This book wasn't exactly what I expected. This is his memoirs. Compelling and entertaining, but maddening and at times heartbreaking. The corruption within government is blatant and disgusting. It isn't surprising, and yet it's still shocking to read. Especially within a city that houses the headquarters of the church. While his stories are at times sickening, the feeling of the book is not angry or vengeful. It's encouraging and inspiring. Standing up for what is right will not always be pretty, popular, or easy. But we must stand up, and if we do, God will strengthen and help us.
