“Morgan Rice's imagination is limitless. In another series that promises to be as entertaining as the previous ones, A THRONE OF SISTERS presents us with the tale of two sisters (Sophia and Kate), orphans, fighting to survive in a cruel and demanding world of an orphanage. An instant success. I can hardly wait to put my hands on the second and third books!” --Books and Movie Reviews (Roberto Mattos)

It was decent but it's getting difficult to read through. Most of these scenarios wouldn't even make sense in a YA type book as this one. For example, killing people and conquering a country simply because your boyfriend (whom you knew for less than a week) got abducted and you're pregnant makes no sense in real life.
This series has me so invested and intrigued. Sophia is off to battle with her brother Lucas to find her love Sebastian. Kate is feeling better and is not far behind her sister. D’Angelica gets her way and gets two people out of her way. Sebastian is freed. Sophia, Kate and Lucas touch the object that may or may not find their parents. Does it work or not….
This is book six, so we all know the story by now. Sebastien finally grew a backbone, yay. This was actually a sad book though... The story got dark pretty quickly?
Now for my ranting: I have to agree with one of the below posters on the teenage pregnancy issue, although for the love of me I keep forgetting that these characters are teens. I feel like years have gone by in the world since the series started, when the entire saga takes place over maybe a year, total. At this point in the storyline it had only been a few months.
I wasn't thrilled with Sophia's original decisions or the events of the first two books, but felt invested at the end of book 3. Thankfully the editing started getting better as the series went, and the story moved more smoothly in one direction, so that I was more motivated to keep going. The last two books were ... I hate to admit, fairly decent. I think 4 and 7 were the best edited ones.
The biggest letdown for me in this particular book was that the showdown is not going to be between Siobhan and the Master of Crows. He makes a frightening villian in his own right but I thought they were setting those two up to duel it out.
In summary: with YA, the biggest question I always ask myself is whether or not I would let my kid read something. I really struggle with these books for the terrible lack of editing, poor choices by Sophia, and generally mundane/typical/formulaic storyline. I never felt like Morgan Rice took any pride in this series, so why should I read it? I don't know, her lousy cliffhangers? Would I buy it for a teenager? Probably not, although the books got better as they went and I would allow it if we had a talk about my issues with it first.
I don't regret reading the entire series but there are much better ones out there.
Exciting page turner to the popular series. I enjoyed all of it and just have one nagging problem that has followed me from the beginning of the series. And that is the question of pregnancy at the age of seventeen. While, I realize that this is an alternate universe and I myself was a teenager mom, that makes me realize just how real a influence a book has on young lives. Please, consider making your characters older or even if the pregnancy was relative to the story which so far I really can't justify completely. Sophie and Sabation's love could have been just as strong without a pregnancy. I'm sorry if that sounds like a tirade but I do think it is time to think about the affect of what you as authors write and how it affects your readers morals. Otherwise the book is well written and worth the read.

While I am very much enjoying the series as a whole, I found several aspects of this book either unnecessary or overdone. Also, the timeline does not make sense. Who goes from being an orphan who had to impersonate royalty (and end up pregnant after spending a week or so in the palace) to finding out you are arguably the most powerful person in the country to invading and conquering the city you grew up in then acceding the thrown along side a man who cast you aside because of your status, much less does it all in what seems to be about a year?
An enjoyable installment of the series involving battles, secrets, betrayal, love and magic.
It was great to see familiar characters and the changes that were happening - at least some things were good. As usual, there were those intent on gathering power...so many villains (but don't they make for the best suspense?)
Looking forward to the next story. Great storytelling.
A recommended read, but needed to be read in order.
I didn't love this book as much as I did the others in the series. This book had in-depth descriptions of the fighting in the war the sisters were waging. While I find the information interesting, for me, it gets tedious.
I didn't quite believe Endi's character. The delusions to his motivations weren't believable to me.
The sisters are a remarkable unit which includes a long lost brother. It will be good to see the whole family re unite.Love this book along with the whole series...I hope they can get rid of the evil people and no one else has to die.. but the scary bloke with crows sounds even more deadly.
Oh, ffs. Sophia invaded her homeland to “save the man I love” as though that’s a better reason to get people killed than, say, ending the practice of slavery and burning people alive if they have magic. And Kate lost her magic so no more preternatural fighting skills except that she’s still a preternaturally gifted fighter. And there’s still at least 2 more books. Geez
for the audiobook. Book six on the series that follow sisters Sophia and Kate from outcast orphans through escape from the indenture, as they progress, on seperate paths they find a home and distant family, and a past that includes a stolen birthright. Now they move to reclaim the Kingdom stolen from their parents.
Love the characters, love the action, no nudity or cussing. Refreshing to read just for fun and get caught up with the stories and characters. I’m stuck mostly in bed and I’m binge reading this series. I love most of Morgan Rices stuff except for the vampire books. Any time I find one of her books I try to read it.
Morgan Rice does it again! I can't wait to see what happens next with Sophia and her family. Treachery abounds their the Danse clan. Will someone put an end to it? What will happen remains to be seen.
The storyline is fast paced filled with adventure. The description of each character in the story and their personalities is skillfully done so we are drawn into their drama. I highly recommend the series. You won't be able to put the books down.
A captivating story that had me purchasing the next book in the series before I finished the current one! Even though the story is a fantasy, we all can relate in some way to each character and their struggles throughout the series.
