The everyday moments, and the extraordinary moments, have always made the most sense to Danielle in words. In their cadence and their rhythm, in the way they can move a moment forward, or pull a moment to a slow stop. Where others may hear the conversation by way of what was said next, Danielle has always heard the space between, and all the words left unsaid. She began to write these words, those spaces, onto paper. In this has grown a truth she could no longer write just in the margins, as a maybe, or a sometime, but rather as air, as water, as basic survival.

The lineage of women before her have always said to her in no uncertain terms that the time to be brave, is now. That the time to be quiet, is never. And how you choose to share, that is your heart-work. And this is Danielle's heart-work.

And so, her offering is the words unsaid, in the spaces we need it most. It is the lonely spaces, the low-lit spaces, the dark corners, and the rooms we don't often go. Too, it is the top of the mountain spaces, the light rising through the curtain spaces, the 2 a.m. sitting on the kitchen floor with the people that know you best, in-love spaces, gently reminding you that you are never alone.

this book is full of beautiful and heart wrenching poems about self love, personal growth, love, abuse, rape, and above all: healing - healing from both the wounds inflicted by others and the ones you inflict yourself. it is powerful and moving, with beautiful imagery and a smooth flow. it reminds you of all the power you hold within you while encouraging you to accept the things you consider weaknesses too. the illustrations are interesting to look at and add a nice touch too! all in all a very uplifting and emotionally empowering read that I would highly recommend to anyone.

I am Her tribe, is pure poetic artistry. This book is full of raw emotion and magic, that will capture your heart. It takes you on a self-discovery journey of healing aching wounds, longing for someone wanting through the eyes of a young woman. This poetry book embodies the female essence and glorifies femininity. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who loves poetry, wants to connect with their inner goddess or anyone who aches to express themselves because of longing and heartaches but can’t.

LOVED! I don’t usually read poetry and I happened upon this book. The messages are clear and intentional and full of inspiration. As a female entrepreneur with a staff of women, I will be gifting a copy to each of them.

For years, I have sent Danielle's writings to other people, even pulling them out when I'm in my own time of need and transition. It has been an opinion of mine since I first found her poems and words that she's the voice of our generation- always hitting the mark beyond what we can consciously comprehend, to stir something deeper within. This book is no exception, her writing evolving into the raw, and real subtext of what it's like to be a woman in 2018- being yet again a voice that speaks up and speaks loud, ushering in the feeling that I, as a woman, can do the very same thing, and it makes me want to.

LOVE THIS BOOK.

This is an absolutely beautiful collection.

No matter your life path, your unique circumstances, or the million joys and sorrows that have made you who you are today, you will find yourself in each of these poems.

Some read really quickly and are reminders, others are longer (these are my favorite). Every page is special.

This book came to me when I needed it most. Beautiful poetry that I was able to relate to my own life and hardships. There were a few poems I read over and over before turning the page.

I absolutely loved the authentic, powerful, messages Danielle writes about in her poems. I felt her raw emotion throughout the book, and found myself relating to numerous poems, as I’m sure others will too. I will definitely tell my friends that I Am Her Tribe is a must read!

Read because it was a gift. It’s basically just condescending ‘self help’ with line breaks wrapped up in a nice package of white feminism?

Not poetry and also frames self improvement as a way to make you more appealing to a potential mate, so.

This book is so full of beauty & inspiration. Sometimes I will just pick it up and flip to a random page & it never fails to speak directly to my soul & the moment I am in. Danielle’s words are soft yet powerful. I want to gift this to every woman I know. Just magic.

This book cuts right to the heart of so much about life and the soul. It is a beautifully written collection of words and poems about struggle, growth, light, darkness, empowerment, healing, perseverance, love, kindness, and humanity. Time and time again I found myself thinking about life in ways I never had before. Powerful enough to sit down and read from cover to cover or perfect to pick up on a daily basis, flipping through and soaking up the thoughts and the wisdom in those pages. No matter where are you at in life, there are words in this book that will help you navigate and find the meaning you are looking for. I would highly recommend to anyone.

This is not for me. I feel like there's an expectation that anything billed as empowering for women has to get five stars or you're a "bad feminist" - but I felt like I was reading the 'inspirations' from the inside of Dove chocolate wrappers. It was bad.

I am Her Tribe is an intimate companion for the heart and all of its dimensions.
This exquisite collection of poems and verses invites you into those vulnerable spaces where you crack open to listen, learn and love more deeply. Danielle's words ignite deep passion and are a beautiful melancholic expression of what it is to be human, lean into tenderness, harness your wisdom, own your magic and be willing to express yourself fully. My new favorite bedside book. LOVE!

This book is epic from start to finish. Each poem resonated with my heart and Danielle has a way with words that captures the human experience so wonderfully.

Inspiration, joy, grief, sadness, elation... I experienced the whole range of emotions as I went through the journey page by page.
Definitely a great book whether you're a man or a woman or anything in between. It's reflects what it means to be human. Thanks for sharing your gift with the world Danielle. :)

I can't even count the number of times I screamed "yes" or shed a tear while reading this book. Danielle has managed to put words to all the thoughts and emotions I never knew how to properly express. At one point, I found myself saying, "So it wasn't just me." To know that someone else has felt as I have, cried as I have, dreamed as I have makes me feel sane, safe, and seen. Not to mention, the juxtaposition of deep, intricate writing with beautifully simplistic art is just breathtaking. I can't recommend this book enough.

Danielle's poetry is nakedly authentic. She is a master of word assembly - the kind that makes you feel seen, heard, and understood at a visceral level. I am Her Tribe is a collection of works that every woman who seeks brave inspiration needs to read (and it's beautifully illustrated, too!)

Danielle writes from a place of vulnerability + truth, inspiring all of us to speak + express ourselves from this same place. Her poetry brings me to my knees a thousand times over. I can’t wait to read these words to my daughter.

This book is a warm embrace, an open love letter and emotional disclosure of genuine feelings and human connection. Each word is carefully crafted and placed to express deep thoughts for us to feel on a level beyond imagination. This book is a keeper. One you read, re-read, reference and seek for inspiration. I can only hope Danielle continues to put her pen to paper and share her heart and soul with the world. We need more of her.
