As an avid birder, I avoided taking pictures for years because it seems overwhelming. Eventually, I started experimenting with my phone camera by itself and in combination with my spotting scope. It was an epic failure. My good friend bought a bridge camera and started attaching his pictures to our combined eBird lists. I was impressed. It seemed like an attainable goal, so I picked one up as well. I know it’s not the best tool for bird photography, but it works well with my other gear. There aren’t many resources that teach bridge camera photography techniques, so for a while I just experimented on my own. In time, my pictures improved, but I know they can be better.
After a successful birding trip this spring, I started reading books on photography basics, nature photography and specifically bird photography. I’m picking up tips with everything I’m reading, but this book is by far the best resource for my bird photography goal. I wish the author had photography classes closer to my home.
As a long time birder but not photographer, I found this book to be a great beginner to intermediate level bird photography book. However, these may come in handy in the future. He uses Cannon cameras and some of his suggestions pushed me back to my camera's manual to find the settings that he noted. That alone helped me develop additional techniques. I highly recommend this book and his uTube videos.

My only reservation is that the camera examples lean towards Canon gear (I use Nikon) and the year long calendar of birding locations is for the US only. These are only small blemishes on an otherwise enjoyable and
He quedado muy agradecido de este libro,ya que estoy comenzando en este tipo de fotografías y me ha entregado muy buenos consejos que me ha permitido avanzar muy rápido y con buenos resultados
This was an excellent guide—it helped me know the right setting for my camera specific to bird photography—to know how to compose and take pictures—and what to do in post processing digital pictures. Highly recommended.
