Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
Overall, this was a bit boring. I felt like Emmett was a coward. He let another guy take his girl and never stepped up not even after he caught the guy cheating on her several times. He joins the military and leaves her to marry the other loser. Do you feel the love?
I was also angry he never told her he knew about Jason cheating on her. I felt it should have been addressed. She stayed with a man for years who cheated on her and even after she found out she still stayed. Her excuse is she stayed for the daughter. All she did was give her daughter more time to get attached to the idea of a father she'd never have cause he was never going to stop hooking up with other women and leaving the daughter.
The story (My First Love) was interesting enough to hold my attention initially, but the drastic changes in the characters' personalities and their decisions made it hard to follow. I felt like the author was trying to give the story some drama but then gives up halfway... every time. Autumn's father was described as being a cold, uninvolved father who expects his daughter to sacrifice her social life, including motherhood, to run their family business. Out of the blue, he shows up at the mall to spend time with his granddaughter and daughter... all because Autumn told him to tell his granddaughter he loves her himself? Not like Autumn hasn't said that in the last 6-7 years and there was no momumental event caused that he had an epiphany! He also thought so poorly of Emmett... How could his opinion change after only a few hours of talking? Or the fact that Jason, the ex-husband, wanted to give them a hard time about being with each other but ended up backing off completely without a fight? How was it possible that Emmett and Jason were best friends when it was apparent that Emmett has no respect for the guy...ever? His loyalties obviously lies with Autumn so I am confused as to why he wouldn't talk her out of marrying a guy who's cheated on her THREE times before they even got engaged... just as a "best" friend! It doesn't make much sense...
Overall I liked this book. Emmett and Autumn were friends. He was in love with her and let her marry another guy. When he gets back to town 10 years later he finds out that she is now single. This time he makes sure that they get the happy ending they should've had before.
I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this second chance romance between Emmett and Autumn. Autumn and Emmett were best friends since they were small children and when Autumn started dating Jason, Emmett never told her how he felt about her because he wanted her to be happy. Jason repeatedly cheated on Autumn and Emmett warned him to treat her better, so Jason asked Autumn to marry him. When Autumn's father couldn't be at the wedding because of work, Emmett walked Autumn down the aisle. Emmett then left for the marines and was gone for 10 years. Autumn and Jason eventually divorced after their daughter Penelope was born. Emmett was shot in the chest and was sent back to the states in a coma, not expected to live. When Emmett woke, he learned it was his estranged brother who requested him being brought back to the states. Emmett tried to reach out to his brother, but Paul was angry and hesitant. Autumn saw Emmett's picture in the paper about waking from his coma and decides to go see him. When Emmett sees Autumn, he knows he still loves her. When he learns of the divorce, he wants to be with her. When Emmett is released from the hospital, Autumn offers her guest house as a place for Emmett to live. Autumn is hoping to show Emmett she loves him and they can be together. I loved this story and thought Penelope was adorable. Emmett was a great father to her and a great guy for Autumn. It was great seeing them reconnect. Another great one from Weston.
My First Love is the 4th Wes Parker book I’ve read. For the most part I’ve enjoyed his stories even though they have a sort of “paint by number template for modern romance story” feel to them. Its not as if most other modern romance authors don’t follow the same template in the arc of their stories. Maybe they're just a bit more creative which leaves the story feeling less formulaic? In this book we have Emmett and Autumn who have been life long friends. As the story opens Autumn, fresh out of high school is about to marry her long time (often unfaithful boyfriend) Jason. And Emmett who considers Jason his 2nd best friend after Autumn has agreed to walk her down the aisle because her father is too busy working to bother attending his only child’s wedding. Why Emmett, (a really good guy) is Jason’s BFF when Jason appears to have no redeeming values and apparently has treated Autumn so poorly during their dating history is fairly inexplicable. Autumn’s gut is telling her she’s doing the wrong thing and she looks to her BFF Emmett to confirm her intuition. Why Autumn is so desperate to marry Jason that she’ll forgive his transgressions when she’s really in love with Emmett anyway doesn’t make much sense to me either. It’s not as if she’s blinded by love for Jason. She expects Emmett the same friend she’s really in love with but never wanted to tell him for fear it would wreck their special friendship to save her from herself? Why does she need someone to tell her not to marry this guy when she knows he’s already cheated on her 3 times and they’re not even married yet? Why the rush to get married when the ink on their high school diplomas is barely dry and she’s planning on attending college? None of this makes any sense even for a modern romance novel plot. Now we move forward 10 years. Emmett has been in the Marines and is now back home and being medically discharged after being seriously wounded in Afghanistan. Autumn and Jason are divorced after producing Penelope now 6 years old. Oh, and despite the three of them all having been BFFs before the wedding and Emmett leaving for the Marines, none of them have stayed in touch at all over the past decade. No cards or letters, no emails, no phone calls, nothing. Very strange way to treat your best friends. And Autumn is still carrying a little bit of attitude towards Emmett for abandoning her to run off and join the Marines and start his own life. You know because even though she married another man he was supposed to stick around and be her support system. So now after seeing his picture and story in the local newspaper informing her Emmett is back home in a local hospital, Autumn rushes to see Emmett. Apparently being ten years older Autumn having gone through college, motherhood a divorce and Emmett nearly being killed, hasn’t made either of these two any wiser because they’re still in love with one another and still dancing around that fact, waiting for the other to make the first move. Is it possible 6 year old Penelope is the only character in this story with any common sense? After blowing a golden opportunity to reveal her true feelings to Emmett, Autumn later gathers herself and goes to him and tells him how she’s always wanted him. Emmett of course responds in kind and they do what both have been dreaming about doing since they were teenagers and have mind blowing multi-orgasmic sex. Things are going along well in the story and despite my earlier reservations over some of the implausibility of the early plot line I’m enjoying watching Autumn, Emmett and Penelope growing closer and becoming a family. Even knowing it’s much too early in the story for them to have their H.E.A. I’m getting happy feels and starting to enjoy the book. Then the author gives Emmett a major brain cramp. Now Emmett has spent most of his life regretting that he let Jason steal the only girl/woman he’s ever loved from him. Against all odds he finally has her. She’s told him how Jason had done her and their daughter wrong and how much she dislikes him and how she's always wanted Emmett. Despite all this when Jason tries to poison Emmett’s relationship with Autumn he doubts her love for him and is ready to give up on them just as he had when he was a kid. Why is he so quick to think Autumn is ready to dump him to reconcile with Jason and why isn’t he willing to fight for them and the future he’s spent the past 15 years pining for? Does he really deserve Autumn? Okay, I knew that the couple would have to face a test or two of their love before they got to their H.E.A. but really, Emmett is just going to walk away from Autumn and Penelope because of a few words from a guy he knows doesn’t have an honest bone in his body? Like much of the early plot line this just didn’t make any sense to me. Of course, as any loving couple does Emmett and Autumn work it out, have great make up sex and their relationship moves forward. But again we’re only about half way through the story so you know there’ll be more trials to come. Another thing that just didn’t make any sense to me was Autumn’s father’s change of heart to suddenly become the father and grandfather he should be. Not that he shouldn’t, but what exactly brought about a total 180 degree change in the guy? What caused his sudden “come to Jesus” moment? One minute he’s still the same “cares only about his business” A-hole he’s been his entire life and the next he’s a loving father and grandfather. There really needed to be a pivotal moment in the plot that brings about this change beyond Autumn just telling him to tell Penelope himself that he loves her. And lastly there’s the world’s absolutely longest epilogue which is literally the final 25% of the book. Perhaps Mr. Parker doesn’t quite understand the concept of what an epilogue is? It’s the part where all the drama has been overcome and the couple has their H.E.A. not fifty pages where they’re still trying to get out of their own way to get to it because they still haven’t learned how to really communicate. Emmett has a big career decision to make but doesn’t really clue Autumn in to what that is. Autumn has a major surprise for Emmett but she fumbles the ball, because like Emmett with his deal, she beats around the bush and gets mixed signals and is afraid to lay it out there for him. And here’s something else I don’t get. Emmett is afraid to take the job offer because it might mean too much of a demand on his time and keep him away from Autumn and Pen. I get that. But Autumn is the second highest ranking official in the company. If she can handle her job and still find the time to be a wife and mother why would his new position be any more demanding of his time than hers? Just saying. I wanted to like this book. I wanted to be able to give it at least 3 stars. But there’s just so much in this story that IMHO defies logic even for the genre, I just can’t.

## Ugh. This was difficult to finish. Right off the bat I lost all respect for this heroine. She's in love with the hero, yet she's marrying another guy that has cheated on her repeatedly. They broke up several times during their senior year because of it, yet she still marries him. I get that she was hesitant to tell the hero her real feelings because she didn't want to ruin their close friendship, but why get married? At 18 no less. And that's just the beginning of this very dull story. This couple has zero chemistry. Zilch, nada, nix. And Emmett is definitely NOT a bad boy like the title suggests. Sorry, I can't recommend this book. I could barely finish it myself.
Emmett loved Autumn had known each other virtually their whole lives as their families were next door neighbours and they became the best of friends. Then Jason's family moves to town and he becomes part of their friendship. he's the one that asks Autumn to date [not Emmett :( ]. Emmett is broken hearted when She and Jason marry, Emmett even walking her down the aisle, even though he knows that Jason is a cheating rat bag. Emmett and Autumn don't declare their feelings for one another as they're not sure the other has the same feelings. So Emmett joins the marines and leaves but not a day dawns without him thinking of her. meanwhile Autumn and Jason have had a gorgeous sweet little girl called Penny but she is also heartbroken when her parents divorce because of his repeated infidelities. Emmett is badly wounded in Afghanistan and his brother asks for him to be brought home as they're not sure whether he will survive. The local newspaper prints the story with pics of the local hero back home and Autumn knows that she must go and see him as she still loves him too. There has been so much 'water under the bridge' but these two wonderful people deserve a chance at real love. Weston Parker has penned an amazing story here for us that will pull at your heart strings. I'm pleased that Jason didn't really appear much in the story as I disliked him intensely. Please get yourself a copy of this book as has been written with such caring, emotional feeling or how love can survive the years and the wait is always well worth it. There are some twists in the storyline that I did wonder whether Emmett and Autumn would get together but I was so happy to read the ending. Weston is a terrific author that knows how to create a unique storyline with , mostly, amazing characters that you grow to love throughout the book. My attention was caught right at the beginning and maintained it right through to the end just as all good books do.
I received a readers copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.
Autumn and Emmett had know each other most of their lives. They were neighbors, best friends and so much more. Somewhere along the way Jason Adams moved to town and became a part of their pack and in so doing, altered their relationship. Jason and Autumn dated in high school and the summer of graduation they married. Emmett was crushed. In order to deal with the pain, he joined the army to get away from seeing them together.
Ten years have passed and there has been no communication between them but not a day went by that Emmett didn't think about her. During that time, Autumn and Jason divorced while Emmett was serving his country in Afghanistan. That's when life took a sharp turn. Emmett was critically wounded. Because his injuries were life threatening, his brother asked that he be brought home to Raleigh. A front page article about his heroism alerted Autumn about his arrival and this is where the story really begins.
The book is filled with situations that are all to real, touching, and emotional and you will have a front row seat to see what their lives have entailed and about how they deal with the results. If you are like me, you will shed a tear or two, and find you heart so full you will want to send a thank you note to the author for presenting such a remarkable story about man and his journey through life. And somewhere along the way you will be reintroduced to his friends, family and others from his home town and the emotional journey will stay with you for a long time.
This is not a quick read...but it is a wonderful story filled with endearing characters and some might easily want to forget...and in the end a real five star story. I received a reader copy and have already alerted my friends about this one. It's a keeper.

ARC Received from the Author for a Voluntary and Honest Review. Than you, Weston! I also got the book with KU.
I have to say, this book📕 made me very emotional when Autumn💋👰 married Jason. I felt Emmett🐺 slipping away from her forever, even as he escorted her down the aisle and gave her hand to Jason. So sad.... Weston certainly knows how to write an emotional💔 and very romantic💕 book📕!
This published version also includes three of his other five 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟📚books, Captain Hotness, Mister Big Stuff, and Doctor Feelgood! Happy XXX Romance 📚reading, guaranteed!
This is an emotional, gripping five star read by Weston and Ali Parker about Emmett, who barely survives his tour in Afghanistan and is returned to his home state when his distant brother requested his transfer for a family hardship case. He wakes from a three week coma to discover, Autumn, his first and only love there at the hospital to see him. He hasn’t seen her in ten year’s since he gave her away at her wedding to his friend 10 years earlier. She is now divorced from her husband, Jason, and is the mother to a precious girl, Penelope, who Emmett immediately adores. Autumn helps Emmett with a place to live and a job as these two find a way into each other’s arms, much to the disgust of her ex, who neither wants her unless his old buddy wants her, just as he did when they were young. Jason stomped all over Autumn in their marriage by cheating on her and also has rejected a relationship with his dear, sweet daughter Penelope. It’s such a heart wrenching story of a a deep, smoldering love, heartbreak, and an emotional roller coaster ride that I had to read through my tears at times. It’s also a story of a Autumn’s strength and courage to learn to speak up for herself as she finally is able to command the love and respect of her father as she and Emmitt learn to communicate their shared love for one another.
A well written second chance romance with nice storyline and plot. The characters are well described and develops nicely through the story. Their chemistry is amazing and hot. I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The twists makes you just want to read more. Emmett and Autumn were in grade school together. Emmett fell in love with Autumn and in spite of her marrying his best friend, he always loved her and noone else. Nothing changed. He would go to hell to help her. Emmett leaves to join the Marine and Autumn is left with a cheating husband and feelings for Emmett. She gets a divorce from Jason. Emmett is wounded and goes into coma. He is returned to the local hospital. No more spoilers here! The story has humour, sadness, passion, drama, action, heartbreak, regrets, chemistry, love, attraction, making decisions, trust and emotional up and downs in it. The use of words that Weston Parker has just captivated me in the story and I had to finish it in one setting. WP writes in a way that you are there with the characters and feel everything with them.
Absolutely a five star story that I can recommend if you like romances.
LOVE Weston Parker! My First Love took me on an emotional ride that made me cry one minute and laugh out loud the next. Autumn and Emmett have been best friends since they were children. As they grew older, their feelings changed and deepened, but both were afraid to tell the other of their true feelings. Autumn marries Emmett's best friend right out of high school, and Emmett enlists in the Marines. Ten years later, Autumn is divorced with a cute little girl, and Emmett has been injured and sent home. Autumn and Emmett reconnect and realize their feelings for each other haven't changed over the years. While Emmett and Autumn explore their new relationship, Emmett tries to reconnect with younger brother and repair their relationship. Can Emmett and Autumn make the most of their second chance at love? Will Scott, Autumn's ex, put doubts in Emmett's mind? Can Emmett and his brother repair their relationship? I loved My First Love by Weston Parker. My First Love is an amazing book with well developed characters and an emotional story line that will keep the reader engrossed from the beginning to the end. HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting My First Love by Weston Parker. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I would give this book 3.5 stars. A romantica love story between best friends Emmet and Autumn, but not your typical best friends love story. The book starts with Emmett giving away his best friend Autunm to his other best friend Jason. Emmett loves Autumn but he is under the belief that she only has eyes for Jason, even though he has never been faithful to her. Autumn marries Jason because she is under the belief that Emmett does care for her the way she cares for him. Plus she thinks that if Jason were really bad, then Emmett would not let her marry him. Ten years later, Emmett is back but only because he was injured during a blitz attack while in the military. They are both thinking that now is their chance to finally come clean about how they really feel towards each other. Jason and Autumn are now divorced and Emmett has to decide not only what he going to do with his life but also if he can repair his relationship with his brother. When they finally declare their feelings, passion explosed between them but then Jason tries to interfere and causes miscommunication between Autumn and Emmett. Once the misunderstanding are cleared up, Emmett has his work cut out for him to convince Autumn that they belong to each other forever
rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. we meet Emmett and Autumn, best friends since they were little. Emmett is walking Autumn down the aisle to marry his other bff Jason while her father is sy work. Emmett has always loved Autimn and he missed his chance to tell her how he felt and hes leaving....for the military. fast forward 10 yrs and Autumn divorced Jaso for cheating but she got a beautiful daughter Penelope out of it. she works for her workaholic father at the family company. Emmett is talking with his buddy when explosions go off and the next thing he knows his world goes black. 2 wks weeks later he wakes up in a hospital, lucky to be alive. Autumn noticed the paper and sees Emmett is a war hero and awoke from a coma. she's always had a soft spot for Emmett and decides to visit him. Emmett is shocked to see Autumn in his hospital room and she's more beautiful than ever. she introduces him to her daughter and invites him to stay with then after hes released. will Emmett and Autumn reveal their true feelings? will Jason come back to cause trouble? will autumn have to sacrifice her happiness for her career?
Worth more than 5 stars.... Loved it, I felt their connection from the very first page until the very end and brings the reader into their struggles, their heartbreak and their love even with the ex husband shows up and causes problems, their love pulls them through until their paths are right back on course. Her father started out as an a$$ but after Autumn put him in his place after years of being a deadbeat/ absentee dad he finally sees his errors. Emmett has held his love close for a decade even after his tragic event didn’t stop him from trying to reach out to his baby brother Paul, even when Paul tried to push Emmett away, Emmett pushed back with love and rightness. Autumn has love one boy but also his best friend but I felt like Jason felt the need to do one better over Emmett no matter what he felt for his ‘friends’, and being with the only girl Emmett ever loves and married her Jason will have ‘his cake and the free milk’ behind his wife’s back, and does rub it in too. Autumn’s heartache started from the first chapter and will end until Emmett is fully by her side but the obstacles in their paths will test their love and their families until their HEA from duel POV.
My First Love represents that sweetness of first crush, first love and finally that everlasting relationship that finally happens when you least expect it. Emmett and Autumn grew up together and were best friends. He was her greatest confidant, protector and first love. She was his best friend, family, and he has always loved her. Emmett was always willing to do anything to make Autumn happy, even sacrificing his own happiness to make her happy when she married someone else. Emmett joins the Marines and leaves home, thinking Autumn is happily marrried. When circumstances have Emmett returning home from a life threatening injury he finds out that her married was doomed from the start and ended badly. Can this be their time to finally have their chance together?
A very sweet story!! Loved Emmett and Autumn together and their story is so touching and heartwarming. Different from other books I’ve read by Weston Parker but I found that the sweetness of the story kept me turning the page and rooting for them to finally find their story together
This second chance love story will grab you and not let you put it down until you finish the last page. Autumn and Emmett grew up together and were best friends. They both secretly cared more about each other, but let their fears interfere with discovering if they could have a romantic relationship. Autumn marries right out of high school to Emmett's best friend - he even gives her away at their wedding. Needing to start his own life, Emmett joins the Marines. He comes home after an injury and he and Autumn reconnect. She has since been divorced and has a wonderful young daughter. The dynamics between all of the characters is amazing. Their growth and how everyone becomes a real family is amazing. Read this book to discover if Emmett and Autumn can finally have their HEA. I received an advanced readers copy of this book, but loved it so much I purchased it too. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

If you are a fan of second chance romance stories that pull at your heartstrings from the very beginning, then Weston Parker has the book for you. When Autumn marries Jason who they've known since they were kids as well, Emmett decides to enlist in the Marines. Ten years later, he comes back home due to an explosion in Afghanistan. When Autumn finds out he came home, she instantly goes and sees him. She is now divorced and has a 6 year old daughter Penelope. Will they finally realize what is right in front of them? So far my absolute favorite book by Weston.. an amazing second chance romance
Emmett has loved Autumn since they were kids .. Autumn loves Emmett to but never made him feel like she did .. She married his best friend Jason and Emmett walked away and joined the military. 10 years later Emmett is wounded and sent home.. Autumn is now divorced and has a little girl.. She goes to visit him and the feelings they both have hidden are still deep and there. Will this time around things be different? Will Autumn's ex ruin any happiness they could find?
Penelope is such an awesome little girl.. She made the book that much better and to see how a child looks at life and knows more than you think is refreshing
I love all the stories I've read by Weston Parker and “My First Love” is no exception. This beautifully written story hooked me from the first to last page. Autumn and Emmett have been best friends forever. Although they have romantic feelings for each other they don't act on them. Emmett walks Autumn down the aisle as she marries Jason, Emmett's best friend. Still in love with Autumn, Emmett joins the marines. After being injured, Emmett returns home. Autumn has since divorced and has a beautiful little girl. Can Emmett and Autumn's relationship grow from friends to lovers? This touching and emotional book has an excellent plot, intense love and steamy sex. “My First Love” is a lovely romance worth reading. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Do you remember your first love? This story brings you all the feels. You feel like you are there physically. There is the wounded military veteran that has never forgotten the first woman he fell for even though she doesn't know it and dated someone else. Emmet goes to the military and now is back after getting wounded.
I think Autumn also had feeling for Emmett in the past but still married another, the marriage did not work out now she is the single mother of her daughter Penelope. Once Emmett gets better she asks him to stay with her and hopes in doing so he sees that she loves him. This is a really emotional love story that will catch you and won't release you not even when it ends.
I voluntarily received an arc copy of this story for my honest review
My First Love by Weston Parker was a fantastic book it was a second chance romance that just touched your heart. It was a bit dramatic with some romance, it was about a friendships and young love. They were the best of friends they grew up with each other he was like part of her family. Soon things change and here they are he is walking her down the aisle to another man and he is watching his heart walk away. This was one terrific book about how sometimes you just might get a second chance with the one you let go. This was a very well written story, a real page turner and definitely a must read Don't let this one pass you by. I highly recommend this great book and hop you will love this story as much as I did.
Second chance romances are one of my absolute favorites and Weston Parker’s My First Love made my heart soar. Boy loves girl, Girl loves boy, but they never tell each other so boy loses girl to his friend. Emmett and Autumn’s story starts as neighbors and best friends who have always loved each other, but we’re never brave enough to share their feelings. Unfortunately, for Emmett a mutual friend ends up getting his girl and making her his wife. It isn’t until ten years later and a tragic accident that Emmett comes face to face with his one true love who he hasn’t seen since he walked her down the aisle and into another mans arms. Will things be different this time around so they can finally have their happily ever after?
My First Love by Weston Parker is a wonderfully well written book with beautifully sweet Autumn and her daughter Penelope creating a family with her long lost best friend Emmett. After a 10 year separation, they finally have their second chance, a real chance. I enjoyed this storyline, Emmett and Autumn's emerging romance and relationship. There's little antagonism, which this author does not drag out. It's clear the two of them are on the same path and wanting their HEA. Penelope is absolutely adorable and I really enjoyed the interactions between her and Emmett. It was clear they connected and bonded immediately. Overall, a great read and absolutely worth 5 stars
Emmett has known Autumn since they were kids. He always had feelings for her, but was afraid expressing them would ruin their friendship.
As they got older, he wanted to express his feelings, but missed his chance due to his best friends dating and then marrying Autumn.
Emmett leaves for the the military for ten years, returning only after tragedy strikes. Once home, Autumn and him reconnect and slowly attempt to discover what their hearts have always know. However, there are challenges and obstacles that neither saw coming.
Another great story by Weston Parker! Steam level is on point for his novels. Fans of the author and genre will not be disappointed.
Emmett and Autumn have known each other since they were children. If she was honest, she knew that she should not have married Jason. Autumn was afraid if Emmett knew how she really felt, and things went wrong she would have lost her best friend. Emmett was devastated when he learned of her engagement to Jason. He should have told her how he really felt about her and now it was too late so he did the only thing he could he enlisted into the military. Now it is ten years later, and Emmett is home. Autumn is free of Jason and Emmett has his second chance. Will they take advantage, or will they let Jason get between them? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I received an ARC copy of this book and I have read and reviewed it. Therefore giving my voluntary and honest revoew
It is not everyday we find stories that instantly pull at our heartstrings but this was definitely that story. This story of Emmett and Autumn spoke of a love that sprung in youth and blossomed into adulthood. They were both shaky but a lot of realizations set in for them. Once there it built a strong foundation for a love that only and will only continue to grow. The depth of this novel was so pure even I was weeping happy tears at the end. And of course the steam level and the subtle gaiety only enhanced the tale. Perfect Novel.
This was such a romantic second chance romance. I loved the chemistry between Autumn and Emmett. The loved they shared was so pure and real and it came across in the way they interacted together. I loved all the secondary characters in the book and how they affected the out come of this story. Emmett was such a down to earth honest man and Autumn was so sweet and strong. I loved everything about this book. I don't want to spoil the it for you so I am just going to say this is a must read. Weston Parker did such an amazing job with this one.I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
Autumn and Emmett have known each other since they were kids. They were best friends growing up. Emmett harbored feelings for Autumn but was afraid to let her know for fear of losing her. When Autumn gets engaged to Jason, Emmett knows that he waited to long to tell her how he feels. Thinking that she loves Jason and needing to get away Emmett joins the Marines. Ten years later Emmett returns home after being injured. He learns that Autumn is divorced and now has a daughter, Autumn learning of Emmett's return can't stop herself from seeing him. This was a beautiful second chance romance with a little drama and lots of romance. I voluntarily received an advance arc copy for an honest review.
