Rodney Wiggins. That name rang bells through just about every part of South Florida. Rodney is a senior in high school, and just about every university wants him to pick their school for college due to his phenomenal skills on the football field. The thing about Rodney is that football is his first true love. Growing up in a foster home and being transferred to group homes his entire life, Rodney never really knew what love was. He had his baby mama, Troy Washington, who he loved and he thought she felt the same until he finds out that Troy’s intentions with him weren’t genuine.
Something happens to Rodney that put his football career in jeopardy. The people who he thought cared about him exited his life as soon as it was clear that his future may not be as bright as they'd hoped.
Years later, things have changed, and Rodney is stuck raising a child on his own. Feeling hopeless and defeated, he meats Eva Vasquez. Eva is the woman that men salivate over and hope to one day have a woman even half as beautiful. She works as a chief executive for a very successful magazine company and could pretty much have any man she wants, but what is it about Rodney that has her willing to look past his flaws and see the man she knows he has the potential to be?
Ohhhhhhhhhhh goddddddddd I just hope and pray nothing happens to Jr. Troy is one trifling a$$ female and Daqavious ain't no different. How could that be your friend somewhat like a brother and you sleep with his girl and come to find out 10 years later the baby he thought was his is actually yours, just trifling. I'm glad that Eva gave up on Maurice because he was a sorry excuse for a man and his daughters would have gotten the business a long time ago. I surely can't wait for part 2. Great read Diamond
Diamond Johnson, so talented and such a gifted storyteller. The most gifted writer of the urban romance genre IMHO.
She has the ability to write these tragic, heartbreaking stories that deal with the worst impulses of man, but then at some point she will intersperse the tale with humor and I'll find myself actually LOL. To invade a person's heads pace and touch ALL of their emotions with body of work that is fictional to the extreme, as most urban romances are wont to be , is an extremely rare gift. Bravo Diamond Johnson!!!
This book was so good what I loved the most about Rodney as much as life knocked him down he kept getting back up. Troy was cold and I’m sure she will regret walking out on Rodney and her son. Maurice was a bum and Ivy was dumb to play side chick. Eva came in Rodney’s life at the perfect time I hope she’s the one to give him the love he’s been missing all his life.
I can say about this so far... Engaged. The storyline and the characters have great storylines. The character Rodney, resonates with men in the world like him. Knocked down by life, but still standing. Troy...always dollars before common sense, her mother may have raised her like a friend, but being heartless and selfish was not part of the plan. ( waiting for her downfall, and that right soon). Dequavious, just a weak fool whos self esteem was weak. Thank god for coach, who may possibly be Rodneys father, I think not, but him and his wife Alex may just be good people (the world does have them. Eva..College may make you smarter, but real life is realistic, taking on a man with 3 kids, 2 childrens moms, (could not be me) him and his twin girls, would be at the police station. Loving this so far... hopefully book 2 will not be too long in the writing. Great Job Diamond.
Good lord! Diamond Johnson, you just gone do like that🤣 I’m on the edge of my dang seat right now. First off I can’t stand Trot ol’ trifling behind, she just wasn’t 💩. Second how Deqavious just gone come back after all this time just to stir up some mess. Third Eva situation with Maurice had me ready to whoop him and his little smart mouth daughters a**es them little girls was just way to much. And last HOW YOU JUST GONE END IT LIKE THAT!!!🤦🏾♀️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this one and wanted to see Rodney win. I was hoping the author had something for him to fall back on but it didn't take away from the read how it went. I'd read the next one.
Held my attention from beginning to the very end and what a ending. I couldn't put it down and still wanted more. Loved these characters and the storyline it flowed really well and moved at a steady pace. Was drawn to Rodney from the start, he already had a rough childhood and then his dreams are shattered. Thus leading him on a road of destruction and depression, then throw in his so call love leaving him things spiral out of control. Years later his son and chance encounter with Eva things start to turn around and even find true love. Now with new drama arising and secrets revealed I hope Rodney don't have a setback. Loving his and Eva relationship and how it's developing, they're good for each other. Loved that he had Coach and Alex in his life. After that ending I can't wait to see what happens next. Even though, there were so grammar errors and misplaced names, it didn't take away from the story. Recommend this book. Job well done Diamond Johnson. #404
OMG I really loved this story about Rodney Wiggins and Troy
Troy and Rodney high school sweetheart and when he was down she walked away. Rodney was devastated and she left his son as well when she knew the baby wasn't his. He was abandoned by his parents he faced so many obstacles. He was broken and insecurities he worked hard to provide a life for his son. He got in trouble petty crimes committed went to jail. I admired his coach took him and his son he like a father figure to him. His coach has sickle cell disease and he has battling for years he want Rodney to take over the gym and start coaching and aspiring others young boys to dream big and encourage the to do anything they put their mind to. Eva Vasquez was with sorry tail user Maurice Boyd who was playing her and still messing with his baby mother. Had three kids two disrespectful twins he also had a vasectomy and didn't tell her she was in a toxic relationship which was emotional draining he also had a gay son. She waste 4 years of time with this dead beat clown. She finally let that loser go and she discovered Rodney he was a breath of fresh air. Troy Washington video vixen and porn star left her son and Rodney 10 years ago. What mother leaves her child because she couldn't handle being broke. When she knew her son was Deqavious Cruz his best friend she slept with out a condom while he was in football camp seven months prior that why she didn't like him. The sad part about it is that her child never got to know her he knows his grandmother who would by him thing and pick him up on weekends. Now her past is coming back to haunt her because Deqavious mother told him Rodney son looks like him he secretly did a DNA test on him he confronts Troy it complicated he also may fight for him. She also has to come clean with Abdullah McCoy aka Get -em. How could you uproot him for the only father he knows. OMG did Rodney Jr. get hurt what will happen next when the shit hit the fan this will devastated Rodney Wiggins and his life he has established for his son and the relationship with his brother will forever changed. Deqavious Cruz is definitely not loyal and jealous of his best friend who betrayed him in the worst way.
So, I have been binging on books from this author, and I must say it truly feels like a needle in a haystack because, after I read one series, I would have to grade at 2 other series who were so mediocre until I get another good one; and this one does not seem to be mediocre at all... Rodney, my goodness, how do you do it? This man, this alpha male is so strong, so beauty, so wise and humble and just so bae 365 days a year, that it's impossible not to feel what's happening to him and root for him to be great again. Eva, man, girl, God know exactly why he had you waiting and going through all of these milestones, because he was saving greatness for you. Troy, there aren't any words to describe you except that karma can be a mean lady when you meet her. Mother to mother, you have degraded this word. Dequavious you need to step out and stay out. Man you are such a fake, same as Maurice. Coach, wow. Just wow, and again wow... Wish I had one back in the days. Now Junior, you can't go out like that now, you know that right???
To start off I hope that ending is a scare tactic to get Rodney out the hood!!! I won't be able to take it so I know he won't either. Now to the real, I don't know what to say about Troy and Deqavious because they both some nasty people. No matter what happened with Rodney Troy needed to be a woman because she did all those things to get pregnant by him and Deqavious just really was jealous of him and you can see it now that they are older. Rodney never treated them any different because he thought they were for him but turns out they like everyone else. Glad Coach, Ms. Alex and Eva will be there for him. I love the humbleness of Eva because many people get to her position and act different, for getting where they came from. I love her relationship with her mom and grandmother also. Part 2 should be great!!!
I'm so into this book that I don't know where to start. Rodney has had it rough his whole life growing up in foster care and things started to looking up for him when he started playing football. All his hopes and dreams centered around football until he was majorly hurt and couldn't play anymore. Had run ins with the law but Coach and his wife, Alex, never turned their backs on him to the point that they raised his son while he was in prison. Now the son that he loves so much and is trying to get his life back on track for really isn't his son but his best friend who he considers a brother. Troy and Deqavious will have a lot of explaining to do.
It's sad when people r only with u for one reason and that sometimes is to get ahead in life. Regardless of the situation Tory and Dequavious was wrong and the truth should have been told now he wants to do the unthinkable. Tory is a piece of work and karma is going to get her no matter what. She don't deserve the happiness she got right know she deserves to feel pain just like she let Rodney feel ten years ago. Eva deserves to be happy and her ex fiance he was a piece of work along with his rude daughters. I hope the ending of this book didn't mean what I think it does because it will definitely be tragic.
Loving You Without Limits is an emotional and heartfelt story of second chances, healing, and unexpected love. Rodney's journey—from a troubled past and shattered dreams to becoming a single father trying to rebuild his life—is raw and inspiring. Eva brings warmth, strength, and a love that sees beyond his scars, making their connection feel genuine and deeply moving. With strong character development and real-life challenges, this story is a beautiful reminder that love can find us even in our darkest moments.
I swear I never clicked download on a book so fast. As always Diamond never disappoints and this book was amazing. It goes beyond a typical urban fictional novel about drug dealers. I pray that Rodney and Eva become the Barack and Michelle of Miami and that Troy and Rodney's so called best friend get everything that's coming to their shady asses tenfold. I hope little TH is okay and that coach can hold on just a little while longer
Bomb.com I love me some rodney. Even though he had some downfalls he is still one strong a** black man. I was so glad when Eva finally stood up for her self against Maurice and his daughters. I can't wait to see where things go with her and rodney. Dequavious done came back in the pic about to start some mess. I just hope he ready for a war with rodney. Amazing book by diamond and I can't wait for part 2!
Why diamond johnson couldn't let that man be great. Rodney had so much happen to him and then this cliffhanger. Troy is a deadbeat mom ran away from her responsibility and left that man with a child that may have not been his. Dequavis has got to be the worst best friend ever all his sad life wanting to be like rodney. Eva has such a beautiful soul just what rodney needed. Cant wait 2 see how Diamond fix this poor rj .
I could not put this book down. Rodney was dealt a bad hand in life. Growing up in the foster system he did not know his mother or father. He was good at football but life dealt him another bad hand and his football career went down drain. Troy ain't s$#@ for what she did and his best friend is definitely ain't s$#@! I am ready for book 2 because I want to see how this will play out!!!!
OMGGGGGG!!!! This storyline had me in tears!!! I went through all the emotions!!! Rodney can’t seem to catch a break... I love the ppl who are apart of his life and I just love the way he loves his son and I did say son bc he raise Jr... I love Coach and Eva!!! I know things are going to get worst before things gets better and I know it’s going to break his heart when he find out Jr. isn’t his... pleas let Jr. be ok!!! I can’t wait for part 2.
When I tell you I gasp many times reading this and even throw out a couple "oh hell nos". Troy is a new type of Trifiling or is she? Quaivis or however his name is spelled is dead wrong for the way he handled that situation. Maurice and his throw away (because they needed to be thrown away) children were a hot mess. I can't wait for Part 2. I hope I don't have to wait a 5th of Sundays for it.
I have always enjoyed reading Diamond Johnson's books. I especially like this book because although it is an urban fiction, it goes beyond the drug-dealer or stripper characters that are so common in these types of books. Rodney has a big heart which has been broken so many times. Eva has some insecurities which sometimes put her at risk of being used. I hope this couple is able to overcome what I am sure are many more disappointments coming their way.
This story isn’t ur typical Diamond Johnson story but I loved EVERY moment of this book. Rodney is a strong man who has had a tough go at life and Eva is just what he needed to bring his confidence back and heal him. As far as Troy and Deqavious they some nasty ass ppl who sleeps with their boyfriends bf and what bf sleeps with his homie gf...please don’t kill JR Diamond let him live don’t make him pay for the sins of his father (insert UGLY cry)
Diamond Johnson is one of my favorite authors to read ! This book is drama filled, romantic and will have you in your feelings. The entire time I was reading i was holding on to the edge of my seat anticipated the next chapter! I won't give any spoil alerts but whenever I am looking for a series to read Diamonds words always feeds my soul.
This book was great!! First off Troy aka baby doll is wrong as hell..... SMH... what kind of mom will leave there kid behind with a cripple man at the time that’s not even the father. And D... what kind of brother is he???? I am so glad Eva let her dude go he was a straight gold digger. I hope all goes well with Jr it’s only so much that a man can take give him a break.
I have to say I almost didn't finish this book. I swear from the time it began was like slow torture no offense, it was just very slow I was so uninterested but I knew I needed to wait a few chapters before giving up. I will say I don't like reading about teens but I know their teen story was for purpose I just want you to know that I genuinely loved everything about this story. It was very well out together thank you Ms. Diamond 😊 Happy reading
Lawd Rodney had a hard life nobody was his friend fr well only Coach that God for that man. Blow after blow ruined somebody life with a child that wasn’t even his cause who knew what he would’ve done if he wasn’t raising RJ. I’m kinda glad life ain’t really work for Troy but it never does when you do people how she did. What kinda friend is Deqavious like how you happy to see this man down like he did anything to you smh
I read urban books everyday and it's not often that you read about a average man not selling drugs and trying to be a positive role model for their kids. Diamond Johnson did a awesome job with this book and even without the drug dealer aspect it kept my attention and made me yearn for more. With that being said hurry up with part 2.
I just hope that Rodney jr is ok, I’m glad that Eva was able to get through to Rodney Sr, man he’s been dealt a bad hand.Coach has such a big heart he’s bringing me to tears. Marcus he’s just a user and too dang selfish. Tory her actions didn’t even surprise me but she forgot that her pass always had a way of catching up to you...
Poor thing he can't catch a break. I loved storyline. It was different. I see Rodney and Eva flourishing together in book 2. Troy and that bestfriend both gets on my nerves. They were only there for fame. Its just dad that RJ is caught up in they mess. This will break Rodney's heart too.
Diamond suga you never disappoint me. I like Rodney and I'm mad he had to go through so much but I feel even worse than the one person that means everything to him isn't really his. Troy is a deadbeat and I hope she get her KARMA, I feel like Eva and Rodney deserve to be happy together and have their own family.
