Rate this book
From bestselling author LaShawn Vasser comes the EXPLOSIVE follow-up to Magnetic Pulse!

Where was Austin McKenzie? Was he dead or alive?

Everyone wanted to know, and Bo Stratton was determined to find out. But what would it cost her?

Austin was last seen protecting the people he loved from a serious threat, but when that threat was gone . . . so was he.

Falling in love while the world suffered a cataclysmic attack the likes of an apocalypse wasn’t really the best timing, but for Austin and Bo, their passion could not be denied. Bo’s false sense of safety exploded in dramatic fashion—only to be overshadowed by the loss of Austin. As more threats appear, she’s not sure what’s more dangerous; her new reality or the appearance of Logan Miles.

The sexy Logan Miles was rugged, handsome, and had an irresistible charm. He also helped to save the lives of Bo’s family. For his reward, Logan wanted her . There was just one problem—Bo’s heart belonged to Austin McKenzie. But would it always ? Can Bo fight the magnetic attraction that seems to be building between them?

Find out that and more in Magnetic Attraction, Book 2 in the Hot Voltage Series.

Austin and Bo’s love story continues in this unconventional love story and true to form, the book is packed full of fantastically suspenseful episodes that will have you biting your nails to the quick! The book has a TV series feel about it, in particular one of my favourites, The Walking Dead. In that sense, it sort of lends itself more to a suspense thriller than an all out romance. Not that there’s anything wrong with that at all, because magnetic Pulse is a thoroughly enjoyable read. Ms Vassar does a fantastic job of weaving some romance all the way through the edge of the seat storyline.

However; all the way through, I was hankering after MORE interaction between Austin and BO but a large chunk of the first half is spent searching for Austin. Of course; in Austin’s absence, this gave the author the chance to introduce a little conflict for BO in the shape of the very HOT Logan. But in the end, BO didn’t disappoint me by flip-flopping. Through this, I had renewed confidence in BO’s unshaken love for Austin, of her integrity. As new as theirs is a very new love, the two together are very committed to what they are building. I just wish we’d seen a lot more of them together in this instalment.
I will sure be waiting with bated breath to see what happened in the last book. A thoroughly enjoyable follow up to a stunning first book.

Whhhhyyyyyyy!!!! Late summer! That's too long!!😢😢👏👏👏

Oh my fudging goodness! I have to wait until late summer for the final synopsis of this series! Cheese and crackers my fellow readers! I know most want a happy ending from the first book, but if a book is good at the cliffhangers, I'm absolutely down for a series! With that being said, this 3 part book series is well worth the read, the cliffhanger, the anticipation. I do not believe in detailing a book to a point that a reader doesn't have to purchase the book, but I will say be prepared for the rollercoaster ride of emotions. I ache for so many in this book, and want to snatch out a hoes throat in other parts of the book. Don't get me started on how much I love Austin and Bo!

Action, drama, suspense or seduction; whatever you’re looking for you’ll find it right here in Book 2 of the Hot Voltage Series. The story picked up right where book 1 ended. Austin is still missing. Tensions are high; everyone on the compound is on edge Bo is coming into her own but not yet dealing with her feelings and an old love has returned to her life. There was a traitor living amongst them and lives were lost. Like book 1, this story is gripping and addictive. I loved how the author was able to introduced new and fully developed characters and intertwined them into the story. This was an amazing read. I can’t wait for book 3.

I liked it. Enjoyed the action and the drama. Nahla is a great addition, as are all the other characters. It really does feel like you're watching a movie.

I also have to give the writer some props for how she handled the Logan situation. Full disclosure: I am not a fan of this particular trope in stories and was NOT going to read this book because of it. I find it lazy, trite, and I usually end up losing respect for all the characters involved. However, I changed my mind and gave this book a chance. I'm glad I did because I think the author did a good job with it. She did not go in the predictable direction, for which I am glad, so thank you for that.

I think she also did a good job showing that, as we grow and mature, so do our priorities in life. The things you wanted at 18, 19 are not the same things you want at 25, 26. That's a constant theme in life and I'm glad the writer explored that while keeping the integrity of the characters in tact ( I ended up loving them all and hating no one) I also think there's another good lesson in the story: shoot your shot when it's available because if you don't, someone else will. Tough lesson to learn, but we've all been there.

Bring on book 3!

Ugh, I hate Anna!!!

Living in post-apocalyptic America is hell on Earth and requires 100 from everyone to survive and not have to deal with selfish people who only look out for themselves. This story was full of action and toe-curling drama just like book #1. Reading of the storytelling of life going to death and loss and back to life was hard to read in some spots. But saying that, there is the bright spot of love between Bo and Austin. They are like a freight train bowling anyone over who gets in the way of their love.

Fantastic read

Could not put this book down. It's fast paced, actioned pack and has romance. If you love military men stories this is the book to escape into. Both part 1 and 2 books are fab very engrossing stories of brotherhood in arms bond in military life, Bryce, Austin, Logan and Maddox bond in life and outside of military service once they leave it. An apocalyptic end to their world has them using all their trained skills from service life to build an off the grid compound for their families to survive. Bo and Austin fall in love although No over protective brother does not like it, they have a spy on the midst of their group who is sending message of the security layout to the militia group. They have battles to fight outside and in.

Excellent story, can't wait for book 3. Why late summer, need it now!

I could not wait for the second book. LaShawn Vasser really did a good job in keep us in suspense...I was waiting for the shoe to drop when the past was revealed about Logan and Bo. But enough of that I got my Austin back, love me some Austin. With Austin's return it seems that this group can't catch a break from the bad things that happen around them...another member being added to the fold, another attack, to death and destruction, and final but certainly not least betrayal. I loved how LaShawn wove this story that when it ended I was looking at my tablet like I would a book turning it over and over again trying to see were the rest of the story was. I can't wait for the continuation in book 3.

Great Book

I love this story at first I was concern that with Austin missing Bo would find comfort during her grief with Logan I am glad that was not the case. I do feel bad for Logan it's clear to see he is in love with Bo (I guess next time he won't wait so long). Hopefully Naylah will help him with both his loss of Bo and Sid plus find love too. When will they figure out Anna is the traitor and beat the brakes off of her. Hopefully Maddox will find someone to love Lashawn don't let him be the last men standing without some hot him. All and all this series is awesome I highly recommended everybody read it . Lashawn please make the next book loner

Good read. This sequel does not disappoint. My heart was torn between Logan and Austin. We get the history of Logan and Bo's relationship. I was honestly torn. Love me some Austin but...who wouldn't love Logan?!!! This story has it all. Action, passion, suspense. Even though it ends in a cliffhanger, I didn't feel let down because it was well written. My major concern was addressed and the cliffhanger perfectly setup the next book without leaving Bo and Austin in limbo. Great series!
Full disclosure - I did receive an ARC but also purchased because I enjoyed the book. Highly recommend!

Part 2 of this series is great. There are secrets revealed, people lost to battle, persons found and new characters added. This is a page turner filled with intrigue and love. Bo and her new family are really in the midst of a power struggle. Gram Stratton is a force to be reckoned with and a couple of she devils are in their midst.
Love this page turner and the sexy men trying to keep order in a horrible situation..
Thanks for another great read...

It was okay.

This one didn’t excite me like the first book. It’s was really slow until the very end. But it’s turning into the walking dead. I’m glad to see that Austin make it through and Bo really stepped her game up. She wasn’t annoying like the first book. I need for Bo to take homegirl out that trifling heifer. I can’t wait to see what happens in book three.

Another page turner. I couldn't put this book down. I'm glad that Austin is back, his character dynamics adds so much to the story. Later this summer is too long to wait for book 3. I know it will continue the action and suspense of books 1&2
