I enjoy reading books written by authors who have backgrounds, experiences, and stories that are different from mine. Ortiz's story is one of resilience and the impact of both kindness and mentorship. The writing style helped me visualize each setting that Ortiz and his family were in as well. I appreciate how Ortiz was able to share his story to create a book that acknowledges the pain/hardships he and his family endured while simultaneously touching on his own self-reflection and individual growth.

What an amazing true story of God’s protection and provision. I appreciate how Juan put the credits to people who supported him through such a tough condition, growing up with constant traumatic condition.
