Every town has stories of its past, and Havenwood Falls is no different. And when the town’s residents include a variety of supernatural creatures, those historical tales often become Legends. This is but one . . .

Three sister witches escape the Salem witch trials when the eldest casts a spell that sends their souls forward in time. Separated by unknown forces, their soul journeys place them into new lives, causing them to continually try to find one another each time.

After their second soul journey, two of the three Howe sisters end up in an unforgiving mountain range in the early 1700s, but before they can begin to search for their sister, they come face-to-face with a native tribe living in a secluded box canyon. Forced to shift their focus from their lost sibling, the girls quickly realize they’ve been trapped in a time loop and now must face the tribe whose end goal remains to be seen.

When they discover that magic is being misused, the sisters put a plan into motion that will change the canyon forever, hopefully keeping others from falling into the same trap. But as their deaths loom and their next soul journey awaits, they must decide who will protect this special land and the magic of the falls once they're gone.

The Havenwood Falls shared world is a collaborative effort by multiple authors across multiple series all in the paranormal fantasy genre, allowing readers to discover new authors and stories to fall in love with. Each author brings a stand-alone plotline, so they can be read in any order, but there are many crossovers among the stories.

Lost in Time is A LEGENDS of Havenwood Falls Novella by Tish Thawer. This book can absolutely be read as a standalone book. I must admit though that having read many of the NA and YA stories in the series made me appreciate more reading about the history of Havenwood Falls.

I love how all the genres in the whole series meld so well together especially as there are a whole group of authors writing the stories rather than just one.

This was such a magical exciting tale of how the very first protections were put in place at the falls. The author's imagination knows no bounds when she writes of witches, reincarnation, American Indians, shamen, shifters and angelic spirits. This book had it all. There were bittersweet moments and happy moments and although it was only a novella the author managed to fit so much into it that you aren't left feeling as the story could have been expanded upon.

This was the first LEGENDS of Havenwood Falls book that I have read and I can't wait to read the next one.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I really like this story! I have been reading the series and it was fun to see how it all began. It was interesting to see some characters from the main series make an appearance in this story as well. Now I just wonder where the soul journey continued. I may have to look up Tish's other series to find out.

It was well written, and I almost got nervous when I thought I was rereading the same portion, only to read a bit further and I figured it out. I did receive this ARC for an honest review. I am looking for to reading the rest of the legends too!

Lost in Time is an installment in A Legends of Havenwood Falls series. This book works well as a standalone. If you're a fan of the Havenwood Falls or Havenwood Falls High series, I highly recommend picking up this one since this is a wonderful companion series to those and takes readers back to the origins of our favorite supernatural town and residents featured in those series. In particular, this one focuses on the witches as they discover the box canyon that becomes the eventual town of Havenwood Falls I tend to mention in my reviews that the concept behind this series is really interesting and creative, but I have to say that it also tends to attract some very good writing as well. Tish Thawer is no exception to this. Trying to write a book about characters trapped in a time loop can get really confusing and too repetitive for readers if not treated right (trust me on this one as a science fiction reader). I found this was not the case here. The concept behind the soul journey is very creative. I appreciated the detail to the Native Americans and their history, which played a major role in this story. The only thing I really found lacking was a need to get to know the witch sisters more in terms of their characters and different personalities. Time to grab the first book in The Witches of BlackBrook series.

Lost in Time was an introduction to the legends of Havenwood Falls. In this story, we are introduced to a family of witches who travel in time to save themselves from those who hunt them.

The Howe family is thrown into the village of the Ute tribe and soon find themselves a victim of the spell of a Shaman. It is then up to them along with the help of some friends (one who we are extremely familiar with!) to set the record straight so they can get back to their sister who is currently lost in time. Not only are they battling against the shaman, they are also trying to save the tribe from other tribes who mean them harm.

I enjoyed the magic that was introduced in this story and I really liked the bond that the family all shared. It seemed like the strength of one sibling helped the other. I really liked the last few lines of the story as you were introduced to a name in the town we are very familiar with. Tish wrote a great story and I liked the Howe family so much, I think I’ll check out their own story! Can’t wait to read the other Havenwood Legends line!

As part of Ang'dora Productions Review Crew I was able to read Tish Thawer’s Lost in Time as an advance review copy.

Three sister witches escape the Salem witch trials when the eldest, Karina, casts a spell that sends their souls away in time. But separated by time and a shamans spell Kara, Kenna and Jeremiah must try to find Karina. Are they destined to be together again?

Lost in Time takes us right back to the beginnings of Havenwood Falls and gives insight into its magical foundation.

Tish Thawer is not an author I was familiar with prior to reading this advance copy, but she sets the magical scene perfectly for the rest of the Havenwood Falls series.

I have enjoyed every Havenwood Falls book I have read so far, and I am loving the Legends part of series. I really liked the characters in this book and the way the author handled the writing of the time loop without making it too repetitive. I find myself wanting to know what happens next and hope that this author continues with her characters in a later book. I also find myself wanting to know more about their past, and how we came to be standing at a witch burning at the very beginning of the book (this was a great attention grabber!). Tish Thawyer did a great job writing and telling this tale and I will be looking forward to more of her work in the future.

Horrible. Couldn’t even make it to through 50% of the book, which is barely over 60 some pages. Just keeps repeating the same stupid scene played out by 3 characters, pretty much word for word except for a few changes.
I actually thought my kindle had accidentally put me in the same spot or something.
Reads more like a 3rd grade primer book in the way she even structures the language.
Ended up abandoning the book and didn’t even wish to bother exploring any more in the series from the different authors. If this is what they’ve chosen as the opening author, I can only imagine how horrible the rest must be.

Tish Thawer, you have set the standards really high for every book in the Legends of Havenwood Falls series. This book was awesome! I know this review is really late but I have had a few set backs but now I am playing catchup, Which I think this book was a great start. I think this was a great start to the series because really who doesn't love witches. You think Legends aren't true? Well think again Havenwood Falls and watch out and get ready to Learn all about the Legends.

I realllllly tried to get into this story! I felt so badly for the characters that these witches took over and there were a few other things that just made me stop reading. It was hard to cheer on characters that I just lost the caring for. The writing was not at all bad, but the plot, or what I did read was not to my taste. I want to read about characters that I can connect with and this was just not what I was so hoping for. I just could not like these witches.

This book took me through a fast trip through the beginnings of Havenwood Falls. Not only did we see the beginnings of the quaint little town, but we see the lengths that one would go through to protect their family. I have never read anything by Tish, but that is going to change. She writes beautifully and she keeps you invested in what you are reading, from beginning to end.

This was a book that kept my interest and distracted me while home after knee surgery. I liked the characters and I cared about what happened to them. I felt, from the descriptions, that I knew them enough to be able to find them in time in other characters.

Loved this story about the beginning of Havenwood Falls and the beginning of the wards that protect it. Native tribes, Shaman, Time Loops and Soul Journeys bring this story to life.

Interesting

Being I’ve read the rest of this series, it brought light to issues mentioned in the other books. I’m so glad I took the time to read this.

In Lost in Time, Havenwood Falls isn't even a settlement yet! Tish Thawer did an outstanding job. I loved reading about the box canyon before it becomes the town I want to live in. It was fun to see a familiar face and to meet new ones.
The Howes have a strong family bond that even time can't break. With a few set backs they continue searching for their sister. Their journey is going to be a test to that bond. A journey I will happily join them on.
My only complaint would be this story wasn't long enough. Then again when it comes to anything Havenwood Falls, I can never get enough.
If you've enjoyed the Havenwood Falls series or the Havenwood Falls High series, I recommend reading Lost in Time.

Love The History

I thought this was a beautiful story and a beautiful journey of life. This story teaches you what people do to try to preserve their way of life. Whether it be right or wrong people do what they need to, to save their loved ones.

You can feel everyone's emotions rolling off the pages as they take their journey over and over again. You get to learn a little about how Havenwood Falls started and you will even tear up a little at the end.

The only thing I wish was told in the beginning, before the time journey who Jeremiah was before he became the girls father.

Until Next Time.... Tabi
