Lena is part of an ancient tribe tasked for eons to protect the forces of light.

For generations warriors have given their lives to protect the secret of a magical object capable of shifting the balance of light and dark on earth. For just as long, the enemy has scoured the far reaches of the planet searching for it.

They found it.

The race to secure the object of power first is on. The enemy will kill anyone who stands in its way. It will reach through time to extinguish every incarnation of the light warriors.

Lena and her twin must link to an ancient time when magic was real. Because if they don't... the protectors of humanity will perish. And darkness will reign over the world.

Beyond Amber is the fast-paced continuation to The Light Warriors series, which melds past, present, and future, and reveals what can happen when destiny and love are strong enough to survive death.

Lucía Ashta believes in magic, laughter, and happily-ever-afters. She loves writing fierce heroines who wield witty comebacks as adeptly as their swords, and the warriors who slay their enemies alongside them. The camaraderie of found family, kooky magical creatures, and dragons—lots of dragons—also enrich Lucía’s many stories. She lives with her family in the forest nestled in the mountains, where she dreams up fantastical worlds and hopes to someday journey to them.

World building is extraordinary!

It is noted that this is a visionary fantasy and that is certainly true for the world building in this book is extraordinary. The reader is transported to a place and time long ago but is paralleled with modern day. Anuk and Asara are ancient Light Warriors, a fulfillment of ancient prophecy, whereas Lena and Paolo are the modern day Light Warriors reincarnate. We also get a brief glimpse of another incarnation of these Light Warriors. However, darkness is not far from them and seeks to thwart the light for its power. As I read this book I was astounded at the imagination Ms. Ashta must have put in to creating this series. She has an unbelievable talent for putting creativity to paper. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Asara & Anak, Lena & Paolo. Two souls inhabitants of different bodies,Then and now.
There's a new prophecy that is being lived out in the past and the present.
"Master of the isle will follow the stars to it. Master of the forest will cradle it, hidden in the womb of the earth. With the golden ones, it can open the pyramids to unknown worlds. But be wary of the dark crow. If he succeeds, the world will suffer the fury of sunless night."
To find out what this means you have to read this book and the ones before and after.
Ms. Ashta has a way to bring to life other worlds with her words.

I’m in a hospital and asked my husband to post this since I don’t have the time or ability right now to do better - even though the book definitely deserves it.

Bottom line: Beyond Amber, the third of Lucía Ashta’s The Light Warriors novels, is wonderful and easily worth five stars. This was one truly fun novel and definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted, was well written, with excellent world building and a great plot. I simply adored its lead Lens, and cast of supporting characters were simply superb. What more could one ask for?

Highly recommended, with the caveat that while you could read this standalone you’re much better starting off from book 1 of the series.

Just one word describes this. Awesome
This series gets better as it progresses with each of the twins realising their true potential. It is a constant battle with good against evil, light against dark. The evil is there always waiting to pounce. This continuing story of love and light battling with dark and evil is enchanting and empowering always giving hope when all seems lost. Full of nature and its wonders. Power in the elements. Still one of the best fantasy series around. Cant wait for the last in the series. Fingers crossed that love wins out.
