Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
When an Alpha Purrs When I first read the description of this book I wasn't too sure if I would like it. I mean, come on. A man/Lion gets a bad haircut and claims the hairdresser as his mate as penance. It just sounded a little far fetched to me but, I decided to give it a chance. I have come to know that the description doesn't always make or break the actual book. This is definitely one of those times. I think the problem is that the description doesn't do the story justice. There's much more to it than just a claiming out of spite. 'Arik is the Alpha of his pride and of the city. He's had a surfer boy hairdo for many years and prides himself on his mane(hair). He goes to his usual barber, Dominic, but finds the man has left town on vacation. Hesitantly, and only because his prides was challenged, he agrees to let Kira, Dominic's granddaughter, cut his hair. During his haircut he acts crude and sexist towards her, and in her childish sense of retaliation, she cuts a huge chunk of his hair off. After which she bolts and runs all the way home to safety.' But that's not the whole story. 'After, Arik decides to go pursue her romantically/sexually to get back at her for her misdeed. During their first date he discovers that her ex has tracked her across the country to continue stalking and tormenting her. It's at this moment that Arik realizes Kira is much more to him than a conquest. She's his fated mate.' That's all I will say because I hate spoilers that tell you the ending but I will say it's a good story. So please don't judge this book by its cover, so to speak.
When a Beta Roars So, the story is really good. I enjoyed the characters and the story plot. The fight scenes were interesting and the Love scenes were just right. There's a good bit of romance and quite a bit of funnies. Hayder is a really enjoyable, playful, flirty character. He's a bit conceited and quite vain, but he's also very loyal and protective. Arabella is a woman who has dealt with too many domineering, abusive men in her time. She's running for her freedom and life when Hayder is assigned to protect her. Little does she know, she's gonna get much more than a protector out of the arrangement. I liked the story and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
When an Omega Snaps Great story. I think this one is my favorite so far. I love how the relationship between Mina and Leo is so balanced. Well... as balanced as it can be when one person is always rescuing the other. Leo and Mina are so amazing together. Mina brings a bit of joy , spontaneity and excitement to Leo's life, and he gives her the grounding influence that she so desperately needs. I love how playful and determined she is. She's not taking No for an answer. Leo is determined to keep her at arms length, but Mina is just as determined to break through every form of resistance he has. I just love them as a couple and I can't wait to see what happens next. Well done to the author.
A Tiger's Bride I take it back, this is now my favorite story of the series with book three, When an Omega Snaps, coming in a close second. Tina and Mina are so funny. Their shared luck being what it is makes you wonder how they ended up with Leo and Dimitri. These men sure have their work cut out for them. Tina, being just as accident prone as her sister, is different. She's shy and sweet, innocent, not as flamboyant as her sister. Dimitri, having finally given up his pursuit of Mina, has his eye fall on her sister, her twin sister. The antics that follow them in this one are just a riot of laughs. I also really like how this one ended. The epilogue is wonderful. I love this series. Well done to the author
When An Alpha Purrs Silly human, that’s a big kitty! This was a completely enjoyable read with lots of fun, heaping’s of steam, and an attraction that just won’t quit, much (initially) to our couple’s dismay 😊 When a Beta Roars Alright, Hayder was simply a lot of fun! He doesn’t fight it, simply accepts that he has found his mate and lets everyone know. Watching him trying to convince, and protect, said mate, was great 😊 When an Omega Snaps I wondered who Leo would end up with, and while Meena is his opposite, you know what they say!!! Took a bit for them to realize how perfect they were together, but once they did, they wasted no time 😊 A Tiger’s Bride This was completely unexpected and wonderfully so! As great as it was to have Dmitri understand mating pull, seeing Teena become her own lioness was even greater 😊
