After Cane's revelation on the depths of her husband's betrayal, she finds her self battling how to handle the truth without allowing it to fully break her. With Hoodsta by her side, Cane knows she can do almost anything. But how does that work when she's pregnant with his child; in addition to still running one of the most lucrative Crip organizations in New Jersey? While Hoodsta’s ready to retire the game completely, Cane’s just getting started. Can Hoodsta stand to the left of his woman? Or does her unending love for the streets ultimately tear them apart?
Awakening in the hospital, a tragic crash force Sanai to face her reality along with a mean backlash from Saint. The two find themselves at odds carrying out selfish tactics to get the others' attention; even though all they really want is to be together. But how is that possible when Gerald is still lingering in her past and Mecia just doesn't seem to go away? Not to mention, Saint's new responsibility as the GMC's Vice President. With more of Gerald's skeletons falling out the closet, Sanai soon finds herself conflicted and torn between loving the once plug, and loving a young savage. However, is Saint still willing to take on her and her baggage? Or better yet, is Sanai willing to accept all of his...
For ten long years, All Havoc wanted to do was come claim his hood back after tucking his tail and doing his time. 'Wins come with losses' is his motto. Now that he's linked back up with his girls Tru and Cane, he just knows they are about to take things to a whole different level. While everything seems to be falling in place on the streets, there's still that one thing in his life lacking. Havoc sees the potential person or thing he’s been searching for and realizes it's been right in front of him. Question is, will she be ready to reciprocate the love back? Or is he simply infatuated with the idea of finally being in love?
Cuz and Nika are your typical hood couple. They're trying to stack money, take care of their son, and live life to the fullest. Unfortunately, all of Cuz’s past wrongs seem to always knock them back to square one; making it hard for Nika to fully trust him. With Jahmara constantly using little Carson as a ploy to reel Cuz back in, Nika begins to question whether or not she and Cuz are truly meant to be. Giving up would be so much easier than the unknown. But the only problem with that, neither of them are prepared to live their lives without each other.
In this hood tale, we take a closer look into the lives of the crew and the people closest to them. With Gucc looming in the background stirring up beef, stakes slithering their way inside the circle, who can really be trusted? Not everyone can hang with the Gang, and only the real understands!
Why Karma Monae, why do you continue to make these books, just to leave your readers left wanting more! I've read 2 books of your series, just to have to wait until part 3 comes.... I'm about to go crazy, the situation with having to play this wait game!!!
Saint was young, but he was definitely was raised right by Cane. He knew who he wanted, and he went for it. Sanai was the perfect combination for him. He also had a high tolerance, when it came to accepting foolishness. He played the cat and mouse game with Sanai, due to his stubbornness, but after awhile, he became the man that she needed. What I loved about him, was that he never lied to Mecia, or anyone else, when it came to his intentions. You might not have understood it, but you couldn't do anything but admire that about Saint. Just like his mother, he loved whole- heartedly, and without shame, and he adored his mother to pieces. Even with all the things he found out, from the truth about his father, his best friend Hoodsta, the betrayal from Po, dealing with the GMC, he handled it accordingly. Yes, he was a little emotional, but he's human, so who wouldn't?
Sanai really is becoming her own woman. At first, she was this naive person, that let people walk all over her, but now, she comes with attitude, and some feistiness to her. Sanai is beautiful inside, and out, and any man that is looking for a wife, would be happy to have her. Plus, Sanai has already been through so much, with the betrayal from Gerald, and her backstabbing sister. Why is Gucc putting her in the middle of the GMC's drama?! Sanai stays to herself, taking care of her children, and doesn't hurt anyone. Just when Saint and her are finally on the same page, and she's preparing for her baby girl Genesis to come home, tragedy strikes.
Kim should be ashamed of herself, and she really should be mad at her father, and herself. I still can't understand why her anger was directed at her sister, when it's not Sanai's fault, that Kim was the side chick, because Gerald chose to not claim her, but to keep her for his convenience, and as his bottom. Due to Kim, not having any standards, she's now bitter, and it caused her to lose her unborn child. It was terrible that a life had to be lost, but what.did she expect... she made her bed, now she must lie in it. Nothing good will come to Kim, until she try to make amends, and try to repair the damage all the damage that she's caused.
I see why Mecia and Kim are best friends. They have so much in common, both will never be wifey material, neither have any goals, both are bitter, both are messy, and both are very distasteful. Mecia's physical beauty is up to par, but both of their personalities are ugly as ever, and for Mecia to have a best friend like Kim, who has a whole relationship, and get pregnant by their sister's fiancé, says a lot about the type of company Mecia keeps. Trust and believe, Saint will never take Mecia seriously, and when he finds out that she teamed up with Chan, just to try and off Cane, both Chan and Mecia are going to be 6 feet under.
I was rooting for Cane and Hoodsta's relationship, and there's still love between the two, I just feel that with time, everything will work itself out. Cane is one of the strongest people, raising a child, that's the product of a rape. Not only does Cane love Saint, but he's her life. Most women, would have been down, depressed, and suicidal, but she held her head high, and at the young age of 14, she became a mother to her son. She could've easily let her parents raise Saint, but she did it all on her own, and she still didn't give up on love. Cane was a little rough around the edges, but she had every right to be. She still had a heart of gold, and those that she called family or friends, she loved them whole-heartedly.
Tru had finally met her match. Cane seen what Tru didn't, the love Havoc had for Trudy. A part of Trudy died, when she lost the love of her life, her husband, Big Cuz to police brutality. She decided to just love the streets, and never trust in love again. Havoc grew up with Tru, and Cane, who was best friends with Trudy's husband, Big Cuz. Havoc had just came home from doing a 10 year bid, seen Trudy develop into this curvy, no nonsense bombshell, who was blunt, raw, and real, and couldn't resist her. Now everything that Trudy stood for, when it came to never loving again, Havoc is doing what he can to prove Tru wrong, at all costs. Havoc knew her inside and out, there's no one else that could be fragility enough to love her, like only he could.
Jahmara was another delusional female in this book, yes, there were a few. I mean, Cuz realized that he made a mistake, when he cheated on Nika, and he done everything he could to show Mara that he only was still involved with her, due to his son, Carson, but she acted as if she didn't understand English. Cuz was an amazing father to both of his children, but that wasn't enough for Mara, because she wanted Cuz for herself. Somewhere along the way, Mara just couldn't accept the fact that Nika was who had his heart. I guess everything worked out, since Mara couldn't keep her hands to herself, and she ended up killing herself.
Rah'Nika was a beautiful person, loyal, a faithful woman, an awesome mother, and friend. She was there in ways for Sanai, that only a genuine person would, and you couldn't do anything but to respect it. Nika was also intelligent, so much so, that she was graduating valedictorian in her class.... go girl! She also kept Cuz in check, and she checked herself when the time came to do it. Nika was definitely someone that I'd want on my team.
Now the wait is over. The first book literally was one of my Fav’s of 2017 and book 2 solidified why I was so into these characters. Saint and Havoc are those dudes. I totally see where Hoodsta coming from with. Cane. Tru and Cane are friendship goals. And what’s up with Tune?!! Most importantly that ending 😫😤
This story contains so much drama for days. Gucci and his betrayal but having more lives than a cat. He's slicker than oil the way he gets out of things. Cane's boss status causes conflict with Hoodsta, especially with her being pregnant with his seed. However, Cane is a fighter and survivor, but this last thing, so unexpected. The fallout of her new situation is going to be hectic, but it looks like someone else maybe waiting in the end to step up and love Cane as she is. Saint and Cuz stepped into the roles their mamas made for them. Saint definitely earned his respect by carrying out a very hard decision that made him into a good leader, even though it broke his heart. Havoc and Tru, didn't see that coming, but they are good for each other. They balance each other out and let each other be who they are without judgment. Saint and Sanai finally worked out their differences and became exclusively, but just when they thought every thing was all good... Bam, the bottom falls out.
This story had a never ending cycle of love, betrayal, miscommunication, and trust within the various relationships. Each character progressed and grew in various ways. The ending was so unexpected and was a "wow and ah ha" moment wrapped into one. So many questions unanswered and have me anxiously waiting to see how it all plays out. Good character development, and this story is definitely not predictable.
I loved this second installment. The way Nai bossed up on everybody life had me all smiling like a proud mama!!!! Saint had his mess with him but I can see him and Nai being something big. That ending was definitely crazy. I am definitely Team Havoc though and I can't wait to see him tame my fav Tru. I liked the fact that we got to see another side of her and Cane because now we know why they are the way they are and why they raised their kids like they did. Gucci and Ugly Kim are both in denial and Mecia is just like them. They way they obsessing is just crazy. We all gotta learn someday. Now Tune is a breath of fresh air honey. That plug/royalty thing he got going is has me swooning honey. I believe 3 is going to be epic!!!
Karma, you have done it again...but I didn't she Kayla being a shitting friend and I damn sure didn't see Po doing what he did😱 But I'm glad you didn't kill Sanais' baby and I love that her and Cane is getting along now....Now let's talk about this ending, Girl you gave me about 6 mini strokes throughout this book but to have the Coldest Boss Bihh lose it, OMG I can't and now Gucci semi-retarded self , I just cant .... Love this series and can't wait till part 3 drops
When I say this book was well worth the wait baby was it! Nothing was what it seemed! All I can say is expect the unexpected! I totally didn’t expect this book at all! But I couldn’t get enough of it either! It was captivating and full of intrigue! I couldn’t believe Tay left like that! I’m so sick of Gucc! I Love Havoc & Tru! He came and got her all the way together! I’m trying to feel bad for Kimberly & Mara but I just can’t! Can Nai please put her hands on Mencia please! And that ending all I’m going to say is Lordt let us pray!
I'm so throwed back by this book. I mean I loved it. But what I love the most, is the knowledge and the power it holds with every character. Any time I read Karma books, there's always a message in it for who ever is going thru whatever. In this particular book, I read at least 5 or 6 messages and I related to them all. I'm not gonna speak on what happened in the book for spoiler reasons but I will say this, Karma did her thing and she never disappoints. Can't wait for 3. 😍😍😍.
This book has dragged on, I didn’t even get to 45percent. Part one was great, part two is just dragging out. Like what the heck!! Then seeing these other reviews talking about a part 3, I can’t take it. Forget it! I’m throwing the book down. Sorry, it’s just not keeping me interested. I always finish reading the same day if I start a new one in the morning. It has been two days with this, and I couldn’t stay focused that’s how bored I was. Smh. Forget this! And to think I was waiting on this book to come out. Smh
Mannnnnnn I tell you it seem like Sanai can't get a break and poor Saint he can't take another loss but it's good to see that he's falling in love. I pray that Cane get her memory back and it seems like Tune might want to be with Candace so that has me thinking how Hoodsta is going to feel. Gucci need to just disappear already cause I'm soooooo done with him and Dolly. I was not expecting that outcome with Nika, Cuz, and Mara. What I fear is that lil Carson is going to really hate Nika. I surely can't wait for part 3 great read Karma!!!!
Ok this was so good I didn’t want it to end. Havoc, Saint, Hoodsta and Cuz off the chain, loving, kind sexy and true honesty men. I love the way that they just claiming these women (laughing) even when they say no but them knowing that they don’t mean it. Sania good girl grew some balls I was happy for her and love how she gave Saint the pills. I laughed so damn hard hell I laughed and cried hard through out the whole book. Tru and Can Love them. I hope Gucci gets his and Mecca, I can’t wait to see what happens to ugly Kim. I really enjoyed this book.
It is so much going on with the crew. Saint and his mom being shot. Gucci still on the loose. Now Cuz and Nika dealing Mara dying in their place. Just one big mess. Ugly Kim baby died and notvsure why!!!! Sandi cannot catch a break. I hope Saint find her. Cane has some type of trauma with getting shot. Peanut and Supreme died. Just a lot of. Waiting on Finale.
The wait was worth every page each turn was so much with action to passion and drama. I so happy to see what has started all this chaos and for Gucci to still be around when will his time come. Wow Nika maybe heading to jail Cuz better get ready for Steven coming for his women. The drama still coming once part 3 drop Cole Hart Signature another fire series
This hurts my heart, what Po did was wrong but come on, they should have cut ties with Po and Kit instead of killing them. Hoodsta is one of my favorite character in this series, please let him have a good ending, even if Cane picked Tune in the end. Kim need a reality check Gerald need to dump her she didn't take the money for her niece and nephews, karma is a bitch. Kayla need to let that 2 time bitch of a man go and make it right with her friend
Good read i gave it 4 stars because i was able to skip pages like 2/3 and still was able to pick up where left off i love and appreciate a great length book as anyone else but i believe this particular book was over lengthy with unnecessary explanations on how the dialogue went as a reader i want the story to flow not stop every other sentence to explain why the character said what they said ... other than that the story itself was great !
Waaay too good! It’s like I was watching a movie the way I was all into this story. Ugly Kim was even worse in this book! She made me so mad the way she treated her sister and Gerald was no better. I liked Cane and Hoodsta and I hope they get it together. I felt so bad for her. Havoc 😍! I can’t wait for Kay to be exposed and I hope Gucc gets what’s coming to him too. Nika let Mara push her too far. Ready to see what happens next!
I pray book 3 isn't long like you letter to readers said cause hunniiiii this was everything to me! I think Tune is gonna get wit cane that's the type of dude she needs and I need more of him! That damn gucc ughhh can't stand him havoc and saint is gonna lose it!! Omg great job can't wait! Oh and the message about the devil RECEIVED keep fighting the good fight girl!! I know the feeling!
I can't believe that Gucc found Sanai n he done shot Peanut in the process. Something told me that he would try something like this n Saint didn't leave her protected not to mention he is far away n can't get to her quickly. I can't wait to see how this is going to play out smh. I know that Saint is going to be so pissed off especially about Peanut being shot. This was fire right here! Can't wait to read part 3! Hurry up lol! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Maaaannnn!!! This picked up right where it left off. I must say this was definitely worth the wait. So much 💩 is going on. All I’m going to say is I hope Cane get her memory back😩 Sanai is found safe and not to much happens to her😩 they catch Mecia😒and nothing to crazy happens to Nika. Oh yeah and Hopefully somebody sit ugly Kim down somewhere because she’s super dang annoying.
Hoodsta is looking really suspect fight about now. I think he will be joining Po soon. He has way too many disappearing acts going on. So glad Nai and Saint are finally on the same page. Nika better hope that Steve calms his behind down because Cuz is gonna go crazy. Linda like Tune and Cane finna spark something off despite their significant others. Hope Tru gives Havoc a real chance. Like how they balance each other out. That ending though hope everything works out.
OMG I wasn't ready for that ending!!! This book was definitely worth the wait!! I need Cane memory to come back quick! Nika ex needs to fall back before Cuz kills him!! What happened to Mecia when Ugly Kim went to the hospital! Kayla way wrong she ain't no real friend! I can't wait for book 3! You did your thing once again you didn't disappoint!
This book was pure 🔥. The drama, the characters, the story line kept me on the edge of my seat. A page turner for shore. My emotions are all over the place. Karma Monae brung it !,, well worth the wait. That cliff hanger had me about to jump in the book!!! Can’t wait for part 3
Karma Monae came back kicking hard with her pen work! This book was worth a 100 stars and although it took awhile best believe it was well worth the wait! If you don't know then you better find out because this author here ain't no joke! I'm so ready for the finale!
Omg you did your thing with this one. This was a great comeback. I couldn't believe gucc came back and after sanai I hope they get him and kill him and cane losing her memory and ugly Kim losing her baby man it was so many good parts in this book I would be going on for her but I am glad sanai and saint finally got it together. Can't wait for part 3
Ooh this book is good! I hope peanut do not die!! I pray Nika don't go to jail karma was served cold for ugly Kim triflin behind know that baby was not Gerald's, I hope cane get her memory back they need to catch mecia and gucc for real. This book had more drama in it which kept me wanting to see what happens next. Great read
A MUST READ!!!! This 2nd installment of this book was sooooo good. Karma Monae is so gifted. So many questions were answered and so many things are revealed. I am rooting for all the couple's. I have questions but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Job well done!!
This book was really good! Where can I find Havoc? I’ll fight Tru behind him. I’m so sick of Gucc he has to go. I love Cane I’m ready to beat Mecia myself. Nika’s playing a dangerous game. I hope Sanai is okay. I love Saint. Ole girl was wrong for walking out on her kids.
I really enjoy reading everything by this author but this one wasn't my favorite . I felt like it was dragged out too much . Too many characters to keep up with . I'm still going to read part 3 can't wait to see what happened to Tru and Havoc . Gucc to get what's coming to him .
This book was everrrrryything. Really worth the wait bc Karma write the hell out this baby she came with the straight 🔥🔥🔥 this deserves 10⭐️s Sanai is sooo strong baby girl coming into her own and so is Saint. 😍😍😍 MUST READ
I enjoyed every minute of this book and I know it’s longer than your usual but I really appreciate it. Now on to this finale...I hope you know Gucc and Mecia gots to go. You can definitely whack Kim and Gerald too. Anywho I really loved it and can’t wait for part three.
Ms. Monae has a great thing going but I don’t like the wordiness. It was not necessary and seemed forced to drag the book out. I enjoy understanding where characters come from and their thought process but I felt this was excessive
