How many superheroes does it take to protect a city?

Four, apparently. Astrid used to be alone. Now she has three men in her life. Two living in her home. Because of her power-her ability to feel everything that the person she touches feels, she's never been close to another person before. Especially a man.

Make that two men.

But they have their own abilities. And their own baggage. Together they'll figure out how to navigate a world that needs protecting. They'll also face the past, the others left behind and what happens when superpowers go unchecked.

Meet the Supers of Project 12:

Echo: Heightened Senses and Empathic Abilities
Charger: Kenetic Electrical Manipulation
Casper: Cyberkinesis. Manipulates and controls technology.
Pan: Illusion Manipulation

Rating : Yay superheroes!
(yes, that's a real rating)

I'm very biased because while I don't like the writing and I'm not sure what I think about the story, I just love the series. S.U.P.E.R.H.E.R.O.E.S.
I mean, even if it's not perfect, it just can't go wrong, right? And I'm suuuuuper excited to read the next book. Seriously, I'm hoping that the series never end right now. More more more!

The children of Project 12 are starting to reunite. Astrid has always feared contact, feared to be around people. Her empath abilities make her feel everything that the person she touches feels so she has kept her distance from others. But now she has two men, Quinn and Owen. They were once with her in the group home, they have their own abilities, their own baggage. The three have a deep bond. As a team, together they are stronger. They can begin to face the past together; find the others, and deal with their own they and their powers are out of a control and a danger.

Cast of Characters:

The Supers of Project 12:
Astrid, Codename Echo: Abilities, Heightened Senses and Empathic Abilities
Quinn, Codename Charger: Abilities, Kenetic Electrical Manipulation
Cedric, Codename Casper: Abilities, Cyberkinesis. Manipulates and controls technology.
Owen, Codename Pan: Abilities, Illusion Manipulation

Opponents from Project 12:
Demetria, Wendy, can animate inanimate objects. Wants to collect the lost boys for herself. Has plans to renovate the Swamp to her ideal through her company WIND-E Corp
Devin, Codename Blaze: Control of fire

The Task Force: Kincade/ Rowe; Their goal is to stop any vigilante behavior

Unknown; Draco, Mr. Perfect, ideal human specimen. From Project 12. Working with Demetria and Casper. True motives unknown at this time.

Sentinels is the continuing story of the orphans of Project 12; children who were tested on to strengthen their natural abilities. Now, adults, their guardians have all been killed, and they are slowly coming back together to form a team of Supers. Astrid, Quinn, and Owen have formed the strong core of the team with Casper providing tech and equipment assistance from a remote location. The team is learning how to trust one another, deciding how they fit into one another's lives, and investigating a string of arsons in the swamp. This leads to an unexpected alliance with Demetria and Draco of WIND-E Corp. Demetria is incredibly powerful and equally dangerous. Her dreams, delusions, and desires could make her a deadly opponent for Astrid if she feels that Astrid is standing between her and what/who she wants. Draco, as her right-hand man has formed a tentative friendship with Astrid unknown to Demetria. His motives are unclear and he is holding major secrets but he seems to be a genuine and honest man. When the partnership leads to disaster, everyone in the swamp is endangered and The Supers find themselves in a multi-front battle. Although their intentions were good, the results are nearly catastrophic. Now they are labeled vigilantes, they aren't sure who, if anyone, they can trust, and secrets are revealed within the team leaving them more unsettled than ever. At least Astrid, Quinn, and Owen have each other to turn to. And when they do, it is spectacularly hot!

I love this series. I think that there's is true brilliance in some of its creativity. I love the complexity of the Team; its dynamics, their abilities, the conflicts and uncertainty with other Project 12 survivors and with Kincade. I love the growing relationships. I love the Pan aspects. I love it all and can't wait for more.

Who knew I'd be so into superheroes?!

Bringing more men into Astrid's life never seemed like a possibility.
Now she has three, and two of them are living with her.
Figuring out their baggage, and overcoming their past together is harder than they thought.
But they have each other.
No matter what.

I am just loving this superhero story.

This one was more of background.
While we got some background in the first one, I felt as if this one dived more into the other characters.

The intimacy picked up in this book.
Nothing too much, but you do see some more.

I'm curious to see where this story is heading.
How many will be in the harem?
How will they interact with each other?

There isn't much I can say about this book, expect I loved it.
That I'm ready for more.

I recommend it.
I really think you will enjoy it.
Bonus that both book one and two came out today and you can binge read them.

The second book in the Supers of Project 12 series and it is just as exciting and enjoyable as the first. I loved how Echo is progressing and the development we see from her in this book. She's becoming stronger, not just with her powers but mentally too. I think she's a great character and the perfect one to lead this book, although we also get to see different situations from both Quinn and Owen's views. I like the team they're becoming together and their interactions. This book also gives us more info on their pasts, along with a few other of the supes too. I'm really enjoying this superhero story and hope I can read the next one soon. I'm hoping that there will be quite a few more books set in this world as I feel it has the potential to cover so much scope and still keep me interested for years to come. Five stars from me for what is another great book in what's shaping up to be a fantastic series.

Though I normally enjoy "origin" books/stories the best in a series I ended up liking this second book in Angel Lawson's superhero reverse harem series quite a bit better than the first. It was a good length but still a quick, easy read. It was fun and relaxing, with a new character that could be, perhaps, my new favorite. The story flowed well, weaving through action, romance and the best aspects of superhero stories. I am really enjoying the slower build to a full harem - the author has done well at giving enough romance/sexy times to not make it agonizing but still build anticipation for more to come. The book didn't reach my admittedly lofty RH perfection scale, but it happened to hit me at just the right time after a couple of heavier reads, providing an enjoyable escape for a few hours, leaving me really looking forward to the next in the series.

This second book in the series, was just as interesting as the first. Honestly when I first heard that it was superhero RH I was a little skeptical. I can now say that Angel Lawson has completely won me over.

In this part of the story Astrid, and her two guys are trying to figure out their roles in each other lives. There is a lot of tension between these three, but it does not detract from the story line. Astrid, Owen and Quinn are charged with figuring out who is behind a series of arson in the swamp. This leads to unexpected alliances, and villains you never saw coming.

The ending was brilliant, and I absolutely cannot wait to learn more about Casper and Draco!

Supers kicking butt

More butt kicking and action packed adventure for these supers trying to find the answers they deserve and help save their city and the innocent while their at it. Things are heating up between Echo and her guys, Casper is still in hiding but helping as he can, and now we meet a few new supers, but are they on the same side, can they be recruits to Echo's cause or are they last the point of being on the side of justice? This was a great read and I look forward to finding out what happens next and how this story unfolds, I love these characters and really like Draco can't wait to see where that leads.

Great follow up!

Astrid is seriously growing on me. She’s taking her time navigating all these complicated waters and she’s putting her city, her personal needs and the missions as her priority. Her relationships are developing nicely but it’s wonderful that they aren’t front and center taking over the entire plot.

These superheroes aren’t necessarily your comic book variety but with their own homegrown spin sort of speak. I love them. I cannot wait to delve deeper into the world of project twelve and see how the Elites further find ways to protect their city and each other!

OH MY GOSH!!! I am truly in love with this story line, the characters and this author. The characters are so much fun, so loveable, and so intriguing. They even have cool code names. LOL. Echo, Charger, Pan, and Casper join other super heroes and super villains during this fast paced, action packed, and engaging fight between those that use their power for good and those that aren't sure where the line of good vs. evil falls. I hope the next book comes very soon.

This is such a fun series. I love superheroes and Astrid as echo is awesome. I loved the villain being from the same project 12 as the good guys. We still have Demetria as the villian but also introduce new bad guys. The three vigilantes are living together and trying to have a relationship which causes some problems. The story is fast and exciting. Lots of drama and action with a little romance thrown in. Great book will be continuing this series.

So this might be my new favorite series. I enjoyed the first book but I really enjoyed the relationship building in this book. We learn more about everyone in this book and few people we didn’t know existed. We learn more about Echo and her team of Pan and Charger. I personally love Owen. I have a realllllly weird feeling about Jensen so I am interested to learn more about him!

These books are good, but they need some editing. The narrative keeps going between first and third person, which is somewhat distracting, along with a few grammatical errors. Other than those things, the story is so good and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series :)

Astrid is so cool - she is down to Earth, strong, and yet is also vulnerable at times. I like that even the villains can have some good characteristics. Their is depth to all of their motivations. I can’t wait to see where this series goes.
