They are so wrong for each other. He’s an arrogant, rich city slicker. She’s a feisty rancher. Sam knows that the sexy stranger she saved the other night doesn't belong. His pointy shoes and fancy car give him away. When she brings him home and nurses him back to health, she doesn’t expect him to turn into a houseguest. Waking up in some strange woman’s bed isn’t something new for Al, but the smart-mouthed woman who greets him in the morning is unexpected. He shouldn’t want to bed her. She’s too young and too kind for his dark soul. She’s made it clear she’s only trying to help him out. One hot kiss leads to one wild night, and before Sam knows it, her houseguest hasn’t only slithered his way into her bed but also her heart. Problem is Sam is hiding something … Al isn’t willing to walk away from the first woman in years who actually made him feel something. Too bad Sam’s best laid plans are about to be set on fire, just like the time Al threw her panties into the fireplace.
R.C. Stephens writes the kind of stories that make you laugh, cry, and believe in love all over again.
A Top 100 Amazon bestselling author, she crafts emotional, heartfelt romances full of humor, heat, and happily ever afters.
When she’s not writing, she’s probably wrangling her three kids, sneaking in a coffee date with her husband, or walking her lovable goldendoodle, who’s always by her side during late-night writing sessions.
A proud Toronto native, she loves cozy winters—but it’s the colors of fall and the first bloom of spring that truly inspire her.
I enjoyed reading Mr. So Wrong by R.C. Stephens. It was a story about second chances and forgiveness of oneself. You first meet Al in Mr. All Wrong, but this is a standalone and can be read as such.
Albert Walsh the Third feels a bit lost. He walked away from his wealthy and privileged life to live life his own way. But now almost a decade later, he is not living the life he thought. Samantha Belmont made a promise to her mother before she died. Yet years later, she is working side-by-side with her father rather than leaving and finding a different path.
When Sam saves Al’s life, she is not prepared for what she feels for him and for the first time, Al has something to fight for. I loved the past/present look at how Sam and Al came to be who they are now. They both have a past and choices that weigh on them. But once they meet, they feel a strong attraction, one Sam pushes away, but Al is determined to not let her go.
I enjoyed Mr. So Wrong by R.C. Stephens. Both Al and Sam were looking for something they were not aware off. They both try to hide so much but watching them fall allowed them to see what they could have.
I fell head first into Sam and Al's story, I loved it!.
Mr so wrong is the second book in the series and picks up from where the previous book finished with his friend and boss finding love and a new path in life, it leaves Al feeling lost, jobless and in need of a new path of his own.
When Al takes a trip to visit his sister he ends up In a ditch. With a bad snow storm and being stranded Al finds himself in a dangerous situation in freezing conditions.
Al is rescued by Sam, a rancher who lives with her father. Al becomes ill with hypothermia and Sam nurse's him back to health.
City boy meets country girl. Play boy meets play girl, two wrongs make one right.
Sam is a straight talking country girl, she's lived with her father since the death of her mother taking care of the ranch and although she's promiscuous, she's a great and loveable character.
Mr So wrong is a story of fate, a journey of self discovery for both characters with heart breaking and heartwarming back story's and its a story of new beginnings, removing barriers, and of course unexpected love.
A great story that had a completely different feel to the first book.
This is my second book by this author and I am really enjoying her writing. There's a perfect balance of hotness in the plot, likable characters and enough going on to keep you turning the pages.
Can be read as a standalone and told in first person dual pov's.
Mr So Wrong is what I would call an ideal Sunday read with very little angst or drama, no cheating and leads to a hea.

How do you overcome the trials of your past that have led to a present that you never thought would happen? This is the question that is asked in Mr. So Wrong by RC Stephens.
Samantha Belmont was just a little girl when she lost her mother to cancer. The last time she saw her mother, she made a promise to her, to leave Colorado, and go to school, and become her best person. Not to get stuck in a life and with a love that did not bring her peace, love and joy. She promised her mother this, and never saw her again. As we see after this, she did not keep her promise. She is currently working side by side with her father on the family ranch. She is not happy, and the fact that she didn’t keep her promise to her mother, ways on her.
Albert Walsh III comes from a family with money. The family business is on the Forbes list annually. Ten years ago, he walked away from his family and the business and decided to be his own man. However, his present is not looking as bright and shiny as he thought it would be. He left his best friend, the governor of Illinois, as his chief of staff, during his resigning from his position. He is feeling so many emotions because of the direction of his life, and just needs to get away and spend time with his sister until he can figure out what life looks like from here.
On his way to his sister, Albert is run off the road into a ditch, and Samantha comes to his rescue. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Love the book. Love the sort past/present and switching of the point of view from the characters. This allows you to get to know them on a deeper level and allows for the reader to understand them just that much more.
Five stars
**Review by Nikki, Late Night Reviewer for Up All Night W/ Books**
This story was a bit hard (at the beginning) to fall in love with. Al was not my favorite person in Mr. All wrong. But as the story starts to develop you get a sense why he was like he was and what drove him to be and act the way he did in his life before arriving to mountain site of Colorado.
As for Samantha; that girl was a tough cookie to swallow. I got to say I didn’t like her all that much thorough out the story. Her pushing Al away every chance she got, was too much at times. But when all her secrets are reviled and she starts seeing herself like Al saw her from the get-go and you start understanding how hard her life was? She kinda grew on me I can’t lie.
This book has it all…laughter, tears and a couple of HOT scenes that will make you blush. I just wish I connected with it more and that is why this is a 3,5* read for me.

Received for an honest review. I had a very hard time getting involved and staying with this book. I didn’t care for Al at the beginning. He slightly grew on me, but... then there was Sam who at first I thought was promising, and then turned out not to be. Even though we had both pov’s I still didn’t really know what the hell Sam was doing or why, or her actions or her reactions. One minute she was this great strong willed woman in which we can all be proud of. And then she’s acting like she’s in high school. I didn’t feel a connection between Al and Sam at all. I actually wanted to know way more about Blake than Al. And I don’t even know why there was a third guy. No point to that one. Brie flashbacks were also irksome. It had a good premise, the writing was pretty good, but I didn’t care for the characters. I liked the side characters better. I really wanted to like this one, but it just fell way too short for me. It felt like the story lost its main focus, and veered off into drama land, picked up many hitchhikers, and booted em out just in time for an hea. Sorry.
When I read Mr. All Wrong (which I very much enjoyed) I was not a big fan of Al. He came across as an entitled jerk. I was pleased to see him turn himself around in this book. I actually ended up loving him when all was said and done. The way his growth was written, literally from the very first page to the last, was so well done that it felt truely organic and believable. Unfortunately, Sam made it hard for me to get through this story. She was hard in a way that made her unrelatable and therefore unlikeable. Once all her cards were on the table I should have felt more sympathy for her, but I had already 39 chapters thinking that I didn't get what Al saw in her. And the ending just made me feel she was selfish. Overall, the story was well written, but if Al hadn't been so wonderful it would have been a total flop for me.

This is the second book in the Misters series. This is a very enjoyable read. The story is made up of alternating POV's and the past, chapters, which give great insight to what happens to mold Al's and Sams personalities. The Al and Sam, are broken in their own individul ways and have struggled with how to cope with what has caused them to be this way. Al is from the first book. He was the chief of staff for the governor of Illinois, who was also his best friend. But that job is no longer available as the governor is resigning. So he decides to go to visit with his sister at the family cabin. Only he didn't plan on driving in a Colorado blizzard. Sam works the family ranch with her father. She gave up college and stayed even though she promised her mother. She works side by side with him. Sam is driving home during a blizzard when she comes across a car in the ditch and stops to see if there anybody hurt. She finds a man who left much longer in the cold will freeze to death and already unable to wake him. She pulls him from the car, out of the ditch, into her truck and drives home with...
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Albert Walsh the Third has spent over a decade running away from his past. With no job and nothing to lose, he goes on a spontaneous drive to visit his sister in the mountains in Colorado. The simple trip proves to be more than he bargained for. Samantha Belmont is floating through life. She's cast her dreams aside and now works on her papa's ranch. One night, Sam is driving home in a snow storm after a hookup when she spots a car in a ditch and saves a man's life. She doesn't expect to develop feelings for the hot as hell stranger. Everything about him is wrong. From his pointy shoes and fancy car to his age. Pushing him away would be the smart move. Only Al can't be pushed around anymore. Maybe it's because she saved his life or maybe it is because this cowgirl is completely different from every other woman he has been with. Problem is Sam has secrets of her own. Secrets she doesn't want Al to find out because if he did he would run in the other direction. She pushes him away even though he melts her panties right off--literally. There is more than just her heart that needs protection. Al won't give up fighting for the feisty cowgirl's attention. Tempers will flare and hearts will be broken. And Sam's plan to never settle down will be torched like the inferno of passion raging between them.
When I first started this book I about had heart failure. I lost my mom to cancer when I was twenty one and this book starts with a sick mom with cancer who is dying. My heart went to my toes, tears sprang to my eyes and my first thought was no way am I going to be able to read this book. However, It wasn't what I thought the prologue was going to be and I just wanted to warn people that if the first few lines of this book have you running for the hills you can stay calm and rest assured you will make it though it. I do not under any circumstance that I can control do dying moms in books. It is just to close to home and I don't want to relive anything I went thorough at that age. I know this is a strange warning, but I figure I am not the only one laying down a book because of a dying mom. You don't want to do that with Mr. So Wrong. You will be missing one amazing book.
Albert Walsh the Third in the beginning of this book finds himself in the middle of a snowstorm in Colorado driving of all things his Porsche. He also finds himself out of a job as he was the chief of staff for the governor but his term is over and he isn't running for reelection. He also doesn't have a lot of money so he is basically running. One thing leads to another (remember Porsche in the middle of a massive snow storm) and he ends up in a ditch stuck on the side of the road. For some crazy reason he decides it would be a good time to take a sleeping pill and catch some rest but runs out of gas and doesn't even realize he has been rescued until he wakes up in a strange bed with a strange woman who is mostly naked. Sam on her way back from a hookup has found Al in his car and brought him back to her house. Now he is stuck on a ranch with people he doesn't know but with a woman he is instantly attracted too. Sam too has the same attractions but these are two people who are broken and believe they don't deserve anything good in life. You see Sam sees herself as the town mess up and she pushes people away and is working on her father's ranch. This is the one thing she promised her mom she would never ever do. But she has given up on her dreams, has a couple of guys she hooks up with and a best friend. This is the beginning of the story of Al and Samantha. It is so much fun to read and I really really enjoyed it. I rooted for these two and I knew that Sam was hiding something major but I sure never expected her secret to be what it is. Al and Sam need each other like we need air to breath. They both have issues and together they have the possibility to conquer them all and find their happily ever after. But, will Sam let this happen or will she push Al away? You are going to have to read the book to find out.
R.C. Stephens has written about two broken people due to life circumstances who you will love and root for the entire time you are reading. I wanted so much for these characters and I was not left disappointed. I could have read about them for longer than the book is. I was sad to see their book end but knew that their story was far from over and can just picture in my head what their life looks like now. This is what happens when you read an absolutely amazing book.
This is the 2nd book in the Misters series. I was excited to know this was Al’s story(he was the hero’s BFF in book 1) and what shaped him into the man he is today. In this story, he meets his lady love but he doesn’t realize that is what she is to him at first. Samantha Belmont was just a little girl when she lost her mother to cancer. After her mother died, her life just derailed and she is now finally crawling out of that black hole she was in after her mother’s death. She is working alongside her father on the family ranch. She is not happy, and the fact that she didn’t keep the promise to her mother, ways on her. Sam meets Al when he decides to go to visit with his sister at the family cabin and he arrives in the middle of a blizzard. His car had wrecked and he was in a ditch when Sam found him. There is this instant connection between them. Though Sam didn’t want there to be any connection. He is rich, drives an expensive car, wears expensive clothes –Sam knew it would be a bad idea for them to get together except Al didn’t let her push him away. Al has secrets in his past, pain in his past. Pain that seems to radiate from Sam and calls to him. Like knows Like. Al is coming from a place where he was the chief of staff for the governor of Illinois, who was also his best friend. But that job is gone (read book 1 to find out why) and Al is struggling to find where he fits now. Al isn’t about to give up a chance to woo a real cowgirl, one who calls to him on every level. But what happens when the secrets that they both have come out ? Who is going to be the casualty in their blooming love affair ? Oh this is a good one that really had me guessing until the very end. There were twists in this story which I didn’t know until it actually happened. R.C. Stephens has written about two broken people who were broken by life and circumstances. She had me not only rooting for the heroine but for Al. And like I said, I have been waiting for his story. This is a FEELS type story so make sure to keep tissues handy.
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Yes yes yes... Another book from this author... I missed her writing and I couldn't start it fast enough... Let me just say that once I started it I couldn't put it down. RC Stephens has that effect on me. Her writing is simple yet powerful, pretty detailed and engaging. One glimpse and you'll be doomed. Mr. So Wrong is her latest release and tells the stories of Sam and Albert. But I need to tell you something, Despite both books are standalones I advise you to read Mr. All Wrong. Go for it and you'll see why. Sam is a rancher and she loves it. She's feisty, stubborn and wild but behind all that hides someone with a golden heart. When she sees a man in trouble in the snow she doesn't hesitate to help him. But she's not ready for... Albert is fed up with his life. Used to live in luxury he decided to get away from it all and start a new life but years had passed and he's not there yet. When he decides to visit his sister he didn't imagine he would end up in a ditch and saved by a woman... And I'm done talking. The plot is amazing, very well written, engaging and intense. The book started in a way but soon it changed and I was getting all the answers I was seeking. These two are so broken that no one can tell if they will be OK or not. Reading this book was amazing, it was a journey between pain and sorrow as well as life and fate. RC you rock. I was waiting for this book and I was beyond happy when it arrives. But I need to ask... What's next? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live, Mr So Wrong is about Al from Mr All Wrong, and takes place after the action in Mr Wrong. After his friend decides to not run for President. Al hasn’t a clue what he wants to do. So he decides to spend Christmas with his sister Izzy in deepest Colorado. On the way there, he is caught in a snowstorm, and gets in an accident which leaves him in a ditch unable to get the car out. Along comes Sam on her way home, and she see Al in his car and rescues him. Al is suffering from hypothermia and realises Sam saved his life. This was not what I was expecting from Al’s story. Sam had a heart of gold and was a good influence on Al. This was an unexpected romance, nothing like I expected. I enjoyed the side characters, and Sam and Al were alike in many ways and they fell hard. This was a lot of fun, and it was a joy to get to know Al especially watching him falling in love with Sam. This is a funny hot sexy romance and I enjoyed it all. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Excerpt from Mr. So Wrong
I’m getting my ingredients ready to fry up some eggs when there’s a loud rasp at the door. One of my best friends, Kelly, has her nose pressed to the glass window. Her nose looks bright red kind of like Rudolph. Snow blows in circles all around her. I rush to open the door. “Kell, what on earth are you doing out of your house in this weather?” I chide. Kelly married her high school sweetheart, Gage, straight out of high school and works at the local supermarket. They have an eighteen month old son, Theo. Kelly is my age. It seems everyone in this town marries young and has kids young. I’m the exception. “I heard you found a strange man out on the highway last night and brought him home,” she says holding a pan of something in her hands. She places it on the kitchen table and rubs her hands together. “Heard he drives a nice car too.” She looks to me expectantly. It takes a lot of self-control not to roll my eyes at her and half the girls in this town, even though I love them all. Everyone is always looking for a way out of Holston; the population is minute, which means the economy sucks. If you’re not exporting out of state, you’re not surviving so well. Our ranch has always fared well, but with the lack of rain these last number of years, we’re struggling too. It’s hard enough to feed ourselves let alone a bunch of cows. “He was passed out in his car, Kell.” I huff. “I couldn’t very well leave him out there to die.” “Is he hot?” She looks at me wide eyed and a little too excited. My head moves from side to side as I ask myself if Al is hot. Hot would be an understatement. His body is rock solid and gorgeous, and he has the face of a model. Not a skinny fashion model either, but that rugged kind of model that cologne commercials like to use. Al was all man that was for sure. “Fucking gorgeous.” My cheeks turn hot at the thought of him. Kell claps her hands together, all excited. “I brought warm apple pie. I hope he likes apple pie,” she says as if apple pie is the solution to me having a hotter than hell man passed out in my bed. “Let me remind you that you are a married woman.” I smirk, just playing with her. She and Gage are tight. She’s been trying to play matchmaker for me since at twenty-three I’m the equivalent to old maid around here. I return to beating my eggs in the bowl before plopping them into a fry pan. “You don’t need to remind me. You know I got you in mind. What does he look like?” she waits expectantly. “Keep it down,” I hush her. “He looks like a movie star, thick muscles, gorgeous face, eyes that burn your skin when he looks at you,” I say, frying my eggs. When I turn to Kell, she looks flushed. “Holy shit.” She waves a hand in front of her face. “You hungry?” I ask her. “Hungry?” she repeats in a daze. “Kell?” I call to snap her out of her daze. “Huh? Tell me more,” she insists, not answering my question. “I think he has a massive cock,” I add, and she melts into the chair at the kitchen table. “Why can’t that shit happen to me?” she says, waving a hand in her face like she’s fanning herself. “Kell,” I chide. “How do you know he has a large cock?” I walk toward her and whisper that I caught a glance at his morning erection when I was standing in the corner of the room. “And you weren’t scared of him?” she asks. I nod my head. “Trust me, if you see him, your first reaction won’t be fear.” Her eyebrows raise and lower as she gives me a knowing look. I return to frying eggs. “You hungry?” I repeat my earlier question, which received no response. “I’m always hungry lately,” she sighs. My eyes turn wide at that comment. “You’re pregnant?” I gasp. I can see the excitement dancing in the depths of her brown eyes before she answers. “Due this summer.” “Aww. Isn’t that sweet,” I answer, hoping it doesn’t sound too sarcastic. I’m truly happy for her, but I don’t understand the people in this town either. We are all fighting to put food on the table, and they just continued to procreate. “Don’t sound too excited for me.” She scoffs, albeit playfully. “I’m happy for you, sweets.” I wink and begin cracking more eggs. “I’m happy for you too, sweets,” she answers with the same mocking tone. “You got a hot man staying here. Maybe he’ll be the one,” she says it with such hope I actually feel bad. I know she wants good things for me. I’ve grown up with the people in this town; we are more like close family than friends. I just don’t want the same things they do. “No man is the one for me. I’m happy on my own. I’m not settling down. I’m gonna have fun until I die.” I finish toasting some Texas toast and then join Kelly at the kitchen table. It’s an old worn in table. Everything here is old and worn. Sometimes I feel like I could relate to the old things here because at twenty-three I feel washed out too. “You gotta be sick of hooking up with Blake and Austin. Besides, you are driving those men crazy. Although I feel less sorry for Blake.” She gives me a look that says he’s an asshole—and she would know because he’s her brother-in-law. She stuffs her mouth with fried eggs like she hasn’t eaten in two weeks. Kelly was always very hungry when she was pregnant with Theo. She’s adorable now too in her pregnant state. Kell’s kind of filled in for Mack since she went away to law school then moved to New York City with her partner. “They keep me satisfied. I don’t get bored of sleeping with the same guy with this arrangement. They understand me and I understand them. What’s wrong with that?” I place my eggs on my toast and bite into it. “Nothing.” She shrugs. “I could never imagine my life without Gage. I love him. He and Theo are my life. I just want you to love, just once,” she says sadly. Almost every woman in this small town has been here at one point or another, explaining to me what it means to love. Give this guy a try, honey. Date this one, Sam. Fall in love, darlin’. Follow your heart. It won’t lead you astray. The list goes on and on. I’m pretty sure I’m not capable of love. Maybe my heart broke when Mama died and it can never be put back together again. For sure, not by a man. I like men. I find them attractive. Heck, I enjoy a good orgasm if the guy knows what he’s doing with his dick; Blake and Austin know exactly how to get me off. I don’t need more than that. “I love you for caring, Kell, I do…” I place my hand on her arm “…but I’m good.” That’s a lie. I hate working with my papa. I love him because he’s my papa, but that’s it. We don’t have a sweet, loving relationship. He never hides the fact that he had hoped for boys. Instead, he has two girls. Calls us Mack, short for Mackenzie, and Sam, short for Samantha. It doesn’t fly past anyone that we have boy names. Mack went off to college, so Papa needed me to work the ranch. When the ranching economy went downhill a few years back because of the lack of rain, I gave up a scholarship to college and stayed in Holston. It’s the one promise to my mama that I broke. “I know, darling.” She gives me a sad smile. I reach my fork out to dig into her warm apple pie because I can smell the cinnamon wafting in the air and it makes my mouth water. Kell smacks my hand. “Don’t you dare put a fork into that pie,” she says, looking mean. I laugh. She wants me to cut a nice slice and not butcher her pie. “Okay.” I get up and get a knife to cut a slice for the two of us. “No way, Sam. We are waiting for the gentleman to wake up. I made that pie for him.” She winks. Really? No words.
I’m sorry...this one was not for me...Since this book has many high ratings probably the problem was me. I just could not relate with the heroine, she was plain mean and bitchy with the hero...I get it, she had a hard background and I do sympathize for the loss of her mother when she was a kid...however that didn’t give her the right to treat the hero so badly, calling him names and acting like a complete looney. The hero should have packed his suitcase and run for the hills as fast as he could !!!
Albert Walsh the Third is feeling like a failure with no prospects for his future after his best friend decides to leave the political realm and no longer needs him as his Chief of Staff. While his family may come from big money, Al walked away from them ten years ago when he learned the truth about why he never quite felt like he fit in with any of them but his youngest sister Izzy. Needing to get away from the city and reevaluate his life, Al decides to visit his sister in Colorado. He finds his life on a major detour, however, when his porsche ends up in a ditch during a blizzard and help is nowhere to be found.
Samantha Belmont was never meant to stay in the tiny town of Holston. Raised by her older sister after her mother died when Sam was only nine, she couldn’t quite find her way out even after her sister did. Instead she found herself helping her emotionally distant father keep the family cattle ranch from going under. She’s not happy, but she’s okay. And, she never could pass up a stray . . . especially when it comes in the form of a gorgeous man passed out in his car and stranded on the side of the road during a snowstorm.
From the moment they lay eyes on each other, Sam and Al’s chemistry is off the charts hot. But between their age difference, social backgrounds and the fact that Al doesn’t plan on sticking around after his car is fixed it’s a real bad idea to act on all that heat between them . . . .
Both Sam and Al have secrets, but for the first time in his life, Al sees something more important than achieving political success and he’s finally ready to take a chance on it if he can only convince Samantha to do the same and take a chance on him. Trusts are tested and hearts are broken, but Al isn’t ready to give up the the beautiful and spirited cowgirl that’s roped his heart no matter how hard she tries to push him away.
After ready Mr. All Wrong, I couldn’t wait to read Al’s story and R.C. Stephens did not disappoint. Both Al and Samantha have tragedy in their young pasts that shaped them in to who they are today. Neither is truly open to love or relationships and are content enjoying flings until fate brings them together during a Colorado blizzard. These two characters really are about as opposite as you can be on so many levels that a relationship should never work. But, the author creates such a slow burn as the characters begin to flirt and drift towards each other like magnets that we get to enjoy this opposites attract love story.
The author did a fabulous job developing these characters and giving them amazing depth and personality. I especially enjoyed watching Al learn to embrace all the ranch had to offer, including manual labor. We also see that there is much more to Samantha that she lets on as the story develops. The side cast of characters is also very strong and help us learn alot about Sam and Al and why they are the way they are.
While this book can easily be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading Mr. All Wrong first to get a bit of Al’s backstory on just why he’s heading to the middle of nowhere in a porsche during the middle of winter. Grab your class of wine and settle in for this slow burn opposites attract romance! 5 stars!
"You are falling in love with him. Let yourself fall."
Second in the series, we followed Albert, Colton's friend from the first book and his chief of staff. After the end of the first book, where Colton abandons politics, Al is jobless and aimless. Not wanting to admit to his friend that he is in a bad situation, because he doesn’t have any savings, Al decides to visit his sister and leave the city. A luxury car, a big city boy, a blizzard, a rural town, a few sleeping pills (it was not his best idea) and a girl coming for the rescue. The confusion is armed. Al has a surname of respect. A real pedigree. But it's no use being a member of an influential family, if the concept of family is something alien to these people. Infidelity, envy, convenience and the money always being more important. Cutting ties, the only person he has contact with is his younger sister. When the political career of his friend that he worked so hard to make happen goes down the drain, feelings of inadequacy come to the surface. Al does not accept failure. And he does not know how to handle it. Sam had dreams. But she ended up stuck in the same little town helping her father take care of the farm. A life that was not what she dreamed of, but which serves as self-punishment. Until a stranger caught in a blizzard will shake her still life. Al is a good character. The time he spends on the farm makes him have a sense of how a real family behaves, even if Sam's family is far from that ideal. As he is stuck in the city, he decides to make himself useful, and starts working on the estate, which has given hilarious scenes. Slowly he ends up interested in Sam, but she is not willing to let him get close. She has no relationships. And despite stating that she does not fall in love, Al messes with her, no matter how much she denies. Sam has a secret. And I confess that you do not expect and do not find the story pertinent. When the character is with Al she looks like one person, the scenes are funny, the plot flows. but suddenly she changes and becomes someone else. I did not like the character. The long-awaited secret of secrecy had nothing, the whole city knew. What is the reason for hiding something that everyone knew about? I thought Sam's development was lost along the way. Al was a saint in this story. It took a lot of patience to deal with this woman. The couple works despite it all, the plot is interesting, but lacked more consistency in the story of Sam. Nothing that compromises the final product, but could be better.
Albert Walsh III was the Chief of Staff for the Governor of Illinois, Colton Mathis, but when Colton retires he is now lost on what he wants to do with his life. He decides to head to his sister's place for the Christmas holidays but when he crashes his car, he has no idea if he will even it make it that far.
Samantha Belmont lives with her dad on the family ranch. When she comes upon a car stuck in a snow storm she rescues the occupant and brings him to her house.
Both Al and Samantha have ghosts in their pasts that make them reluctant to enter into any relationship but will their friendship gradually turn into more? When secrets are revealed will they both lose everything?
This was a great follow up to Mr. All Wrong and I loved focusing on Al as you could tell that he was almost lost in life yet you had no idea why.
Al was a great character as he had so much hurt inside him but you never knew what he was hiding until you gradually learned about his past and understood why he was the way he was. I loved how he contributed on the ranch and was able to surprise both Sam and her dad with what he was able to accomplish.
Samantha was definitely an interesting character as there were definitely some surprises revealed about her through the book that I was not expecting. You could tell there was a lot of hurt inside Samantha and that she never followed her own dreams. I was shocked that she continued to hook up with Blake but I think deep down Samantha never thought very high of herself.
I liked how Al and Samantha started off as friends and gradually worked their way to more even though the two of them shared a bed but nothing happened between them. The two shared so many of their secrets and they just seemed to have such an openness between them. Gradually more happened but it was based on knowing Al was leaving.
There were definitely some tense moments and I felt bad for Al as he put his heart out and it didn't look good for him. I was worried about Sam for sure but it seemed to be a wake up call for her!
The end was great and I look forward to more from the author!!
A Party🍺 In The Forest🌲🌳 Is Called A WOODSY! So, So Wrong! I Kind of liked this book, but it kept jumping back and forth in time with the lives of the two main characters, which was annoying and confusing. I know it's supposed to show why the character is the way they are in the present, but I think it would have been better to have all of that At the beginning of the book. Al🐺🍆🌋 is the male character, a tall, buff💪, handsome man, of course. He's from a wealthy family, but he only associates with his sister lately. Hes currently unemployed.
Driving through the Colorado mountains in a ❄ ❄ ❄ snowstorm, he gets run off the road before he can get to a cabin his family owns. Samantha💋👩, a ranchers daughter, finds him with hypothermia ⛄, and hauls him to the house she shares with her dad.
A sweet, simmering love affair💕 begins between the two of them. Al🐺🍆🌋 finds a place where he can belong, even though he has no experience at ranching🐄. He's 35, Sam💋👩 is 23, both of them were players before he came into her life. Sam💋👩 had several "boyfriends" at one time, never letting any of them get close . Al🐺🍆🌋 was just a total player. Both of them realize after a couple of days that what is coming for them is serious. Al🐺🍆🌋 doesn't want to mess it up. He keeps telling her He's leaving after Christmas. Sam💋👩 suddenly doesn't want him to go......Al🐺🍆🌋 doesn't really want to go, either..... YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎
ARC Provided by HG for a Voluntary and Honest Review. I also bought the book with KU.
Side note. I have lived in the Grand Junction area over half my life, and it's in the desert. It's at the very eastern edge of the Great Basin Desert. The mountains are right outside town, but it takes an hour or so to get up into them where there is the kind of snow the Author writes about. So the characters trips into Grand Junction would be over an hour each way, more like an hour and a half minimum each way. So going into GJ would be at least a half day trip.
I was very disappointed in the way the book ended. The ending was So Wrong!
Mr. So Wrong by R.C. Stephens is the second book on the Mister series, with a new couple, the Governor of Illinois’s ex-chief of staff Albert Walsh III and rancher Samantha Belmont. This is a completely standalone novel too, although it does have a few references to the first book, Mr All Wrong, which featured Evie Harper and Al’s best friend, Colton Mathis, the Governor of Illinois. Al was working for Colt until he decided to step down from being Governor. Now Al’s a man without a job and with now wish to stay in Chicago, he leaves for Colorado to visit his sister. In the middle of winter. In a Porsche. When he hits a ditch and can’t get himself out, he thought that was the last of his problems. He was wrong. Samantha was supposed to dream big. She was supposed to leave her papa’s ranch and make a life for herself away from her tiny home town. It’s a promise she made to her mother, but she’s been unable to fulfil it and is stuck working for her father. She doesn’t have relationships and she doesn’t believe in love, just like Al. When Sam finds Al freezing in the ditch she picks him up and takes him home.
“Just another stray!” Her dad comments.
Stray or not, these two have a raging chemistry that they try to fight, until they can’t anymore. But they are both hiding secret hurts and have a past that haunts them. Each have trust issues and neither want to be the one to lower their guard first. I really liked this book. Sam was a bit hard around the edges but you could see where she wanted to be different. Life had made her this way. Al, well, he had his own set of problems, but his heart was in the right place. And when he loved. He gave his all. Will the city slicker become a rancher, or will the cowgirl make it to the big city and finally have her chance in the limelight? Grab your copy today and find out.
I'm a huge RC Stephens fan. She has become one of my go to authors. So, I was very much looking forward to Al's story. I wanted to love it as much as I loved Colton's in Mr. All Wrong. (I LOVED Colton & Evie!!) Unfortunately, I had a hard time with some of the plot and connection to the characters.....
Mr. So Wrong is about two completely opposite people finding just what they need in each other. We first met Al Walsh the third in Mr. All Wrong. He was Colton's best friend and right hand man. He's rich, educated and hot. He's also currently down on his luck and a bit lost. While headed to a much needed visit with his sister in Colorado, this city boy finds himself in a jam! Luckily, a beautiful young rancher, Samantha Belmont comes to his rescue....
Al & Sam may appear to be completely different on the outside, but deep down they are very much alike. Both have pasts that have shaped them. Both are going through life lost, hurting and lonely! I liked Al from the first book. I found him mysterious and intriguing. Getting deeper into the man behind the designer clothes was a treat.... As, for Samantha it took me some time to warm up to her. She's rough around the edges and her actions frustrated me at times. She was often immature and standoffish, but once her secrets and past were revealed her personality was more understood. At first, envisioning her and Al together was difficult... But deeper into their journey, I was able to see how this extremely unlikey pair, ultimately found peace and love within each other. The beginning may have been little rough, but by the end it all totally came together nicely!
Albert Walsh the Third had the world by the tail, or so he thought, but lately, he's been feeling very lost & adrift. So he decides to go off the the family cabin to stay with his younger sister to try & figure out what he wants in life, but he ends up on the side of a highway in the middle of nowhere after a car wreck, and he knows that no one will be able to get him out. Thankfully, he's rescued by a beautiful woman named, Sam, who has a big heart, although battling demons of her own. They are stuck at her family ranch while the snow rages on, and before long, their intense chemistry takes over. For Al, he really likes her, but Sam is doing her best to push him away. And that's all that I'm giving up. Mr. So Wrong was a very addictive story, with a huge side of angst to bring out all of my feels. Both Al & Sam, although from different worlds, both have pain that gives them a strong connection, and it doesn't hurt that the sparks of chemistry is shooting everywhere, which finally leads to super steamy sexy times that light the sheets up. On top of that, a colorfully entertaining cast of secondaries add some humor into the mix. I absolutely love R.C. Stephens talented writing style, and she always pulls me into every story that she writes, with this one being no exception. And added to all the other goodness that I've already stated above, there were a few twists that had the f-bombs dropping, as I never saw them coming! I hope there's more to this series, as I would especially love to see Al & Sam again, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Sam 23 saved Al 35 from freezing in his porsche. She brought her to his home and nursed him despite her father’s diapproval. Though he knew he was a bit old for her, he just can’t stop falling for her. They went xmas tree shopping and agreed to hook up. He accidentally throw her panties into the fire. Lol. Sam allowed him to fuck her bare cause she was on pill. She tried to keep their relationship purely based on sex. What’s with her ex Blake keep on demanding to see her. And Austin another one of her hook up. On xmas day, Al brought her sister Izzy to spend the xmas at her home. There was a commotion when Blake came over. She was drunk and hurt her head when she bull ride. Al took care of her and they continue their relationship. He told her that he was a bastard child. His father cheated on his mother, his highschool lover died of drug abuse, anorexism that lead to cardiac arrest. He was given a chance to join politic. When he told Sam about it, she encouraged him to take the position but hurt him when she said she will not follow him though. He met blake at the bar and found out Ethan was Blake’s and Sam’s son not her sister’s Mac and Autumn. Luckily he just not disappeared but demanded explanation from Sam. Sam said she got pregnant at 16 and Blake told her to get abortion. Sam and Al confessed their feelings. Sam eventually told Ethan that she was his mother, pursue her study together with Izzy.

Albert Walsh III has had an interesting life. He was born to privilege but chose a different path. His friend is the former Governor of Illinois who just stepped down leaving Al, his Chief of Staff unemployed. Clearly Al is at a turning point and with no job, decides to regroup in Colorado with his sister at the family cabin. A sudden snow storm and bad choice of transportation has him off course. Luckily he was rescued be Samantha Belmont who took him back to her family home till the storm passed.
Rancher Samantha Belmont had her own aspirations but life tossed her a curve ball and she put her hopes and dreams on the back burner while she helped her dad with the family and the ranch...the last place she wanted to be. She had dreams, big dreams!
The circumstances have the reader asking if this could be a cruel joke or does destiny have a hand in the possibility of second chances and a life of promise and a future where dreams have an opportunity to come true?
The good news is this is a stand alone story. The other good news is you will enjoy the journey of these two souls as they search for a life more fulfilling...and not to worry, the chemistry is off the charts! Will their pasts hold them back or set them free?
I received a reader copy and was given a really good story along with a smile.
Mr. So Wrong by R.C. Stephens is a full length, standalone novel and the second book on the series. The previous book is Mr. All Wrong, Colton and Evie´s romantic story. Meet Albert Walsh III, he´s ex-governor Matis´ best friend ansd was his chief of staff. Now he´s a nobody again, jobless and his future is uncertain. His family shunned him and the only ray of light is his little sister. He´s on the way to her when he lands in a ditch and has to be rescued from certain death. By Samantha Belmont. Samantha - Sam has had a hard life. Her mother died young and she lives with her father at the family´s farm. She works hard to make ends meet and she´s a bit rough around the edges. She doesn´t trust easily, just like Al. These two so different people hit it off right from the start. But both have skeletons in the closet. The way to their HEA is a long and hard road fro everyone. While book one is my favorite, I can´t say how much I love Evie and Colton´s story - I had difficulties to connect with Sam. Both are the typical anti.heroes and normally I´m a sucker for these kind of characters. Al is great, but Sam has a lot of grow up to do.
Mr So Wrong by R.C. Stephens is book 2 in the Mister series. It is the story of Albert Walsh III, ex chief of state to the governor of Illinois; and rancher Samantha Belmont. I’m a big fan of this author, unfortunately this story I had some issues with the plot and characters. Samantha, at times I found her to be immature and the way she constantly pushed Al away. She frustrated me. The beginning of their journey was a little tough, but the ending of their story came together nicely.
Al comes from a family with money, he walked away from the business and family ten years ago. His life currently is not going in the direction he thought it would. Al is feeling down and running away from his past. He decides he needs some time to think, he takes a trip to the mountains in Colorado to visit his sister. Luck is not on his side while driving through a snow storm his car runs off the road into a ditch. Samantha, the young rancher comes to his recuse and saves him.
Sam is young, naive and just existing in life. She lives and works on a ranch with her father, Sam pushed her dreams aside and stayed behind to help her father. She was a little girl when she lost her mother, she made a promise to her to leave Colorado; attend college and make something of herself. Sam broke that promise she’s not happy, breaking that promise to her mother ways heavily on her. Sam has a past and when it comes to light it reveals how hard life has been for her.
Mr. So Wrong was very intriguing in the beginning, it grabbed my attention ten-fold, and the end was a shocker and unpredictable for me, I didn’t see it coming, although I probably should have. I did find I was a tad confused by some of the storyline in the middle. It was all over the place and was full of unbelievable events. I just couldn’t see the things that happened as actually happening.
Al, whom we met in Mr. All Wrong, took a bit of convincing for me to warm up to him, but he was easier that Samantha. To be honest, I didn’t even remember Al in book 1, I had to be reminded about him. Guess he didn’t leave much of an impression on me. Samantha was young and troubled and just all over the place. She had definitely faced trauma in her life which made me feel for her, but she couldn’t decide who she liked or what she wanted.
I stuck with this book till the end since the author did have my wondering about where the characters would go with their lives and what their secrets were. In the end, I enjoyed the book, but it didn’t leave me with any residual emotional feelings to lament about.
Just loved Al and Sam's story. Sam being the party girl working on her papa's farm plans to never ever settle down as Albert he can't help but run from his past. In a snowstorm Al gets in a accident and Sam the party girl saves him. Sam has a rough past losing her mother at a young age. Al now has problems he has money has to give up a few things he is also the chief of staff to a governor. Al is at a crossroads in his life and doesn't really know what he wants to do and Sam is also sort of at a crossroads. Al is attracted to her but definitely does not want to be.
They both are lonely and that what binds them together but Al is leaving. What will these two do. In this story there is a lot of flashbacks from Al. I kind of wish there were some for Sam also so we can truly find out the reason she will not commit . Maybe these two finding each other may just be what they were both looking for but did not know it.
I truly enjoyed reading Sam and Al's story and how they eventually got there happily ever after which did not come easily.
I voluntarily received an arc copy of this story for my honest review.
A wealthy man named Al, who isn’t so wealthy any more, runs to Colorado to visit his sister. He runs right into a blizzard while driving his Sports car!! You guessed it, he wrecks his baby!! Al is rescued by the beautiful Sam who works a ranch with her father. She isn’t into relationships and neither is he. So let the angst game begin. Like all of RC Stephan’s books there is so much more to the story! This book is about love and loneliness. It’s about how one can carry the pain of loss from childhood into adulthood. It’s about how one can feel dismissed and unloved. This author can make you feel the feels no doubt about that. This story is multi layered and goes deep below the surface. I like nothing better then reading a book that makes me think and feel. If you have read RC Stephan’s you know how well she writes. You know the minute you pick up one of her books you’re going to be in trouble, because there is no way you will be putting it down. I truly enjoyed this book. I loved the dual pov and the glimpse given into Al and Sam’s past.
“You asked me the other night why I never settled down and the answer is because I hadn’t met you yet.” This book was not what I expected- but in a good way. It was deep, emotional and with a lot of drama, secrets and twists and turns! Sam and Al are two indicated and damaged souls who feel instantly attracted to each other but have a hard time making it work. Al is a rich city playboy tires of his old way. And Sam is the little town’s girl who is wasting away her life on her dad’s ranch... But she saves his life after a bad decision he makes in a snow storm turns deadly - and that creates the start of a slow burning romance... I loved the chemistry between these two! They were great together and helped each other be better, even if it took a a lot of back and forth! Ethan- I LOVED him! He was such a great addition to the story and was so cute! In the end, this was a great read I would definitely recommend. Lots of sexy and sassy parts, but a lot of depth to the story as well! Great book! **ARC generously provided for review** http://lynee-reads.blogspot.com
Al's story is nothing like I thought it would be. Sam is not the girl you would picture immediately with Al after meeting him in Mr. All Wrong. He is a lawyer, a right hand guy, a rich man. He drives fast cars and likes many women. When he becomes stranded in a small town he is really out of place.
Samantha is working on her daddy's ranch and just trying to keep going. Her heart has been broken many times over and she refuses to continue for that happen, no matter how attracted she really is to Al. She tries to fend him off, gives him no over and over. She keeps her distance.
Al, gosh I loved him, he just pushed and pushed. He let his heart open and it quickly was broken. He stood up to Samantha's past and gave it the finger and told her to keep going with him. He wanted to fight her demons with her. Al is the first person in her life to ask her what she wanted, if she cared, and what were her thoughts. These two grow up a lot together.
