When I agreed to date Cooper Reynolds, I thought it would be easy. Two months of my life and we’d never see each other again. But he was charming, funny, and when he touched me nothing else mattered. We aren’t just playing a game anymore and I’m way out of my league.
It was all supposed to be a fake - a made-up romance for the press. But everything got real, fast. She thinks it's over? Not a chance. I’m not giving up without a fight. I’m going to win her back. And this time, I’m playing for keeps...
Picking up right where the first part of this duet left off, I was able to jump right into the story and enjoy how Cooper and Emily dealt with their issues. This one does not end on a cliffhanger and is wonderfully done! Stories like these are why I love reading Gina Drayer's books and her books have almost single-handedly turned me back to regularly reading romance novels along with all the other genres I love!
NOTE: I received this book as an ARC, but that did not influence my review in any way.

Playing for Keeps is the second part of the Playing the Game Duet. This is not a standalone and reading book 1, Playing the Game is definitely necessary as this book picks up right where the first left off. Cooper and Emily start book 2 off apart and Cooper has a lot of work ahead of him to win back Emily! This cocky sports hero is still hot-headed (and hard-headed) but as he opens his heart and truly lets her in, Cooper finds that Emily is his forever. There are many obstacles in their way and they face some very real problems without easy solutions. However, this couple navigates their way to a happily ever after with a sweet love story that readers will truly enjoy.
This was a great read! Super quick and easy to follow. Emily and Cooper are my little sweeties! And how about a quick novella for Ben? Playing for Keeps will be read again!
