Seriously?! This series is stressin me the F out! First of all, all the Barsetti men have disappointed me with their hatefulness. Bones has completely did a 180, flipped his life around for the one he loves. He has nothing left of who he was when they met. Her family was freakin awful in this book. I'm just agitated, I want these two to be together, and with how everyone is acting, I feel like eventually Vanessa won't even care if her family approves. This ends in a cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next book.

WHY!!! I have NO words. If I can stop screaming at my kindle long enough and have my kids stop giving me strange looks long enough to get my emotions and words in order. Just when things were starting to get interesting too. I'm still having difficulties dealing with my love -hate relationship with Crow and Button more Crow than Button HYPOCRITE much!!! Don't get me started on Cane and Conway the hypocrisy in the Barsettis family is so real right now. I don't think my heart can take much more. I can't wait for this devastating, unnerving, undoubtedly, and EPIC conclusion to Vanessa and Bones love story. Their story is so intense but I'm more than ever rooting for Bones I hope he get the HEA he deserves. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Okay this boom so far has been the most intense. Bones is going through so much to get their approval. The Barsetti's are being a bunch of hypocritic. Yes I can understand there resentment towards Bones but give credit where credit is due. I say that to say this. This book was amazing. I was scream and shaking and on the edge of me sit the whole time. I was so into this book I didn't want to go to sleep. I sent my morning at work reading instead of working lol. I so love this series just as much as the original.

Okay I really thought Crow was kinda okay with it at the end. But no, just ruin my happiness :(
This whole book was about the Barsetti's and if they could accept Griffin as Vanessa's partner. The Barsetti's were reaaaally annoying in this book and I was dissapointed with Crow at the ending. This is gonna be hard for Vanessa to hear.
But they probably gonna end up together anyway, so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

This book is everything!!
It has and makes you feel ever type of emotion possible. From Anger to Sadness to Love and Hate.
Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions. I Absolutely LOVED it!!! Penelope has outdone herself again. And the cliffhanger Oooo The Cliffhanger, Penelope is the Master of CliffHangers!! This is the 8th book in the series and let me tell you, You will not be disappointed.

I can’t get enough of these Barsetti’s! This is book 8 in the next generation and this book continues the story of Vanessa and Bones. I’m really enjoying their story, but I have to say the first half seemed to drag a bit. I get it that her whole family hates him again and again. Will Vanessa ask him to give up everything he knows to be with her? I still advise it is good to know the background of the prior books as it does have spoilers for the prior books.

J’allais presque mettre un 5etoiles mais malheureusement la fin m’a laisser un goût amer. La peine que j’ai pour Bones est immense… Très bon livre qui montre que l’amour s’entretient et la confiance se gagne grâce à des actes.

Was this a good book? Yes
Was the writing exceptional? Yes
The only way I had to judge the content was by stars.
There is absolutely no 20 something who would let her parents pull her strings and just take it. Period.
No matter how “strong” the relationship is. Girls grow up and move on.
She’s in love with Griffin, but her parents hate him.
They go out of there way to remind her constantly
Yet she lets them. She says nothing.
100% of the women would have just walked away. The parents would NEVER act the way these parents are because of the risk. They risk alienating their daughter. They risk driving her away. Yet in this book. That’s exactly what they are doing.over and over the entire book.
So I gave it 2 stars. The author just wrote it a little to unrealistic for my liking.
About half way through Vanessa would have just left with Griffin and not looked back. Her parents would have had to deal with their shit and they come after her (and Griffin) groveling IF they even decided to act like that in the first place. So no, I just don’t believe this book at all. It’s too out there.

Cet opus montre un Bonus protecteur certes mais surtout aimant et presque doux dans ses paroles, afin de mieux l’opposer au père de Vanessa qui n’arrive pas (vraiment pas !) à accepter que sa fille le fréquente. Quant à Vanessa, elle « reprend » du caractère par rapport au précédent tome et je l’ai préférée de cette façon ! Elle ose tenir tête à sa famille pour défendre ses convictions, son amour.
Insolente en Lingerie peut paraître calme à côté des autres : il n’y a pas vraiment de tension palpable qui nous met en émoi, hormis les conflits qui opposent Bones à la famille Barsetti. D’ailleurs, Penelope Sky nous propose de découvrir, en plus de ceux de Vanessa et Bones, le point de vue de Conway … Autant dire qu’il ne porte pas l’homme dont est tombé amoureuse sa sœur dans son cœur !
Le déroulé de l’histoire montre vraiment la façon dont Bones met tout en œuvre pour convaincre sa belle-famille. Cependant, il se montre très honnête et refuse de mentir, et certaines de ses actions pourraient ne pas passer…
J’ai beaucoup tiqué à certains moments à propos du comportement des Barsetti. Je les ai trouvés très hypocrites : tous sans exceptions ont fait vivre l’enfer à celles qui sont aujourd’hui leur femme, j’ai parfois eu envie de les secouer pour leur ouvrir les yeux … Mais Vanessa l’a fait comme je le voulais ! L’adage dans cette famille semble être : « faites ce que je dis mais pas ce que j’ai fait » et cela est parfois un peu lourd.
Surprise à la fin du tome … L’histoire entre Vanessa et Bones n’est pas terminée ?! Pourtant, le résumé du tome 9 semble concerner Carter, le cousin de Vanessa. Aura-t-on le fin mot de leur relation à travers l’histoire d’un autre ? Cela a un peu refroidie mon envie de lire la suite … La saga est donc terminée pour moi avec une pointe de déception car, au début, j’étais totalement fan de leur histoire et la façon dont Penelope Sky avait fait de Vanessa une femme fatale forte !

Penelope Sky, what are you doing to us readers? This must be the best series I have ever read. You honestly think Bones is getting somewhere and then boom it’s 2 steps back.
Can the Barsettis ever accept Bones, can they see what Vanessa sees in him? I have never felt such emotion for one person. I totally feel for Bones and who would ever have thought we would feel for Bones. Cliffhanger I can’t wait for the next instalment, couldn’t put the book down and ignored what I should be doing as I had to keep reading to find out. This is a MUST READ, you really won’t be disappointed with this series.

I have no words....just simply no words. In this next book in the series things are starting to look up for Vanessa and Bones. Not only have they both confessed to each other and her family that they in fact are completely in love with each other, it also seems as though the Barsetti Family has now adjusted somewhat to having him in her in life. But just when he admits he sees a future with her and is willing to let go of his employment a small truth is revealed and everything goes to hell. I hope this is not the end for them......

Ugh I think I love Griffin as much as Vanessa does & I never thought I’d say that about anyone involved with Bones. & the Barsetti men are just starting to piss me off. I just read all through the night, it is currently 4:45 am & I’m so upset at this cliffhanger. I hope things workout in the end because if anyone deserves a happy ending it’s Griffin. I just lob seeing how much he grows as a person, out of all the men I think that he is the one who has changed the most & the rest of them need to get with the program.

I dont know if I'm more mad at the Barsetti's or if I want to cry for this situation. I knew it would get worse before it hopefully gets better but dayum, this is bad. Bones has done everything necessary and possible to try to erase the past, and still can't win for winning. What will Vanessa do? What will she sacrifice when she finds out what just happened? Penelope, what have you done? Just when I have gotten comfortable with what was changing, you flip the switch. I can't wait for Divine in Lingerie.

Griffin is my new book boyfriend. He is behind in hover backwards to be accepted by Vanessa’s parents. The whole Barsetti family expect Carmen (canes daughter) is going out of their way to try and get rid of him. I love it I want more. Only thing is griffin hasn’t given her a cute pet name like all the other books do.

Oh my word! What an amazing read! I just want to scream over the cliffhanger! Vanessa and Bones journey is so intense especially with the Barsetti's knowing about it! But I definitely wanna slap Crow hes being hypocritical! The nexted book cant come fast enough! What an amazing read Penelope!
