What happens when you meet your mate and he has already suffered the loss of his own mate?
Frankie had a heart transplant when she was younger, the heart she received was from another shifter. Not knowing if she'll live long enough to ever meet her mate, she lives life to her fullest. When her heart starts pounding out of control when she walks into the hotel, she panics. It's only when Adam touches her hand to make sure that she's okay, that she realizes that she just met her mate.
Adam knows that you don't get a second chance with fate. A mate is for life, but meeting Frankie has him questioning everything.
Could it be her new heart that he's reacting to? Or the shifter herself?
A must read!

Reviewed at Shifter Haven
Readers of Harmony Raines work already know that this series features characters from her Return to Bear Creek series. I happen to be a reader who loves the connections and interactions of a long series. I must admit that this story is my favorite (so far) of the Silverbacks and Second Chances series – and among my top favorites from the Return to Bear Creek series.
Yet, I don’t feel that I can really talk about Fated Bear. It is an excellent story, loving, emotional and sexy all rolled into one – but to say too much would give away details that really should be experienced firsthand by each reader. I won’t take that joy and excitement away from future readers.
I loved Frankie and Adam together, they match perfectly. We’ll get to see all of the couples we’ve met so far once again, and that always makes a book more complete for me personally. But Frankie and Adam need to tell you their story themselves. You’ll get emotional, I’d be very surprised if you don’t. So, know that you are in for a very special treat – and enjoy yourself and indulge in a very happy ever after ending.

Frankie & Adam
We have been introduced to Frankie and Adam in previous books. In this story we found out she have had a heart transplant and when out for a tea at Catherine Hotel ( also introduced in previous books ) with her half sister's adopted children she meets Adam, her mate. Yai! Right? No so much. Why? you may ask. Because Adam already had a mate that has pass away. Ok! Very sad! But No so bad. Wrong! As it turns out the heart betting in Frankie's chest is Adam's previous mate!
Is he really Frankie's mate? Or is he "pulled" to her by the heart of his previous mate?
I truly enjoyed this book! A rollercoaster of emotions and I will confess... a tear-jerker. I did drop a tear or two. Can't wait for the next book which I am sure will be about Hunk and Elise. Highly recommended

A bit off the beaten path
Firstly I want to say I enjoyed this book and am an avid fan of Harmony Raine's stories. That being said this book was a bit more off the beaten path than her usual tales. The story focused on the background medicals of the two main characters and the possible links to their own relationships. Although I enjoyed the story immensely, I am still unsure on how I feel regarding the heart transplant and blood donor issue and its connection to their mating. It was a little different, almost odd, to read about but not unexpected from the blurb. Overall, it was a good story and the characters were likeable. As usual it ended with a HEA and a feel good vibe.

So amazing !
From page one I knew this book would be great. I just was not prepared for how beyond words can even describe great it was! The warning to have Kleenex handy is very real!!! This book I have to say is probably one of my favorites by Harmony Raines that I have read so far. Her books are so real life and full of so much emotion. I love how her books make me feel when I read them! I have read most of what she writes and have never been disappointed. This is another must read! I love how she brings in other characters into this book that I loved from other books. Even if you did not read those other books this is still a great standalone book! Do yourself a favor read this book with kleenex, and enjoy it. It's worth reading!

Adam and Frankie
Adam is the manager of the Catherine motel. We met him in Julius's book. He thought he had a mate but she died.
Frankie had a heart transplant a couple's ago but she feels as if the heart is restless.
When Adam and Frankie meet they are overwhelmed with the feeling that they are mates. But Frankie is worried that maybe he isn't her mate but the mate of whoever's heart she has.
This story is about the journey to find out about the past in order to plan for the future. This story is also a tear-jerker at times. It sucks you into feeling what the characters are.

Super cute story
I loved the whole concept of this story. Frankie and Adam are great characters. I loved how they treated each other and the other characters so well. Elise was a cool addition, as was having Frankie volunteer at the animal shelter. The main premise was a little out there, but then so are shifters to some people! The whole thing was done very well. I am so glad I read this upbeat shifter romance. I will have to read more by Harmony Raine's. Try it yourself and see!

Oh, my! Get the tissues ready
Talk about expertly written. I've always enjoyed this authors books. I read the blurb on this and thought it sounded good and a little different. Boy, was I wrong. It isn't good, it's great! It is totally different from what I expected. The author advises the reader to have tissues ready, she didn't lie. My tears were coming like raindrops at times. This is beautiful. The characters are very memorable. This book in my opinion deserves more than five stars. This is a fresh take on a story and I thank you. A lost love to be found.

This is an amazing, heartwarming book that will draw you in from the first page and you will be totally captivated until the last. What you will find in this amazing book is: drama, mystery, heartache, loyalty, disbelief, emotional conflict, fated mates, love, passion and mild erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have personality with emotions feelings of desire and love.

Sweet, a little slow moving, with the manager of The Catherine and a sister of the wife of the owner of the hotel (whom we met in earlier books in the series). And I’m not sure, but I *think* we met another character before who appears later in the story, but I can’t remember where from!
Low heat, simply written, with heavy topics treated well. A good entry into the series (but maybe a little too calm for me?).

So far I have read 3 of the five books of the Silverbacks and Second Chances series in less than 24 hours. Family values, love and warmth are found within the pages. This book touched my heart even more than the previous 2 -- very, very good. Bravo. I am looking forward to the remaining 2 books. Bravo!

Wow this story went somewhere else. Loved it. I was so happy to see Adam get his happy ending. To souls finding each other after a tragic and horrific death. Loved it. You Rock Harmony!

Enjoyable read
Good character development and a storyline with an interesting twist. It did get a little slow in spots and editing errors always stand out and distract me. Good overall read and I enjoyed a revisit of some of the previous stories.

When fate works in mysterious ways you never know what you are going to get. Due to a virus Frankie had to have a heart transplant. This story really hit home with me as I have a terminal illness that makes me feel like she does, even though she has a 2nd chance at life. Loved this story.

I love this sweet story. Two lost souls finding each other and how their love not healed them, but someone else. It was amazing story of love after death in a weird kind of way.
