Darcie Boleyn

Darcie Boleyn has a huge heart and is a real softy. She never fails to cry at books and movies, whether the ending is happy or not. Darcie is in possession of an overactive imagination that often keeps her awake at night. Her childhood dream was to become a Jedi but she hasn’t yet found suitable transport to take her to a galaxy far, far away. She also has reservations about how she’d look in a gold bikini, as she rather enjoys red wine, cheese and loves anything with ginger or cherries in it – especially chocolate. Darcie fell in love in New York, got married in the snow, rescues uncoordinated greyhounds and can usually be found reading or typing away on her laptop.

When Zoe's heart was broken she found a place to heal in Conwenna Cove. She opened her own diner and loves her business and small cottage. The local greyhound sanctuary plays an important part in Zoe's life. She loves dogs and fostered one as well, but isn't ready to take care of a new dog yet after her beloved furry friend passed away. That doesn't mean she can't spend time with as many greyhounds as possible though. Zoe leads a secluded life, but when Nate walks into her diner to ask Zoe to help with his greyhound fundraiser she immediately says yes. Zoe likes Nate, but he has a reputation when it comes to women. Should she believe what she's heard about him?

Nate is planning a big trip. He wants to travel and see something of the world. He isn't going to stay in Conwenna Cove and the last thing he expects is meeting a woman who makes his heart beat faster before he leaves. He'd love to spend more time with Zoe, but his days in Conwenna Cove are limited. Zoe doesn't easily trust people and it takes a while before she lets Nate in. Will Zoe and Nate have a chance together or are they doomed from the start because of their less than ideal circumstances?

Forever at Conwenna Cove is a heartwarming romantic story. Zoe is a gorgeous woman, both inside and out. She doesn't know how wonderful she is, which makes her a fascinating main character to read about. She has many insecurities and spreading her wings is difficult, but slowly she shows people previously hidden parts of herself and I loved finding out more about her personality bit by bit. She's the perfect woman for Nate. They're both caring, kind and vulnerable and they are careful to give their hearts to someone. Nate is a handsome surfer, but that's just the outside, there's much more going on beneath that good looking exterior and I loved each layer of his personality. Nate and Zoe have an interesting journey ahead of them. They are amazing main characters and I really enjoyed reading their story.

Darcie Boleyn's writing has a great flow and her stories are a joy to read. When I start one of her books I don't want to stop reading and I usually finish them in one sitting. Forever at Conwenna Cove is no exception, I couldn't put the story down and loved every single page. Conwenna Cove is a magical setting filled with possibilities and Darcie Boleyn makes it come to life in a fantastic vivid way. I like the way she writes about both animals and people. She knows her characters well and perfectly understands their emotions and reactions. The result is a terrific balanced story. Forever at Conwenna Cove is charming, captivating, moving and sweet. I highly recommend this enchanting book.

Even though Conwenna Cove is a relatively small town in Cornwall, it does not mean everyone knows everyone else, although, they know who they are. In this visit to Conwenna Cove we learn about Zoe. She moved there after a difficult episode in her life. Using the money left to her by her parents, she purchased and now runs the local diner. She recently lost her beloved adopted greyhound and is afraid to give her love to anyone or anything. In the other books in this series we met Nate. He is the local heartthrob, surfer dude and works at his uncle's cafe. He is getting ready to travel the world, but wants to run the fundraiser for the Greyhound Shelter before he leaves. This is where he runs into Zoe. He is meeting with local business people to ask for their support. He knows who Zoe is, but when he actually meets and talks to her, he realizes there is something more to her than he initially thought. Although reluctant to make a commitment due to his impending departure, he cannot resist her. She is dealing with her past and her reluctance to open up to anyone. Will these two be able to connect romantically? We meet up with many of the same characters I have grown to know and love in this series. It is a nice enjoyable read, comfortable, with romance, friendships, camaraderie of small towns and the magic of animals. I recommend this read to anyone who enjoys a good, clean romance that is very realistic, as well as animal lovers. You do not need to have read any of the others in this series to enjoy this book. I have come to enjoy Darcie Boleyn's books and look forward to the next one she has coming out. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

Whilst everyone living in the small Cornish village of Conwenna Cove probably recognises the other residents, it really doesn't mean that they actually know them. In this story, two of the residents discover just how true that is for them!

Zoe Russell moved to the village after a devastating incident. She plans to stay in the delightful community. On the other hand, Nate Bryson is a surfer who is planning to leave the village to travel and see the world but wants to raise funds for the local greyhound sanctuary before he leaves. This introduces the two to each other. The attraction is there but will their plans, history and secrets drive them apart or will love find a way to bring them together?

This author is skilled at bringing the characters and community to life in the imagination of her readers. The interactions, experiences and dilemmas unfold in a realistic manner in this heartwarming story of village life, love and romance. For those familiar with this series, many of the characters from the earlier stories appear in this one and it is great to catch up on their lives. However, I have to say that I think this would also work well even if you haven't read the earlier books. It is a warm, cosy read shining a light on village life and a delightful story to escape into, another brilliant book I have no hesitation in highly recommending from this highly talented author.

I requested and was given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

Looking for something which I knew I would enjoy - following a few days illness - Darcie Boleyn's forthcoming novel just leapt up off my tbr list. Forever at Conwenna Cove did not disappoint; but then, this author never does!

It's a joy to be back in Conwenna Cove for the summer sunshine. My last visit was during the crisp and snowy winter following the story of Grace and Oli. This time round, readers get to know surfer Nate much better. He is a free spirit with no shortage of females lusting after him but has never fallen in love and has plans to travel the world. Before departing on his trip, he decides to run a second fundraiser for the greyhound sanctuary. When he seeks help from local businesses to sponsor the event, he gets to know Zoe Russell, owner of Zoe's Diner, just that little bit better and there is no denying the spark of attraction between them. But with her reticence to get involved, an obvious secret in her past, and his travel plans, who knows where it will all lead?

This novel has so much happening and lots of intertwining stories. Life in Conwenna - as in all our worlds - is never straightforward and this author writes beautifully, penning believable tales with realistic characters. With lots of ups and downs and plenty of laughs this is an uplifting read, and a fitting third book in this series. I've been completely transported to a sunny beach with light breezes and yummy treats - and after the winter we have suffered it did me good! This is a read to sink into and let the location wash over you whilst getting to know the inhabitants, dreaming their dreams and hoping their hopes. A fabulous summer novel!

My thanks to publishers Canelo for pre-approving my copy via NetGalley. This is my honest, original and unbiased review.

Forever at Conwenna Cove is the third and final installment in Darcie Boleyn’s Conwenna Cove series. It’s an opposites-attract romance that takes us back to the summertime in the little Cornish village of Conwenna Cove. Nate is a laid-back surfer dude who was seen in the first two books of the series, but if memory serves, we’re meeting Zoe for the first time. Both work at their respective diners and have lived in Conwenna for a while, but have never really gotten to know each other because of preconceived notions. Nate has saved up some money and plans to leave soon to take a leisurely trip around the world to wherever his fancy leads. But before he goes, he wants to organize one more fundraiser for the Greyhound rescue where he volunteers. To make Surf for Sighthounds a success, he’ll need help from the other local businesses, so his request for donations takes him into Zoe’s diner. The woman he meets and truly starts getting to know for the first time isn’t what he expected and the same goes for her as well. As they work together on Nate’s project, an attraction forms between them. But Zoe was badly hurt in a past relationship and she knows that Nate is planning to leave soon. She just isn’t sure if she should take a chance on getting her heart broken again by someone who is so much like her ex.

As I mentioned, Nate started out as a supporting character in the first two books. He’s a friendly, charming, easy-going guy who works at his aunt and uncle’s cafe. Nate had been very close to his dad whom he lost several years earlier to a sudden heart-attack. Although his dad had been a great husband and father, Nate sensed that he might have had some regrets about settling down too soon and not traveling and seeing more of the world. The two men had been planning just such a trip, but their busy schedules always seemed to get in the way until it was too late. Now, even though his dad won’t be able to share in it, he wants to go travel the world and plans to leave soon to do just that. But first, Nate wants to organize one more Surf for Sighthounds event to raise money for the beloved Greyhound rescue that is a fixture of the town and where he loves to volunteer. Although he’d briefly met Zoe, who owns a diner down the street, he’s never really gotten to know her like many of the other townspeople. He just always felt like she was too quiet and aloof, but when he goes into her diner to ask for donations for the event, he finds a different woman to the one he’d thought she was. At their first genuine meeting, he’s instantly smitten, even though she’s nothing like the women he usually dates. He keeps telling himself that since he’s leaving soon, he shouldn’t get involved, but his heart keeps leading him back to her until he thinks he might have finally found the one woman who could make him settle down. But convincing her that he genuinely wants a future together proves more difficult than he thought it would be. I adored Nate in the earlier books and he’s basically still the same sweet guy in his own story. He’s always kind of played the field and never really thought of settling down until he properly meets Zoe. Despite his past playboy ways, he’s very much a beta hero who’s always patient, never pushy. If I had any critique of his characterization it would be that maybe he could have fought a little harder for Zoe when she put up her walls, but overall he’s just a really super-nice guy.

Zoe lost her parents a while ago, but she wasn’t close to them, always feeling like something of a disappointment to them for not following the path they would have preferred for her. She married young to a surfer who charmed her with his charisma but later cheated on her. She’d forced herself to become someone she wasn’t by trying to like the things that he liked, which only ended in her having a catastrophic surfing accident that scarred her inside and out. Although she likes living by the sea, she can no longer go into the ocean without having a panic attack and still sometimes has nightmares about the accident. After coming into her inheritance, she moved to Conwenna and bought a small diner which she loves running. Zoe has seen Nate around town and finds him attractive, but believing him to probably be just like her ex, she’s never cared to get much closer. Then Nate comes, asking for donations for his fundraiser event. Having adopted a senior Greyhound from the rescue and lost her about six months ago, Zoe is more than happy to help, and as she gets to know Nate, she finds a man who is much kinder and who has more depth than her ex. Although she thought she’d never allow herself to get involved with a man again, she quickly finds her heart becoming tangled up in their blooming relationship. But Zoe knows that Nate is planning to leave soon and keeps telling herself that she has to cut ties with him because it will hurt too much if he goes away and doesn’t come back. Zoe is a woman who was hurt in the past, but like others who’ve come to Conwenna, she finds healing in the little village. I could relate to her being a quieter, more private person, but I did feel like her holding back the entirety of her past from Nate for most of the story, kind of left a little distance between them. Then when she did come clean, it was mostly done off-canvas, which was rather disappointing. I know that she’d already told others about certain aspects of her previous life, but I thought it was a missed opportunity to deepen her relationship with Nate.

Forever at Conwenna Cove is a low-angst romance that has the heartwarming feel of wrapping up in a blanket on a cold, rainy day. There’s something to be said for comfort reads like this, but readers who like a little angst in their romance should know that although Nate and Zoe have some issues to work through, their story never reaches the euphoric highs or devastating lows of many romance novels. It’s just a sweet, feel-good story that has no on-page love scenes, just a little mild sexual tension. Darcie Boleyn has a languid writing style that fits in well with the slow-paced, small-town atmosphere of Conwenna Cove, and she’s rendered the town in such a way that it’s become a character unto itself. I’d love to visit this little seaside village and its Greyhound rescue if they actually existed. I also like Nate and Zoe and thought they made a good match. By the end, I could easily see them growing older, sitting on the porch of their cottage with Greyhounds at their feet, while their children play in the yard. I also enjoyed getting to catch up with Jack and Eve (Summer at Conwenna Cove) and Oli and Grace (Christmas at Conwenna Cove). They and the other villagers added a little flavor to the story. Overall, Forever at Conwenna Cove was a pleasant feel-good read that left me with a smile on my face. I’m guessing this is probably the end of the Conwenna Cove series, but if Ms. Boleyn decides to write any more books starring the village and its residents, I’d happily read them, and I look forward to checking out some of her other work, too.

DNF at 40%.

I love Darcie Boleyn's books and really enjoy the predictability of the romantic plots and the happy endings. She writes the kind of books that leave you fuzzy inside and feel like a hopeless romantic. The kind of book that cheers you up on a dreary day, or an easy read when you're lazing by the hotel pool. I've read a handful, and as I've read two others in the Conwenna Cove series I thought it would be nice to read this one. Unfortunately, I found 'Forever at Conwenna Cove' to be a carbon copy of the previous two books. Same plot, two hopeless romantics that have given up hope, with an obstacle or two in their way, eventually get together and live happily ever after. The characters are all the same as the previous books (which can get a little confusing, as having already read the first-person accounts from the other characters, it's confusing to read them as background characters and remember how they fit in), and with a little place like Conwenna Cove, not much changes. I had hope that there would be some vast differences in this book, as I also found the second book was far too similar to the first; unfortunately not. It feels like the same book has been written three times over with only the character names and life stories switched out. As much as I love Darcie's writing style, I'm already over this series now.

If you have never read a Darcie Boleyn novel, or one of the books from her ‘Conwenna Cove’ series, you are seriously missing out. Whilst I truly feel that ‘Forever at Conwenna Cove’ is the best book in the series, I am absolutely devastated that the series has now come to an end. How am I going to cope without my dose of the greyhound sanctuary, or the blindsiding details of Conwenna Cove itself? I’m not even joking when I say that it will be very difficult to come to terms with the conclusion of this series and, to be perfectly honest, I don’t think I’m ready to admit defeat on this. I would love to see Zoe and Nate reappear in another story later down the line, I really would.

Zoe has had her own fair share of hardships over the years, so when she claps eyes on local surfer heart throb, Nate, she is instantly reminded of the man who broke her heart into smithereens. Whilst Zoe admits that it isn’t Nate’s fault that he reminds her of her past, she can’t help feeling a little bit nostalgic. Should she re-open her heart to a man who she barely knows, yet has managed to make the Earth move just by looking at her? Or should she remain guarded over her past and never let a man near her again, especially if they’re a surfer dude?

Zoe’s past doesn’t come to light until later on in the book which meant that my mind went into overdrive thinking, ‘omg did she kill someone?’. There is a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between Zoe and Nate, but the way their paths connect was such a joy to read and would make even the most unromantic person turn romantic in a heartbeat. Trust me, I am said person!

‘Forever at Conwenna Cove’ was everything I could have wished for in a storyline and more. I giggled until my sides hurt, I ‘awwwwww’ed’ so many times, my dog thought I was about to give him some love, and I smiled until my cheeks hurt. It is incredible when a book can make you feel happy, cosy and settled, all within a short space of time and honestly, books like that are incredible special. I always knew that Darcie Boleyn was a cut above the rest in terms of her delivery of her storylines and wonderfully crafted characters, but ‘Forever at Conwenna Cove’ proves that this author is a lot more special than I had originally thought.

Whilst I am incredibly sad that this series has come to an end, I now feel complete after being on such a beautiful journey with Darcie Boleyn and her characters. This book is perfection and perfection alone – thanks to Zoe and Nate, I now have faith that the light at the end of the tunnel will turn on.

By far Darcie Boleyn’s best novel yet – beautifully written, inspiring, memorable and definitely one to watch out for. Outstanding.

I must say, I was so pleased to be back in Conwenna Cove – it is such a beautiful location to be taken away to, Darcie’s books are pure escapism!

Whilst Forever at Conwenna Cove is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone as each of the books focus on different characters. However, you are missing out on this wonderful series if you haven’t read Summer at Conwenna Cove and Christmas at Conwenna Cove.
Forever at Conwenna Cove introduces the reader to Zoe and Nate. Zoe has attempted to escape heartbreak by using her inheritance to buy a diner in Conwenna Cove which she is happily running…however, although she is loathe to admit it, she is incredibly lonely but has put huge barriers up to stop herself from getting hurt again.

Nate is a local surfer who has dreams of going travelling before its too late. He’s very loyal to Conwenna and his Auntie and Uncle but has decided it’s now or never to go travelling so makes the decision that he will head off in the summer once he has held a fundraiser for the local greyhound sanctuary….yes the greyhounds are back, more lovely four-legged friends to fall in love with! Nate was a bit of a ladies man whereby he was flighty with his liaisons so hasn’t really noticed Zoe properly before however that all changes when he asks her to help out with the fundraiser.
Darcie Boleyn’s writing is absolutely beautiful – I could actually visualise and hear the sights and sounds of Conwenna Cove, it is absolutely idyllic! As with her other books, Boleyn has a deeper story to tell than just ‘boy meets girl and they fall in love’ – the reader is privy to the different sides of the characters, the hurt that Zoe has experienced and the vulnerability of Nate when he realises that he is falling for Zoe. All of the characters are well-rounded – I absolutely adored Nate’s mother and the ease that she has with everyone she encounters.

As with Christmas at Conwenna Cove, the previous main characters do crop up but as a sideline to the main story – this brings an element of authenticity to the location given it isn’t very big so if Eve, Jack, Grace and Oli didn’t get a mention, it would be very odd! Also, its nice to get an update into their lives.

I cannot finish this review without mentioning the lovely greyhounds, another side of the story of Conwenna Cove is this lovely sanctuary that takes in ex-racing greyhounds who haven’t always been treated particularly well. Through the volunteering and fundraising of the characters and the adoptions throughout this series, we get to learn about the good things these sanctuaries do and how fabulous greyhounds are as pets!

To say I absolutely adored this beautiful book would still not being doing it justice! It is a stunning read and it is clear that Darcie Boleyn has put her heart and soul into every word on every page. At times I was laughing out loud and at others, feeling a little choked up.
Thank you, Darcie, for another wonderful trip to Conwenna Cove!

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Zoe is plodding along in life no friends, family or man dragged down by her history. Until she mates Nate who opens her eyes to love but he is planning on travelling the world. Can he persuade Zoe to make a go of it?

Reading the Conwenna Cove books is like meeting up with friends. I love their relationships and progress and this was a perfect read.

This is the fifth Darcie Boleyn novel I've listened to, and her books never fail to impress me.

Zoe is loving life in Conwenna Cove. She is the owner of a diner and adores her cottage and the laid-back way of life the small Cornish village offers. She feels lonely since her break up from Finn and misses her greyhound who was the only company she had until she passed away.

The local greyhound sanctuary is an important place for Zoe and when she meets Nate, a surfer who has a real reputation with women, she feels uneasy. Is Zoe ready to open her heart and love again? Can she trust Nate? When he asks for her help at the sanctuary, she has to decide.

Nate himself is very caring and open about everyone and everything he loves. He's close to his mother Paula, but restless. He wants to get away from Conwenna and travel far and wide. But can he leave?

Forever at Conwenna Cove is a tale of mixed loyalties and figuring out where your priorities lie in life and love and seeking happiness any way you can. It's set against the beautiful backdrop of the quaint village and beautiful beach in Conwenna Cove and we get to explore the haunts of the locals and the main characters in the book.

Darcie Boleyn takes us deep inside the characters' minds and lives and creates such realistic characters and surroundings that its hard to distinguish reality from fiction. I feel what the characters feel and experience when I listen to Darcie Boleyn's books and all this is what makes her books so memorable and addictive.

I was fighting with my emotions towards the end of the book. Both Nate and Zoe have had good and bad things happen their lives and I did not want this to end.

I can't praise this, and any other of Darcie Boleyn's books enough. They are pure raw emotion and 100% realistic.

I'm now proud to say I have listened to Summer at Conwenna Cove Christmas at Conwenna Cove Love at the Italian Lake and A Very Merry Manhattan Christmas as well as this one and would recommend all of them. Forever at Conwenna Cove is beautiful and I would love to see further adventures in Conwenna Cove as the place and people have captured my heart. Anyone who has ever been to Cornwall or the South-West of England will identify with the area's beauty and community spirit which shines through in every Conwenna Cove book.

I always give five stars to Darcie Boleyn's books as I love them so much. They are romantic, true-to-life, packed with emotions and strong characters as well as being flawlessly written so that the words flow around you and carry you along through the pages.

This feel-good read (and her other books) are definitely recommended reading.

Thanks to Darcie Boleyn and Canelo for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review and the chance to participate in the upcoming blog tour. I would love to listen to all of Darcie Boleyn's books.

This is the last book in the series and my word it's fantastic sad it's finished though as such a brilliant series. The book is very well written and has you hooked right till the very end. It's full of letting go of the past to move forward and of course plenty of romance and heartbreak. Such a heartwarming read and plenty about making new friends as well. Worth far more than the five stars and an amazingly brilliant read.
Zoe moved to conwenna cove to escape from her heartbreaking betrayal and she has a simple life with her village diner and helping at the greyhound sanctuary. She is juts happy with keeping herself to herself and then there is Nate who loves surfing but wants more from life and wants to go travelling. Before he goes he wants to have a fundraising event to help the greyhound sanctuary. He starts talking with Zoe and organ in general the fund raising event and they both start having feelings for each other and Nate can't believe he's not seen her before now. Can Zoe move forward from the past and trust again or not. She does realise that her heart skips a beat when she sees Nate but is unsure what to do. Nate goes to see his mother and learns her partner is in money troubles and he says he will cancel his trip travelling to help her but she refuses. She turns up on his doorstep as the house is reprocessed and because his place is so small Zoe offers to have her staying at hers. His mother can see that Zoe and Nate are very happy together but are both trying to fight it so she tries to pull them together. The day of the fundraising event comes and when Zoe sees someone from her past will she be able to cope or will it effect everything and can there be a future between Zoe and Nate or not.
Perfect summer read.

I have only just finished reading this book and I am still basking in its lovely, warm, uplifting glow. Despite the fact that the tentative improvement in the weather seems to be over here for now, I’m feeling a summery optimism.

This book tells the story of vulnerable Zoe, rebuilding her life after being badly let down by people she trusted and determined not to let anyone hurt her that way again, and Nate, equally determined to live life to the full and not end up with any regrets at not chasing his dreams. Despite their reservations, Zoe and Nate are pulled together over the course of a summer in Conwenna Cove, and must decide if they will give in to their mutual attraction, or let their pasts and their fears keep them apart. The story is set in the chocolate box village of Conwenna Cove on the Cornish coast.

So far, so predictable, I hear you say, but you would be quite wrong. This book is very different from anything I have read recently and that is entirely down to the very clever writing and character development by Darcie. I’m not sure exactly how to convey what makes this book feel different, except to say that the author has a very light and sympathetic touch. I fell in love with the characters immediately, they are well-rounded and believable, complete with flaws and insecurities, but totally likeable. The plot is gripping – I was desperate to keep reading and know how it was going to end – but it was also very gentle without any of the twists and huge issues that often get shoehorned into modern novels just because that seems to be how it done. This is a very down-to-earth, every day, personal drama that could be played out in any household across the country on a daily basis, but done in a way that is extremely compelling and rich.

The setting is beautiful – I for one can’t get enough of books set by the coast – with just enough description to make it come to life but not so much that it drags. It is very well-balanced.

The novel is narrow, and I mean this in a very positive way. It doesn’t have a cast of thousands. It is focused and tight, homing in on the relationship between two people that really pulls out the intensity of those personal feelings we all recognise and can sympathise with. It is refreshing and made it stand out for me exactly for the gentle nature of the drama that might seem small to the outside world but is of vital importance to the central characters. It is totally authentic and, for that reason, very relatable to everyone.

I hadn’t realised that this was actually the third book that the author has set in Conwenna Cove when I began to read it and I have not read the previous two. However, although there was some mention of characters that were obviously central to the previous novels, this works perfectly as a standalone and not having read them did not detract from my enjoyment of this one bit. What it did do was make me want to read the previous two immediately, and I have now downloaded them to my Kindle. I really look forward to reading more by this author.

This is a wonderful book, as warm and sweet as a dairy ice-cream on a Cornish summer day but not at all sickly. Go on, treat yourself to this book, you deserve it.

Zoe Russell's has been surviving for the last years, trying not to feel anything in case someone breaks her heart again... So when Nate Bryson calls at her door asking for help for a dog fundraiser, she knows that her heart has started beating again, will she be able to face all her fears and love again?
Nate has dreamed to travel around the world since his childhood, now is the moment to make his dream come true, but after meeting Zoe everything will change... Will he trade his dream for love?

This had been a sweet love story, how to resurface like a phoenix when everything fails around you and how to start loving again even if you are terrified of doing so. This story shows us how Zoe and Nate will have to confront their fears and doubts if they want the chance to have something together. I will never say that is easy, but the first step to a relation is trust, and Zoe is not a trusting person...
Zoe is scared to love, but she has motives, her past is not something that she will forget easily, but with good friends and someone that really appreciates her, she could start healing... I have to say I didn't like very much her character, I am not sure why, but I didn't really connect with her, she will try to start healing, but it was more like she wanted to be alone...
On the other side, Nate seems a good guy, trusty and kind, he is ready to do everything to start a relation with Zoe, even to forget his dream, but is Zoe worth the sacrifice?
I can not say I didn't enjoy the read, it was a quick read and tender, perfect to enjoy on a sunny day near the beach to feel in connection with the story, and ready to feel loved...
How about a trip to the coast?

In this book, we return to Conwenna Cove, my favourite fictional holiday resort! This time we are introduced to Zoe with a secret past that she is coming to terms with but who has found sanctuary in the little village. As the owner of the local diner, and a lover of greyhounds, the story starts with Zoe grieving for the loss of her rescue dog, Raven.

Local surfer Nate wants to experience life before it’s too late. He wants to surf the waves in Oz and see the world. With a reputation as a lady’s man, when he teams up with Zoe to organise a fun raising event for the local greyhound sanctuary, she keeps him at arm’s length, but destiny has other ideas.

I am a massive fan of this series of books, because each one feels like a holiday. The descriptions in the book are fantastic, and really lift off the page, this isn’t a travelogue, it’s a story told from the heart.

As for the characters you really do root for them. I loved Zoe and could see myself and her sitting on the bench outside her cottage chatting about life with an ice cold glass of wine in my hand, as the sun set over the cove.

When I picked up this book to read it, I said to my other half “I’m off on holiday for a few days!” and when the initial shock wore off, and he realised that I was talking about a Conwenna Cover story, he laughed, nodded and said “Send me a postcard.” The wonderful thing? I got to go on holiday without sitting in hours of traffic, without getting sand in my suitcase, and when I got back home I didn’t have piles and piles of holiday washing!

This book reads well as a standalone, even though there are previous books in the series, which I haven't read. It's a gentle-paced, romantic read, full of friendly characters and the setting's beautiful imagery.

Zoe runs the local dinner at Conwenna Cove; she's dedicated her life to it, since settling in the cove after a disastrous marriage. Unwilling to face any more rejection and low in self-esteem she is slow in making friends but does befriend a rescue greyhound who she gives all her love, only to lose her.
Nate escaped to the cove when his father died suddenly, working at his paternal uncle's cafe he comes to terms with his grief and feels able to restart his life. Despite their, emotional baggage Nate and Zoe connect, but with one leaving and other scared to have her heartbroken is their love only a beautiful dream?

The plot is predictable, but the characters are authentic and make it worthwhile reading, with a beautifully written conclusion.

I received a copy of this book from Canelo via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

As in the other Conwenna Cove books, it is the setting and those wonderful rescue greyhounds which steal the show. There is such a healing vibe in all the descriptions of the villageand it seems to be somewhere to go to feel at home and accepted. As a community, it holds together well as typified in the chapter where there is a village event in aid of the greyhound charity and all the village turns out to pool resources and work together.

This novel turns the spotlight on Nate and Zoe who are both eminently likeable characters. You see Zoe trying to come to terms with difficulties from her past. There is romance in abundance and a real feelgood touch to their story as they both edge around their feelings for each other. Zoe's insecurities and lack of self esteem make her into a more rounded character and it is easy to accept that Paula, Nate's mother, takes a liking to her from the off.

In short: a perfect book to lose yourself in - prepare for some great romance.

Thanks to the author for a copy of the book.

My third and final visit to Conwenna Cove.

As with the previous two books, it was an absolute delight, I actually wish this series could just run and run.

Although this is the third book, reading it as a standalone would be no problem, as there is plenty of background info about the characters that have featured before.

Zoe Russell has made Conwenna Cove her haven, she has a cottage, she owns the local diner, and volunteers at the greyhound sanctuary.
It all she wants and needs right now, after a devastating betrayal.

Nate Bryson, wants to leave Conwenna Cove and his reputation as a ladies man behind to travel the world, but not before, he raises more funds for the greyhound sanctuary.

Nate who cannot believe that he and Zoe, have never crossed paths before, decided to enlist Zoe to help this charity event, and Zoe realises there is much more to Nate than meets the eye.I

Can two seemingly totally different people really have a future and be happy together.

This whole series has been captivating, I absolutely can't wait to read more by this wonderful author.

Zoe has been living in Conwenna Bay for a couple of years running her diner but having moved there after a lot of heartache she has kept herself to herself......that is until Nate walks into her life! Nate helps run the café with his aunt and uncle and is a real ladies man surfer dude but when he goes to ask Zoe for sponsorship for the fund raising event he is putting on for the greyhound sanctuary he suddenly sees Zoe in a different light......but he is about to go off on a round the world trip so that can be no future for them can there?

A lovely easy read - great to be back with all the characters from the previous books - perfect for the beach and I would definitely recommend the whole series

Loved this story

This is the third book in this mini series and it didn't disappoint.
Loved the characters of this story and how it developed and it kept you guessing right to the end.
Enjoyed the involvement of the greyhounds in this story too.
It centres around Zoe who owns a diner in Conwenna Cove who following a bad relationship is reluctant to get involved with anyone else. Then there is Nate who works in a cafe owned by his uncle and aunt.
Despite both living in Conwenna Cove they never really got to know each other.
The story is how their relationship grows slowing and how they discover more about themselves and each other.
Thoroughly recommend this story and the whole mini series. 5/5 for me .

This is book 3 of 3 to the Conwenna Cove series, but they can be read as standalone.

This has been a delightful story, from start to finish.

The author draws you right in to the story pretty quickly with meeting and getting to know all of the characters and experiencing the beautiful setting and location, was so very easy to lose myself in this story.

As for the storyline, it was brilliant, lots going on from one character to another. It was so very well written, plus a few emotional moments thrown in that I wasn't expecting, just so heartfelt.

Oh and this review wouldn't be complete unless the adorable greyhounds got a mention as they do play a very important role within the story and I loved them all.

I'd read the other books in this series so was looking forward to this book and it didn't disappoint.

Set in Conwenna Cove, Nate is organising a fundraiser for the greyhound sanctuary, surfing included in the programme. Lucy runs the diner and agrees to help as she's recently lost the greyhound she was fostering.

Unbeknowns to Nate Lucy had an accident whilst surfing which knocked her confidence so she's apprehensive. She spends time with Nate and they grow closer together but Nate wants to travel.

You don't need to have read the other books in the series to read this as it is a standalone story.

This was a lovely, entertaining, well written, heartwarming story about two young people who reside in Conwenna Cove in Cornwall, England. The descriptions of the town and the scenery are wonderful. The characters are all delightful. I found this to be a supremely enjoyable book which I very strongly recommend. I loved it so much that as soon as I finished this one, I bought the first book in the series, Summer At Conwenna Cove, and started it right away. It is also a great read. Darcie Boleyn is my new favorite author and I really hope she is working on another book in this series.

It was lovely to catch up with some characters from Christmas at Conwenna Cove as well as to meet new ones. There were some lovely descriptions of Cornwall as you might expect as the backdrop to Zoe and Nate's romance. I found this book slightly more formulaic than the previous one but enjoyable nonetheless - the perfect summer escape.

I have just finished this book. What a wonderful read. Lost in the streets of a fictious Cornish village, this delightful and easy read will leave you feeling, slightly frustrated at the main character Zoe. However, most women would be able to relate to her story in some way or another. You can't help but feel empathy towards her and Nate as they both negotiate the trauma of their past lives.
