Karina and Devyn are on the run, in hiding up in a mountain cabin but it doesn't take long before enemies find them again. There's not even time for Karina to work through her homesickness and guilt before dragons and Silvermyst are attacking. Not everyone wants to kill Karina this time out; some have other plans for her. It's always about power though. Karina is never alone. Her shaman and his Wrath and Fury are always by her side and this time she makes a tiny friend, a pixie, Belle. Belle sees the future and it's not always promising but maybe, by working together Karina can gain her fourth tail and be one step closer to defending the crown and saving her mother.

Time Shift is another exciting installment in the Nine Tails Series. Karina and Devyn have unbelievable chemistry. I love their moments together. Each time Devyn gives in I fall for him right along with Karina. Karina continues to be tested in so many ways and continues to prove her worth. Her newest power is interesting, to say the least. She will be incredibly powerful when fully tailed. The addition of the irritating and adorable Belle is appreciated. Her bickering and annoying ways with Devyn add a level of lightness while she makes a good pixie-pal for Karina. I like this trio. I look forward to the next step of their journey.

I LOVE seeing how Karina aka "Kitten" gains each tail turning her into the kitsune she's meant to become. Along with each tail she also seems to gain more insight and information into what is going on in the other realm (Second Moon). I for one am holding out hope she can save her mother as this illness is tied to the dying of her mother's birthplace. This is DEFINITELY a series one needs to read from the beginning. Otherwise you'd be lost as to all the subtext what is going on. I'm still. curious about Devyn as there seems to be something he's not saying in regards to rules about their relationship. He's overprotective and jealous, yet keeps her at a certain distance...something is going on. I'm a huge fan of the introduction of Belle the fairy in this book. Here's hoping she's a true friend and not out to stab K in the back. Talk about lots of court intrigue and politics...and it's all from a world that Karina hasn't even stepped foot on yet. I'm also curious if maybe her next door neighbor/male BFF may have a role in all this. I guess we shall have to wait and see. I'm looking forward to the next book and how she gains her next tail....not to mention what exciting power comes along with the tail. I can't wait to see what happens next in this excitng, suspense filled series!!

It took me ages to finish it cause Karina is really getting on my nerves.

There’s a world and millions of people (beings?) depending on you. What do you do? You train. Hard. That’s NOT what’s happening here.

Every single time she’s in danger she looks for her supernatural bodyguard to save her, and ok, I could deal with it in the first books considering that they have only 200 pages and everything happens too fast. But come on!

You’re basically the most powerful being in this supernatural world. Learn how to control your abilities. Or at least TRY to. Gosh.

Anyway, I was almost giving up, but I forced myself to finish it. She does finally save the day. But I wouldn’t get my hopes up. She’s betting on her crush to protect her, even though she’s virtually more powerful than he is in basically every aspect. Or maybe not. Not emotionally at least.

Anyway, and then there’s the issue of the world the author is building here. We have tiny bits of information. It’s truly frustrating. Final thoughts: I would read the next one just to see if the change at the end actually meant something, but I’m not over excited or anything. Definitely would NOT pay for the next book.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Karina and Devyn have left Seaside Heights to keep her friends and family safe as the different creatures from Second Moon are just going to keep coming to k*ll her and take her Soul and it was the only way they could think of to keep everyone safe. They’ve flown all the way to Zürich, Switzerland to Devyn’s kind of friend and Dragon Shifter Reily’s house in the Alps and hopefully the assassins won’t find them for awhile but they’re sh*t out of luck as they’re danger magnets. I liked meeting Karina’s new Pixie friend Belle and I totally loved how much pleasure she got in annoying the sh*t out of Devyn but really he did kind of deserve it as he caged her in a cookie jar as Pixie’s can see the future and maybe she has some information that will be useful on how Karina can obtain more tails. Devyn was a lot more serious in this book which is completely understandable as Karina is in more danger than ever but he seems to get more bada*se the more danger Karina is in. I love that Karina is gaining more strength per tail she’s gifted with and I can’t wait to see how strong she is once she’s obtained all nine tails. I’m really looking forward to seeing what trouble Karina, Devyn and Belle get up too next. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review***
This book picks up right where the last one ended. I am obsessed with this series. I really want to see Karina and Devyn have their happily ever after, but this series makes me question if that will ever be possible. At points I am left guessing and then other times seem clear cut. But not is all that it seems.
This world J.L Weil has created keeps me on my toes. It seems like every book, there are new characters and breeds to introduce. I love Bell aka Tink. I still want to call her Tink. Even though Devyn has known to not trust pixies as they can be deceiving, Karina puts her trust into Bell and seems to really like her. Time will only tell if Bell is truly there for the correct intentions.
If you have not read this series yet, I highly recommend you start reading it now! Looking forward to the next book in the Nine Tails Series!

I really enjoyed this book! I just always wish they were so much longer

I love watching Karina grow so much more in each book, we see her learning more about herself and more about what she can actually do, I love learning about each tail and what it can actually do in each book.
Happy to learn a little bit more about the world as well, I just wish we had gotten more of this. I do like learning everything with Karina but it seems that there are a few holes that I really think would help the story if fulled and why this isn't a 5 star for me.

Loving Devyn more and more as well though, I can't wait to see if we ever get to met his family and I think Karina needs to learn more about him

There was a great addition with Belle and I love how she just instantly connects with Karina.
Overall an enjoyable read as always, can't wait to see whats next.

After reading Flame Shift today, I HAD to read Time shift. Just released yesterday, I was without a doubt, looking forward to this book. Author J.L. Weil has such an incredibly creative mind,  and I could not put this book down.  I was so proud of Karina for uprooting her life to save her family and friends,  no matter what it costs her personally. I love watching her develop as a character,  remembering we met her in high school... she is having to deal with a lot of changes FAST. She is turning into a bada$$.

I enjoyed meeting new characters in this book.  I'm excited to see what transpiresruth Reilley and I enjoy clumsy Belle. She adds a sense of lightness when it doesn't seem like the is any.

I am so excited and anxiously await the next novella in this series.

Just keeps the suspense going......

Karina and Dyvan are on the run. She left family and friends to keep them safe, but who will keep her in check. They leave the country, hoping to get ahead of the fae trying to kill her. It's obviously not far enough, as the dreaded assassin's find her. But she makes a small friend. It's a pixie named Belle.

Belle can see the future and after being held captive by Dyvan, has decided to help them. Karina is kidnapped and has to be saved.

This book covers several areas.....time travel, death, New friends and love. See if you can keep up. I love it.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book provided by the author.
Oh my gosh, this series is fantastic, I think each book in the series just gets better & better! This is definitely a series that needs to be read in order so a reader won’t be lost. The flow was great, kept me glued to the book until I finished. The plot is full of twists & Karina & Devyn have such chemistry! I love that this is such an original story, nothing like anything else I’ve read before. Highly recommend this series!

I like how time shift focused on Karina and Devyn more since they have left Karina’s home town behind in order to protect her family. I did suspect what might happen in order for her to gain her next tail but I did not expect the other characters that came to play. Would have liked to see some more “ahem” tension between Karina and Devyn 😉😉. Still really enjoyed it and eagerly awaiting the next instalment. Will be so excited when I can read through the whole series so I don’t have to stop! Would like to see more badassness from Karina

This series was a little lacking to me. I really enjoy the characters and the premise; however, all 4 books I’ve read seem a bit dull. They dont move as fast as I would like. It’s the typical, girl doesn’t know she’s special with powers, boy brakes the news, boy protects girl, girl falls in love with boy, boy and girl try and save the world. I want to love this series, and maybe it will get better with the next books (I do plan on finishing the series), but for now there are other J.L. Weil books I would rather read.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was short enough to finish in only a few sessions, but is still packed with adventure, danger and light humor and whimsicality to earn it's place in the Nine Tails series. Karina and Devyn face new challenges in this book...meet new creatures, explore new worlds...and definitely leaves you guessing about the outcome along the way. I'd recommend this book to readers that enjoy YA fantasy with a touch of humor and romance.

The attack on Jesse has forced Karina and Devyn to leave town faster than they’d planned. Without even a goodbye, they grab their stuff and fly to Switzerland to stay at a remote cabin owned by a friend of Devyn’s.

I love Belle. Perfect addition to the team.

Footnote: 1) Since when do phones work while airplanes are flying?

Fave scenes: the light in the forest, meeting Irim, the cookie jar and sending Belle for Devyn.

The story keeps getting better

Devyn and Katrina get into more trouble. I mean seriously they are magnets for danger. I loved this story, the new characters that are introduced are awesome and fun and an old "friend" makes an appearance It's a great quick read and series that sucks you in from the first page.

I love this series, Time Shift is another great story and I love the little pixie! Karina is handling herself well in spite of having to drop everything and move away, for the safety of her friends and family. Of course it doesn't hurt that she has Devyn by her side and is meeting new friends....or are they foes? I can't wait to find out!

This book ended too quickly! J.L. Weils brings you into a new world with her writing and I wanted to stay longer! The continuation of this series is fun and light hearted. Belle is a riot, and I can picture her vividly, I hope she stays for a few more books/tails. Eagerly waiting the next book in this series.

Fun read

The nine tails series is a fun read. I truly enjoyed this unconventional story line. The story of the kitsune isn't one that's been done to death. JL Weil keeps you engaged throughout every page .

Easy to love

Loved this book. It’s short but with the perfect amount of action and love. Karina gets her fourth tail and it’s a bad ass power. An of course involves her shaman who I’ve come to love. His adoring protectiveness is so easy to fall in love with!

Karina and Devyn are on the run. Not ideal, but safer for her loved ones. When a Dragon tries to kill Devyn, Karina stops time to save him.

Another in one of the best series by Weil. This book has fae, dragons, and more bickering than any book before.
New friends are made and danger prevails.
If you have read any of the others in the series I am sure you are excited to read this one too. If you have yet to start the series know that it is worth it. Just as any Weil book is.
