They’re getting the band back together. And this time it’s serious nonsense.
Things are pretty far from OK. King Kong ain’t got nothing on Frank’s new mentor who’s taking him through an Arilion Knight’s crucible. And the Hans Gruber of the universe is trying to wipe out taco Tuesdays (along with all of life’s great celebrations).
Gateway to the Galaxy Book 2 features the preposterousness of Guardians of the Galaxy and swims in a pool of ridiculously epic space battles the likes of Tech Mage.

I'm Jonathan, a husband, father, and writer. I write because that's what I was born to do and I love doing it. Because of the support from awesome people like you, I get to do it full-time.
Thnx once again for gifting me this to read, enjoyed as per usual. Found it an extremly quick read, story-line was very good, smooth writing which flowed well which made it a nice book to snuggle into. I devoured the whole series in couple of hours, loving every minute.
Loads of action, not too much violence; none that would make you squemish anyway.
so, highly recommend this seres if you are a fan of Jonathans or just into sci-fi, cos you will definitely be wanting more n bk2 doesn't disappoint in the slightest. it's full of surprises, with loads more action than bk1 had; this might be the death of you as you don't want to come out. so snuggle down, hold on tight, you're going in for a hell of a ride/read, Def going to wear you out. Another book well done n I can't wait for the next installment.
The crew and fast is becoming a well oiled machine. The General is the foundation stone that holds them steady despite his inner pain, he is dedicated to the cause no matter what. Sava is the fierce warrior who leads the charge, uncompromising in her integrity. The Empress is regal, a caring strong leader, she will not back down and is ready to fight for the light, yet has a naive, yet adorable aspect in her interactions with Frank and his antics. They compliment each other's characters. Frank, well Frank is a compilation of my favorite make characters, yet still his own unique self! His snark and confidence has John Criton written all over it, his goofiness...Han Solo, his boyish charm and ability win others over to it ( the charm) that's the Captain of the Firefly! This is a great story to be immersed in. I think it would make a good movie or series like Farscape or Firefly.
Poor Frank and the few marines left after there run in with the forces of Chaos! A crazy woman has just followed them through the Gateway and, after blowing their defenses into so much scrap metal, has told them that they have to go back to her planet with her to help defend it. Sava, a Draconian, is also an Arilion Knight who believes in getting people's attention! It takes Frank a while to convince everyone that she is indeed an ally! They eventually agree that everyone needs to get cleaned up, rest and eat before going anywhere. There's also the fact that they lost people and should replace them but that doesn't come up. So, they go off to Draconia while Heron returns to Atmos to rally the Neeve to also send troops. Not as good as Into the Breach but still good fun.
Giving five stars is something I have rarely done for any book, but this one has everything that I enjoy, good VS evil, winning over incredible odds, sci-fi that doesn't take itself too seriously, humor and the start of a romance or two. If you like sci-fi at all then you will like this book. However it would be a whole lot better if you read the first one in the series first, it sure anyone could catch up with what's going on otherwise. Speaking of the continuation of the first book one thing I really liked was the fact that the story continued into the second book as if you were starting a new chapter instead of several months later when a lot of stuff happened you were unaware of.
So Mr. Yanez you surprise me with this wonderful piece of pulp sci-fi, it reminds me of the stuff I read back in the late 60's or early 70's . I really enjoy the humor you added to the story line along with the serious kill all the bad guy's stuff. Very good reading and never a dull moment is an understatement. You even had room to add some pretty funny romantic scenes which I thought were great, so keep up the good work and of course I will keep reading.
Frank learns more about being an Arilion Knight as Sava, another Knight, trains him. Will his feelings for Vega blossom? Will they survive the upcoming fight with the Lord Of Chaos's? I like the action, humor, and relationships romantic and otherwise. I look forward to the next book.
I am enjoying the voice this series has; so different from the other series. Marvelous characters and descriptions of alien races. Looking forward to more galaxy protectors and allies. Thoroughly enjoying this adventure.
