her purpose...and maybe a sexy new reason to smile again.
Can two lost souls searching for what's been missing from their lives find the pieces that will mend their yearning hearts? Maybe the path to finding love will be the same path that finally leads them home...
Back in Silver Creek, Stella and Brady are getting the cabins ready for guests, but they can’t do it alone. Brady’s friend Jesse is among the people helping Stella and Brady out. Normally Jesse is not one to settle down, he rides his motorcycle from coast to coast, plays his music and goes when things get too stale. He doesn’t think there is a mate for him, because he should have met her by now? Right? Liz decides to try for a job as the head cook for Stella and Brady. Finally something that fits her better than flipping burgers. Sure she’s nervous as all get out, especially because anxiety has always been a constant companion for her. What a great story, I absolutely love Jules Tyler’s stories: the characters are sweet and the stories make me smile, they are just what I need on the last grey days of winter. I absolutely love Jesse and Liz. I think everyone of us have had the same thoughts as Liz and she is in some way stronger than a lot of heroines, because she fights her anxiety so that she can finally be happy. Honorable mention goes to Mama Ally! She’s just a side character, but she treats all the people at silver creek like her family! I absolutely adore her, her remarks give me full belly aching, laugh-out-loud laughs! I received an ARC and am happy to voluntarily leave a review.
We meet Liz, after handing in her notice, she’s ready for a new challenge - shocked to find out that she is being considered and terrified of messing up her inteview. Put at ease by Stella and mama alley the owners of shifter creek resort...she is hopeful that things are turning her way. Even more so when she meets Jesse Matthews, if only her cropping anxiety will let her put her trust in him.
Jesse has been a nomad, restless and a wanderer for as long as he can remember. Whenever he gets that moving urge he does but always returned to his friend Brady and Stella... so when Liz shows up, he knows from the moment he sets eye on her she’s the one for him... and his bear... he just needs to convince her to trust him first.
Anxiety...so many people have it and it kinda gets brushed aside as ‘the norm’ or no big deal for those who suffer with it. I loved that this book tackled the subject in such an honest and raw way. An honest way... it was great to see Liz work through her anxiety and concerns with Jesse in an honest way. It was lovely to read and so was Jesse and liz’s story.
Jessie and Liz have a long hard road to find their happy, he is a grizzley shifter with a wandering soul and she is a Chef who has been hurt in the past who feels like she is just not good enough and let her anxiety rule her life sometimes. Can they find away to make it work? Can the magic of Silver Creek and the family there work on 2 messed up hearts one more time? This is an amazing read! It will tug your heart strings and make you feel like you never want to leave Silver Creek. I received an arc of this story that i happily reviewed
A very pleasant read through KU that I thoroughly enjoyed. This story just took me along for a nice romantic, getting to know you meander. Nothing drastic like in the first book with Alaric. You just knew Jesse was going to screw it up with Elizabeth but you can't help but like both of the main characters and it was lovely to have Stella and Mama Ally be a part of this book. Interesting ending with Landon and cannot wait to read what happens there with Kaylene and why she broke Landon's heart. If these books stay this good I will be buying them, hopefully in a box set.
This is the second book in The Silver Creek Shifters series. Although this book had no villain I loved it just as much as the first. Liz is a chef that keeps to herself and has very low self esteem as well as anxiety. Jesse is a musician/biker that also likes the wanderer lifestyle with his two friends/band mates. Jesse and his group end up at Silver Creek to help Brady and Stella with the renovations. Liz applies for the chef position for the re opening. There’s instant attraction as well as the jolt when they touch. Really enjoyed it and can’t wait to start book 3.
Another great story from Jules Tyler, I was looking forward to reading Jessie 's story. I really liked Elizabeth (Liz) she was like the the girl next door. She needs a change and a new job, so she goes to Silver Creek to work as a chef. There she meets Mama Elly whom I really enjoyed.I want a story on her, she's awesome. Jessie needs his mate and finds her in Liz and it's a hot between them! Definitely looking forward to more of of the Silver Creek Shifter!
This storyline was quite “straight to it.” I love Liz and Jesse together. The passion she has for food and the kitchen I totally relate and share with her so she excited me! I also love the way Jesse declares he’s a nomad and a loner but the moment he lays eyes on Liz he realizes he isn’t any of those and has found his mate. I also enjoyed Stella and Mama Ally and all their nosiness! This series is interesting and I can’t wait for the next one!!

Liz needs help, and to start a new life. Although Jessie is content with his life, he realizes just what he needs when he meets Liz. Beautiful story of the joys and hardships as a relationship develops.
Unusual componets that lends this story an emotional anchor, making you want more!
Jesse is such a gentleman and a bear! I love bears, so I had to read this book! Jesse and Liz are an amazing couple, and I can't wait to read more about the whole gang in the next book
This is a beautiful story. It will pull at your heart strings and make you smile. Liz and Jesse are both broken souls in their own ways. They were amazing characters. This story makes you want to move to Silver Creek.
