Aurora knows the truth about her past. Just as she came to terms with the truth, she's awoken at gunpoint by the very boy who has thrown her entire world off balance. He's unpredictable and dangerous, and her group of rebels can’t let him go now. They have to find the final piece of the pendant, hoping that the one who holds it can tell them what comes next. Aurora soon learns that there's more to her brother than meets the eye. Confronted with someone from his past, Aurora knows her fate rests in his hands. But when allegiances are tested, is blood thicker than water?

I have read the 3 books from the series and this one is by far my favorite!!! I LOVED this book. So unpredictable. I loved the ending. I was so shocked. Great Great book. I couldn't stop reading it. Definitely recommend this book.
Three books in, and I'm still on the edge of my seat. The pace never seems to slow as we follow Aurora and her friends around this dystopian world of LJ Higgins' creation. I love stories where the villains are more than just cartoony and skin deep, and this series has several of them. In Arcadia, we delve deep into the background of Aurora's brother Seth, and how his unfortunate circumstances led him to the "dark side" (so to speak). I find myself hoping that he and Aurora can somehow patch things up and become family again... but I wonder that with all that's going on, they may never find themselves on the same side.
Bring on Book Four! This series is getting gooooood!
This series just keeps getting better and better. I love Aurora and her little band of rebels. In this book, we get to see a ton of her unknown brother, Seth. He's the family she never knew she had and now she's not so sure she wants anything to do with him. What do you do when he's working against you at every turn? But Seth has had a hard life and there's more happening inside his head than he'd like us to believe. He's a complex villain who may not be a villain after all and I love that. If you like post-apocalyptic worlds, you won't go wrong with this ones.
Each new book in this series just gets better and better. I end up devouring them in as few sittings as possible because they're impossible to put down. In Arcadia the plot thickens, it's impossible to know who to trust outside Aurora's group and the suspense is just a killer. Some question are answered, even more are uncovered waiting to be answered. Excellent series. I voluntarily received an ARC of this book.
This was a breathtaking sequel to this series. Aurora was given proof that she had a brother and who it was . But he is entrenched in Prophet Brent’s brainwashing . Can she and her friends really trust Seth, her proven brother. We can’t really find out until the very last chapter as Aurora and her friends follow their quest to obtain all parts of the pendant. This is most definitely one of the most tense and exciting adventures I have read and I can’t wait to read the concluding book.
Secrets upon secrets and more fast-paced action in this instalment of Aurora's journey. Relationships deepen, some sever, and some become more than expected.
There's only more to come, and I can't wait to see what LJ higgins has in store next.
A brilliant read, LJHiggins has continued to keep me enthralled. Aurora and her friends continue to create a strong bond. And we can only hope the end goal to bring down the Elite leaders to account. Loved it.
Awesome book. Seth is featured a bit more and we have to feel empathy for Aurora. She really gets the short end of things. Loved this story as well as the others. Ready for more.
This series continues at a similar pace, especially compared to book 2. The characters physically cover quite a bit of ground in their travels and meet many obstacles along the way.
I like the evolution of Aurora and Fletcher's relationship. The openness that they finally share is refreshing and their focus on never losing their solid friendship is lovely.
LJH brings in some interesting twists along the way and creative solutions to allow Aurora and her friends to get out of harrowing situations.
I still feel the same about "Elite" and "Utopia" (replacements for "God" and "Earth" in explitives) and comments about things like finally seeing cars and them being the way earthlings used to get around. Again, 16 years isn't so long that they wouldn't be familiar with wheeled transportation. I know that the floating cities were small and people walked everywhere, but they had to have motorized options for transferring people and goods when they have helicopters and essentially futuristic air travel options.
The other piece that wasn't as strong as I had hoped was quite a bit of the dialogue - it felt really predictable.
I received a copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.
A nice story for young adults about a group of teenagers out to make the world right again. They face many challenges not just from the bad guys but also personal ones such as brainwashing by those who hunger for power. They also suffer the loss of loved ones which made heart ache for them. The book ended with an unfinished goal leaving the reader anxious for the next book. I highly recommend this book for all young adults and those who still feel like one.
More adventure and more heartbreak. Just when you think you know what's going to happen a new kink or twiat happens. And I am so looking forward to what i hope will be a HEA and healing for all the characters.
The group of eclectic youngsters are on their quest to beat the dictatator. Now Aurora has found her twin brother they seek a way to bet the pendant into the computer to reveal the truth to the oppressed people in the floating cities.
Words cannot even describe how much I enjoyed this book. The story itself is so amazing, so thrilling and engaging, it is hard to put down. Eagerly anticipating how the series continues.
Solid 4.5 star I just loved how this book flowed easily from the last one, we get to find out more about Seth and you can't help but feel for Aurora as she just seems to get blow after blow of nothing being what she thinks. Just when you think there have been enough surprises, lies and twists in the first 2 books more comes out in book 3 to keep you hooked. The way Aurora and her friends grow and adapt to whats going in around them as well as with in them is great as they have to face that life is never easy and hard decisions need to be made. I always think a great series is one where in every book you read you are still glued to the pages and the story is forever evolving and this series is definitely one of those.
I like the premise of the series but with so many spelling mistakes and grammar issues, it really makes it hard to read. And each book gets worse with it. Entire paragraphs could easily be rewritten to make it sound more professional, and not the work of a 16 year old who has never heard of an editor.
