The book is about mutual funds evolvement and growth in India and the fund managers investment styles to make money in the Indian stock markets.
Pravin has captured the sequences well from his and has described well the investment philosophy of the fund houses and also the managers running the fund houses.
I have been investing in mutual funds but didn't know how each of the fund houses got evolved in the Indian market nor the investment styles that the fund managers follow nor was aware of the lows and highs of their investment and how some of them had the patience through their convictions and waited till results happened.
Good book for someone who wants to understand the history of Indian mutual fund industry and start investing in the mutual fund industry as one can learn about most of the fund houses in India and their investment philosophy.

This is a good sequel like to Santosh Nair's Bulls Bears and Other Beasts as there are not many documented histories of Indian Stock Market. However, the commentary is biased at times, bland otherwise wherein excessive data is used to hide lack of storyline, not adding too much value. The author might be a good journalist but has no gift of writing. Hence, an average book.

First half is exciting and thrilling as it shows the game about valuations in 1990s in Mutual Fund. Than the second half is boring.
