Never read many books authored by Bhutanese, but The Circle of Karma, In Love with Butterflies and The History of Bhutan are some of my favourites. And this Passu Diary by Chablop (Toilet Teacher) Passang Tshering is no exception.
Going through this beautifully crafted and well fabricated accounts of his life, I could literally time travel to our mundane bhutanese lives in rural areas, our school days and some important annual social events. Besides few interesting business ideas feasible in our country, the author has also uncovered in the book historic accounts concerning some highly revered icons and legends of our country many of us never heard or even knew existed.
Chablop Passu has resigned from his teaching career and dedicated as full time social worker. He and his team in BTO have been doing more than enough to the King, country and people. I know everyone is appreciated with it and I strongly believe he highly deserved the precious title from His Majesty the King.
You can always follow his personal blog passu diary in social medias to dig out more.
A good read.
