About the author

Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.

4.5 stars. I forgot how much this series influenced my own writing. In this book especially there were two scenes that really hit.

Liz breaks up with Conner.

Somehow the chapter on this break brings me close to tears. I can understand her feelings, her fears.

For that reason I give this book a 4 star.

Not much on Jessica, she's angry that Liz is hooking up with Evan behind Conner's back, and she is upset that Jade is ignoring Jeremy (after cheating on him).

Not my best Sweet Valley favorite, but it's a fun read.

you have to read from the beginning (#1) to find out what's going on.. it's just another teenage-life-cliche.. however, it's OK to read this. about the twin Elizabeth & Jessica and how they survived their senior year in Sweet Valley High.
