Sometimes, the best-laid plans don’t work out the way you expect.
When law school student Amanda Simmons shows up at her friends’ engagement party, she’s not expecting to indulge in a wild one-night stand with the bride’s older brother. On the other hand, Vincent DiMartino is smart, sexy—and safe. He doesn’t want more than a quick hook-up, either.
Or so she thinks.
Vincent isn’t interested in long-term, and he has no desire for a serious relationship. His job as a pastry chef in his family’s restaurant demands all of his time and attention. His night with Amanda is supposed to be just that—one night. But he doesn’t bargain for how much he enjoys her sense of humor, her intelligence and her sass . . . not to mention her unrepentant sensuality.
Now that he realizes he wants more than just her body, can Vincent persuade Amanda to take a chance on him? Will she risk her heart on the man who was only supposed to be a fling?
Sometimes plans go awry. And sometimes, you just have to roll with it.

A story about two single people, perfectly happy with their lifestyles & had no desire to involve themselves or complicate life with romance. Amanda grew up privileged, an only child & was now a semester away from completing law school. Already working part-time at a reputable law firm, she would complete school, study & pass the bar exam & finally become a lawyer. Her history with men was void of emotion, lacked true commitment & considering her drive to meet her goals, was also a waste of her time & energy. Vincent, a pastry chef at his family's restaurant has never had a girlfriend, sleeps with women for one night only & moves on to the next. Growing up with a large & passionate Italian family, he has observed what successful relationships should look like & in spite of this he is still cemented to what he sees as a conflict-free single & enjoyable life. The two meet at a family wedding, agree to a guiltless, commitment free one night stand. There is one caveat though. They have the best sex of their lives, enjoy each other's company & have a few laughs. And weeks later, both cannot stop thinking about the other. I've read similar tropes before & they are usually enjoyable & pleasant to read. This story was no different. Except for a major family blow out towards the end, there was little angst, a lot of family interference & nosy friends offering relationship advice. I liked both MC's, loved Vincent's adorable niece & very loud family. Even during disputes, one could sense the love from these wonderful people. This is a stand alone novel with a happy ending that I wish could have given me a bit more into the futures of Amanda & Vince. This was a nice enjoyable read.

Just Roll With It is a sweet, spicy romance between a pastry chef and a law student.
Amanda is a hard-working law student in her last year of law school. She's the study hard type with two parents she loves, one who's in politics and one who's an archeologist. She grew up in a world filled with wealth and movers and shakers. She has a best friend, Giff (Gifford), another best friend, Liam, and his fiancée, Ava, who just happens to be the sister of the aforementioned pastry chef, Vincent. Amanda is attending Ava and Liam's engagement party when she meets Vincent for the second time, and sparks fly between the two. They agree upon one night of fun, and boy is it fun, but it's only to be one night of no strings attached steam between the sheets. And yet, months after the fact, the two can't get the other off their minds, so when Liam and Ava's big day happens, Amanda and Vince decide to explore what can be between them.
I loved Just Roll With It. I think the combination of two people from opposite worlds - one wealthy one filled with politics and academia, and one working class filled with loud, passionate Italians who yell at each other and love hard, is a great combination when not allowed to be too over the top or stereotypical. And Tawdra doesn't allow the opposites attract theme to ever overpower Vince and Amanda's story, instead it's there as the backbone in the background, but not in the forefront. Add in a vivid secondary cast, all of whom have their fair share of interesting, varied qualities, and Just Roll With It ended up being the perfect opposites attract romance. It's sexy, sweet and full of wonderful characters who all share passionate chemistry in one way or another. Kudos to Tawdra for this great story. I am definitely hoping there's more to come from this world.

Just Roll With It is the first novel I’ve read by Tawdra Kandle. This novel itself is the 4th in a series but it absolutely reads as a standalone also. I must admit I am a new fan of Tawdra Kandle after this great first read.
Amanda and Vincent have very busy lives, neither looking for nor having time for a relationship. Amanda is busy trying to make her way through law school and work but still missing male companionship. After seeing each other again, after about a decade, at an engagement party for her friend and his sister Amanda decides to take a chance and offer a one night stand proposition.
Vincent is extremely busy and a very well known pastry chef. He isn’t lacking in the opposite sex companionship but that is all he is looking for right now. Until he lays eyes on Amanda and starts to rethink those ideals.
While neither Amanda or Vincent are looking for or even necessarily ready for a committed relationship I love how they are both (mostly) honest and upfront with their feelings. Saying not only are they not ready but that even if they give it a try it will probably be difficult. With them both being extremely busy and given they live about 1 ½ hours away from each other, the hardship is a given. But they prove to each other, after some angst, that they are committed and want to give it a go.
I really, really enjoyed this book, rarely does the first book I read by a new author have me dying to turn the pages as this one did. I enjoyed the honesty they showed to each other (most of the time) and the family dynamic. The extended family/friend interactions had me laughing out loud most moments as well. I received a copy from Booksprout without expectations for review; all opinions expressed are my own. I now have the daunting task of going through the authors backlist to get my next read.
Without fail, this author's books have a way of taking me out of my comfort zone - in a good way! When I find that I'm in a reading rut, these books always shake me up and make me want to dive back into reading again.
This book, while part of a series, can absolutely be read as a standalone story. We meet up with Amanda, a hard working law student who has never really had or wanted a serious relationship. Her priorities are very clear and her future is essentially already planned out. Keeping the distractions minimal (usually in the form of adorably attentive friends) is pretty easy until she runs into her BFF's brother again.
Vincent is a pastry chef for his family restaurant and wants absolutely nothing to do with a committed relationship. Seems like he and Amanda should work out with no hurt feelings, but one night together ends up changing them both. Who knew that a pair so obsessed with "keeping things light" could get so obsessed with avoiding their feelings?
As these two circled around one another, there were some very real and gritty interactions, arguments, and one all too familiar family dinner. As someone who appreciates a good Italian dinner and some pastries, this book left me hungry for more (get it?)! I was so sad to have to say goodbye to this couple, especially once they got to their HEA. I will eagerly await more from this world/series and gobble it up as soon as I'm able.
Just Roll With It is the grand love affair of Amanda and Vincent. Amanda, studying to become a lawyer, meet Vincent at her best friend's engagement party. Amanda, from being around her best friend for years, knows his fiancee's family and when she sees Vincent across the room, she knows he's trouble. She also knows that he is a bit of a player and goes through women fast.
This is perfect for Amanda who only has time for a one-night stand at the moment. After leaving the party, the two hook-up and go their own ways. But neither forget that night either and there is no one else for each of them through the wedding. Where they hook-up once again.
But this time, they decide to see where this will go without telling their friends and family about it. And things go quite well for them until they decide to share what they have with their friends and family. Amanda is invited to Vincent's family dinner where things come to blow and he says things he wishes he didn't. Leading them to break-up.
But Vincent talks with his family to work through his blow-up at them and with the help of her best friends, they get back together.
Life can throw up unexpected surprises to you at any time it likes. And it usually does. It was only supposed to be a party for her friend's engagement party. Her hunky older brother was only supposed to be a one time fling. That's all. Nothing more. But when Vincent can't get Amanda out of his head and he knows he loves everything about her, he also knows that he must do all he can to persuade her to give him a chance at something more. But Amanda is a student and not needing anything more. AT least, she didn't think she did till she met HIM. Beautifully written with passion and fun. These two characters come 'alive' as you turn page after page. So much so that I just had to find out if they could get their own HEA. Tawdra Kandle really knows how to pull you into her storylines with her wonderful writing style. I really enjoyed this story and look forwar to reading more of her stories. Tawdra Kandle has done it again! She has written another FANTASTIC novel full of wit, humor and this time, great “dessert.” If you are not familiar with her work she writes characters that are relatable, humorous and tend to have HOT, STEAMY sex.
Even though this is the fourth book in the “Perfect Dish Romances” series it can be read as a standalone novel. So don’t let that stop you from reading this delicious book.
I don’t want to give too much of the book away, just know that the main characters, Amanda and Vince, have hot chemistry from the moment they meet, again, at an engagement party. It’s from this point on that their, sweet, hot story unfolds. You MUST read this book to find out the rest of the story. I don’t this you will be disappointed - I know I could not put it down.

A really good contemporary romance.💞
I truly enjoyed this book! It made me laugh, cry, giggle, and sigh at different points throughout it and that's a great book to me.😍
Amanda and Vincent are more alike than they think despite their families and jobs. Amanda is a year away from graduating law school and taking her bar exam and totally focused on her goal. Well... almost totally. She admits she needs a bit of loving and decides that her friends older brother will do nicely. Vincent is a pastry chef for his families restaurant and has decided that he wants Amanda for the night because she agrees it's a "one-time deal". Yup... a "one-time deal"... what could go wrong?🤣💗
This book is really well written and the characters are really well developed.💕
Wowza - this one is one of the steamier books - especially in the beginning. Amanda and Vincent are acquaintances, sort of, that meet again at his sister's engagement party. Let's just say the chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS!!
Vincent is a bit of an arse, but he has potential. Amanda is a headstrong woman who knows what she wants even if she's a little gun shy about relationships.
You don't have to have read the other books in this series, but you'll enjoy catching up with all the characters - Julia and Jesse are my faves, but this one includes more about Ava and Liam (since Vince is her brother).
Good enjoyable read with plenty of steam!

I received a complimentary copy of this book with no requirement for leaving a review. This review is being left voluntarily and any and all thoughts are my honest opinions on this book and the authors work. This book seemed to come alive for me and seemed based in real life. The characters were believable, relatable and had real life qualities. The writing was smooth in its delivery and flowed flawlessly from page to page. There seemed to be a battle of wills going on which led to the chemistry being that much hotter. You could just feel the connection and that it would be a HEA from their personalities. Plenty of knocking heads, given way to plenty of amazing steam.

What a delightful read. Not your typical main female character. Very interesting for her to take the lead initially. The main male character was very yummy but needed to mature a bit which he did throughout this novel. Very heart-warming family scenes. Well depicted family characters, good times, good friends and much, much love. Left with warm feelings inside after reading this novel. I highly recommend this book.
Side note: I liked the graphics used to start new paragraphs. It is a nice touch!

Just Roll with It by Tawdra Kandle Amanda and Vincent are not looking for a long term relationship or a relationship of any kind. Just a one night stand is the plan but life does not always go according to plan. Vincent the playboy is surprised when he realizes maybe his feelings are more than he is familiar with or comfortable with when it comes to Amanda. Could she be the girl that will change his ways? Amanda knows Vincent's reputation so when she starts to think of him as more than a one night stand she refuses to let herself indulge in those thoughts. Or risk getting hurt. A humorous romance with characters you will love.
The title definitely fits this story. I enjoyed reading this, great characters, both very independent, bold yet relationship shy. Their story is very entertaining and intense as they try to figure out what and/or if there is anything more. I like his determination and drive, they have some growing pains and I was rooting for them but they have some realistic issues to iron out as roll with it and rub one another the right and sometimes the wrong way trying to figure it out. I like her family, they are nosy but practical...his family...well only the strong survive. :) I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just Roll with It is the fourth in the Perfect Dish series. I have not read any of the previous books and it really didn’t matter. You can enjoy this one whether you have all the backstories or not. Two committed single adults meet for the second time at an engagement party, they decide to discreetly leave together (which isn’t as successful as they think) and get more than they bargained from. Just Roll with It is a quick and entertaining almost opposites attract story with a dose of steam. The DiMartino family is a hard-loving, typical old-fashioned Italian family that I think I may just want to go back and get some of those backstories on.
Vincent and Amanda remind me of the old joke: “how do porcupines mate? Carefully.” This pair have so many guards and defenses in place to protect themselves that they resemble porcupines, all bristling and spiky. I fell in love with them as they fell in love with one another. Peeling back the layers and getting progressively more vulnerable with one another. Their story is sweet and spicy and there are moments that are altogether silly. I loved it and I’m sorry that it’s over already. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
This was a really fun hot and steamy read and I really enjoyed it.Amanda and Vincent are both busy with their careers and neither one has time for a relationship meeting up after not seeing each other for years they have a hot night together realizing after that they want something more they try to make it work. This was a good read it is the fourth book in the series but can easily be read on its own
He's the older brother of one of her best friends. He's a cocky, irrating jerk that has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. She's a law student in her last semester of school. They had met one before and it didn't go well. Now they are at his sister and her best friend's enagement party. Both agreed to one night, nothing more! But why can't either one of them forget it?
Both Amanda and Vincent are single and happy with their lives. Well so they believe. At Ava, who is friends with Amanda and also Vincent’s sister, they have a one night stand. They both agree that’s all either want, but if that is the case why can’t they stop thinking of each other? Will they both admit they want more or will they be stubborn and lose what they have found, love?

Another great story from Tawdra. Amanda and Vincent are both happy with their single lives. This is definitely only going to be a one night stand. Or is it? Some time you can't fight your feelings no matter how hard you try.. A really enjoyable romance that takes you through the whole range of emotions. Definitely not to be missed. Loved it.

This book can be read as part of the series or as a stand alone book. The characters are well developed and believable, the story is well written and smooth flowing. The author does a great job with pulling you in and holding your interest from the start to the end. There's definite chemistry and connection between Amanda and Vincent that adds more interest to the story.

When these two characters meet you know it's going to be explosive. For them to move forward there is going to have to be some serious bending of thought processes for both of them. It's a perfect story. You get your HEA. You get your stubborn strong female, and you get the handsome guy that is just stubborn enough right back.
This is a great read. It was well written, had a wonderful storyline and characters. Amanda and Vincent have a connection and want to deny it. They have plenty of heat and steamy chemistry. Will they quit being stubborn and let their feelings for each other win. I received it as an arc and voluntarily reviewed it.
things do not always happen the way people expect. she just wanted one wild night and she had it but he wants so much more. can he help her see that she should try with him? follow and see if they will make a go of it

This was a fantastic book with extremely stubborn characters. The sparks just ignite that much hotter when they do finally give in. I loved the flow of the book and the overall writing is great! I loved it!

When fate has its own will and the one night stand turns out to become more than that. Vincent is not the one to have a relationship until he meets Amanda. She is different in all ways and just the one for him. But can they both open up and let each other in? A romance that is well written. It has a nice storyline and plot. Great length and hot chemistry. Enjoyable read.
See what I did there? Anyway, this story was sexy and sweet all wrapped up in confectioners sugar. It did feel like it was missing a little something but I’m not sure what. Like there was no major conflict or something... I don’t know. But it’s a good read and well worth your time if your looking for a feel good romance.
Vincent is from an Italian family and is the pastry chef at his parent’s restaurant. Amanda meets him at an engagement party . She goes to law school . They agree on a one night stand . Not sure I’ve ever read such a conversation about getting ready to have s fling ! It’s nice to see the relationship grow.
The story starts out with a typical males point of view, then takes on the females and a romance starts to blossom. It's a great journey to read and experience. The recipes enclosed look really good. Enjoy the read and eats.
