3.5 Russian Hottie Stars!!
Camry is a 26 year old divorced woman with a young daughter and engaged, yet for some reason has yet to set a date and is kind of dragging her feet. Garland is a very wealthy businessman who very much enjoys his extravagant lifestyle. Garland and Camry come from two different worlds and lifestyles, yet they work and they fall rapidly for one another, Garland’s eventual bond with Camry's daughter Autumn is heartwarming. The relationship between the main characters Garland and Camry definitely blossomed rather quickly.
They meet while Camry is on a weeklong girls vacation in Florida and Garland spots her in a crowded club and comes to her aid when an admirer makes a nuisance of himself. He then invites Camry and her girls to a party on his yacht the following evening and things progress pretty fast from there.
If you like a LOT of sexy times and drama you’ll enjoy this book. But be warned their story continues in the next book Wreckless Intentions due for a June 2018 release where we’ll hopefully learn more about Garland’s secretive past.
Final thoughts: I enjoyed this debut book by K. Marie. It had a great storyline, great H&h, likable secondary characters, and the storyline flowed rather nicely. The only thing that really, really, really bugged me was that Camry was engaged to another man when she hooked-up with Garland, so there is technically “cheating” in the story and how everyone constantly winked at one another. Cheating and excessive winking aside I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Congratulations, K. Marie you NAILED Wreckless Engagement! A definite five-star read. We must address the elephant in the room BEFORE the naysayers slam this amazing read!
So let's address the elephant in the room. One of the characters is engaged to be married so I guess technically one of the characters "cheated". Hint: its not Garland, the hero. Does that make it easier to read? Will you give this amazing story a chance? The engagement is definitely NOT what you think so keep an open mind and I promise you will LOVE this story! I mean who doesn't love a sexy Russian billionaire with sexy bodyguards, yachts, clubs, and claims only to be a "businessman"? Oh yes, there's definitely a story!
I highly recommend this story! You won't be disappointed.....

Wreckless Engagement by K. Marie

Will review tomorrow. I am suffering a book hangover. Omg! I think this may be the best book I have read in all of 2017 & 2018!

Normally I start with the bad of a book. But this one?! Maybe you will run into errors. MAYBE! I mean, nothing is perfect, right?
Sugar, let me tell you now, this is the Mona Lisa of books! I am flabbergasted. Totally amazed. In complete awe of this book. And one of the things that amazes me is this is her FIRST BOOK!
Talk about nailing it on your first time out of the gate. I think she is a 'Natural Born Master of StoryTelling'.
Look out all you other authors and writers of fiction. There is a brilliant and truly gifted star on the rise and her name is K. Marie!
I did not expect to feel this way about this book. So let's get down to the nitty gritty here.
It has everything that makes a great story.
There is intrigue, mystery, suspense, laughter, tears and ADULT romance.
The supporting character parts are will established. Especially Camry's best friend Marie.
The flow of the story is sheer perfection.
Oh! I have to tell you. There is NO repetition and absolutely NO rambling in this story. None! Nada. Zilch! And that is a huge pet peeve of mine. I am delightfully and refreshingly astonished!
Both Camry and Garland, the main characters are full of personality. There is snark from both of them. Camry is the type of person you want as your BFF. Garland is the type of man who will make you think twice about getting involved with him. Fate and destiny step in and these two are slammed into each other's life.
The action starts on page one and does not stop throughout the entire story! I was so immersed in their world I found myself reading at three in the morning and not wanting to stop. I had to know what the heck was going to happen next.
You are given clues about Garland and other characters in the story, but you are never quite sure who or what they are. What they are really about. What they will do next. Not till the end.
By the time you finish, all your questions are answered.
There is so much more I can say about this book. But, I don't believe in spoilers. So I am just going to say, from one book lover to another, this one is an orgasmic experience you don't want to miss.
Excuse me while I have another bookgasm just thinking about this story & the possibility of reading a book 2. There so has to be a book 2!! I must have MORE of this writer!!!

I loved this story and thought it was well thought out and very nicely written. I was even more impressed when I discovered it was the author's first book!
Five ladies go off to Florida for a 5 day break. I giggled from the start at the moans and groans about travelling, as we all know what a pain it can be.
Camry is the main character, and teamed up with her cousin Marie, there's lots of humour and banter. Lauren, Camry's older sister, could be a bit of a kill joy. But there always has to be one!!!
Then we have Garland...he steps in to save the day in a club and things progress very rapidly from there. He's a regular hero!
Camry and Garland together...HOT!
Now, I'm not an advocate of cheating and it does go on here. BUT, you have to know the circumstances of what goes before and what happens after.
All in all, I thought this was a great read and I look forward to reading more by this talented new author.

I really liked this book because it shows that even when two people are from totally different lifestyles they can relate and find love! I was hoping for more of an explanation about John but I’m glad he is gone! I’m excited to see where the next book will go from here!! There are still questions that I hope will be answered in the next book but I really love how this book ended!!

I am normally not a huge fan of books with cheating, so In the beginning I didn’t care for Camry. I actually really like Garland, I’m not sure what it was about him, he started out as an ass, but by the end of the book, I loved him. I loved Marie, she was an awesome secondary character, I want a book about her! I think K. Marie did an awesome job redeeming Camry for me. All the questions I had while reading were answered, I like when everything ties together by the end! I can’t wait to read more of their story!

Wreckless Engagement: The Russian Engagement Series by K. Marie
This is the debut book/series by K. Marie and for a first one I would say that it is a solid book. I have not been one to like this type books, but I found this one had me intrigued and eager to turn the next page.
The characters where defined and well developed with the timeline in chronological order so the events made sense. As I worked my way through the pages there were times that I had trouble understanding what was going on. This happened when the chapter seemed to pick up in the middle of a scene. One chapter would finish with the next chapter picking either picking up where the previous left off or you would be at a different time which caused me to have to think about where we were. The transitions between character and events was confusing at times especially when there were new characters introduced. I have read enough books to read between the lines which is what I had to do with this one.
So, I’m sure you are confused when I say that this is a solid book that had me eager to turn the next page. Well, I believe the story is sold, as I stated earlier, it just feels a little disjointed in spots and it will not deter me from reading the next book when it is available because I must know how this is going to play out. The balance between light and dark that is how I would describe Garland and Camry.
This story revolves around Garland who is a successful businessman in Miami and Camry a book editor from Michigan. How would these two ever meet? I’m not one to give anything away just know that it is a wild ride. This series has all the earmarks of a typical bad boy romance with a naïve damsel in distress. Again, that will not stop me from reading the next book in the installment.
If you are a reader who loves a bad boy books, then Garland the sexy Russian businessman will most definitely be forefront in your fantasies. He is almost too good to be true. I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment.

This was my first time reading this author and I loved this book! This book grabbed me from the the start. The Garland and Camrys chemistry is off the charts and undeniable. There are secrets and twists and turns at every stop in this story!

First, I want to thank K. Marie for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
Wreckless Engagement The Russian Engagement Series by K. Marie sure was a rollercoaster ride full of lots of hot kinky sex with a mysterious Garland. Never had I read a book that focused on sex more than the plot itself. Don’t get me wrong K. Marie can write some dam hot sex scenes with a lot of detail! But there is a point where the reader gets bored and wants to get on with the story itself.
I loved the names in the book she choose. Garland, Camry, Autumn. Very pretty names.
The evolving relationship of Garland and Camry are two other things I loved about the book. Each came from two different worlds and they made it work. Garland was any woman’s dream man.
Garland’s bond with Camry's daughter Autumn put a huge smile on my face.
What I didn’t like was I honestly think this should have been better as two books. I say that because at one point the book changes to Camry’s view and then Garland’s view. Up until now we had not read it in their perspective. As a reader it threw me off and turned me off. My thought was keep it all In one style or make that second part another book. Because when they went into this views of themselves they talked about stuff that was not even mentioned in the book prior.
If you like a book with a LOT of sex in it and a lot of drama in it then this book is for you. I liked this book but it was not my favorite book I have read. I don’t think I would continue on with the series.

GREAT STORY. When I read a book it's important that the story keeps me interested and is not predictable. Wreckless engagement did not disappoint! I could not put this book down! The story takes you on a roller coaster ride with plenty of curveballs and drama. Garland and Camry are the two main characters, who goes on an erotic journey that will have you fanning yourself from the intense heat between the two of them. The chemistry is hot and steamy, and not overdone or distasteful. There's also some mystery and intrigue, where the characters end up making decisions that have life changing consequences. Trust me, there is plenty of action, even some that might lead to a dangerous, dark path. Camry and Garland are very strong, likable characters. Garland is wealthy and Camry is the girl next door, which makes their "engagement" very interesting and complex. The author did a good job with the play on "engagement", I think :-) My favorite side character is Marie. She's Camry's cousin/best friend and has a larger than life personality. Marie added both humor and levity to the story. All in all, this was an excellent, superbly written debut novel. YES THAT'S RIGHT, it is K. Marie's first book! I can't wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend it.

Must Read!
Wreckless Engagement was an incredible read and I hated to put it down. Camry and Garland are flawed but loveable characters. Though, at times, they both make you question why you should like them, K Marie makes sure you do. I found myself overlooking and even condoning their sins because I felt like I knew them and understood their hearts. It's hot, sexy, suspenseful and riveting. You seriously can't go wrong. I loved this story and boy do I want some more Garland. I wasn't ready for his story to end. I wanted more, more, more. More Garland. More Joe. More Viktor. More Stack.
K Marie has earned a loyal fan in me.

What a debut novel!! K. Marie has twisted a tale that leaves you begging for more. The relationship between Camery and Garland is hot and steamy one minute, playful and hilarious the next. But then you have the suspense and wonder of the back story. The sex scenes are super hot and very tastefully written. She has several supporting characters whom I love to see enter the chapter, specifically Camery’s cousin Marie and Garland’s cousin Viktor. So if you want a sexy, suspenseful love story, this one is for you!! This book is like potato chips, you can’t have just one!! I will definitely be pre-ordering the second in the series.

I truly have never read an author's debut book that has held me so captivated until now. It has me craving my next fix on her characters and her writing.
If K. Marie's writing gets better with time - I may just need a paramedic on stand by to jump start my heart.

SPEECHLESS!! TOTALLY SPEECHLESS!!! K. MARIE is a First time AUTHOR for me and She Had Me at the Very First chapter!! I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! IT WAS LIKE READING AN MOVIE AND I HELD ON FOR DEAR LIFE!!!

A good read, but should have been made into 2 different books.
Garland an attractive man always getting what he wants. He set his eyes in Camry, a single mom of a little girl Autumn.
Camry met Garland while on vacation in Miami. She was engaged at the time. Garland stopped a man from making advances at Camry while at a club with her family. He invited her to a party on his boat the following night. She found Garland attractive and convince her family to attend the party which turned out to be Garlands birthday party.
Garland had 1 thing in his mind, to get Camry into bed with him and it worked. Camry assumed it would be a 1 night stand, and so did Garland. But Garland couldn’t get enough of Camry.
Garland wanted to keep Camry to himself and insisted that she break her engagement with John. And she did. She knew that she was not wanting to marry John and that is why she put off making wedding plans.
John didn’t take the news well, and started contacting her. While on a trip to see Camry, Garland found out that she was pregnant and demanded that she “take care” of it as he didn’t want to have children. Camry found out that Garlands wife and child were murdered.
Once Garland found out that Camry was going to Lee the baby, he proposed to her and they were married.

So before I start I have to say this is not normally the kind of mafia books I read. I love when they show the ugly side of their world. This one,however, does not. This shows the loving supporting husband and how he treats his wife which is nice sometime. I'll admit it.
I will say I'm not the biggest fan of how Garland and Camry met. I also realize she thought it was gonna be a fling at first but soon turned into something more. In all honesty, John had reasons to be furious at her. Everything moved very quickly for Garland and Camry. Met, fell in love and started their lives together. Camry was basically an open book while Garland held things in. He had reasons, mostly keeping her and her daughter safe but to a persisting wife he finally opened up some. I liked Garland. He treated Camry really well. He had respect for her and her daughter. I laughed cause he wanted her to go out and spend his money but she was happy doing things online. This would be me as a mafia wife. He was a sex crazed maniac when it came to her. I must say Camry had it well. The storyline flowed well but part of me wished there were more gruesome scenes. It's hard to shut that down, I'm sorry. This was a very well written and had characters you easily could love. Garland did take some time for me but I did find myself like him towards the end. I can't wait to read more from this series!!

K.Marie’s Wreckless Engagement reminded me of books by Susan Elizabeth Phillips with a dash of Kathy Coopman’s Syndicate series. Heat level: medium. Camry is engaged, but in no hurry to set a date when she goes on vacation with her besties to Miami where Garland saves her from a gropey fiend on the dance floor. Sounds like a sweet beginning, right? Camry is sweet, until we discover her potty mouth and she discovers her mischievous side in all those sex scenes with dark and dangerous and super rich Garland. The dialogues were particularly entertaining, especially Camry chanelling her inner b*ch to fight off the competition. While I had qualms with anybody of Russian descent (ok, ok, Russian-Argentinian, but still) being named Garland, the book was a fast-pace read and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. Will Camry discover Garland’s secrets? Will her ex fiancee really let things go and if not, will Garland do something about it? Will they get their happily ever after and will she be able to love the damaged man who has found hope in her and has no intention of letting her go? Definitely thankful for receiving the book as a gift in a prize draw, totally recommend it and am looking forward to the next instalment in the Russian engagement series, Wreckless Intentions.

When I decided to read this book, I thought it was going to be different. This is the first book I have read from K. Marie and it was alright. Much longer than I thought it needed to be. I feel like there was so much dialog at times that could have been cut out or shortened. Or this could have been made into 2 separate books. At one point in the book I was like OK lets get on with it already. So if you like longer books that are a little dragged out, then this is a good book for you.
Ok moving on... The sex scenes were great. If you enjoy reading steamy reads, then this is a good one for that. The chemistry between Camry and Garland was great! Please do not read this book if you are going to be bothered that Camry is engaged and then gets with Garland. It is stated right in the synopsis and too many people have complained about it. Get over it... Or don't read it...
I wouldn't mind giving K. Marie another try, but maybe not this series.

Overall this book was pretty good! Once you got past the first quarter of it, it was a much faster moving, easier to read story. It was hard for me to totally get into it at first due to Camry’s blatant cheating. But, it is a work of fiction and that’s how fiction goes and the cheating serves a purpose later. However, it felt as if the author tried to our way too much into the story at one time. While we all KNEW who the stalker was, he just randomly disappeared and his death got almost no attention after the huge buildup that the author gave to him. Then the actual “bad guy” at the end, who came from Garland’s homeland of Russia, kind of came out of nowhere, with no real reason for suddenly coming after Garland and his family at this point in time. It was just overwhelming, and got to the point that it was hard to follow. The chemistry between Garland and Camry was fantastic, however, and was the real hook that got me to keep reading. While this wasn’t my favorite book, it was definitely not the worst I’ve ever read, and was definitely an enjoyable read!

Dayummm!! Ok, I'm good now, I swear! let me start off by saying where has this author been hiding?? I just found a new 1 click author!!

I love the chemistry between Garland and Camry! and I really love her cousin Marie! she totally had me crackin up! seriously, love her! anyway, back to the main two! Garland and Camry meet while she's engaged to someone else who she's not in love with. So yes, there is cheating in the beginning, however, she does break off the engagement with john. And then things change drastically between her and Garland! without giving any away, I'll just say that this book is loaded with love, HEAT, romance, and suspense! this is a definite must read!! I can't wait to see where the next book takes me!

An engaging read with good characters and story. Camry is flawed and has issues and this is shown during this book. She is not a damsel in distress or a virtuous princess awaiting her Prince. She is a single mum with a fiance at home while she goes on a girly weekend away. Enter Garland, a massive bump in the road she did not see coming. He forces her to examine her life and the relationship she is currently in. All the while ruthlessly perusing her.
She is the salvation he didn't want. Yet he can't stay away. Camry is Garlands second chance of happiness and he will do anything and everything to keep his family safe. You know from the outset he is not all he seems and as the book progresses his dark side is exposed.
A good read and looking forward to the next instalment.

There was a lot to like about this book.....sexy, wealthy Russian alpha meets single mom girl next door, steamy, sexy fun, right??! This book has that, plus suspense, plus a whole lot more. BUT, you need to get through the first half of the book which was not well paced, a little confusing at times, and just ok for me. I promise, once you get past the first half of part one, you’ll enjoy the read slot more. There lies the second problem for me. This is a l-o-n-g book, and it ends with a cliffhanger!!! I hate cliffhangers! Now I have to wait for the next book, grrrrrr. BUT, this book has well written characters, Garland & Camry, compelling secondary characters, well paced after the first half, and a intriguing storyline. Solid Start!!

The relationship between Camry and Garland kept my interest. Camry cheating on her fiancee leading to a relationship with Garland, even though he is bad. The plot unfolds with hot steamy love, murder, and a strong woman. Even though I thought there were too many sex scenes to focus on a balanced read with two points of view which seemed a better fit with two books. I will admit that the book is suspenseful and kept me on the edge, but some parts especially the excessive sex scenes seem to outweigh the balance in the plot. I do love the her writing style and the emotions your feel reading the book. To me, a good author makes you hate or love the characters and you definitely love Camry and Garland.

Camry went on a girls weekend with her sister and cousin and friends. She was at a club when a tall dark sexy man noticed her and she him. Garland is a business man and very much loves control, but something about Camry he couldn’t walk away. Garland and Camry had a few days of bliss till it was time to go. He wants her and will prove it to Camry. There are many factors that can cause pain for them as a couple. Long distance relationships aren’t easy and there could be a few secrets that need to be known, but one thing for sure is they love each other more than anything but when dangers come could things change for them? Will they love each other even tho secrets can tear them apart?

This book was a roller coaster. Camry and Garland were great together, but they definitely did not have a typical romance. Camry started having sex with Garland before breaking off her engagement to another man. Once she was free to work on new relationship, things got more intense than either Camry or Garland was prepared for. There were also secrets. Boy, did Garland have secrets! Somehow, even though he wasn't always a good guy, I couldn't help rooting for his happiness. Parts of this book blew my mind, and I can't imagine what the future will entail for this couple. I look forward to finding out what will happen next.

Its certainy not an easy ride but it is one with some seriously good banter between the two main characters. While your reading this book you will have questuons but they are all answered before the end of the book. This books so well written it leave you wanting for nothing except maybe more of these two characters. I cant wait to see what the next book in this series is about.

4,5 stars but OMG I did not know this was going to end with a cliffhanger!
I felt something was up when at 90% the story wasn't nearly finished...
Aside from minor editing errors, I highly enjoyed this book. Wonderful characters and great chemistry between the H and h. In a way the H reminded me of Naz from Monster in her eyes...but more passionate.
So on a girls' trip Camry meets the illustrious Garland, a mysterious businessman who sweeps her off her feet. She has an affair with him but they end up falling in love. She returns home, breaks off her engagement and starts a relationship with Garland. But of course...things aren't always as they seem...
