This is a description of the findings of excavations by the University of Chicago at the Kincaid Site in Pope and Massac counties, Illinois. Kincaid is a Mississippian site with many mounds located about a mile north of the Ohio River. The excavations took place during the 30's and 40's by University of Chicago students and the Works Projects Administration.
