Giran is a unique collection of poems... the script is roman but the language is Hindi and that comes with a mix of Urdu. You cannot skip your attention from the book as it captures your very mind... the poems are mostly melancholy but there are the poems like Meri Ma, Manzil and Chalo Aj Ek Nayi Patang Udate hain... these poems are emotional, motivational and wonderful. I have not read any book with such experimental dare... Sahil's poetic depth is to be commended and likewise, his art of poetry should also be praised. I am sure readers will like this book a lot!

The author 'Sahil Miglani' is an intellectual poet and a song lyricist. His manifesto 'Giran: Priceless Memories" is quite an unusual poetic compilation of words, vision, emotions and deep solicitude. His creativity with the words turns the world's most negative impressions into a beautiful undeniable positive wonder. For instance, his word from the poem "Uphaas":

"Berang si hai ye duniya, yahaan na koi apna, na koi paraaya,

Na koi manzil hai, na koi kaarwaan.

Tanhaa iss safar mein, hasne do koi hasta hai toh."

This book is a solid mixture of a pinch of love emotions and emotions of attaining highest self-power as mentioned in:

"Muqaddar se nahi bante raaste,

raaste bante hain iraadon se."

The Author narrates the emotions through his pen-power overtly well to the people of all groups and ages who otherwise are not comfortable sharing their thoughts. The book is quite provocative and can make one think over and over again about one self's vivid imagination and the secrets that he/she has never revealed to the world.

What may amuse the reader is the selection of the poetry that starts with silence (Khamoshiyan) and ends with childhood (Bachpan). It traverses from all the stages of life flamboyantly. Though, if the reader chooses to read the poetries by linking them to the life pattern, they might find a beautiful connection between each of them. Though the placement of the poetries could have been ordered properly to make it more readable and equally understandable, the Author had tried his best to keep the liveliness across.

Also, the book can be classified more as a prose and hence is an interesting verse to read: Short and jubilant. For a special reviewer pick and to know the heart of the Author, one can read "Meri Maa" (My Mother) which has a beautiful ardent contour.

"Meri aankhon mein chipa har raaz, woh pal mein he samajh jaati hai,

Meri zindagi ka lamhonko phoolon sa mehkati hai,

Meri Maa..."

All in all, the book is a delightful read..!

Title: 4.5/5
Blurb: 4/5
Presentation: 4/5

Final Rating: 4/5

The cover of the book is as simple as it can be. Its colourful, reminds me of my childhood and fun during that time.

The title "Giran" is apt, it means priceless, so are the topics of poetry it talked about.. This book talks about the priceless memories like love, self love, hope and sunshine and beautiful memories.

The blurb is delightful and engaging, as it talks about the poetry based on the priceless memories of the author.

This book has 31 poems, ranging from ek milawat khud se, sawera, bachpan, etc. Each Poem with a soul of its own, with its meaning and essence.

All the poems are constructively profound, yet some poems manage to touch your soul. In fact, I loved a few that I am quoting some lines from the book,

"Raat mein hua sawera, Din mein taaron se baat hui. Aaj meri khud se mulaqaat hui…"

"Aasman mein parindo, ka paimana nahi hota, Jo haar ko hara de, woh manzil se begaana nahi hota…"

This book reminded me of the hope and sunshine with which I started my career once.

I would recommend it to people who like to read simple poetry, this Book is for you.

Giran
I heard this word for the first-time so don't know the meaning of it

Anyways it is a collection of short poems which reflects our childhood, our friends and our loved ones

Childhood is always special for me and few poems in this helped me recall my childhood friends

It's in Hindi language but written in English alphabet font and not Devanagri which disappoints me

I would have liked it more if poems were bit longer

Sometimes I felt I am reading Whatsapp forwarded messages still there are few poems which I loved the most like
•Aaj meri khud se mulaqaat hui
•Baadalon ka garajna na jane kya is ishara de jata hai
•Chehchahate hue pakshi
•Subah ke pehle severe mein

I would recommend this as a Sunday Read

A book full of nostalgia and feel good snippets

Ratings: 4/5

The poems in this book depict a wide array of feelings and quite admirably so. Read this one if you’re a lover of Hindi poetry and language.

What I liked about the book:
—> The beautiful cover.
—> Light and quick read, and yet an impactful one.
—> It covers a wide range of topics.
—> Has abstract as well as rhyming scheme poems.
—> Absolutely loves the poems titled ‘Chalo aaj ek nayi patang udaate hai’, ‘Ek Dost’, ‘Uphaas’ and ‘Manzil’

What I did not like about the book:
—> It would have made a deeper impact in Hindi text rather than using English text for Hindi.

Quotable quotes:
—> Chalo aaj ek nayi patang udaate hai.
Palkon mein basse khwabon Se,
Naye rishtey sajate hai.
—> Dooriyon ko hum waqt pe
Kyun chod dete hain,
Ek doosre se muh kyun mod lete hai.
—> Yaadon mein base ho,
Nigahon se kab jaoge.
Zehen mein chhipe ho,
Iraadon se kab jaoge.
Un rahon Se kab jaoge,
Khwabon Se Kab jaoge,
Marham toh nahi laga paye,
Par zakhmon Se kab jaoge.
—> Dekha hai us dost ko aaj, ek aise mukaam par,
ke usse ab aankhein main mila na paya.
—> Bereham si hai yeh duniya,
Bewajah mazaak udaati hain,
Baat baat pe taane de jaati hain
—> Muqaddar se nahi bante raaste,
Raaste bante hain iraadon se.
Chattano se nahi rukti aandhiyan,
Na rukti pahadon se. Hausla ho toh milti hai manzil,
Nahi milti manzil haar jaane se…
—> Kuch apne mile the jo apne na the,
Kuch begaano Se dil ki baat hui.
—> Zindagi ki raah mein,
Mushkilein milengi har kadam,
Apne na saath de toh,
Gairon mein dhoond lo hum dum…
—> Chalo aaj koi geet naya gungunaate hain
Muskurate hue palon ko phir sajaate hain,
Chipe hua aanshuon ko bhulatein hain,
Nayi ek duniya phir basaate hain,
Aaj phir ek naya sawera hai…
—> Andhare mai kyu rehte ho,
Ujaalo mein aa jao,
thoda sa muskura jao.
Ilm Nahi hai toh naseehat na diya karo,
Andharo ne mujhe panah di hai,

Poetry is wonderful... and this collection of Hindi poems, written in Roman script, is for the modern, young, and 21st-century poetry readers who cannot cope with the Hindi script or the Devnagiri script. That might be a problem for the hardcore Hindi readers as well... still, as far as my reading experience is concerned, I enjoyed this poetry collection a lot and I did not have any problem decoding it. Many poems are of many occasions and having many different ideas and emotions. The ones that are centrally emotional will appeal to the heart and others which are intellectual will force the readers to think what the author wants them to think. A very suitable read for socialite readers...

A great work by the author.
The collection of Poems in this book "Giran ~Priceless Memories" truly justifies the title of the book.

The phases, and the different aspects of life are explained so simply in this poetry book. I am in awe with the writing skills of the writer. You have explained everything so simply, be it about Love, heartbreak, family or any other thing that we are missing today in our life.

The poems like "Kab Jaoge", "Wafa", "Adhoori Mulaqat", "Mujh Mein thoda sa tu", "Apna", "Sukoon", "Aansoo" have really touched my heart. Every poem has it's own meaning and depth if a person reads it that way, and takes in the gist of the same.

This is the perfect blend of emotions and situations of life.

A MUST READ!!

THANK YOU dear author, for this wonderful book.

Giran is a beautiful collection of poems that speaks emotions, friendships, love, childhood, dreams and much more. The word 'Giran' means priceless. The book title is apt with the content. Every point I felt I am reading Gulzar Saheb works.

This book is a fabulous work by author the way shayari's are written touches my emotions. His poetries which speaks many words(Darkness, Loss, Love, Tears) is eloquent and powerful.

Some of my favorite compositions;

🌺 Jo baaton mein na keh paya kabhi,
Nazron mein usse bayan kar diya.

Mile na mile mujhe wo kabhi,
Yaadon mein ab usse fanah kar diya,

Dil ki hasrat bus ek hi thi,
Dekhna tha usse aakhri bar.

Par wo nahi kar payi,
Mera intezaar mera intezaar…

🌺 Dil mein chupi thi ek baat,
Jo mein keh na paaya.

Adhuri reh gayi who mulaqaat,
Haal- e - dil bayan usse kar na paya.

Aaj door hain Nazron se who,
Par dil ke kareeb hai.

Mile na mile phir wo,
Par Yaadon mein har pal shareek hai...

“Giran: Priceless Memories” by Sahil Miglani is a collection of Hindi poems that will lead you to nostalgia. Starting from the cover which often is the aspect that grabs a reader's attention immediately, the poet has managed to do a tremendous job in choosing one as it gives you the picture of what you are about to read in the book.
The huge tree of memories is not only beautiful in the picture, but the word-painting that is done inside is equally marvelous.
The language of the poems is a blend of Urdu which sates the thirst of the readers who prefer the language play, and at the same time, the vocabulary is simple enough to be understood by the reader of any and every range.
The tone of the book is mostly melancholic with a tinge of childhood tales, inspirational phrases and reminisce of friends. Although the poet has poured his heart into his works, my personal favorites are ‘Kab jaoge,’ ‘Apna’ and ‘Andhera.’
There was one thing that I think would have made the reading more interesting; it is always a pleasure and a different experience altogether when a Hindi book is written in हिंदी and not Hindi.

Overall, I found the book to be good especially for someone who had just begun to read Hindi poetry.

.
"Mujh Mein thoda sa tu hai, tujh Mein thoda sa main.
Mujhe har pal bas khayal hai tera,
Paas hokar bhi manzar ru hai mera."
.
The book 'Giran' is a collection of Hindi poems. The poems range from various topics such as friendship, romance, heartbreak and hardship. .
Each and every poem are full of emotions. From longing to loneliness to love, you will feel emotions in each and every word. Few poems will make you smile while few poems will make you think. How creative the author is can be figured out from his initial few poems itself. The best part about his poems is that anyone and everyone can relate to them.
.
.
The poems are very easy to read. Even if you are not a poetry person, you wouldn't have any difficulty in read them. They are more of a prose. Short and to the point. Full of emotions.
.
I enjoyed reading the book. If you are poetry person, you can definitely pick it up. Even if you are not, this one would surely delight you.

So here is the book Giran infront of you.

Giran- priceless memory by Sahil Miglani. I really like this book and I must say it is amazing. some of us don't know how to read Hindi Manuscript as it's our mother language. By keeping it in his mind our Author tried something unique. In giran, Sahil wrote his collection in Hinglish language. I really enjoyed it a lot it's a short read book but when you sit it to read then you will fall in the feelings of the words.

I read this book three times by reading it you can relate every words to yours.

Poet- Sahil Miglani

GIRAN PRICELESS MEMORIES- There are 31 poems in a single book and each poem has its different beauty, as the poet expresses different emotions in each poem each poem has different theme like some of the poems like intezar, sukun, uphaas, sahil, waqt and many more like this.

As the names of the poems suggests each poem gives different meaning like fear, childhood, silence, destiny, gardens and many more relatable feelings.

Personal review- The language of the poem is so simple and so expressive that the reader can relate himself, at some point the reader may feel nostalgic, at some point he may feel motivated and determined and many more emotions like this. This poem is suggested to every poetry lover.

Touches your heart and soul... written with passion and honesty. Real life emotions and memories displayed through the writers eyes, ears and words.

Topics and readings that would resonate with everyone in all aspects of life.

I loved the idea of how he tried to describe different human emotions through these poems.

One of my favourites, 'Intezar' feels as if the poet has taken the words directly from my mind.

Some of my other favourite poems from this collection would be Waqt and Uphaas.

Within its pages, an array of identifiable emotions; from the hurt and pain of loss and various emotions has been covered.

Would liked it more if it would have been in hindi script.
It feels so good to finally have finished it!

A nostalgic read
Review. Giran by Sahil miglani is a small book of poems covering different facets of happiness loneliness love sadness etc .A total of 31 poems covers entire gamut of experience of childhood.Though the poems are written in Roman script the words are in Hindi which however gives a different feel to it.Inspite of this, poem are written in easy to understand language and the word flow is very smooth.
. Poems like khud se mulaqaat, Bachpan, Bas tera zikr hai, sawera and many more are inspired by the author’s life.some of the lines which touchd me are
Aasman mein parindo Ka paimana Nahi hota
Jo haar ko hara de Woh manzil se begaana Nahi hota

No words to explain the exiquisteness of poetry. I will not give a lot of insights though because it will spoil the experience but buy this yourself to sense the magic.

Beautifully written. Sahil's words have the power to touch your hearts. Every poem representing different stages of life, different type of feeling.

Once started, will stop by completing it. Full of melodies and sweetness of language. It allures your heart and gives peace to your brain.

The simplicity and bliss which this book gave me was really outstanding.

Giran is simple yet very impactful. The poems define the subtle beauty of life in natural things. Each poem stands on it's own and also collectively shines together and this is what makes this book a beautiful collection. With its honesty, and romantic flair it is both raw and relatable about the smallest and the grandest moments in life. The book potrays the heart-breaking lows of life and love into a few perfectly evocative lines, ensuring that his words will become etched in your mind. Its a book that will leave you smiling and energised.
