No you didn't!!
A magnificent first in series!!
I am a big fan of the exotic ink series so when I heard one of my favorite series was getting a paranormal spin-off... Excited would be an understatement for how I felt ..
And I was not disappointed -
Gripping.. Exciting.. Engaging.. Suspenseful - everything I love in a five-star read

This was my first L.S. Anders book and I was thoroughly impressed! I will definitely be reading more. Imma sucker for a good paranormal story and Vex had me captivated from the very start. It was an explosive way to start a new series.

First book in a new series. Different from other PNR or U/F I’ve read in the sense of how the main character comes to live among humans. The gist of it all is that Vex and his friend Lucian are banished from their world for violating some rules and they are unceremoniously sent to earth. Decades later, they decide to set up their own tattoo parlor with the help of Sevin, a shifter they have come to care for and love as a son, all while Vex is still hoping to be sent back to his own world.
I loved the trio’s relationship. They acted like a family through and through. Vex was the tall, dark, and brooding of the three; Lucian had a much more calmer personality; and Sevin while still young was sweet and flirty.
Alea is a funny, witty fairy with her own ambitions and plans. As much as Vex tries to deny the attraction that started between them pretty much from the moment they met, it really doesn’t take much for him to give in into her desire for her. Even so, their relationship blazed at the right pace, not once feeling phony or forced. Their funny and witty banter had me laughing plenty of times.
Romance aside, there was a good solid plot that kept the story moving along. That said, I felt there were a few things in the story that needed to be addressed but instead we just skipped over them. There is also the ending of the story which I thought had lots of things going on instead of just Alea and Vex as the main focus, but that’s probably more of a personal preference.

L S Anders did not disappoint with this first book in the Mythical Ink Series. If you have read and enjoyed the Exotic Ink Series then you will love this book.
This is the story of a disgraced demon named Vex, who was sent down to earth along with his friend an angel called Lucien. They fell to earth and learned to live with it in their own ways. They had met and befriended Sevin a young shifter who had been abandoned by his pack. The three of them together started up their tattoo parlor Mythical Ink.
Vex brings together the characters seamlessly with the characters of the Exotic Ink series as their lives are entwined through friendship and camaraderie.
This book looks into the life of Vex and his meeting with Alea, a fairy who was hot for him from the very beginning she just had to bring him round to her way of thinking. A great story with interesting characters as well as some really hot sex scenes. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

When Vex, a demon, failed to complete an assignment he finds himself banished to Earth along with his angel Transporter Lucian. They need to blend in with the humans and after some time open Mythical Ink but they always hope that they will be able to return home.
Alea is a fairy who wants some independence, so she doesn’t hesitate to apply for the receptionist job at Mystical Ink but she never imagined how attracted she would be to her boss, Vex. Vex finds himself developing deep feelings for Alea but is it possible to have a happy ever after between a demon and a fairy?
The storyline is original, the characters compelling and it is great to catch up the people we love from the Exotic Ink series. This is an amazing story filled with suspense, drama and love and it is great to catch up with the characters from Exotic Ink. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.

Fantastic New Series!
Wow! What a wonderful start to a new series! It has a great group of characters with a very well written storyline!
I loved Vex and Alea together! They make a phenomenal couple! They weren’t going to let anything tear them apart!
I loved the side stories that were included in this book! It made for a very interesting story!

I was excited to get the chance to read another one L.S. Anders books because I have enjoyed them so far. When I first realized this was paranormal I was a little hesitant because I'm not really into that genre. She definitely made me like Vex's story.. DAMN!! I can't wait to read more.

From start to finish, this story was outstanding. I truly enjoyed the relationships between both the paranormal and the human characters. Super hot and an ultra sweet HEA. Warning! Hot sex scenes not for the faint of heart. I can't wait to find out what happens next at Mythical Ink!

I liked that an Angel and a Demon are not only friends, but work together. The demon in this is not bad or evil, which is a nice change.
There is some sexual content, so this book would be for ages 17+.

This is the first book in this series and i have to say it is a good book. An amazing unbelievable tale from beginning to end. It was an emotional, energetic and lustful story line. Vex and his friend Lucian have landed right on the island of New York during the Great Depression. Their lives have changed completely and they have to learn how to live again and find a purpose. Vex has been banished to earth and Lucian has to go with him. They finally find their purpose on earth and work hard on making it work. Alea is a fairy who applies for a job with them. But she soon finds that there is more there than just a job. I absolutely loved this story line. It is unique, original with compelling characters. I loved the suspense and love in this story line. I cant wait to read more from this series. L.S did an amazing job with this one. So well written from beginning to end.

I had the honour of beta reading this bad boy, but when LS Anders first told me this was PNR I thought oh lord this isn't gonna be a book I'll be into, not being a massive PRN fan, but man I was wrong, SO WRONG....Vex is a whole league of his own he also brings a whole new meaning to Hotrod.
The prologue, and first two chapters are a slower pace explaining how they got to this point in life, who they are and where it links into Jason (Exotic Ink book 3). Then the story really kicks off.
In this book you obviously have mythical beings who bring lots of curiosity to the table. It links into the Exotic Ink Series and all the lovable characters, so you might want to read them first. You get loads of mixed feelings, lust, passion, sadness, heartbreak, revenge, and sizzling hot sex

Vex thinks his life turned to shit when he lands on earth, and he wants back to his world. Hiding the truth from humans is hard work, he knows that there are loads of different species on earth. Opening a tat parlour brings in a surprise employee, and his life is about to be spun on its axis.
Alea is at her wits end living with her fairy people, and needs an out, she never dreamed getting a new job would lead to a whole new life. Her employers are definitely not what she expected, they are all charming and hot. Vex is way hotter than the rest, and she falls hard for his demonish ways, but life can be cruel and change in the blink of an eye.
Will they get an HEA together?
Or will Vex get what he thought was his paradise?
And lord woman are you trying to kill me, what a cliffhanger....bring on Sevin I need to know like yesterday!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for VEX: Mythical Ink Series (Book #1): An Exotic Ink Novel written by L.S. Anders and voluntarily reviewed this book. The demon Vex has been banished from the Realm of the Dead where he had been working as a Sentry to the Realm of the Living, along with a Transporter, the angel Lucian, all because of a failed transaction concerning a deceiving soul. Thrown to Earth and left to exist amongst humans during the last few decades, Vex and Lucian now make the decision to invest in a business venture, Mythical Ink. Interviewing receptionists for their tattoo studio brings the fairy Alea through their doors, to whom Vex has an instant and magnetic attraction to but denies himself with the same strength, because his being with her was not something he felt he deserved. But as much as he tries to fight it, Alea is not giving him any wiggle room at all, and he is finding it harder and harder to say no to what they could have.
Seamless weaving of the characters from the Exotic Ink series, bringing into this storyline great suspense and drama, which I look forward to reading more about in the next books, now that the characters are getting to know each other. Already a fan of the Exotic Ink series, I was so excited to discover there is a spin off - Mythical Ink, for which Vex is the first in the series. What can I say...except WOW! This book is incredible; the detail, the characters, the story line - everything, I was absolutely riveted, and quite frequently breathless! Running almost parallel with Jason (the third book in the Exotic Ink series) this story has a paranormal twist, and follows Vex, a demon who, along with an angel – Lucian - was cast out of the Netherworld decades before, and has been single-mindedly focused on returning, ever since. This plan seems to be on track, until Vex meets Alea, a petite fairy, Lucian employs as receptionist for their tattoo parlour - Mythical Ink.
The love story between Vex and Alea is sublime, but their unexpected passion, which is quickly becoming far deeper, leaves Vex torn. Should he follow his heart, and let himself be part of something greater than he ever anticipated, or let his head rule, and ignore this chance at an earthly happiness?
Unfolding against a backdrop of threats and a looming danger, LS Anders weaves a story full to bursting with drama, intrigue and menace, cleverly balanced by vulnerability, humour, sass and steam. Plus, Vex is one very hot and sexy demon…always helps!

Wow! Now I am not one to read paranormal romance but this was just so good! I loved the fact that they were in the ‘Real world’ and that they had normal jobs etc. This book is a spin off from LS Anders’ Exotic Ink Series, and it looks to be just as good as Exotic! I absolutely loved the first 3 books and I absolutely love Vex!
Let’s talk about Vex! Even though he is a demon, he is so damn adorable! I love him! Alea is just a sweet, little fairy. Every single male character that LS has written I have LOVED. LS has a way of pulling us in to her characters and making us fall for them. Male, female, demon, angel....No matter who they are there is a guarantee that you will love them.
The storyline was great. I liked that it met with the book Jason, which is book 3 in the Exotic Ink Series. I enjoyed the elements of the story, the fact that a demon and a fairy have the most extraordinary love! I cried in parts too! I got a bit emotional towards the end of the book. So I am reading this and yes I read all of the Exotic Ink Series (AMAZING!!) but I couldn't figure out how in the world Vex and his sidekicks Lucien and Sevin fit into all of this and bam. I never put it down even ignored my phone.This is an amazing read the build up and explanation of who they each are and the whole lead up to meeting Alea. Her and Vex just made me smile. I love this author and how she weaves in the supernatural aspect of the Mythical Ink group. We meet some old friends who bring with them action and drama and yes pain and injury. We also have some intrigue surrounding Sevin. Oh and let's not forget the passion. What I love most about this author's style is the blending of the culmination of story, plot and execution is always so intricate and emotional. It's not the tears of angst it's the heightened heartbeat of excitement and "Oh no" moments and times when you hold your breath or laugh out loud that make her reads so special. If you ever meet Vex I know on one thing you will agree, the old saying "Ask and you shall receive" is definitely a keeper.

Vex is not your average demon. He works with an angel and a shifter to operate a tattoo shop. His dream is to return to his former life and to do that he believes he needs to keep away from women. It is not difficult to resist until a fairy named Alea walks into their shop.
I really like Alea. She is not afraid to ask for what she wants and she wants Vex. Poor Vex doesn't know what to do but he does try to keep away. Their attraction is way too strong for even someone as tough as him to resist.
Vex is a good guy and very different from the evil demons that are often part of paranormal romances. He has a big heart and is quite protective of the unique family he has made on Earth.
The story starts off a little slow in order to get you oriented but picks up with plenty of action and romance. I like that the relationship is not rushed and you get to see it grow and become about much more than just attraction.

LS Anders has taken a leap into the world of paranormal and landed perfectly. She has created a world with demons, fairies, angels, and shifters that could actually exist. Mythical Ink is my new favorite PNR.
A demon and a fairy. Not a likely couple. He tries to fight the attraction, and she's determined to have him. I loved Vex and Alea together, their chemistry is flammable, leaving a trail of fire behind them.
In Vex, everything is beautifully balanced. Romance, action, friendship, family... there is nothing too much nor too little; Vex is an incredible combo of interesting, versatile characters and perfectly flowing storyline.

When demon vex is kicked into the world of the living he tries to bide his time until he can earn his way back.. When he meets fairy alea his priorities start to change.
I really enjoyed this story. The romance between vex and alea was a little insta love but it was still well built on from the initial meeting. And holy smokes those sexy scenes!!!.
I really liked the world with angels, demons, fairies and shifters. Each character had a uniqueness and separate abilities and each character fit well in the story.
I haven't read a story like this before so for me it was very different and a very enjoyable read.
The ending has me dying for more.....

Loved this book! Book one in Exotic Ink crossover series. Has a lot of secondary characters from Exotic Ink, but can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. The main characters story is wrapped up in this book, but it does end on a cliffhanger for another character, who's book is next. Paranormal is not my genre and I have never read or wanted to read one before. I enjoyed getting to know these characters in the Exotic Ink series and just had to keep reading. The secondary characters are just a great big family and are so well woven into each story. I would never have thought that I would enjoy a book about a demon, an angel, a half breed shifter, and a fairy, but they are so loving and protective of each other and their friends. I loved this book and can not wait for more!!

This book is magnificent, I have always thought the netherworld like a hot place with big Demons big swanstruk, with a Gothic atmosphere, a lot better than the perfect absolutely jocks pale that’s the Heaven. This story is like a hot sandbox wind with the light brightness and delicate touch of a fairy wings. A Dantesque atmosphere with a perfect peculiarity of details that leaves nothing to you if not enjoying the ride. Be aware that you can be recalled in Netherworld and the land won’t be soft....

Once I opened this book on my kindle I was sucked into the world of the unknown. I loved how the characters came together to make their own happy family. As I read about the fairy, demon, angel, and wolf interacting with the humans made me stop and wonder if they could actually exist in our world too. I know the next time I see a pretty cute petite lady I will wonder oh is she a fairy? I see an absolute flawlessly handsome man is he maybe an angel, or the sexy strong handsome man that makes the area hotter a demon. It makes you wonder, and wish you could find your own sexy demon to keep you warm at night. I added another great series to my kindle to save and reread at will.

Usually paranormal or mythical books are not my cup of tea, but this book might just be the one to open the genre up to me. I got transfixed by each page of Vex and Alea's story. This book contains heroes in all forms, demon, fairy, angel, wolf and human form. You will be swept into another world as soon as Vex is sent from the Netherworld back to earth, and will be so wrapped up in it until his and Alea's story unfolds through lots of twists and turns. It is as gritty, raw and hot as any other romance novel but contains the added bonus of mythical characters to take you into a whole other realm. I can not wait to see how all the characters stories in this series unfold.

This book is Hot! In the beginning of the book it will fill you in on how the characters ended up together. You may think it is slow going but stick with it, it gets going fast after the introduction. I loved the Exotic Ink series and claimed Tegan as my own, so if you haven’t read those go grab them too. Sorry got off course there. You can start this series without reading the other but why would you? I like that this includes the other series and even has little spotlights of the characters from Exotic Ink included so it flows nicely.

Gotta Love Off Series from First Series!!! This is That!!!
Vex is a FUNTASTICAL STORY! The realm, yes I borrowed that word, has been given new players ! Exotic Ink introduced us to Mythical Ink and the two shall be joined forever! I can't wait for Sevin's book and the next Exotic Ink book!
You have got to love a playful/protective/father figure red lighting demon! Alfa, his fairy, is quite the catch according to more than one male opinion. Come join the fun along with the rest of us INK fans!

Vex (Mythical Ink #1) by L.S. Anders was a great start to a new series. Vex and Alea were a fascinating couple. I wasn’t expecting a demon and a fairy to be a natural fit, but these two characters were made for each other. They were both strong characters in their own right, but they also had a vulnerability about them. You’ll feel their pain and insecurity as well as their love for each other and their friends. The supporting cast of characters fit well within the storyline and offered a glimpse of stories to come. This is the first book I have read by this author, and it won’t be the last.

This is a fantastic start to a new series spinning off from another fantastic series! If you love paranormal romance I'm confident you'll love this one. Even if you don't normally read/like paranormal romance, I'm pretty confident you'll still enjoy this one. It is well written, the characters are amazing, there's some twists and turns, and some hot and sexy scenes. I loved Alea and Vex together. I definitely recommend reading this, as well as the books in the Exotic Ink series.

Loved LS Anders Ink series so much and couldn't wait to read Vex!
We got a touch of the paranormal aspect in the series but just a touch...Vex is full of fairies, angels, demons! I cannot wait to see where Mythical Ink goes.
Fairies and demons don't usually mix but Alea wants Vex badly! He can only fight it so much. Holy Hot chemistry!

I am so excited to have started this series after reading the Exotic Ink series. This was AMAZING! I abso-freakin-lutely LOVED the interaction between Vex and Alea. The push and pull between these characters was awesome. There is nothing hotter than the passion between this demon and his fairy. Without a doubt, I am looking forward to the mythical happenings that will continue with this series.
