I loved kyanite so much. His broken face hid a broken heart and the heroines love and acceptance was a soothing balm on his soul, restoring his sense of worth. It was magnificent.
This book would’ve been PERFECT and i would’ve given it 5 stars had it not been destroyed by one ugly, gross turn off. Like splashing cold water onto a fire, condom use. JUST NO. NOOOOO. Condoms are always a huge NO for erotic, heartfelt, soul-connecting romance. It’s a barrier between the most intimate joining, preventing not just the sharing of each other’s most messy moments, the wetness and the heat, the skin on skin, becoming one flesh, but the emotional disconnect in placing that barrier there. Putting ugly, unnatural latex between you and the one you love. It’s saying “you’re not good enough to be completely bare with me.” It’s grotesque and should never EVER be used in romantic fiction. He doesn’t give her his passion, instead erupts inside a disposable sheath that’s barred him from her. Because of this the sex scenes weren’t intimate or passionate, it was tarnished and the soul connection between the MCs was severed. It was a true shame because an otherwise beautiful love scene was destroyed. And the hero felt that. He had more sense than the heroine and mourned the loss of that bareness and connection. And the author writes him as castigating himself for being “greedy.” Ughh. No. He SHOULD be greedy. He should want EVERYTHING between them. He should want the best. A condom isn’t the best. He shouldn’t have settled for crumbs. Or been happy at being separated by ugly gross latex. Kyan instinctively understood what was missing even while the silly, stupid heroine didn’t.
It’s very disappointing because this author has done a great job in writing these scenes before but she really failed this time.
So while the story was good, the sex scenes were absolutely horrible and tarnished.

Kyanite is investigating how a human got his hands on the medkit that had been used in the torture of his brother Pyro and so he made his way to the hospital to find out if one of the 3 medkits is missing. He meets Laura who is a nursing assistant and is instructed by the charge nurse to show Kyan to the floor where the Suite where the medkits are being kept for the Dragons. Laura finds that she is very attracted to Kyan as she has not been to another man since she had been attacked. She cannot help asking questions of him even though he tries very hard to keep her at arms length because he thinks she is like everyone else who seem to be scared of him because of his face which is all scared up they find the 3rd medkit and she believes she will not see him again but just so happens that the aristocrat that comes from Draconis is Sard Carnelian's brother vice present Chrysoberyl and he is more arrogant than is older brother who was called back home. He is up to no good and when Kyan checks a bag on his luggage it explodes but Kyan gets to Chrysoberyl and he gets a coffee burn that he wind about until Kyan took him to the hospital where Laura took care of him and when he was leaving something fell from his pocket he claimed it wasn't his until Laura said she would ask Kyan and he made her get on he knees and look under the bed to make sure nothing else was lost but when she got up he was gone but there was something strange on the tray with the salve she put on his hand but she didn't have any idea what it was when Kyan came back to the room the banana looking object started ticking and kyan had to save her or she would have been cut to pieces. when he came back again he found out that her brakes on her car had been tampered with and that someone broke her window he had found out that the humans against dragons were after her he came to the hospital and took her to his lair and left her there. Laura was not happy about being there by herself, he had to come down from his office and he showed her some of his things and then while she was there alone one day a ship came and was shot down she went out to see if she could help and while she was helping the guy in the ship the lair was destroyed by a bigger ship a ship that belonged to Chrysoberyl's uncle. This was an excellent romantic action adventure for me and totally enjoyed it. Best one yet in the series. I was given a copy as a gift from the author. I am providing an honest review without obligation.

Oh. My. God. Kyanite is A DAMN swoon worthy, sweet, and irresistibly appealing hero! At first glance, you would assume Kyanite was a brutal and cold dragon, but honestly I thought he was anything but cold. He had such a sweetness and caring to him that was buried underneath a pile of abuse when he was younger. I loved how he took Laura's protection seriously. He locks her up in his lair to keep her safe and it kind of made me melt! He comforted her when she needed it but also did something incredibly amazing for her...made her be bold and believe in herself and stand up for what was right. And Laura she was such a tender, beautiful, sweet woman and I think made the BEST mate for Kyanite.
These Dragon VIP stories are REALLY tempting, addicting and all out charming! The fact that these Dragon shifters are so different than other dragon shifters I have read from other authors puts a extra soft spot in my heart. These dragons and their ways and the fact that they are still learning human customs make is incredibly moving. And Kyanite and Laura are my favorite couple too! These two have plenty of chemistry, sweet awkward moments that made me sigh, smile and purr (I didn't know that was possible! LOL) and the sex is just as soul shattering good and perfectly adorable. The romance and all these delicious dragon ways and their lairs and customs are so special and intriguing. It sparks a light inside me that I don't think could be duplicated by any other dragon shifter story. And that right there is IMPRESSIVE!

This story focuses on Kyan, a weredragon and Laura a human nurse. Your heart will melt as you come to understand Kyan and his painful history. Bullied, abused, neglected and scarred when he was a child, he grew into a strong, skilled soldier. Now, after reuniting with his siblings, he serves as their company's head of security and their protector. He seems cold, detached and stoic but that really is just a cover for the wounded soul inside him. Resolute in his belief that his scars make him unworthy and unlovable, he is shocked when Laura shows an interest and attraction to him. Laura, has her own past bad experience that effects her thoughts and actions and is shocked at how safe Kyan makes her feel. Their romance is full of some very sweet and poignant moments and some steamy ones. With drama, danger, suspense, and humor, the well written book offers an engaging storyline, lovable characters, and an entertaining plot. I loved Kyan And Laura's romance and can't wait for future books in this series.

Can two people with confidence issues find true love?
I read the first two a while ago and decided it was time to return to this world for a visit. I am glad I did. I love that I could jump back in a feel a home. Give this author a chance. If you like mermen then I suggest you try her other series too.
Kyan is an introvert. Because of what happened to him as a child he has many scars. He doesn't believe that he is worthy of having a human mate. He is next in line to marry the Empress.
He meets Laura when he has to search the hospital she is doing her clinicals n. He is searching for the Medkits that hurt Pyro and she is his escort. She has a confidence issues except when she is with him.
Someone or some group is attacking an aristocratic dragon while she is present. Then the cultists are involved in more unprovoked attacks.
Kyan and Laura must get past all of the miscommunications in order to find the truth in the attacks and in their personal feelings toward each other.

This was my favorite so far out of the series. I loved Kyan! I wasn't sure how I would feel about Laura, but she was a great counter-point to Kyan. I really enjoyed seeing the emotional growth, both in an individual sense and the relationship, that both Kyan and Laura go through. Although I'm not usually a big fan of Big Misunderstandings causing drama between characters, with these characters it works because it doesn't just come across as a plot device, but rather part of their growth.
After reading this book, I'm really looking forward to Amber's book (at least I'm hoping!). She is so demur until someone really ticks her off and then the real Dragon comes through, a relationship with her is going to take some serious balancing.

Dove right into this one and I felt badly for Kyan immediately. His brutal childhood in the orphanage pulls at my heartstrings. This can be read as a standalone. A 3.5 star book, Kyan and Laura's interaction are sweet. Laura medical training definitely played a part to this story and I enjoyed how her skill set was used to help both Kyan and fulfill her dreams. Learning more about the different factions making up the Dragon world helps develop this story more.
I like Kyan because he is a special ops guy. His paranoia and need for security seems over the top and I totally appreciate it. I am also finding myself wondering more about their competitors and see there is a series dedicated to them. I look forward to reading that series after I finish this one. This series is like candy for my brain. I am binge reading it and will most likely end up with a major book hangover.

Another great addition to this series. A good storyline and characters. Kyan is a scarred lonely warrior protector who doesn't believe he deserves a happily ever after so when Laura comes along he feels like he must do something to keep her away. Unfortunately, with the approaching danger to her and mankind he has to keep her close. This action, steamy suspense will have you hooked from beginning to end. I was completely enthralled. No thanks to Chrysoberyl, Laura is now on the run. Kyan comes to her rescue and she is enjoying every bit of protection he is offering. These super hot passionate scenes will leave you breathless. You should definitely get this book you won't regret it.

Reason why I Love this book is Kyan. His vulnerability and insecurity is why I fell in love with his character. I hate what happened to him it shouldn't happen to anyone especially a kid because of it he was closed off from everyone even is family. I am glad he met Laura. I love that her character Loved him and didn't care about how he looked or anything she accepted him. When he didn't believe she was attracted to him and that she could care/love him she faced him head on and proved it to him(I loved when she did that and his reactions [CUTE] ^.^ )!

What a charming story. Kyan and Laura are quite the interesting couple 💑. Laura is a nurse and literally wears her feelings on her heart ❤ and Kyan is reserved and a soldier. This is the third brother and novel in the series but is a standalone novel. The plot will hold and keep the reader's attention and interest. The characters are well developed and written. Laura 's openness is refreshing. When Kyan finally understand, it is a rare treat. A very good read. 👍

Dragon VIP: Kyanite, Starla Night's 5th book in the series 7 Virgin Brides for 7 Weredragon Billionaires, is another hit for the series! Kyan must let someone break down his defenses or risk losing it all. Laura is just a nurse, but can she break Kyan and heal him enough to save him? The storyline remains entertaining and fast-paced, filled with adventure, intrigue, danger and romance. The characters continue to develop and become more endearing. Can't wait to continue with the series and see where the story goes!

Still Enjoying the Series!
Good writing, imaginative personalities, and exciting circumstances, are all elements that have kept me plowing through this series and leaving a couple of partially -read books on the shelf. I love reading the difficulties of merging a couple of beings, foreign to each other, yet magnetically and romantically drawn inexorbitingly to each other. Give me those elements, with a little x-rated eroticism, and I can usually lose myself in a well-written story. I continue loving this series. Enjoy!

Another awesome addition to this series. He is a warrior and a protector. But he is scarred both mentally and physically and feels he does not deserve anyone so he puts a shield around his heart. Along comes a nurse who he meets and they are attracted to each other. But he pushes her away until trouble comes. This is exciting, suspenseful, emotional, fun and so much more. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Took a star off for grammar errors. This is my favorite story so far in the series! My only wish is the next book has a woman who is more feisty and stands up for herself more. I will be looking into the next book. Oh I don’t like reading the novellas of each book because it’s set in the future and all though it does not give away detailed information, I like to read each brother first then the future stories after everyone has paired off.

This had some twists and turns I hadn't expected, but I enjoyed it a great deal. The FMC and MMC both had wounds to deal with (Physical in some cases, emotional in both cases). The doubts were shown to almost ruin things and I think that is a good thing to show in books because sometimes our own fears can cause issues in relationships and we really need to communicate more. Can't wait to start the next one.

This book is one of the few I have read that addresses the scarring left behind by bullying.
Khan has scars on his face left by bullies in his childhood. They make him stand out in his society. He thinks no one will want him. Man is he in for a surprise, Laura has to work hard to get past his barriers but it's worth it.

The book was good because the characters annoyed me that they couldn't communicate. Ugh, but that is the world of dragons and humans, they hold different traditions. I was originally only going to read this book because they can be read as standalone. However, the writer has sucked me in and I have to read about the other 6 family members. Let's go!

This is book 3 in the Dragon VIP series and it was a really wonderful book. I have waited for Kyan and Laura’s story...it was amazing. The story of how he received his scars is so hurtful, but Laura is an amazing mate and healer. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.

a fun and excellent book 3
Book 1 was great, really hooked me in. I wasn’t as excited by book 2, but it was still a good enough read that, while I took some time off to read other things, I came back for this book and do not regret it!
