Martinis and Moonlight is part of a series, but this book can definitely be read as a standalone in the series. Characters and couples from previous books are mentioned in this book but it doesn't deter from this story or confuse you at all.

I hate saying this but I did not enjoy this one as much as the others. It was a really slow start and just when things were getting good, I felt like everything sort of stalled and then all of a sudden everything is great and then the books ends. Yea, was not thrilled with the ending in the least. Let me explain myself and on my rating of this.

I liked getting to know Minnie and how she ended up in Lexington. I enjoyed reading about her sister and their close family. We got to know more about Owen and his commitment issues with women. The background was good. I wish we could have gotten more between Owen and his dad after they finally got shit out in the open, but it's like that just sorta happened and then all was ok (no offense, but after being a shit dad for almost 20 years is going to take some time to adjust to new lady in his dad's life and fixing their own father/son relationship - it was just sort of swept under a rug in this situation - I didn't like that was handled).

I really liked when Minnie and Owen finally got their shit together and stopped fighting their attraction and acted on it. No, they don't become a couple because they both aren't ready for any sort of relationship but after that huge build up of sexual tension (which I enjoy), they finally give in!!m Andrea wrote some great scenes, while I've read hotter scenes, these were still enjoyable.

Then comes where I felt should have been more. Minnie finds herself wanting more and needs to cut it off with Owen. Owen starts to finally realize he's an ass but still isn't sure what to do (after lots of talks with other, he does come to realization of what he wants). I wish this part was plotted out differently. Yes, it's the writer's choice, I get that. But I just felt that everything came together too quickly and all was forgiven and worked out way too fast. Like I said, a great build up and then this huge letdown - for me anyway. And the ending - Gah! I needed an epilogue or something. It just ended so abruptly for me.

So yes, it may seem like I am bashing this book all over the place, I'm not. I would say that I enjoyed 75% of this book - which was the background and the sexual build up. What I hated was how everything turned around and everyone got their HEA way too fast without any groveling or begging or talking about things. And believe it or not that was only about 25% of this book - so that just tells you why I hated the quick ending.

Her others books in the series were much more enjoyable to me. Give it a go and see what you think because I have no doubt I will be in the minority on this one.

I'm just not sure Andrea could write better characters. I love all the people in the series! The guys are hot, the girls are full of sass and everyone in between has such a huge role that you can't help but love them too.

This book starts out heavy. Holy wow. Minnie takes on a huge responsibility to help her sister Dakota out. Their family was rocked to the core once and then again a few months later but Minnie stepping up to the plate without a second thought shows just how much her family means to her. She finds herself putting in leave of absence at her work, breaking up with her complacent boyfriend and moving to a new town all the while taking on the responsibility of being a mom figure to her nieces while her sister works through some things. Go Minnie!! That's all I have to say. You dear, are the true definition of a rock star.

Owen, sweet, hot, ornery Owen. Your typical self-acclaimed bachelor for life. Until maybe, just maybe a cute blonde comes crashing into his life, literally. He finally gives in and decides him and Minnie should just be friends. Then maybe, friends with benefits but doesn't he know that the basis for a great relationship is friendship? Minnie rocks his world in more ways than he ever wants to admit so throughout the book we just pray he gets his head together. But will he with his past hanging over his head?

Martinis and Moonlights is another great addition to this series and perfect to pick up while relaxing by the pool or beach. Now, let's have Landon's story because I have a feeling it's going to be the best yet.

5 PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER STARS!!!

Another fantastic love story from Andrea Johnston!

Owen and Minnie's slow burn story had me squirming in my seat. Damn! I just wanted them to get it on already! Seriously. The sexual tension was off the charts!!! I could feel it burning me from the pages. But when they did get it on...OH YEAHHHH. It was hella hot!!!

I loved the sense of family in this story. Not just blood family but friends as well. Absolutely loved that banter between the guys and the girls! It's one of my fave things to read in a story.

Minnie and Owen's journey made me smile, giggle and swoon. I may have also stomped my foot a few times. Ah these two!!! They frustrated me but hey, love isn't perfect but they are perfect for each other! Martinis and Moonlight is a great summer read!

I think this might be my favorite Country Road book. I enjoyed every minute of it. Martinis and Moonlight is the third book in the Country Road series, it can be read as a standalone.

I love Minnie. She is all about her family and isn't afraid to make sacrifices for them. I enjoyed seeing her come out of her shell and uncover her true self. Minnie is a bookworm. I love how it was shown throughout the book.

Owen is doing the best he can, but he has major momma issues. He is shown as an authentic guy that happens to look like a Greek god. I think he is more real life than your typical book boyfriend. It makes him that more special.

This is a perfect summer read. It make you want to snuggle up and tell everyone to leave you alone. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Martinis & Moonlight is the third book in the ‘Country Road Series’ by Andrea Johnston, and tells the story of Owen and Minnie. Both are side-characters from the previous books in the series, and I was curious for their own story, especially Minnie’s. Although I wanted to slap a certain person a few times, I’ve enjoyed Martinis & Moonlight very much.
“My heart is racing and my breath is ragged. I’d love to say it’s from seeing my life flash before my eyes. Or, from the fear and embarrassment of a box falling on me. It’s not. It’s because I know this body. I know this scent. Owen.”

Minnie is living the busy city-life with her boyfriend, until she finds out he doesn’t want to deal with the aftermath of her sister’s heartbreak. Knowing her sister needs her the most, Minnie gives up her own life and moves to Lexington to take care of her sister’s family. Still a bit hurt by her ex and buried in work and family life, Minnie is not looking for a guy, but cocky Owen is hard to resist.

Owen is your typical commitment-phobe. He’s good-looking (and knows it), charming, and popular with the ladies. But since he has had a front row seat to heartache, Owen doesn’t do love and relationships, just meaningless flings. Minnie however is different, and for her Owen tries to be better.
“I note a slight shudder from Minnie when I speak her full name. I’m not sure if it’s a shudder of disgust or lust but either way, it causes her cheeks to pinken and I like that. “Well, it was, uh, nice to see you. I should…”

As co-workers and part of the same group of friends, Minnie and Owen spend a lot of time together. Minnie is very well aware of Owen’s reputation, but she’s also attracted to him. Her life is busy and in no need of drama, so she wants to keep Owen in the friend-zone. The same with Owen; he knows Minnie is special, but friendship is all he has to offer. But the sparks cannot be ignored, so the couple sneaks around, and it’s hot and sexy. Of course, the casual arrangement is doomed to fail, so Owen and Minnie are getting a bumpy road to their Happily Ever After.

Like the other books in this series, Martinis & Moonlight is a well written story with real-life characters. I love Minnie, she’s a sweet woman who everything she can to help her sister. I love that she has a good bond with her family, I’ve read too many books lately where this isn’t the case. Owen… I don’t know what to do with you. I get your issues, but I want to slap you quite a few times. For a smart guy, you can act pretty immature…
“I was a fool for not realizing I love you.” Overwhelmed, I grab his face and kiss him. I kiss him for the words he spoke, for the feelings he’s sharing, for the amount of strength and trust it is taking for him to say this to me. “I love you, too.”

I’ve enjoyed reading Martinis & Moonlight, but due to Owen and his ‘stupidity’ I give this story 4 stars.

Martinis & Moonlight is the 3rd book in the Country Road series. This series follows four men and the four incredible women who steal their hearts. And I say steal because none of these bachelors saw these ladies coming. M&M is Owen's story, and he definitely didn't see Minnie coming. Nor did she see him coming.

Andrea had me hooked from the first few paragraphs of the prologue. This one was so much more emotional and deeper to me than Whiskey & Honey (Book 1, Ben & Piper's story) and Tequila & Tailgates (Jameson & Ashton's story). I think that had a lot to do with the heroine, Minnesota (Minnie). She was so strong. She had her head on straight and she knew what she had to do to help her family in their time of need. She was also just such a fun character and I loved that about her.

It starts off with Minnie agreeing to watch her two nieces while her sister, Dakota, takes a trip that is pivotal in her life. Minnie moves with her nieces to Lexington, where the series takes place, to prepare a home where they can all start over.

When she finds a new job, she also finds Owen. He lives an easy life. Tired of trying to win his father's affection, he he decides that falling in love with a woman isn't necessary either. That is, until Minnie shows up at his place of business. And then we get to watch as his uncomplicated life becomes a little more complicated, and he realizes that that might be exactly what he wants and needs.

I can't really say much more without spoiling, so I'll leave you with this.

I am a hard core fan of #TeamBiper. It all started with the amazing Bentley Sullivan (I call dibs!) In W&H. Andrea tried to get me to be #TeamJameston with T&T, but I stayed true to my original love. I don't know if I can say that now. I may be swaying a little more toward #TeamMinnow. Minnie has so much heart and she'd do anything for her family, including leaving a man who couldn't do the one thing she needed. And Owen, sweet lord, he is just so amazing. He's not perfect, but no one ever is. And that's what makes this book so phenomenal. It all felt so real, so emotional, and I could see their lives playing out in my mind as I read.

I love this series so much and I cannot wait for the next book. I'm certain that Andrea's spectacular writing and heart will make us all fall in love with the next hero and heroine.

I must begin by confessing that I am a Beta reader for Andrea Johnston. I had a chance to read Minnie and Owen way before the rest of you get that pleasure! Believe me, this is not a book that romance lovers want to miss out on.

Minnie has stepped up to the plate! She has stepped in to fill a critical role in her family at her own personal expense. She is temporarily taking care of her two nieces. When she takes a job working for Jamison and his construction company she's immediately welcomed into the Country Road gang and gets to know the whole crew. She and Owen are particularly drawn to each other and begin to spend time getting to know each other. They each like the other more than they should and the tension begins to pull them apart and push them together. You'll soon come to love Minnie. She is kind and loyal, dedicated to her family, selfless, sweet, and incredibly endearing.

Owen is kind of an a$*. He's focused on his job and trying to build a satisfying and fulfilling life even though he's carrying enough family baggage to hold anyone down. But, when he comes into Minnie's orbit, he wants to shed the baggage and be the kind of man she needs and wants.

Their love story is fun and flirtatious, sweet and steamy and everything you want in a heart-felt, character-driven, small town romance. I can't recommend Martinis and Moonlight enough and I firmly believe this is Andrea Johnston's best work yet! You should definitely one-click this book today!

Martinis & Moonlight has left me with a smile that returns with each memory of this wonderful story. There’s something so special about Andrea Johnston’s books that leave me grinning like a loon. This book is no different—from lighthearted antics when the girls are together to banter that turns into fanning myself moments with Owen. I giggle one moment over a round of tequila shots with Ashton and Piper and then feel sassy and sexy when alone with the hero before I remember Oh wait, I’m not actually in this story. I’m not actually Minnie. Ha! But that’s the magic of her writing. She puts you right in that scene, wanting to be in that book, and live that story with her characters. Johnston writes feel good in life romances that stick with you throughout your day and long after you read The End. I was thrilled to read this story before release and will be one-clicking as well as ordering a paperback for my treasured book shelf. This is a MUST READ book and can be read as a standalone.

UPDATE: My preorder just hit my Kindle. WOOT WOOT!

Oh my goodness Owen and Minnie are some of the most relate able couples in the romance book world.

Minnie is needing to finally be back to herself and helping her sister out in a time of need is what she needed to jump start that. Owen is about having fun, he just wasn't expecting to find it from their new office manager. This is such a great slow burn and I can't wait for more in this series.

It feels like I have been waiting for this book FOREVER but really it was just a couple of months. I guess that's what happens when you become attached to characters.I first met Owen and Minnie in Tequila and Tailgates. From the first interaction they had, I needed to know where their story was going. I was not disapointed. The tension was off the charts from start to finish.
Andrea touched my heart with a story full of romance and love in all facets. What touched me most to see was the unconditional love and support of family. As you can tell there is more to this story than just Minnie and Owen's attraction. Andrea does a great job balancing the plot and giving multi-dimensional characters.
Martinis and Moonlight is the third installment in Andrea's Country Road Series and though the characters from the other two books have cameos, this book can be read as a stand alone.

Andrea out does herself with every book I read. You meet Owen and Minnie in Tequila and Tailgates, and you just knew the story between them was going to be a interesting, fun, emotional ride. Owen is a pretty awesome and stand up guy, a little different than I saw him in book 1&2 of the series. I would have called him shallow, now, a gorgeous sweetheart! Minnie is a sweet girl who is willing to do anything for her family. But after her breakup, just wants to have some fun. Can she manage small town life and one of the playboys of the town at the same time? Although, this wasn't my favorite book of the series, I still loved it. This is a stand alone book and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I love Andrea Johnston's books. The previous two in this series were great and this is better. Andrea does a great job of getting into Owen's head. This is a really lovely story about new friendships, love, and what a family does for each other. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered them on. This book really shows that Andrea has such a range that she can hit, she follows the tropes of romance but then just adds in this depths you don't get from a lot of novels in this genre. I loved it!!!

I truly enjoyed getting to know Owen and Minnie. In the book 1 & 2 Owen seemed shallow. However, he has depths that I didn't expect and loved. I felt connected to Minnie on a few levels. It made for a great read!

The kids are freaking adorable and fun to interact with.

I also loved Owen's appreciation of clothing.

Dear Andrea,
Thank you for making this story relatable. It felt like a Hallmark movie*I love Hallmark movies* You brought them to life in a very real way!

Martinis & Moonlight by Andrea Johnston
"Accidental relationship, 5 stars"

Minnesota (Minnie) just got out of a long term relationship. She firmly thinks she doesn't need a man. All she wants to do is take care of her nieces while her sister is away and settle into the new life she found for them. She finds she loves her job which is way more low key then what she was doing, making legitimate friends, and life is good. Except for one small hiccup, Owen. He's everything she has never gone for in a man, yet she can't help but be drawn to him. Maybe hes the perfect fling.
Owen has never had a relationship with a woman longer then six weeks. He is the perfect description of a guy with commitment issues. Owen is a love em and leave em type, but he always makes sure he loves them good before he gets his fix. When he first meets Minnie he is instantly attracted to her and cant help but flirt with her. When the woman that his late night fantasy's revolve around offers herself up on a silver platter how can he say no?
Owen and Minnie soon realize that they aren't all about sex. Somewhere along the lines feelings were developed and friendship was formed. Will the bachelor finally settle down or will he miss out on the chance of forever?
These two are spicy. I loved the dialog with these guys. The chemistry was off the charts, can you say hello sexual tension? Plus if you've followed the series you get a little bit of the other characters we have grown to know. If not don't worry, you don't need to read the other two books before this one.
Plot- 5/5
Characters- 5/5
Heat- 5/5
Writing style- 5/5
Overall- 5/5

This is book 3 in the Country Road Series but can easily be stand alone. In fact I had not read the previous 2 books prior to reading this one and absolutely had no trouble getting pulled into this book.

Minnie is the definition of giving it all for your family. She steps in to take care of her nieces while her sister is recovering in a rehab center. In the process she moves them into a different town, loses her own relationship (which I don't consider was much of a loss) and takes a leave of absence from her job. She is one in a million.

Through her new job with Jackson at his construction company she gains 'real' friends and gets connected with Owen. Owen had a rough upbringing. Basically hasn't been shown much love. He has no interest in a relationship. Doesn't trust them. He starts off coming across as a self center jerk. But as the story goes along I find myself getting more drawn to him. Personally, I think he portrays himself as self centered to protect himself from feeling.

I love how the author writes from both Minnie and Owen's perspective. I feel it gives the story more depth.

This book really played at my emotions. I felt the loss her sister was dealt, the struggles that both her sister and Minnie are facing, and the feelings that both Minnie and Owen are refusing to acknowledge.

I also felt the strength of Minnie when she's faced with the difficult decision to keep being a 'booty call' or to walk away.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend that this book be a 'must read'. I do plan on going back and reading the first 2 books in the series as I feel it will add another layer of depth to the story.

This is the best Country Road book yet! I loved seeing Owen and Minnie figure out their feelings for each other so organically! It's almost like watching a tv show or a hallmark movie series, where we get to catch up on the lives of all the people that we have fallen for since book one! It's so great to see Owen so happy and grounded! This is the third book in a series, but can also be read as a standalone, each book semi-focuses on one couple in a group of friends from a small town called Lexington!

I just love Andrea's inclusive style of series writing. She has a way of tying things all up together that are just one big mess to start with. I've known Owen since book one, when he was kind of just the drunk friend, who was a tad pervy, and never really seemed like the type to settle down. He was the forever bachelor. Then in Tequila, we got to see the more man side of him at work, along with his crush on Minnie as she came in to work for Jameson in the office. I don't think he ever really saw love coming his way until it slapped him right in the face.

In Martini's, I think I really fell for Owen, I think I've seen all sides of him now and he's such a well developed character after all I've seen him go through! I was really glad to get a lot more of Minnie's story - she was such a mystery before, although we knew she had a kid in her care. The weight of her story was unknown to me until this book, and It was so hard to read and realize how amazing and caring she is.

This book is definitely going up on the book shelf, I've re-read the first two a few times now, and this is one to add to that list! So good, and so heartfelt. It felt like real life, and I can't ask anymore from a contemporary romance.

In the aftermath of a family tragedy, Minnesota Walker changes her life completely to take care of her two young nieces. Starting over in a new town, she gets a job working for a local construction company.

Owen Butler has a run in with Minnie and he can't get her out of his mind. He can't understand why someone so icy would get him so hot...

When Owen and Minnie decide to become tentative friends instead of avoiding each other, their attraction is about to reach a boiling point. But one thing they didn't count on was actually liking each other...

This was a good read! Owen has a reputation around town of being a ladies man. Unfortunately, he acts rather clueless as he flirts and generally upsets Minnie. I adored Minnie for stepping up to take care of her nieces. While she was so strong in that regard, it was disappointing when she was so passive with Owen when she was mad at him. Other than their back and forth in that regard, I liked Owen and Minnie as a couple, and how they were both strong in dealing with the individual hang ups.

This series is well written and fantastic as a whole and I was truly happy we got Owen and Minnie's story within it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Martinis & Moonlight is the third title in the Country Road series, and although it can be read as a standalone, it features crossover of characters and timeline from the previous title Tequilas & Tailgates.

I found both Owen and Minnie's characters to be incredibly endearing. Minnie is the perfect blend of sweet and sassy. She is a relate-able character, who you can't help but admire when you discover her love of family and the sacrifices she has made to put family first.

I wasn't sure what I was going to think of Owen, he comes off as a bit of a cocky ass, and player in the previous books, but he's quite a bit deeper. His outward behavior is a way to hide vulnerabilities left behind from his upbringing. Overall he is a realistic character, far from perfect but really a good guy, with a big kind heart.

I thoroughly enjoyed the build up of sexual tension between this pair, it just hangs in the air, and their chemistry is both intense and believe-able.

I really enjoyed this addition to the series, and will be eagerly anticipating Landon's story next!

Martinis and Moonlight by Andrea Johnston is the third book in the Country Road Series.
Meet Minnie - Minnesota Walker. She´s fresh out of a long term relationship and raises her nieces while her sister is away.
After a move and a new job, she wants to start over. Everything is peachy, only one man she can´t get out of her head.
Owen Butler, player extraordinaire. He´s foreman in Miniie´s new place of employment.
Owen is full of self-esteem, doesn´t do relationships and never love, like never ever.
But their chemistry is through the roof.
This book is my favorite read in the series. The characters are great, their problems are realistic and the writing is great.
Martinis and Moonlight can easily be read as a stand alone, but I recommend to read the books in order. As are: 1-Whiskey and Honey; 2-Tequila and Tailgates ; 3- Martinis and Moonlight.
I give 4,5 Stars and thank you Andrea Johnston !

Martinis and Moonlight was the first book I’ve read by Andrea Johnston and I was not disappointed with the great chemistry between Minnie (Minnesota) and Owen. This is the third book in her Country Road Series, please note that I didn’t feel lost or confused because I didn’t read the first two installments.

I really loved Minnie’s character. Her selflessness where her family is concerned was so inspiring. The way she basically put her life on hold to help her sister and nieces was beautiful. It was not an easy transition for Minnie from her corporate life. However, she knew deep down that she needed a change and took charge of the situation. Things weren’t going well for her in the relationship department anyway, so her fresh start attitude was a breath of fresh air.

Owen, Owen, Owen….it was hard to like him at first, but it was also obvious there was more than meets the eye with him and it was impossible for me to not love him in the end. He just needed the right woman by his side to help him open up and realize what’s important in life. Once he started doing that, he cleared the air with his Dad and his negative attitude toward relationships changed.

Their love story is hot, flirtatious and fun. I absolutely loved the banter between the two of them and the dual POV adds to the fun. There were laugh out loud moments, as well as swoonworthy gestures from Owen that would catch anyone’s heart. I really enjoyed sharing in their journey together to finding one another! I would recommend this story and intend on checking out other stories in this stand-alone series.

His reputation preceded him Whether he earned that rep or not it was all his. After all she had left and all she had on her plate the last thing she needed was a serious relationship. Neither one of them wanted anything more and the story is awesome as we walk along with them as they find their place. With friends like they have it wont take long. A wonderful funny emotional read that this author is always so good about providing. A little taste of life with some realism tucked in for good measure. Oh yeah she does throw some nooky in there to keep the peace but for this author it's all about the gut wrenching angst. Angst for people, angst for friends and yup angst for love. I love the way this author goes about it and you will too. Enjoy this little piece of small town goodness as you enjoy this standalone read. Actually the entire series is standalone with crossover characters which allows you the chance to not only be invested in the story but to get to know the characters even better.

Minnie is new in town and has her plate full with her new job at the construction company and taking care of her sister's two kids while her sister is away. Owen Butler is the current town manwhore. He doesn't believe in love and prefers hookups. They meet through work and there is an instant attraction, but things stand in their way--mostly they stand in their own way.

I enjoyed the book. It was a nice, slow burn kind of romance. The MCs both had issues they let stand in the way. Unfortunately, I didn't connect as well with this book as I did with the first two in the series. I felt there was a lot of unnecessary filler that sort of detracted from the main story and it dragged a little. But, overall, it was a sweet romance and I really enjoyed the HEA.

I am enjoying this series so much and I am so glad cause I found a new to me author that is all kind of awesome;)
This is the story of Minnie and Owen.
Minnie is so great. She left everything behind to move and help her family. She isn't afraid to make sacrifices, especially for her family.
That's ehen she meets Owen, a fine man indeed, and I am not only talking about his looks. There is just something about him.
Needless to say, neither are on a relationship seeking path, yet the attraction and the chemistry are there..they just need a little push lol..so they started out as friends..safe option right?!
It was a great story, I totally got lost in it and loved it so much. All the characters makes for a brilliant read and the slow build up kept me on my toes.

Andrea Johnston has once again outdone herself. Minnie is a strong lead character and Owen, at the surface, is her total opposite. What they have in common is the ability to love whole-heartedly and give themselves whole-heartedly, although Owen needed some convincing. I love how well Andrea writes small-town romances, and the steamy scenes make your heart race with passion, but there's a lot of sweetness there as well. Andrea has a talent for building the relationships of her two main characters, slowly but surely, fueled by more than just desire. "Martinis & Moonlight" is a delightful read that showcases multiple ways to love.

I fell in love with Minnie and her drive to put others before herself. Once things are going well her family suggests she try getting out there and being social. I can totally relate to her life and not wanting to do anything after how her days go. Sometimes vegging out with a great book and a glass of wine is where it's at.
Owen's outlook on love broke my heart. When your heart has been shattered by the most important people in life it's tough to have a positive outlook. One day things change and Owen wonders if he can too.
I love how Andrea incorporates the titles into important things within the book. It's always fun figuring out where the title came from.

I am going to start out by saying this is my first book by Andrea Johnston. That means that I haven't read the other 2 books in the A Country Road series.

I couldn't find one thing not to love about this book. I loved the characters so much. I loved the humor Andrea Johnston could add in to make a silver lining for the tragedy Dakota had suffered. Owen was a douche at first, but then he kind of grew on me and redeemed himself. Minnie and her comments about the things moms/single moms have to do made me laugh multiple times. I could relate so closely. Ashton, Jameson, Piper, Landon, and Ben were fabulous supporting characters, which also has piqued my interest into going back and reading the first two books in the series. Last but not least, I loved the bond that Minnie's family shared and how they raised each other up instead of beating each other down. Even though there was tragedy that occurred, that optimism was inspiring. An obvious 5-star review! I can't wait to read the first two now!

Oh, how I love this series! Andrea Johnston brings us book 3 in the Country Road series and it was perfect. I love everything about the titles in this series, they are so fitting for the characters and Martini's & Moonlight was no exception.

Owen and Minnie's book was amazing. You saw bits and pieces of them in Tequila and Tailgates and I knew their story was going to good, I just didn't realize how good. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and watching them figure out of they should give in or not was amazing. Neither one is prepared for the attraction. Owen doesn't believe in love or relationships and Minnie just got out of a relationship and has her hands full, so she isn't looking for a relationship.

Watching these two was fun. It was just what I needed and their story fit in so well with the other books in the series. The title is perfect. It fits Minnie to a tee and watching Owen grasp that about her was perfect for their story.

I can't wait for Landon's story, I hope we get one!

I love Minnie! She is such a strong and caring woman! She sacrificed so much for her family and it made me love her sooo much more!
Owen is panty dropping hot. And not regular hot, but H-A-W-T, kind of hot. There's mention of kicking his abs in the book, and it's not far off. Lmao!

Johnston wrote this book specifically to lead me on until the very end. I totally know she did it on purpose. She's evil like that. But she's also so, so good!

Okay Johnston, I'm ready for my next book. Any day now lady!
