Cold Feet, Hot Summer

Rate this book
Natalie is just weeks away from her summer wedding to her longtime love Seth, so she should be overjoyed. Instead, the stress of planning the perfect day has her feeling more anxiety than anticipation. She and Seth can't find a place to live (without his parents helping foot the bill) and Natalie and her mom have different tastes. She's just ready for the whole thing to be over. When Natalie's brother Jimmy has a freak accident, it means a drastic cut in the wedding budget and leaving her job to stay home with him. It also brings her ex Jeremy right back into the middle of her life. The feelings she thought were gone are anything but, and Natalie finds herself wondering if she has a simple case of cold feet or if she's about to choose the wrong man.

This is the perfect light, summer, beach read. I love a fun, clean romance and this one is full of interesting characters, hilarious situations, and wedding drama. I only wish I would have read the novella before reading this one (I read them after). Four Days at Christmas really sets this book up right and delivers the full picture.

Natalie is more stressed than happy about her upcoming wedding to Seth. Weddings are super stressful, but the excitement and anticipation of the big day usually overshadow the decisions and hard stuff. When her brother, Jimmy, has a major accident, a lot of things change in Natalie's life and I loved the outcome. I'd be interested in reading more about these characters, especially Jimmy.

Content: moderate religious content; mild romance

This was an excellent book to read over spring break! I read most of it on the airplane and loved being able to concentrate on this story while confined to my seat. The hot and cold between Natalie and Jeremy kept me flipping pages through this novella. It's fun to read a clean love story that has strong characters. I liked Natalie's voice and loved her family! This is a quick read and I can't wait to read the others in this series.

Seth or Jeremy

I enjoyed this read about Natalie, but I sure wanted to bop her over the head a few times, lol. She’s engaged to marry Seth, but she can’t wait for it to be over. She learns that Jeremy has been meeting with her father for months, when he arrives for their meeting. They go for coffee to catch up and she gets a terrifying phone call. Jimmy, her brother, is in the hospital ER. Jeremy drives her there and stays to offer support. Seth gets there later that night and is not happy to see Jeremy. Is this going to be a problem for Natalie? What does Jeremy being back in the picture mean? No spoilers, so grab your copy and see if you think she made the right choice.

Natalie is deep in wedding preparations and completely stressed out. Nothing seems to work out the way it should. More and more, she has doubts about her marriage to Seth. If she had not met Jeremy six months ago, she would never have had these doubts…
Though I enjoyed reading this book (I like the writing style), I could not relate to Natalie. I cannot understand a person willing to date someone, here even to get engaged, while having feelings for somebody else. Just because she does not know if Jeremy has feelings for her does not make it right to jump into the next available marriage. Nonetheless, it’s a fun story to read, well written, showing how supporting parents can look like, even if it’s at the last minute.

Truly appreciated this book!

If you want a good, clean, Christian-based book that is both humorous and well-written, get this one. Natalie, in the prequels Four Days at Christmas and Three Days at New Year's, made me laugh...and I wanted to shake some sense into her in Cold Feet, Hot Summer!
But I can't help but love the girl, fictional though she may be. She's torn between the two wonderful men in her life. I kept waiting for the author to show me which one had flaws in his character. You are just going to have to keep reading like I did, though, if you want to know the answer. I'm no gossip!

Interesting good clean Romance!!!

This is a good clean Romance that is very well written and interesting!!! This is definitely aiming for women who have questions about whether or not you are going to marry the one you are engaged to or the guy who you feel an undeniable connection with instead. The story is captivating and I had to finish it, even though I felt the wrongness of her continuing to see her ex while going forward with wedding plans!

I disagree with how she handles the situation, but agree with her final decision. You should read this for the experience and insight into how people end up in wedding dilemmas!

This fun, clean romance was a quick read and chock full of characters I could relate to. Natalie’s about to marry her long-time boyfriend but something doesn’t feel right. Add in Jeremy, a man she dated for a week when her and her boyfriend temporarily split and Natalie is really confused. Then there’s Jimmy, Natalie’s brother who doesn’t do anything half-way and Emily, Natalie’s gorgeous best friend. You have all the making of a great story.

I have to admit I was hoping for an epilogue. But MAYBE Jimmy will get his own story (fingers crossed). Go check it out.

I love love Natalie's story. I fell in love with the Christmas book, and now this one. A recommended sweet read. Except for the ending. I felt a little let down. I wanted more of their courtship. I read their struggles, but what happened after he came back from (I won't say because of spoilers ). I need another book of what happens next. I read Emily's story and saw what happened several years after the he came back, but WHAT happens in between? Please write another book about Natalie's story leading up to Emily's. Or at least a few years b

I love cheesy romantic comedies and cheesy Hallmark movies and this book is definitely that. Nice and easy read to work your way through while relaxing. I was a little muddled at first having read Four Days of Christmas [[ASIN:B0785WG8F7 Four Days of Christmas (a Sweet Holiday Romance Short Story)]] back in December but missed the second part in the trilogy however once I'd got my head round that bit, it was fine and actually this works as a stand alone story too. Enjoy!

I was really hoping that Natalie decided to go with her heart. I mean, being with Seth and both going to school to become lawyers. They seem to have many things in common. It just seemed like they had more of a friendship, than a relationship. That was awful that happened to Natalie's brother. I think it made them all realize you can't take anything for granted. Jeremy was a great help for everybody. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

Natalie is a bit frustrating this time around. I like her but she obviously is too easily influenced by what others want and gets so caught up in it that she can't see the truth. In spite of her issues, this story is at times humorous and also realistically displays the love and support of family & true friends. I am very pleased with her final decision though. Absolutely love her choice & her friend Emily is a great supporting character.

A sweet story about young love. Natalie is engaged to Seth, but is having doubts about marrying him. She believes she is stressed from the wedding planning. Enter the one who walked away, Jeremy. This book is about choosing between what your heart wants and what you perceive to be the right thing to do. Ms. St. Clair writes clean stories with well rounded characters and clear story lines. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys wholesome stories that mention God without preaching.

I really enjoyed this story as I had read the two previous shorts and wanted to know what would happen next. I knew what I wanted to happen, but had no clue if it would, this made for compelling reading.

I hope there will be another book as I really want more and I'd like to know what happens to Jimmy and Emily.

I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.

I thoroughly enjoyed Cold Feet, Hot Summer. It was a well written story with characters that had depth to them. I could feel their struggles and their victories and just wanted to be the sideline cheerleader and cheer - do not give up! ha! Looking forward to more books from Emma St. Clair! She's got a knack for story telling!!

Great Story

I love feel-good romances. Natalie is getting married. Her fiance, Seth, is a great guy. Good looking, charming, kind, wealthy, and soon to be successful. There is only one problem. Natalie's stress levels are causing headaches and anxiety. Is it the wedding planning or is it something else? This is a clean romance with a great happy ending.

This book was a quick read. It was definitely predictable. I thought the time frame of when the couple first met and dated was pretty short. Clean read. I personally would not have chosen the name Jimmy for the brother and Jeremy for one of the guys with them being so similar sounding. Overall I did enjoy the story but there are some editing errors that occasionally distracted me.

The characters in this story are so relatable. St. Clair does such a great job of fleshing out even the seemingly unimportant people in the main character's life. I feel like I know them. Can't wait to read more of their stories!

Torn Between Two Loves Romance
This is a sweet and clean romance about a girl trying to choose between two men. This finishes the story that began with Four Days at Christmas. The story develops well with a straightforward plot. I bought this book and this is my honest review.

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. I enjoyed Emma’s book. The characters were varied as were their problems and the ways they solved them. I enjoyed the faith aspect of the book. The book held my interest throughout, and I would recommend it.

Runaway Bride

An interesting story of finding love while being engaged to the wrong person. Sometimes you convince yourself your doing the right thing for all the wrong reasons.

What a wonderful story. I enjoyed the clean aspect of this book. The author brings every character to life whether they play a major or minor role. I love the way St. Clair deals with all aspects of life. She brilliantly portrays how precious life is and how difficult it is to know you are making the right choices. I would recommend reading the first 2 short stories first but they all work well as standalone books. Overall, I think this well worth your time to read. I am looking forward to book 2 in the series.
