Jacks Are Wild

Rate this book
Hello. This is the part when I usually share a few lines from the book. I am doing things a little differently this time. The novel behind this letter was formerly known as Fangirl. Jacks Are Wild is an erotic paranormal short story that blossomed into this menagerie of sex, sadism, and lust. I am in no way attempting to pass this off as a romance novel. It is the dark journey into the mind of a nymphomaniac as she explores her sexual fantasies while pining for the affections of the elusive Jack J. Roberts. This novel is not for readers with triggers, or those searching for a fun read. This book contains every trigger on the spectrum and then some. This is erotica in its truest form. It is meant to be read for entertainment purposes only. The situations are shocking and the heat burns up the pages. You might find yourself feeling guilty for reading it, but unable to put it down. There will be some, who have to put it down because it’s too much. This is a work of Untamed fiction. No humans were harmed during the writing of this novel. These are not real people folks. Happy reading.

So wild so worth it

This book had my feelings and emotions all over the place. This story telling at it’s finest. When an author has you inhaling every single word.

It’s the kind of griping tale you have come to expect from Janjan Untamed and yet it’s so much more that. It pushes boundaries and is unashamedly raw. It still manages to depict a
tenderness that you would never expect to be associated with either Jack or Halima. They are unconventional, with actions they only apologize to each other for. Which is exactly how they like it because they only answer to each other. They are broken and a mess, but what they have between them is so strong you can’t help but want them to find their version of happiness.

Plus old friends returns. The journey is worth it for that alone.

Well... when a book starts out like that you know it's goin' be lit!!

Ooooooweeee this one right here was a dirty, dirty, read. If you want something kinky, freaky, and skanky? This is it right here and a bag of chips. Ms JanJan! Lawd gurrrrlll I blushed through this whole book. This one nasty book...the good nasty, the nasty you don't tell your momma about.

Once again Ms. JanJan pulled me waaaaay the hell out of my comfort zone and I ended up enjoying every bit of it. This is not for everybody hell at times I was like "hold up wait I'm not ready for that." I so needed to repent after this lol!

This is an unapologetic read at your own risk type. They are either Fu#$ing or fighting in this story you get serious whiplash with the arguing and the sexing. I literally feel like I've gone through the battle of the sexes. But it was soo good though

Heres my couple Jack and Halima and some fun qoutes

"I was barely awake and already in the middle of what would be a kinky ass morning" -Halima
"We hugged so long that I got tingle crotch again."-Halima
"I let you throw your fu#$ing tantrums because I'm a piece of shit, and you earned the right to act crazy" -Jack
"Goddamn. My ovaries released and egg. I wrapped my hands around his arm and hung on like King Kong and Jane."-Halima

THE ABSOLUTE BEST BOOK SO FAR 2018.

I choose to give this book a 5* because it had everything that I love. Jack is the ultimate Alpha i love him because he never back down, nor did he loose a once of his Alpha ways. I had to fight with a lot. Especially some of the sex scenes I'm not a fan of MMf, but I love it in this book😍😍😍. Poor Halima I never judge her I only felt bad for her and wanted her to be happy. Van had it too easy I wish Jack did more. Darby is a sweet heart. I hated how everyone judged Halima when they had family's and sisters that did the something. I hope a part 2 is told for Jack brother I feel the closer for Jack &Halima. I will stop here i don't want to give too much away or slip up. If I can't say more it's always because it's too good. JanJan is the absolutely the best!!!😙😙😙 this is my 2nd book and I am very please.

Book was so long that it was dull

The author followed the boring cycle 50 million times, the female main chacter is broken due to trauma and is consented starting fights with the male lead every time he goes to do work or leave her from some reason. The 1st 5 times was great and new after that it was repetitive. I also don't really like when all the male chacters strongly like or love the main character. I can understand 1 or 2 but it was like ever man she came in contact with. It was over the top. The sex was cool up until you noticed they had sex every other page or she was horndoging. Like can she be anymore than just sex. When the male chachter said she would make a good mom, I got to thinking "what chacter traits in this whole book screams she would be a good mother". The chacter needed therapy along with the person she choose.

The book should have dropped out half the sex and focused on developing the chacters outside of just sex and screaming and fighting matches between the two main chacters. The book has potential but was so over the top trying to hard.

Pass and save yourself the time, you will thank me later!

*Sighhhh*

TikTok recommended this book. I love reading books with black female leads but this was not it at all. I had to dnf it 20% of the way through. It’s just so ugh. The flow is choppy and how it’s written is very confusing. The characters are also very freaking confusing. Literally nothing makes sense

Edit: I skimmed through the rest of the book and it’s just as expected. Like where is the character development and why is the same cycle repeated a million times. I would pass on this one

Wow

I can't describe my feelings for this book. It's definitely worth five stars. This book is not for the faint-hearted. JanJan Untamed writes epic tales with crazy males. And this time around, a crazy female. This story is dark, it will drive you mad, but make you smile. You will be so invested in this book. Epic read.

I am speechless!

JanJan is an amazing writer. This author has creativity out of the box. She thinks and writes so far out of the normal. If I can give this 10 stars I would. She was right. This is not your ordinary erotic paranormal story. It was wild!!

JanJan wrote a story about a couple that were so abnormal. Halima Skye was messed up from a young age and had to do what was necessary to survive. That necessity fed her nymphomania. The moment she bumped into Jack, she was obsessed with him and wanted to be his everything. Little did she know Jack Robertson was no ordinary man.

Jack or Jaggo, as his family called him was a vile , profane, arrogant and controlling vampire who was the head of his own tribe. He wanted Halima from the moment she bumped into him and lifted his wallet. He was so entranced by her scent that he admitted that he probably would have kidnapped her even if she had not stolen from him. He hated the lost of control when she was around and treated her like crap because of that. His life was already planned and she managed to derail his entire plans. Their love was hot, intense and thoroughly erotic. Halima had problems adjusting to the vampire tribe way of life after she and Jack were committed to each other. She was insanely jealous and drove Jack crazy. She brought out the humanity in him and made him a better mate. He wanted to keep her in his life regardless to what was forbidden.

This story was wild and crazy that had a flip in the plot I was not expecting. There maybe room for another book by the way it ended. If you like books that shock and blow your mind, this is the book for you. My eyeballs are still burning from the stuff I read here!

Love this book

This book was dark and scary at times but I loved it. Jack and Halima went through so very much to be together it was touch and go there for a long time but they figured it out in the end. I felt so sorry for Halima she went through so very much through out this book from the very beginning she waa going through mess. Her stepfather raping her her meeting this strange man later on and then to find out that he is a vampire. This book was so very dark and grimy that I loved it I love books like this and hated when it ended but I was so glad that Halima and Jack got their happy ending they struggled so long to get to that ending and finally they had what they both were looking for love and family.

Hard to describe, it's everything the author says it is and then some. The only thing I had a real problem with, which might be due to my imagination skills and not the writing, was the language.

A lot of swearing, swearing that I found hard to match with Jack's character regarding his age, however, it suited him fine at present. Both hero and heroine acted immaturely at times and had this "tit for tat" thing going on.

Author left opening for a continue........

Pure entertainment from start to finish. Jack and Halima’s love was a beautiful disaster that I couldn’t stop reading. Intense drama, heart pounding action, and vivid and explosive sex scenes that will have you panting for more. The unique outside the box thinking and writing gives this story a stylish and edgy and gritty feel that you will appreciate.

Hedonism Island

This is my first book by Jan Jan Untamed and I loved it and I don’t usually read paranormal novels! It was long but once I started I couldn’t put it down. Enter into a communal world of sadism and hedonistic debauchery!
Jack J. Roberts is off the chain; a blend of heaven and hell with an insatiable appetite for all things carnal! Halima Skye is a victim of life and all it’s hard knocks! Down on her luck, she literally bumps into Jack J. Roberts, the most beautiful man she’s ever seen and is instantly head over heels in love! She never could imagine that picking his pocket would lead her to a tribal community of the most gorgeous licentious and lascivious men and women. Their journey is one of sex, murder, secrets, lies and deception
I must say Halima got on my last nerve with her childish and emulous behavior!

Jack takes you on a Wild ride

This story takes you on one hell of a ride. You are up and down emotionally, but in the best way. I don’t want give the story away. There are so many plot twists it’s perfect! It has an HEA. I was nervous so many horrible things happened to Halima I thought it wouldn’t end well for her. Jack was a motherfu*cker! But a sexy beautiful one. He loved the word Bit*h and I longed to hear him say it. No one could say it like Jack. This book was so good I could read it again and again. I love Spectacular stories and this one is now one of my favorites. JanJan didn’t hold back at all, she made the story feel very real. Thank you JanJan Untamed for this beautiful book.

Wow :)

whoa this story took me for a ride. First I will say the Antonovs from "the view from above "made an appearance from. which is a good read as well btw makes me wanna know more about them given what was learned in this book. Halima and Jack are like water and oil but they love each other very hard. The ending made we say wtf because I wanted to read more, but I don't think it's a cliffhanger. couldn't stop reading read it in two days

I’m rereading Janjan’s work including reading her new stuff on kindle vella, and after analyzing all of her work I’d like to give new readers a heads up on a few things. Start with this story because it’ll give you an idea of if you even want to move forward or not AND it introduces you to her world because the stories after this have characters that are interconnected from this one.

Now on to the women she writes. They are MASSIVE pick me’s. They’re not girls’ girls AT ALL. They have terrible self esteem and tragic backgrounds (sexual assault, abuse, etc). They are always quick to forgive the terrible things that are done to them and are very unhinged.

The men she writes are gorgeous and dangerous. But she doesn’t make them grovel enough for me though. They don’t stay in the dog house long enough because the heroines are weak and always forgive so quickly. Don’t get me wrong, her writing is VERY addicting. But after revisiting her work it’s some stuff I just can’t get with. I can’t relate to these pitiful women all I want is their HEA. It’s so rocky getting there you almost want to give up but it’s such a train wreck that you can’t look away if you tried.

I lowered my rating of this one. It was high at one point bc it was one of the first books that introduced me to the dark romance genre. And now that I know what I want to see in books like this, this one is just not for me. I reread it and kind of hated Halima. She’s kind of a terrible person. Which makes her and Jack a match made in heaven…or hell.

He doesn’t wear shiny armor. She doesn’t bring anything to the table but her uniqueness that calls to him. Jack doesn’t rescue the fair maiden that is her either. No, Jack is the catastrophic storm that causes the damage in the first place. He conquers. Destroys perceptions and dares everyone who doesn’t like it, to try and call him on his mess. Halima is that achilis heal that gives Jack a run for his money. He’s a killer. She’s a woman freed of sexual restraint. He’s selfish with his emotions and she’s that something he was never told he should run from. Their coming together is life changing. It’s messy and it’s crazy. Their brand of love is created just for the two of them and when feelings get added to the mix, there’s no turning back. No running away from it and definitely no turning it off. Jacks are Wild, is crazy as hell, but worth every minute of your time. If you’re searching for a read that is out of left field, or one that has no roadmap to the journey, then this is most certainly the book for you. The characters all played their parts well. Some old and new faces emerge, but the coupling of Jack and Halima, is absolutely magnificent!

I have read all of Ms. JanJan's works and I have noticed a central theme...black woman is seriously flawed in some manner...gets involved with a white male...gets treated like epic trash by the white male, who in every single book had white female lovers who were not treated as badly as the black female protagonist, but she continues to beg/submit/grovel for the white male sexually, mentally and emotionally etc..., until he has an epiphany and realizes he should love her too. ALL of the black heroines in her books are portrayed as mentally disturbed and living on the fringes of reality when it came to their white male lover. Please note, I am not against interracial relationships; I've dated white men myself. But this author, always manages to make black women seem incredibly amoral, weak-minded, dick-crazy, insecure and stupid in her works. I know I will not purchase anymore of her books, because I always finish her works with a bad taste in my heart and a heavy feeling that she is tearing down/trolling the very essence of black women through her creative license.

I’m not gonna lie some parts were hard to get thru!

This is a very erotic story. It is a love story but not in the traditional sense. There are a number of thing loved about this story. I love that Halima is black! And the depiction of her beauty is magical! She has heart and has a backbone as well. Halima also understands her weaknesses. She doesn’t lie to herself about morality or that she deserves better and as much as u want to shake her and tell her to leave that jerk she knows she won’t. It’s her truth and she’s honest with herself before anyone else. It was hard to sit thru at times bcos of how much of a douche bag jack was. That plot twist at end had me gasping! Bloody Tavan! If u like erotic dark other men and women drama!'then this is the book for you!

The Gravitron Ride of Emotions

No matter how I tried to put this book down with the whirlwind of highs and lows, the force and weight of the story wouldn’t let me. Literally stuck on the Gravitron carnival ride and loving every moment.
Jack is such an a*hole and Halima is, in part, every single person who has fallen for the dark, mysterious, degrading type with emotions locked away so deeply we become determined (and sometimes desperate) to make them feel again. Oh my gosh I wanted to kick Jack’s a** more than a few times. And there was one plot twist I saw all the signs for but still did not see all that coming with it. I’d love to know more about Eldridge though (hehe 😏). 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 JUST READ IT ALREADY lol

Jacks ARE Wild

The more I read from this author the more intrigued I am with her wonderful work. If you are faint of heart, a prude, got emotional triggers and PTSD type issues while reading...This is not the tale for you my friend. JanJan Untamed goes there and it's not normally pretty. Jack and Halima are not a typical storybook romance. He is not always kind to her she does not just swoon and bow down to him. Like most of us THEY got issues. Halima's had a hard life and Jack is a hardcore mofo. The two together are fireworks and bomb blasts. Whoa what a story and what a ride as there connection deepens.

Hearts know what they know

As always I will need several bottles of wine after this. This was by far the most twisted of all the author's books I read. Very wicked and disturbing! But I loved it. Enjoyable until the very end. Definitely no romance not the way we are taught as humans. I'm more curious about the Antonov's with each story they are in. Looking forward to future books.

Pick me.Choose me.Love me. That is the theme for janjan untamed books so far and I will not be moving foward in reading any more (I also read "The View from the Bottom). The guys are always dirtbags who are rich, white, kind of racist and super cheaters who do not have any intentions on NOT hurting the main female character/love interest until the very end of each book where they realize they cannot keep causing pain. That does not excuse the Halima, in this case, from her own transgressions. Yet another rendition of a side chick book, this book could have been minimized from the never ending chapters you have to endure.

It is very difficult to see black women go through so much hell from a man and still forgive them at EVERY SINGLE turn for any pain they cause. This author seems to enjoy putting the women through hell while the men do whatever they want to do and never receive any consequences for their abhorrent actions. Just as the other book, I kept screaming in my head, "GIRL, STAND UP!!!" How much did Halima need to go through for Jack to show her he was infatuated with her and not in love with her?

I will say that the author was very good at keeping your attention on the drama that kept unfolding, so I will give her that! Did we need thousands of pages to get the message? No, but it does keep the reader's attention once you are able to skip over the filler crap that reads like someone's diary or journal. Because of the tropes in her books so far and from the comments I have read, I don't think these books are my cup of tea.

***Spoilers***
I know this is fiction, but if Halima would have just left with Eldred, she would have never gone through the complete hell Jack put her through. Jack could have been the one that killed her mom and she would have forgiven him so fast. I realize she was too young to know she needed therapy and a relationship was the last thing she needed to be in before working on herself, but this was painful to get through. And even though she was liberated sexually and there is nothing wrong with that, sleeping with Kane and Tavan as soon as she got to the island? Girl, you don't even know where you are and you got your a#$ in the air already? Then you let Jack hit and THEN Eldred??? No sex shaming but dang girl slow down lol. Then the fact that Halima couldn't keep it in her pants like an animal every time she saw a nice-looking guy? Please be for real.

The way that I would have left with Eldred and never came back LOL.....Halima got called a b*tch 5711 times on the first day she was on the island and just stayed. Jack even called her one while she was giving birth in the end - what the? Jack lied so many times I started to question whether his real name was really Jack. He called sleeping with random women accidents and said they didn't mean anything. Literally after a few attempts were made on Halima's life, Jack had Athena slinking and hiding in the boat while he was kissing on Halima before telling her she ain't coming, only to leave her with Eldred so that he can have Athena to himself for weeks. WEEKS. He did this because he assumed Halima would sleep with Eldred which would in turn excuse him for sleeping with Athena, something he had already decided he was going to do before leaving Halima with Eldred. What did Halima do? TOOK HIM BACK. AGAIN. PICK. ME.

Halima and Jack try so hard to change each other and just end up ruining each other's lives and yet they still thing what they have is love.

Also I find that the 2 janjan untamed books I read lean heavily into white male fetishization and a bit of colorism and texturism in an ignorant way. The white males are rich, arrogant a-holes that appear to never care for or respect women, especially black women and the black women are painted as having unwanted dark skin and hair textures, (which are both extremely beautiful features to me) and LOADS of past/present pain and suffering and heavy trauma. It's very off-putting to read white people using the hard "r" so openly in her books with no ramifications. The black female leads never stand up for themselves consistently and it's frustrating to read through. The SUPER pick-me element in the books are so revolting and Halima never really ends up loving herself in the end. All of this gives me the impression that this is what the author inwardly feels personally and expresses that her writing. It's definitely giving PICK ME.

The darkly erotic scene where Halima is tied up is disgusting. She "loves" this man so much that she let's him dang-near kill her with a WHIP. He gives her an ice-cold bath - just dumps her in because she's so damaged from this little event, then whisks her off to be married without telling her in a weird ritual that isn't explained by the author at all. Jack has the nerve to feel bad after Halima let him go so far in the bdsm and of course Halima is reassurring him she is alright when she is certainly not. PICK ME.

Wow! Wow! Wow!!

This story had me speechless. JanJan Untamed really blew me away with this story! This story was wild, fun, shocking, and left me wanting more! This has to be one of the most incredibly insane books I’ve ever read! I was questioning my morals and life while reading this book. It was sexy, erotic and incredibly taboo. Some scenes had my eyes about to pop out of the sockets! Jack and Halima were something else. Their relationship dynamic was unheard of. Jack was cocky, crude, powerful, and oh so unapologetically disrespectful! Halima was a total nymphomaniac to put it lightly. She was very likeable and sweet but the girl had some serious urges! If you are easily triggered or offended then this is NOT the story for you! This book is not for the faint of heart. I was clutching my invisible pearls throughout the whole book! I highly recommend this story to whoever is brave enough to read such a taboo story. Great storyline! Amazing character development! JanJan Untamed has one heck of an imagination! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
