Review of
THE LIFE OF PAUL
Rose Visual Bible Studies Paul
This is good study of the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul. I cannot say it is the most in depth study of Paul I have read, but it is very useful for those wanting to learn more about Paul. This is titled as a visual study. The study lives up to its title. The visuals and graphics are excellent. The questions at the end of each section provoke thought and can generate discussion. This study would serve both individuals and groups.
I truly liked the timelines and maps included in the study. They help place Paul and what he did in an historical context. The application of what happened in Paul’s life to our individual lives is also well done. The study is well structured for a group with subsections that enable the learner to follow the events and understand how they affected Paul, the church and our present day. Each week has an Explore It, Live it and questions subsections.
The one weakness is the study is not an in-depth study of Paul and his theology. This is only a weakness for those who are looking for a very detailed, in-depth study. In all farness I must also say this study is good as an overview for those looking for an in-depth study. Often, when getting into detail we should return to a good overview, so we are not lost in the depths.
This study compares very well with similar products on the market. He graphics and visuals (timelines, maps, etc.) are better than other similar studies I have seen. The ease of following the lessons and guiding others through the lessons is above average. I would recommend this study to anyone, either a new believer of a person who has been a believer for a long time.
