A book about humility is not going to be a best seller because subjects like discipline, humility, fasting and self denial do not appear to be about how great we can be. Yet possibly we need those four in our travel bag; more than anything else and ironically, with those four in our carry bag, we may be great.
The purpose of the book is to explore what humility is and is not. It touches on subjects like pride, false humility and good pride. The over-riding theme of the book is that if we have humility in our travel bag, we will be successful in every human relationship and in our relationships with the Father/Son and Holy Spirit.
There are chapters called "Humbling Experiences" and "Experiences that humble us". In the latter chapter I wrote about 3 people who seemed to have the world against them, but acted as if the world was for them. Their attitude was both humbling and inspirational.
In different chapters, examples of pride, humility and false humility in the Bible are reviewed - the message being. God wants humility but not the false humility of he type that Moses demonstrated. Overall the message is.
Humility is a winning attitude, and this attitude is not just about our self, but more importantly, about our relationships with other people and with God.
