Bikinis, margaritas, hot days, and sultry nights... Marie and Dan have always been close to their friends Claire and Brad. Their annual beach vacation together usually involves box wine, books, and board games. This year, things get interesting when Claire tries to set up her hunky coworker Chris with Marie's wild sister Lena by inviting them both to join the couples at the shore. When Claire confesses her own attraction to Chris, and Brad admits that it turns him on, Marie and Dan don't know what to think. And when Lena suggests a game of strip poker, no one can resist, and these two couples are primed to embark on an adventure that will change everything. An all-new 60k word story from best-selling author Ben Boswell
I am your typical family man with a wife and kids and an overactive imagination. I am longtime reader and author of erotic fiction.
I write in genres that I find exciting and arousing. Most of my stories are in the naughty wife, wife-watching genre, though occasionally I venture into other subject matter.

I’ve been looking at some books that I read some time ago, in this case almost 5 yrs, and wanted to reread the stories. My original review at 4 Stars is below.
On the reread, I’m bumping the rating to 5 stars for two reasons:
1. Dialogue. Ben is a master at witty dialogue and this book is no different. I chuckle every time I read one of his really terrific conversations.
2. I guess when I first read this book, I was looking for clear answers and motivations. But life isn’t like that. On my reread, I find this book to be a more sensitive telling of a story. And characters don’t necessarily know what they want or don’t want in the first instance. Narrator Dan is hit with new information and unexpected reactions. As the holiday progresses, more details come to light. Implications for Dan and wife Marie are unclear and author Boswell skillfully navigates the situations. For this reason alone, this story deserves a top rating.
Definitely 5 Stars. I look forward to rereading this book in another 5 yrs.
REVIEW OF JUNE 8, 2018
WOW! Another great book by Ben Boswell!
Ben is one of my favourite authors. His stories are always interesting and the twists and turns a constant surprise. Among the authors Ben writes with, his novels have a little more bite to them. I enjoy the variety.
While really good, this isn't my fovourite book by him. I prefer good character development in these novels. I especially like a growing and strengthening relationship between the main couple. This book was more about the sex than the relationship.
While the narrator (the husband) did evolve in his thinking, we never really knew what the wife was thinking. She mostly deflected with a question to his questions. When she did provide answers, there wasn't much conviction behind them.
At the end, I'm not entirely certain what the future is for our main couple (Marie and Dan). In Ben's other books, such as Annual Leave, The Crush and the Terri Trilogy, you had a pretty good idea about how the relationship would grow in the future. You also had a buildup to the first fling. This book jumped right into it in a pretty spectacular way. It was really fun, it just didn't reveal the thoughts and emotions that Ben is so good at highlighting.
As Ben describes this book in the intro, it's pretty frothy. I'm looking forward to his next and perhaps, as he describes it, more serious offering. Keep writing Ben!
Two married couples and two singles go to the beach for a shared vacation. Dan, married to Marie, narrates the story.
The single guy turns out to be Marie’s ex and all the women get busy flirting with him.(of course he has the obligatory larger appendage) This is in essence a wife sharing story where everyone enjoys each other. But Boswell being Boswell it starts off with Marie cheating with her ex. Again, Ben being Ben, she professes love for Dan but flaunts the ex in his face throughout their shared experiences.
The characters are interesting and likable. The sex scenes are hot and plentiful with a bit of a twist at the end. It’s a good story and Ben’s writing is flawless as usual. I guess the only reason I didn’t give five stars is Marie’s cheating and attitude.
I didn't like this book in the very first few chapters. Some of it kept me reading though, not just the fact that Ben Boswell doesn't hit many foul balls. As of late Ben doesn't step to the plate as often but he seems to hit strong. I was blown away. Half way through the book and I was certain, 5 stars. But there was more story, more to read and to enjoy. This is one of my favorites now! Since "Whatever it takes" (still being my VERY favorite) I have been looking for another home run by Ben and I think this qualifies! If nothing else as an infield run. This couple goes through so much in such a short time that I almost wanted to cut half a star. But then I got to the end and boom. I guess that then this might fall more to my prefferences than any tangible evidence but I wanted to give this book 6 stars!
Follow Ben and you will, from time to time, be blown away with wondrous and erotic fantasy!
In Summer Swing: Hotwives at the Beach, Been Boswell has written one of the hottest stories in the Swapping, Swinging, Hotwife genre, that I have ever read. Every emotion associated with the lifestyle is present and accounted for in this story. From angst to anger and doubt to delight, they're all here. Some of the best written sex scenes are in these pages. I had trouble putting it down. All in all, one of the best books I've read this summer...and for several seasons back for that matter!
I usually refrain from commenting on other authors' work because I am trying to write (and still learning), but I have to say something about this book. I loved it! The intro to the book says 'Bikinis, margaritas, hot days, and sultry nights' and it delivers that and much more. The dialogues are fantastic, really well written. When I read a story, I want to be taken on a journey and I was certainly taken on an exciting journey with this book. I definitely recommend it!
A hot swinging story…. long time friends head to the beach for a vacation ahead of starting families. Once a younger sister and an ex-lover join them, all bets are off. Lots and lots of sex, swapping and a bit of cuckolding ensues changing the family dynamic forever. Well written, excellent dialog. Enjoy.
wont spoil the story but if your into swinging stories with a touch of cuckolding and hotwifing then this is a good read!...more sex than story substance for a BB book. but I chopped a star for one thing although it does come up in the very last few pages....the main couple and their friends who they are going away with are both heavily into trying to get pregnant!..serious baby making is their priority!....until they go away on hols.then it doesn't seem to matter..and this is a gaping omission from the story. you get to thinking "well, she has just**** him and he isn't her husband etc etc....good read but just not BB at his best
Probably rates all five stars but there was something not quite right about this story. I don't mean to imply it wasn't hot because it was! Very Hot! It is more in the fact BB never lets you in on what is really taking place behind the story. Not really knowing is definitely the hottest most exciting part but damn the long term consequences are troublesome to me! Two hot teasing couples on a vacation at the beach is more than enough for a hot story; but then throw in two single hot people and it raises the heat lever to sizzling! What can happen? Use your imagination, it's a BB story, let your imagination run hot and wild! Did I mention the two couples are already working to make babies? Better buckle up tight this is going to be rough exciting extremely mysterious ride !
A superbly written tale with all sorts of erotic twists and turns. The writer gently pushes you along the path of compassion, support and understanding of Dan as opposed to Marie, his wife and the others.
The conclusion leaves me somewhat frustrated and wishing for a bonus chapter to close with a bit more justice for and elevation of Dan as the clear winner and top dog. of this motley crew.
No sure what I felt about the story, it was Mr Boswell type of story. For me to give it a proper review, I would give to much of the story. If you enjoy Mr Boswell stories then you will love this one. If you don’t enjoy his stories don’t read it. Me I am just not sure, I will read other of his books
Dan and Marie are trying for a baby and so far no luck. So what better time to have a swinging weekend that includes Marie's former lover, C.J? Yes, you can see where this story is going right away. Poor Dan.
