From the author:

Westwick Corners isn't your typical small town. Or even a normal ghost town. It's where people go not to be found, and witches go to work their magic without attracting too much attention. The combination makes from some interesting and humorous mysteries, and the witches are always at the center of the action!

Ruby's cooking, Cendrine's amateur sleuth and investigator activities, and Aunt Pearl's magic school are always looking for that one secret ingredient that will propel the witches to fame and fortune and put the small town of Westwick Corners back on the map again. The witches are forever cooking up new business opportunities like The Westwick Corners Inn, The Witching Post Bar and Grill, and of course, Pearl's Charm School, where witches go to unravel riddles, spin magic spells, and create their own witch mysteries. Too bad they are forever getting distracted because there are always strange things happening in Westwick Corners, from petty crime to murder.

The West family has always been in Westwick Corners and always will be. They descend from a long line of witches who have inhabited Westwick Corners from the beginning.

Witches who unlock mysteries, solve crime, and help those in need. They are collectively a kind of a witch of all trades, because pitching in--or is it witching in-- is what you do in a small town. Everyone helps out. Even Grandma Vi the ghost investigates and sleuths. But when everyone pulls together, it's not always in the same direction! If you like a good puzzle, a good laugh, and a good witch mystery series, you'll love these cozy mystery books! Available both as ebook cozy mystery books and cozy mystery paperbacks.

Christmas Witch List: A Westwick Witches Cozy Mystery
Westwick Witches Cozy Mysteries, Volume 4
By: Colleen Cross
Narrated by: Petrea Burchard
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
This is my favorite so far! I still find Aunt Pearl super annoying but the story was a good mystery. Who doesn't like a mystery with a snowed in group of people out from everyone. The power blinking in and out... then someone dies.. who killed them?
Great narration too!

Christmas Witch List has been my favourite book in the series so far. I found it to be perfectly paced. I enjoyed interacting with the characters even more. This mystery is also my favourite so far. This book could be read on its own and there was some background information given. I think there could have been a little bit more background information given, for those who have never read anything else in the series.

Petrea Burchard did a fantastic job with the narration and voices.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.

This is my final book in this series and I've listened to them pretty much one after another with a little break in between.

I loved this one even though it is a Christmas story and I listened to it during lockdown in the UK in June! In a heatwave!

The story was just so much fun and there were new characters who were funny and entertaining and fabulous. I loved the magic in the book and that plus the excellent narrator and the quality of writing made it a 5 star listen for me.

I feel sad that this is the last one in this series but I've been inspired to check out more Colleen Cross.

This book was every bit as good as I imagined it would be. Even though I started in the middle of the series, I wasn’t lost as the story. The characters were all very well fleshed out. There’s humor, drama, angst, and of course, mystery. Our MC really went on an emotional rollercoaster between the drama of her family and the raging snowstorm outside.

Narration was wonderfully done making it easy to distinguish between characters. She really helped to bring the piece to life by giving each character their own distinct “voice.”

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

I love this series and the narration by Petrea Burchard - this one was a shorter adventure, but still very good fun. Aunt Pearl causes even more trouble than usual, there's a bunch of uninvited guests at Christmas dinner, an unexpected murder takes place and Cen finally finds her witchy spine. The whole caper is a light-hearted, easy listen.

Another mad cap adventure from the Westwick Witches. Whilst I think it would be fun to stay in their inn, it might be a bit dangerous as they are always involved in some scrape or another. Another light hearted, fun adventure in this series, that brings a smile when listening to it.

I am extremely frustrated! However hard I search I cannot find a way to book myself into the Westwick Inn and how I'd love to stay there. First of all I must give due acknowledgement to the voice performance of Petrea Burchard. She has voiced this entire series and she brings the characters to life, (even Cendrine's Grandma!). I just love the relationships in this family and the squabbling sisters spending Christmas swapping increasingly barbed jibes at each other was superb. The story was clever, starting with a new character and then sneaking and snaking its way around the family and familiar faces until they were all intertwined. Colleen Cross provides precisely measured out ingredients for the perfect cosy mystery pie, and she tops it off with a pinch of her own, unique and special sprinkle of magic to make sure we readers will keep coming back for another serving. A joyous delight at any time of the year.

This is my review of the audio version as posted on Audible:

It's been over a year since my last meeting with the witches of the West family and it's a fantastic comeback:)

Christmas can be tricky in every family, but when Aunt Pearl starts plotting you can expect almost anything.... except murder. But murder it is, and now Cendrine has to solve the case before a member of her own family gets arrested for the hideous crime.

It's almost a "locked room" whodunnit this time, with the weather making it impossible for anyone to leave the crime scene and all the people present having a motif to kill. The plot is fast, secrets come out and turn the whole investigation round and personal animosities are an important part of the mix.

Aunt Pearl is her old self - liking to have the last word in every situation and, much as I like her, obstinate almost to the point of being stupid and irritating, Cendrine is still warm, loving and loyal, but she also discovers she's a better witch than she's given herself credit for so far. All the other characters retain their pesonalities and the new ones make an interesting addition to the old bunch.

Narration by Ms Burchard is great, too. She has a nice voice and does all the characters well. I especially appreciate her interpretation of Aunt Pearl - no-one could convey her annoying personality better, I think:)

I listened to this on audiobook.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't usually read Cozy mysteries, however this four part book series appealed to me because of the Witches and magic contained within said stories. So because of that I decided to give the first book "Witch You Well" a go and I'm very glad that I did. So it was a no brainer to continue on with the series right to through the very end, which is this book 4 'Christmas Witch List'.

This has been another thoroughly entertaining story, with plenty of drama and witchy woo going on which really does make for fun reading, not to mention the parts that had me laughing out loud. And if that wasn't enough, there's also a murder that takes place at a dinner party and pretty much everyone of the guests in attendance is a suspect as there are plenty of motives coming to light. It's a good job that Sheriff Tyler was also a guest as it falls to him to control the guests whilst trying to figure out who done it. Which is no easy task when there's magic and spells galore getting in the way of things. It really was very entertaining from start to finish.

One thing that really helps the story come alive is the narrator, I have to say that Petrea Burchard has done absolute wonders with each of the characters voices, especially that of the ghost of Grandma. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to listen to a book in the future where she is the narrator.

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review and all opinions expressed herein are mine.

This is the 4th book in the Westwick Witches Cozy Mysteries. It is a standalone story with no cliffhanger ending. You do not have to read the prior books in the series to understand the characters or their motivations.

Here, Cen is looking forward to a quiet Christmas with her boyfriend [the Sheriff] but a blizzard has caused him to work. Her hotel is now full of various guests her Aunt Pearl, who is normally antisocial, has invited over for the holidays. Soon after one of the guests eats Cen's mother's Christmas cake - she drops dead. The only suspects is everyone in the house so the finger pointing starts...

This was a fun mix of a cozy and some magic. I like that Cen is a reluctant witch but most of all, I enjoy the chaos that Aunt Pearl causes. There was never a dull moment as the investigation progresssed to determine if the death was a murder and if so, who did it - plus Cen has a go at casting spells - which is a complete crapshoot for her.

I listened to this book - the narrator does a great job voicing all of the various characters and her comic timing.

I enjoyed this book. It is such a charming little mystery that it keeps you guessing what is going on. This is book four and is just as good as the very first book and it doesn't seem like the author is running out of plot ideas or mischief. What I like about this series is the characters themselves, they are so much fun and are usually behind the problems that cause so much chaos. You just have to love the aunties.
Cendrine plans for a quiet Christmas with her boyfriend and aunts don't quite to plan. Her Aunt Pearl is up to something, it is not like her to be social let alone invite people around for a Christmas party. But not even Pearl could have planned the out come when they get trapped by a snow storm with a dead party guest. Not sure what killed her or even if it was an accident or murder everybody becomes a suspect. Santa had better check his list to see who has been naughty or nice. Either that or Cendrine might just have to use her rarily used magic to get to the bottom of this mystery.
I really liked the narrator, she used a different voice for each character, making it a very magical tale.

If you've made it this far in the series you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. If you haven't read the other books I recommend reading the series in order although you don't have to, they do link together.

Aunt Pearl is being her normal obnoxious self although her behavior towards her student is far from normal, still she's in full snark mode for most of the book and the humor is much appreciated.

Poor Cendrine is just trying to have a romantic Christmas with her boyfriend, oops, looks like that's not happening, it's one thing after another and it makes for a fun and exciting book with an element of mystery.

Petra did a fantastic job with the narration, her character voices enhance the personalities of the characters and the delivery is perfect.

Audiobook Review

Another great addition to the Witchy world of Cendrine.
It’s Christmas & Cen would love a quiet romantic time with her hunky boyfriend. But guess what?
Never with all her family around would it ever be quiet!
Aunt Pearl has invited so many people that she didn’t tell anyone else about. Aunt Pearl doesn’t like lots of people about, so what is she up to!
Things start happening as they do & there’s a suspected poisoning, but who did it & how....there’s a few to choose from and different reasons.
All whilst there is a horrendous snowstorm raging and no one can really go anywhere.
A great story and yes it’s Christmas but you can listen at anytime, with this family why would you miss out.

When Aunt Pearl invites a few extras to Christmas Eve dinner and the weather turns nasty, eggnog and a killer Christmas cake aren't the only perils to be dealt with in this holiday cozy mystery by Colleen Cross.
I love the Westwick witches - Cendrine the reporter, sometimes sleuth and reluctant witch trainee, zany Aunt Pearl and the rest of the family and they all feature prominently in this holiday story as do Cendrine's former fiancee, current hunky sheriff beau and a few new characters who are just as captivating. Add a holiday setting complete with Christmas trees and snow globes and you've got a story that's perfect for a December afternoon or any time you're looking for a well spun murder mystery that's not too dark.

All I Want For Christmas . . .

I've been following this series on audiobook, quite deftly narrated by Petrea Burchard, and have watched Cen become ever so gradually more adept at spells and witchcraft. Like Samantha in "Bewitched," she rather considers it cheating to use magic for things she can do herself (no, wait, that was what Darren thought). However, each story so far could easily stand alone, so if this is your first introduction to Westwick, you will feel right at home. This Christmas pageant introduces you to some South Pacific lore--based on historic events!--as magic is overcome by old-fashioned greed and guile.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. It's the most wonderful time of the year in Westwick Corners, or almost, that is. A terrible snow storm has changed the plans for the West family Christmas, with extra people being added and sheriff Tyler stuck at work. All these extra guests has Cendrine confused and grumpy. Just when things seem to turn to the better, one of the guest drop dead. Was it an accident or is everyone trapped with a murder. Lots of suspense and craziness leads to them solving the crime. Always a great listen.

This was a very entertaining Christmas story with a magical twist. It really took me on an emotional roller coaster. Rare in a book to a become enraged on the primary characters behalf. What the author put that pure girl through made for a story I really loved. There were so many twists and turns, that it at times was hard to follow, but that’s part of what makes a great audiobook. The narrator was amazing in really bringing the different characters to life. This is one author I am looking forward to listening to or reading again.

Her whole family is looney, but Cendrine and her sheriff boyfriend were hoping that the family Christmas would be okay. However, they didn't anticipate the blizzard, her former fiance bringing his new girlfriend, another unexpected guest, or the murder of Aunt Pearl's student witch. The only thing that they could bank on was that Aunt Pearl would be her obnoxious self. This is definitely a mystery wrapped up with spells and some real characters!
Petrea Burchard is just too good as narrator! She has the audio interpretation of Aunt Pearl down to a science!

I enjoyed this story very much, in fact it's my favourite instalment of the series despite the fact that the action never moves very far afield. It has elements of the classic whodunnit, locked room detective novel, complete with red herrings and theories flying thick and fast as the characters try to identify the culprit alongside the reader. A compelling storyline, complete with the characters we know and love well, as well as one or two others who we know less and perhaps feel less warmth towards. No one is forgotten or left behind.
The narration, as always, is perfect.

this one where Cin finally found some courage and did spells of her own.

one minute Cin has resolution to practice more of her craft next minute she don't want to be a witch. lame. the new year hasn't even got there yet per the story line and she is ready to break her resolution.

Then Pearl's charm school how did it get so far that there is actually a student?? Last book it just started and the only pupil is Cin. Just don't make sense.

One more in the series, lets see something...Cin fights back, grow some back bones, controls her aunts!

Audiobook review: Shenanigans, a crazy family, a blizzard, surprise guests, and an unexpected death combine for a comedic mystery. As much as Aunt Pearl would drive me in sane, I enjoy the chaos she brings. The narrator did a good job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. 4/5 stars for this series finale

I received this series in exchange for honest review.

This was such a fun witchy cozy series, which I have been super into lately. Such fun characters, and great stories. I didn't want the series to end! Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy cozy mysteries! This book in particular would be a great Christmas time read!

Narration was great as well.

Christmas time with the Wests. And you thought your family get together was bad! What starts as a traditional family Christmas Eve soon includes more and more outsiders and a murder. The usual sarcasm of the aunts towards Cen's lack of witchy knowledge, Cen's usual not wanting to do magic, then deciding she probably should learn more magic and the eventual figuring out of who done it.

Loved the fast pace of this book - that it was basically only one day in the life of these crazy witches. I must say that grandma vi is my favourite and liked to see (a bit) of another side of Aunt Pearl. Always well done with twists and turns you cannot expect!

Meh

This book was incredibly underwhelming. While the previous ones were interesting, this one jumped all over the place and contradicted itself more than once. I found myself going back and rereading just to make sure I hadn’t misread something the first time!
