When Katerina’s brother exiled her from the kingdom in a murderous plot to take the throne, the last thing he ever imagined was that she’d come back. Much less…with an army of her own.
As the two sides prepare for battle, the princess finds herself at a crossroads. New alliances are made as old friendships are thrown into question. The dark wizard is moving ever closer, and a heartbreaking betrayal leaves everything up for grabs.
The supernatural community has rallied behind her, but will it be enough? Can she keep the peace long enough to take her rightful place on the throne? Will this new power make her stronger, or will she find herself at the mercy of forces beyond her control?
The players are ready. The board is set. Now all that’s left to do is roll the dice…
Be careful who you trust. Even the devil was once an angel.
The Queen's Alpha Series: Eternal Everlasting Unceasing Evermore Forever
Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.
The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.
These books are so short and this series is very entertaining. It got boring for a while but I’m hooked again. It’s a good series to just read whenever you feel like it and pick it up in between other books.
errrrr was very hard to choose between 3 or 4 stars, because it's solidly both, and it's been a little bit since I read it, so I can't remember vividly why I feel it deserves 3 instead of 4. 3.5... Not the best nor worst of the series, but I didn't like almost the entire middle section. I'm getting a little tired of the will-they-won't-they of Kat and Dylan, and Dylan's reticence to fully take up his crown... ugh! while at the same time I'm enjoying it. I'm not a fan of cliffhanger endings but this series is BUILT off of them, and I think this one's is really really good. It's a fun, very quick read just like the rest in this series.
tbf me not liking this book as much as the others could very very easily be chalked up to the fact that I read the first half or so in mid july, and only picked it back up mid august to finish it... And I very very obviously continued with the next book in the series right after finishing this one-- I like this series! This just definitely was NOT my favorite installment.
I LOVED THIS SERIES! My ONLY critique is that I wish she hadn't mentioned twinkling eyes so much my. I read this book and series very quickly many of them in one sitting, and found myself dreaming of it's characters, yelling at them or for them, laughing, crying, I just got complete caught up on each book.
Well, that was a surprise. Just gonna have to jump in to book 6 As always, loving the series but think it would have held up better with 2 books being merged into one. I usually don't look at books under with pages as few as some of these on the basis they can be not much more than a novella and 90% of novellas leave me with a feeling unfinished so normally this series wouldnt have ended up on my radar...not sure how it did to be honest but glad it did.
I love the Fae Fairy Shifter series as I did the Kerrigan series. The characters are well drawn and the reader cares about them. The imagination of the author is amazing and engrossing.I am eagerly awaiting the next book when it is issued.
Wow! So much happened in this book. Handsome men. Wicked queens. Getting back to the past, seeing people that they thought were dead and we almost lost a character. A roller coaster this book was. I think this adventure is good for 15 and older.
What's going to happen?! It's the main thought your trying to puzzle out the entire book. More questions than answers come to light but it still keeps you wanting more.
These books are super short but good. I enjoy the stories but as with her other series/books, I've noticed a pattern. The lack of a good editor/proofreader is obvious .
Absolute page turner that leaves hungry for the next book!
May's books just keep getting better and better. There are plenty of twists in the plot that jump right out and surprise the reader. can't wait to dive into the next book in this series!
